Keys to Eternity [IC/Accepting]

Lavi was in the midsts of the crowds, showing the sombre expression expected of those at a funeral. While he wasn't close to the headmaster, he was grateful to the man, after all, he was the one that hired him in the first place. He quietly made a sign of respect for the man as they lowered his body into the grave. He supposed if something was to happen, it would have happened already. It seemed all those rumors were just that; rumors. The gunshot proved in wrong. The demons that followed even more so. He cursed under his breath. This was bad. The place was filled with mundanes. That was why the funeral was opposed to be private; to limit the causalities among the regular folk in case anything did happen.

"Run!" he ordered to no one in particular. He didn't have the time to set up a fence or barrier, so he would have to hope for the best. He held his palms together, turning them as soon as the magic sparks from his rings connected, opening a gate in the palm of his right hand. Golden light poured forth and formed a red and gold hilt, which he didn't hesitate to draw. The hilt dragged gold streams of energy that lashed the head off a demon that was charging past him at a mundane lady. The light solidified into a sickle blade, with a curious hook shape to it's last third.

"Empower me, Regulus' light," He darted forward with a step, hooking one of the demons by the shoulder and twirling, slamming it into another one nearby, before spearing both of them with a lancing blast of golden magic. Two down, who knows how many more to go.

“Mark . . . Mark? MARK!? Tell my you’re getting ALL of this!!!” the news reporter screamed above the panicked crowd attempting to push past each other and get to a safer area, if there remained such a place. Some of the magical teachers were attempted to stop the Campus wide broadcast, though it was all for naught. The media would not be withheld and kept taping the display of magic and demonic creatures.

“Somebody help!!!”

“Oh God!!!”

Many of the mundane couldn’t defend themselves, being easily overran by the shapeless creatures and even those who could use magic soon found that their power was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of bodies being hurled at them; both living and that of the recently departed. As the horrors spread from corner to corner of the city a select few kept a cool head, knowing the possible objective of the person behind this, and began acting out their plans. Teachers and students of the magical arts were beginning to fight back, pushing the beasts back and saving mundane from being slaughtered like cattle.

“They appear to be putting up a better fight than you first perceived Master ny~an,” a woman said appearing behind the cloaked figure and kneeling down, her cat-like ears twitching and enjoying the beautiful melody about her. Scoffing the figure turned and looked at her, clad in hardly worthy battle gear, then addressed her, “Addi what are you doing here? We need to retrieve the scroll as soon as possible. The summoning shan’t last much longer and once the demons are banished from this earthly realm . . . the teachers most definitely will descend upon us in due haste.”

“Yes of course, but can’t I enjoy the screaming a bit more? Ny~an . . .” A harsh unspoken command made her flinch, stand up and then give a low bow, “Of course as you wish ny~an.”

Leaping off the building the woman bounded down the building with cat-like reflexes, landing on her feet before making her way through the crowds to her destination. Along the way she lashed out at random, her claws making a trail of blood to fly behind her as she laughed and sang out about the joys of murdering innocents. It wasn’t soon that, in mid leap, she heard something and was blasted onto her back.

“"Empower me, Regulus' light!”

The student, unknowingly attacking one of the stronger participants of the opposing side, had assaulted her with an arrow of light; only hitting her because she had been so preoccupied with her song and dance. Groaning she staggered to her feet and held the corner of her jaw which turned bright red from the impact. Flexing her claws she hissed at the boy, “You interrupted me in the middle of such a great performance, ny~an!”
Inside the student dorms the air grew cold, the darkness shattering the light bulbs as the creatures advanced and even appeared out of the encroaching shadows. Lumbering forward they tore through every door and entered to trash the room in their search. When ever they encountered a person, that person no longer remained alive when they left. A group of the creatures, larger than the majority, and lead by a woman barely covered in what can hardly be considered clothing stopped in front of Eliza’s room. Placing her long slender hands on her hips the woman tilted her head to the side, causing the large chest she had to jiggle slightly, and let out an annoyed sigh, “Mistress better be right about this. At least it’s for her . . .”

“But did she have to send me to a place filled with virgin children? How unsettling,” she finished kicking the door down and waving her hand for the creatures to allow her to search this room; as she had nothing better to do. Walking in she looked around and slowly opened the closet, the bathroom door, opened the fridge, took a soda, and then began digging through the dresser drawer. Pulling out a pair of lace panties she walked to the creatures and displayed them, cracking a joke but quickly destroying them when they didn’t laugh with her; tossing them behind her to dust her hands off, “Guess I’ll go see how Mistress is doing in her search.”
“Ladies and Gentlemen at home I don’t know what to tell you,” the reporter said as they ducked down to avoid an explosion in the distance, “But what we are seeing right now is nothing short of astonishing! A massive army of . . . Of . . . Demons has appeared at the funeral of James Edwards and has begun systematically killing and pillaging everything in sight. But not only that, but people from . . .”

