TOM 3.5
I have seen several good fanfics that are not full blown screenplay in script format and other sites allow it in their fanfict section and many ideas can't be done or would take to long to be fullblown and like I said I have seen amazing screenplays that are not full blown so I propose that screenplay should not be full blown but at least have the followingGood detailsome form of narrationeasy to readsome stage directionsThese requirements can be changed to be implemented this is just a start

I'm sick and tired of this. Your post was locked because you were acting like a goddamn idiot and because you were breaking the rules. Screenplays are not allowed on this site, and I doubt that will get changed anytime soon. I don't give a rat's ass about any other site (bold). This is YCM, and the rules state that Screenplays are not allowed. And another bit of advice: no one is going to read this because no one goes to the Fan-Fic forum anymore, because they are tired of seeing morons like you. Oh, and also, learn to use punctuation. That's also another reason why people don't like you or your writing. If you're gonna post, at least post using correct spelling, correct punctuation, and correct grammar. I saw your Screenplay. It's not allowed. I posted my original Screenplay. Still not allowed. I post the first scene from "The Crucible", tweak it out a bit with some jargon, and post it on here. STILL NOT ALLOWED. And if you need to ask me what "The Crucible" is, go kill yourself. And believe me, I could have said something a lot meaner, but I'm not going to. Legend Zero
SCRIPTS/SCREENPLAYSAlice: Hey, Bob! What's up?Bob: Nothing special, Alice.Fics written like this are forbidden, for they show little to no description of the setting and characters. However, full-blown theatrical screenplays with stage directions and all are allowed, provided they could theoretically be given to two random people on the street and be acted out without any confusion. Let's try to read the rules, shall we?

Yours though, from what I've seen was just essentially "[name]: [words]" with no description at all.Screenplays can be a fine read if they have actions included in the script that allow you to get some idea of what is happening, tones of voice, etc. even if it may not be as detailed as a book and you might not be able to put yourself in the action as you would be able to with a good book. TOM 3.5
Look Its not the fact that they locked and i am working on an edited version and look those other sites are just well i don't like the way they criticize the screenplays and well i think a lot of ideas are just not usable with full blown and its timely so I just asked about support. So don't go saying i am an idiot just because it was late and i was tired when i was writing and i did bad but i have seen other good ideas shunned just because there not full blown when there better than 20% of the fullblown screenplays. and pikaperson not to be rude but it says under editing cause i was so tired didn't realize how bad it was so can you not post a link it is just you know Uggghhh but just asking and like i said not to be rude so don't take it the wrong way Oh and star i wasn't talking about my fanfict i was talking anout others i have seen and last time i checked the post didn't say I want to make this suggestion cause my fanfict was awesome and stuff no I said thisI have seen several good fanfics that are not full blown screenplay in script format and other sites allow it in their fanfict section and many ideas can't be done or would take to long to be fullblown and like I said I have seen amazing screenplays that are not full blown so I propose that screenplay should not be full blown but at least have the followingGood detailsome form of narrationeasy to readsome stage directionsThese requirements can be changed to be implemented this is just a start
IceDorago
People prefer actual stories because they have detail and are overall more enjoyable. Honestly you'd probably be better off writing it in a story format as writing something decent like that would probably be easier than making a screenplay that people would actually find okay and not extremely terrible. IceDorago
The rest of the post says yours didn't follow the rules. Pretty sure Dante is claiming that they're not allowed because generally the screenplays break the rules, or something.

Guest Dante v. Nero
And was not refering to mlp and i did have detail in it No it didn't. You looked at mine (hopefully you did) and noticed that there was actual laughter where it should be put at those comedic moments, actual non-sense banter where it should be placed for those perfect moments, there was actual plot (albeit, not having a whole lot because it's the first scene), there was actual conversation. Yours was a bunch of non-sensical, illiterate, misspelled words that made absolutely no sense. Pretty sure Dante is claiming that they're not allowed because generally the screenplays break the rules, or something. Well, they are allowed, but it is harder to conceptualize something from a screenplay than it is an actual story, because minds think differently when reading a script than an actual story. Guest PikaPerson01
Oh and star i wasn't talking about my fanfict i was talking anout others i have seen Fun Fact: The latest fanfic-that-is-a-play was Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel of Destiny http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/258476-yu-gi-oh-duel-of-destiny-season-1-pg/ It's (currently) on page 4 and was last posted in on August 12th, two and a half months ago. So no, I'm gonna have to call your bluff and assume you meant your own crappy story. and pikaperson not to be rude but it says under editing cause i was so tired didn't realize how bad it wasWe know it's bad. You made no effort in fixing it. PM a mod if you want to re-do it, or start a new topic where you fix your crap. And by the way, your story doesn't have good detail, some stage direction, nor is it easy to read. It has narration, but a narrator isn't necessary for a play. On-topic: There's nothing to support, because we already have a majority of that, if you bothered to read the rules. If you're saying that your story has any of the above, it doesn't. Period. Full stop.
John A. Zoidberg
Look anybody who isn't here to actually support it or to not support it with a good reason leave The reason is that you broke the rules. It's simple. Patch, if a moderator (especially one like Pika, who is very often in the Role Playing/Fan Fic section from what I've seen [i recall being in a few RPs with Pika actually. Bad ones, but RP's nonetheless]), you should PROBABLY take that as a hint that you're doing something wrong.

Guest Cursed Reaction
Oh dear. Irony is indeed a cruel mistress. Plays are a completely different style of writing to normal fictions, and therefore must be treated as so. Also, plays are not simply conversation without having to constantly replace words for "said" either. What you suggested is already in the rules anyway. When they say "fullblown", they mean "with the same vigor and passion that a normal fiction with whole paragraphs of writing would have". No support, because you're just complaining about your own play, and that what you want is already in the rules. And also, it was locked basically because it follow the "Minimum Length" rule. That's it.
