On a certain day... in a certain hour, a certain minute - there was a convergence. 15 people, of different races, nationalities, genders, and ages all happened to be in an old arcade, and all discovered a strange, old machine marked "Duel Terminal". And at the same time, they were all enveloped in blinding light, and passed into unconciousness. This was fated to happen. This is TERMINAL WORLD!!!



Basically, this is an RP where 15 people get sucked into the duel terminal world, who experience and influence its progression. I know the intro sounds a little cheesy, but bear with me people, it will get better. For the most part, it will be very open, and the characters will be able to do whatever they want, and explore many different areas. They can band together, or split up. They can team up, or fight amongst themselves. Although it is open, it does stick to a plot, which I - and only I - can influence, with a separate section in my posts. (This turned into a big block of text, so the rest of my rant here is further down the post)

-YCM Advanced Clause Applies (Posts must be at least 4 lines in length)
-No Metagaming (Your character knowing things they shouldn't)
-No Powerplaying (Taking control of other peoples characters)
-No Godmodding (Making your character invincible)
-There are 15 character slots (excluding mine), and you can have up to two characters.
-You can curse VERY mildly, but anything else you should asterik (****) out.
-I'm fine with most violence and gore, just not anything too excessively horrible.
-NO sexual stuff. You can have romance and kissing and all that crap, but frankly that's not what this RP is about.
-Whatever I say goes, and you may not talk back to me.

Personality: He loves music, loves to draw, and he's kind of a super genius. He wants to learn more about the Terminal World, what it's about, how it came into existence, etc. He also is an amateur manga artist (often told that he's the best in his school) and is very strong.
Bio: His mother was a famous artist, and encouraged him to start drawing, painting, etc., from a young age. However, when he was six, she was driving home from an art exhibition when a drunk driver hit her car head on, killing her on impact. He slowly retreated into himself, and found him drawing more than usual, developing his art skills, treading in her footsteps. He had one special Yu-Gi-Oh! card that was given to him by his mother, a Dark Magician which she drew herself. He eventually took up dueling, as well as hunting, particularly with a bow-and-arrow, which he excelled at, earning the name "Hawkeye," after the comic book superhero.
Why I want to join: Well, I really like RPing and this seems pretty interesting. [/spoiler]

Personality: Rei is calm and keeps to herself, but is rather naive and innocent.
Brief History/Background: Rei's history is enigmatic. She refuses to talk about it, and will quickly change the subject when asked. It seems like the cute girl either doesn't want to talk about her history...or has no history to begin with...
Why you want to join: Rei wishes to learn why people fight, and she has decided to appear at the arcade when this event occurs. The Terminal World is the perfect place for her to study the reasons behind conflict, due to the tensions between the races.[/spoiler]

Appearance: Old man with dark, sleepless eyes and long, matted black hair. He wears a tattered robe and boots that seem to be once magnificent, but are now nothing but rags. He is dirty, with long fingernails and bony appendages.
Personality: Evil, ruthless, cunning, mysterious
Brief History/Background: A strange man who has been in the duel terminal world long before the new 15. He seems to have connections to the darker races...

[Spoiler='A breakdown of what my posts will look like]
1. Shameless Power-Playing
In order to move the story along, there will be points where I will have to take control of things. Weather it's small or a huge plot revelation, it will always be at the very top of my post.
2. NPC Control
Also, I will have to take control of various NPCs over time, also to help the story along. This and the first thing will sort of blend together, and I promise they won't be too excessive. You will have a lot of control. This isn't just me telling a story.
3. Grephon
If you can't tell, my very own character is the villain. He will side with the various villainous races throughout the RP, and will always be the main antagonist. Beware of Meta-Gaming, you won't always be able to hear what he is saying, or know what he is doing.
4. Goings on/Gradual Plot Changes
This is my little free space to tell what is going on in the terminal world, or introduce gradual plot changes.
5. New Races
As the RP goes on, I will introduce - or you will discover - new races. You may NOT interact with races not formally introduced. I will probably keep a list of introduced races here in the OOC thread, for handy - dandy reference. Here is the general template for race intros:

6. Objective
Although this is mostly an "open" RP, at times I might introduce objectives to move the plot along. These objectives, as well as the new races, will be in italics.

Things to keep in mind (aka the rest of my rant):

In addition to my character, I can also control any NPCs, meaning races that can talk, (e.g. Gem-Knights) and sometimes ones who can't. I'll give you SOME power in controlling entities from races that can't talk (e.g. Naturias) , but please do not go crazy with them. Also, some races have some that can talk and some that can't (e.g. Flamvells) and in those cases, you can sort of control lower guards, and stuff. In fact, you can control lower grunts in talking races if you won't make them do much... just... don't do much. This is kind of hard to explain, but you'll get it as you go along, with some help from me. Just don't control kings or other high ranks, I'll do those. And some races might not be available from the start, but I'll make it clear when I reveal them to be interacted with. Also, if you're entering an unknown cave or area, you might want to end your post suspensefully, because I retain the right to VERY briefly control you character to advance the plot, introduce new races, etc. I will NOT abuse this, don't worry. Also, keep in mind that there are NO YUGIOH CARDS IN THIS RP! The monsters in the duel terminal world are never contained in ANY sort of device. Ok.. that seems to be most of my rant, but if you have ANY questions, for god's sake ASK THEM!