“The school,” she stopped as one of the mentioned men flew by her and was impaled by a demon soldier’s spear, her stomach churning and resisting the need to vomit. But she shook it off like a professional and returned to speaking, “From the school are using what appears to be, and I’m not lying, magic to fend off the demon army!”

The army of darkness was slowly spreading over the entire campus, having already engulfed the student dorms, and many thought it would continue until all of the Campus City was consumed. Yet little did even the most calculating minds know, that the army had a time limit. A time limit that was quickly winding to it’s final minute. If they did not obtain the scroll, for even a moment to read it, it would be absolutely pointless.

The scroll. The Scroll! They needed the scroll!!!

Akira was in the library when the final goodbye was being said. These sad moments made him very awkward.
He was bored after the girl fainted in the classroom today and no class after that;wonder where the girl was now? must be the nurse's room still ... he though to himself.
he wanted to know more about magic and magical applications. what was it that came out of his palms that day ? do i really have any magical capabilities ? if not the teachers he could might as well find some interesting things about "that" incident from the Library itself.

there was a faint commotion outside, which gradually increased ... and kept increasing which sounded like screams and shrieks from the grounds. He wished to have a first hand glimpse of what was wrong. As he ran outside, all he could see were strange shadowy creatures and moved. no that was not movement, it was as if they were made of nothing, they floated in mid air.

one of these things suddenly had his head ripped off from its body with a bright red ray of light.
He started to run back to the hedge just outside the library. The thought of he promising to himself that he would never back down again, struck him. he thought "can i bring out the ray of light again ?" some one with a very deep voice replied "only if you wish to my son, its all in the heart. If you think you can rip off the beast's head you can". with some degree of confidence, he closed his eyes, and aimed for the nearest shadowy being.

a spark of light was all that happened, that was definitely not a ray. he was depressed. The flash of light was however enough to grab the attention of one of the beings, which started to move towards him. scared of this sudden development, he aimed for this being again, but nothing happened at all ! now he panicked.
that same deep voice sounded once again, Gorou, you are a wimp, you know that ? anyways, I am coming out. who are you ? thought akira in his head.

then a big fellow apparently started to appear from the ground bang next to where he was standing. he had a ram's head for a face, and was very tall and of the muscular kinds. he also carried a big weapon of sorts. I am Jigoku Hitsuji, the Ram. Since you are too afraid to put up a fight I will teach you how to fight like a real man. The weird man-beast grabbed his polearm in both his hands and swung at the beast coming up to them. It was like hot knife through a slice of butter.

He had a warm smile in his face and started to speak to him. If you were to use that Ysein Shin (Wild Spirit) you will need to learn to do that how to summon your greatest ally in the battlefield.
Akira was "wait ! What .. who... are you ? and what is it that you are talking of ?"
Jigoku Hitsuji was flustered, but hurried up, "now is not the time for that. you will need to learn how to make the proper hand seals to bring out your powers. for the Shin, you need to make the seal of the goat" and he showed him how to do that.

The seal was easily recreated, and a great ram like animal emerged and charged to wards the nearest beast. the shear pressure of the Ram forming out of his magical skills had thrown him back "Bravo, well done", exclaimed Hitsuji, "now the next one"
Akira was already down, and had smacked his head against the wall of the library. He saw the blurry image of the great man-beast shaking him, as he slowly passed out.

"Performance, you say?" Lavi scowled. His eyes glowed as his angry built. "You endanger the lives of innocent people and students, and the lives of those without knowledge of magic, even risk exposure of magic to the world, an existence that has been carefully hidden away as myth for centuries, and you call it a performance? I'll deal with you." He suppressed his angry, letting it fuel his power. On his forehead, a golden symbol appeared; the sign of leo within the ring of of the sun sign, the central dot moved upwards to rest within the arc of the Leo. Lavi spun quickly, carving a ring in the dirt with his sword and a few symbols. The marks glowed gold, and complex patterns formed in the air.

"Open the gates of the Guardian's Dens," Lavi intoned as he slid his hand into the empty circle hovering in front of him. He twisted, and the patterns shifted, forming four larger circles that vaguely resembled the gates to cages. "Come forth, Pride of Four Lion Spirits." The pattens in the circles parted, and the spirits Lavi summoned streamed out, half solid, half mist. They were like lion shaped chunks of space, with silver gold outlines defining their form and bodies black as the void with pinpricks of stars scattered within their depths. They looked at Lavi. "Go," he told them, and they surged into the crowds, slaying demons as they went.

