Umbra
Heavenly Rose Dragon FIRE Dragon / Synchro 8 / 2900 / 2500 1 Tuner + "Black Rose Dragon" If this card's Synchro Material would be destroyed by a card effect, you can Synchro Summon this card instead. If you do, this card cannot attack this turn. During either player's turn, you can banish 1 card in your Graveyard to select 1 monster your opponent controls: the selected monster's ATK becomes 0, until the End Phase. If this card leaves the field, destroy all cards on the field. Then, you can Special Summon 1 "Black Rose Dragon" from your Graveyard during the End Phase. Fairy Queen Dragon LIGHT Dragon / Synchro 8 / 2500 / 3500 1 Tuner + "Ancient Fairy Dragon" You can Synchro Summon this card during either player's turn. Once per turn, when your opponent declares an attack, you can negate the attack and increase your Life Points by the attacking monster's ATK. Then, return the attacking monster to the top of its owner's Deck. You can Tribute this card: Special Summon as many different Level 4 or lower monsters from your hand as possible. If you control no monsters, you can banish this card in your Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Ancient Fairy Dragon" from your Graveyard. LOYALTY: A new concept Loyalty is another way to interact with your monsters - not by summoning more powerful ones, but reinforcing the ones you have. Loyalty only applies to monsters, and do not affect Spell or Trap Cards unless specified or implied. Certain monsters have the ability to make others loyal to them, which has several implied effects: • If a leader monster (i.e. the monster that a loyal monster is loyal to) would leave the field, the loyal monster can Tribute themselves instead. • A leader monster can increase the morale of their troops by negating their own attack for the turn, increasing the loyal monsters' ATK/DEF by 100 x the leader's Level or Rank. • A loyal monster will always be controlled by whoever controls their leader. [WIP] Arc 1: War of the World-Ender Oath of Service Equip Spell Select 1 monster you control. The equipped monster becomes loyal to the selected monster. Armed Renegade WIND Warrior 4 / 1600 / 1200 This card cannot become loyal. Reliable Warlord EARTH Warrior 4 / 1900 / 1200 Once per turn, you can activate these effects: • Increase this card's Level by 1. • Select 1 monster you control whose Level or Rank is lower than this card's Level. It becomes loyal to this card. Convincing Negotiator EARTH Fiend 2 / 0 / 1200 You can Tribute this card: Select 1 monster your opponent controls and 1 monster you control. The opponent's selected monster becomes loyal to your selected monster. Charismatic Stallion LIGHT Beast 4 / 1500 / 1200 If this card has a leader monster, the leader monster inflicts piercing damage. Band of Mercenaries EARTH Warrior 4 / 2400 / 1800 During each of your Standby Phases and when this card attacks, pay 800 Life Points. If you do not, this card becomes loyal to a monster your opponent controls. This card cannot attack your opponent directly. Avenge the Fallen Trap Card Activate only when a loyal monster is destroyed. Increase the ATK of all other monsters loyal to the same leader monster as the destroyed monster by 800, until the End Phase. In addition, they inflict piercing damage, until the End Phase. Zaithraman, the World-Ender DARK Dragon 10 / 3500 / 2800 You can Tribute 4 Level 3 or lower monsters you control: Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. When this card is Summoned: destroy all other cards you control. Then, Special Summon as many "Servant Tokens" (EARTH/Beast-type/Level 3/1200 ATK/800 DEF) to your side of the field as possible. They become loyal to this card, and gain 100 ATK for each card that was destroyed by this card's effect. Minotaur General EARTH Beast-Warrior 7 / 2400 / 2100 You can Tribute 2 Beast-type monsters you control: Special Summon this card from your hand. All Level 4 or lower Beast-type monsters on the field become loyal to this card. When this card destroys a monster by battle: Add 1 Level 4 or lower Beast-type monster in your Graveyard to your hand. Minotaur Sorceress EARTH Beast-Warrior 6 / 2300 / 2200 This card's Type is also treated as Spellcaster. Once per turn: you can discard 1 Spell Card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Beast-type monster from your hand or Graveyard. Hungry Rat DARK Beast 3 / 800 / 500 When this card is Summoned: Add 1 "Hungry Rat" in your Graveyard to your hand. You can only activate the effect of a "Hungry Rat" once per turn. Once per turn, you can banish 1 monster in your opponent's Graveyard: this card gains ATK equal to