Lavi was glad it was night. In the day, under the sun's influence, he was had greater brute strength and magic intensity, but under the light of the stars, his magic was more controlled and free flowing, letting his spells seem almost effortless. But he had to deal with the cat demon before him. A sword would do him much good against her. He sheathed his blade, and instead summoned parts of his armor. "Open the gates of the storeroom; bring forth the lights of Stigma, Iota, Rho, Omicron, Alpha." His feet and hands glowed, the light forming golden clawed boots and greaves, the right leg having small spike over the knee, and clawed gauntlets on his arms. He leveled a glare at the cat and motioned for her to come at him. "Taking you down will be a step in the right direction."
Unseen, barely noticeable by nature, hardly more than a trick of the light, thin silver threads were creeping from the grave of the headmaster. Barely moving at the pace of water sliding on a flat surface, they trailed towards the outer edges of the memorial, headless of the fallen bodies of both human and demon, ignorant of the spilt blood and and gore, oblivious to the torn and damaged landscape. They for there were many, slide over all, heading towards their goal, the a ring of carved stones that encircled the grave site, a fifty foot radius on either side, flanked by statues of robed figures.

Addi stood up as the boy yelled at him, questioning her terminology that killing people was no performance but an atrocity. Tapping her foot as he continued spouting off nonsense she slowly started growing bored, only relieved when he began summoning lion spirits to his aid. With each silver outlined lion that was summoned she crouched down lower and lower, grinning as the final one materialized, "So you're from the House of Leo? ny~an."

"Go"

Addi had thought they would've been sent towards her to prevent her from fleeing but instead did the pointless task of slaying demons. Watching them being consumed by the mass of demons she shook her head and looked back at Lavi, "Pointless ny~an . . . but I suppose I can toy with you for a bit ny~an."

Getting on all fours she charged at him, dodging the swing of his sword with grace and ease before leaping into his shoulders and kicking him in the chest. Back flipping she landed back on her feet and stood up with a grin, purring quietly.

Eliza lay there, quivering, quiet, assured that she was safe when nothing had been seen near her room since the report. Her hope was shattered though, when the door came crashing to the floor and demons started entering. She shivered, breathing in low, quick breaths. Closing her eyes, she hoped to be invisible to the monsters; then she heard a woman's voice. She's going through my underwear? Eliza was disgusted, yet curious. Moving out just an inch, she opened one eye in time to see the strange lady kill one of her own creations. Quickly, she crawled further against the wall, forgetting how to breathe. When they eventually left, she'd nearly fainted again from a lack of oxygen.

Is.. are they gone..? When she was re-assured that it was safer, she slowly crawled towards the bathroom to see if James had fared well. "James?" Her voice was a low, raspy whisper.

"Eliza?" James opened the curtain, shock and dismay across his face, but he was unharmed. "Eliza, what are you doing out here!?"

"We've got to go find Lavi", she said with certainty, "or else we'll be killed."

Joey overheard and found his way to the both of them. "I'm going to stay here, okay?"

Eliza and James shared a look, but agreed that he could if he wanted to. Slowly and silently, the two of them headed out the door and in the opposite direction of that maniacal woman. Only then did she remember, desert lilies are used for poison! They aren't very strong alone, used in groups for anesthetics, but when a lot are gathered and mixed correctly, they can be quite powerful.

The voluminous woman had stopped walking and sniffed the air, her ears twitching as she did. The more she smelled the air the more her body began to tingle all over, sending goosebumps to form on her flawless skin, and wrap both arms around as she turned her head around; even without meaning to it was done in an alluring way. Her face red and her lips pulled up into a smile the woman, "Mmmm seems I missed somebody . . . guess I should see who this lovely little lady is and play with her a bit. Mistress forgive me for my bad habits."

Lets out a string of light fluttery giggles she turned back and went back down the hallway in order to find the girl she had located, humming all the way.

James grabbed ahold of Eliza's shoulder, noticing a pair of footsteps only slightly louder than theirs. Instinctively, she looked back, her face still drained of color from earlier. She faced forward and kept walking, but held her hand flat and gently picked it up, so to speak. Simultaneously, a small part of the ground in front of the woman rose, causing her to lose her footing and slip. "Now!"

James understood the plan and ran down the corridor, Eliza matching his speed. "Where's Lavi; do you even know!?"

She shook her head and pushed herself to run faster, "save your breath."