the banished monster's Level x 100 or Rank x 200, until the End Phase. Vision of the Man in Shadows Continuous Spell Card If this card would be destroyed by "Zaithraman, the World-Ender": negate the destruction. Then, this card is treated as an Effect Monster Card (DARK/Spellcaster-type/Level 8/2500 ATK/2500 DEF) with the following effect: • You can discard 1 Spell Card: Special Summon 1 "Enchanted Beast Token" (LIGHT/Beast-type/Level 5/2200 ATK/1900 DEF) to your side of the field. When this card is activated, select 1 "Zaithraman, the World-Ender" you control. It becomes loyal to this card. Arc 2: Into the Abyss Army Recruiter LIGHT Warrior / Tuner 3 / 1500 / 100 If you control a Level 5 or higher monster, once per turn, you can activate 1 of the following effects: • Add this card in your Graveyard to your hand. Pursuit of White Shadow Trap Card Activate only when an opponent's leader monster leaves the field. Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. It cannot declare an attack this turn. Urtravio, War-General of Dark World DARK Fiend 7 / 2500 / 2100 If you have Summoned exactly 2 "Dark World" monsters this turn, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Summoned: select 2 "Dark World" monsters on the field. They become loyal to this card. When a "Dark World" monster you control would be destroyed (either by battle or by card effect): discard 1 card instead. Evil Hero Wicked Avenger DARK Fiend / Fusion 8 / 2800 / 2700 1 "HERO" monster + 1 Fiend-type monster You can banish the Fusion Material on your field or in your Graveyard: Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) Once per turn, select 1 Fiend-type monster in your Graveyard: increase this card's ATK by the selected monster's ATK / 2 until the End Phase. If a monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can banish the top card of your Deck instead. The monster that would have been destroyed becomes loyal to this card. Hel, Death-Goddess of the Aesir DIVINE Spellcaster / Synchro 10 / 3800 / 2800 1 "Nordic Beast" Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, you can negate the activation and effect of any Spell or Trap Cards, until the End Phase. Agro
BRD + Level Eater + Plaguey = This or Trish The effect that pretty much makes the material act as a Formula isn't all that useful, and technically speaking, I'm not sure if it would work. Destruction effect is nice. So loyalty, if I can try to equate it, is a lot like sixsams in the destruction effect. For Negotiator: can just be: "Select 1 monster your Opponent controls and 1 monster you control. The Opponent's selected monster becomes loyal to your selected monster." Link to comment
Umbra
What the effect does it that it lets you summon this after you nuke with Black Rose if you control a Level 1 Tuner. It is a lot like SixSams in that regard, if perhaps more one-way. That's actually a more logical wording for Negotiator, thanks! Change incoming. Link to comment
Umbra
Alright, slight re-purposing of the thread. Second Signer Dragon Upgrade posted! Ancient Fairy Dragon now takes to the skies and achieves a new level of power, evolving her into the majestic Fairy Queen Dragon. The Loyalty section has been entirely redesigned, separating the different mini-sets into Arcs. The first arc, War of the World-Ender, describes a human empire's struggle against the World-Ender, a terrific dragon whose very existence warps reality around it, and its loyal servants among the minotaurs. However, something dark lies behind the World-Ender's sudden reappearance into the world; a being known only as the White Shadow. The second arc is titled Into the Abyss, where the human empire readies an army to march into the realm of the White Shadow, where they encounter all kinds of wicked enemies on their path to the White Shadow's lair. bury the year
Derp. I like the loyalty concept, but it seems too MtG in conception w/ keywords and all. That shouldn't stop you, but flavor-wise it just seems in the wrong came. /opinion Now, as for Man of Shadows, a) I assume the token becomes the leader? b) What happens if 2+ tokens are made? Umbra
I envision it as only slightly more complicated than, say, Equip Spells; we don't have full-out descriptions of what equipping means on every card that lists it, so I don't see why it should be written here. (However, I may convert some of the leader-loyal implied effects into cards.) The token does become the leader. In case 2 or more tokens would be Summoned, the summoning player choses which Token to become the leader. However, as Vision is a very special case, it deserves a slight edit of the effect.