"Oh my, two rowdy ones," Tamane-chan said with a grin, spotting them as they turned to run. Tripping over the raised floor she caught her footing and let out a sensual laugh before giving chase. The chase, God how she loved to see her pray run from her; all in futility as she was soon on top of them. Between the two now she lashed out with her long curved nails and shoved the boy into the wall before tripping the girl. Skidding to a stop she turned around to face the both of them, giggling while her entire body began shivering, her face bright red, with a smile, "Naughty naughty running like that . . . you'll have to be punished, severely."

The two of them stared at her for what seemed like forever, before finally coming to their senses. "C?" asked James.

Eliza nodded and slid a plant from her bag to him, keeping half for herself. Calliroot is famous for its ability to increase adrenaline and overall will power. They chewed quickly through the stem of the plant, waiting only a second before getting to their feet. Eliza raised both her hands, giving her and James leverage needed to escape. Using the split second they had before the woman realized what was happening, they were off again; using the root's potential to its fullest in hopes that they would find Lavi before dying..

The kick actually made Lavi step back. He lightly dusted the front of his suit with a mild expression. "My, my. You really are on another level than those cannon fodder demons." His lions were both having trouble, yet fighting with ease at the same time. They were lower level summons, so they were a bit weak, though still good enough to handle the horde, but the numbers were setting them back a bit. Mostly incorporeal, it took a few moments for them to pull themselves together every time a demon managed to disperse one. Still, they were fine for now. He idly flicked his fingers, and three gold sparks shot off. His concern was the little kitten in front of him.

"Shine, Alpha, Omicron," he whispered calmly. The two gauntlets glowed from within, charged with magic. He boots dug into the ground, as he leaned forward a bit, then ripped out a chunk of turf as he covered the distance between himself and girl. With his right hand, he snapped, three more sparks shooting off while he tensed the fingers of his other hand, slashing downward sharply, a shockwave with five jagged peaks tearing into the ground and the girl from close range, rapidly expanding. "Lion Shock."

The first of the stones accepted the silver tendrils with gratitude, the tendrils oozing deep within them, filling the intricate carvings within. As the boundary stones slowly filled, the threads began sinking even further beneath the surface, hiding from the sight of those that may or may not have spotted them.

While James and Eliza were off, Joey stayed behind. Noticing the scene outside, he figured that this would be the perfect time to escape. Though, he wasn't sure exactly where to go. The lady was chasing down his friends, but he couldn't rush in and be a hero. He also considered the other direction, but she'd just go back down that way when she was finished. Well, he though, it's worth a shot...

Joey snuck out of the room, trying to be just as quiet as the two of them were earlier, then picked up speed and ran down the opposite end of the corridor. Maybe I can draw her attention away from them, at least.

Thaddeus, seeing the rampant chaos all around, suspected that the interference of the force that had summoned forth the demons was slowly getting out of hand. He knew that his own powers would be much stronger in the heat of battle, with so much chaos being generated all around him, but he also had a very strong suspicion as to what the enemy's goal was in coming to the funeral. The demons were mostly ignoring him, having found either easier prey elsewhere or having become tied up in combat with a foe that could handle them. As such, he simply advanced towards the fallen man who had just moments ago been prepared to read the Eulogy from the scroll which he had held. The brown and white clothed man had now reached the steps of the monument, taking notice of the silver streams and deftly stepping over them as he ascended the short height.

He now stood over the corpse of the speaker, looking down at the body which still held the scroll in its hands. Carefully reaching down with his right hand, he took hold of the edge of the paper and rolled it up with both of his hands. Coming once more to stand fully erect, he slid the scroll into one of the large pockets on the inside of his white coat before closing it about his chest and fastening it shut. He now turned his gaze across the whole of the scene and noticed that some of the creatures were making their way to the student dormitories. Without another thought he took off towards them, getting the feeling that he was going to find a foe of particular talent therein or run into one along the way.

His feet fell lightly upon the ground as he went, and he paid no attention as one of Lavi's lion spirits gored one of the many demons that were rushing about. He kept his white crystal staff and his senses ready as he went, dodging around combat as he saw it or deftly striking down a demon unlucky enough to find itself in his path with a blow from his stave. It wasn't long before he had come to the doorway of the dormitory building and was rushing inside, drawing on the eminent chaos which had so suddenly arrived outside to strengthen his abilities. The runes upon his gauntlet were aglow in red and the upper portion of his stave was putting off a faint blue and green glow which was centered around the talisman which hung from it. He went on through the building, steadily nearing the location of the two young students and the Succubus intent on harming them.

"Eliza," James breathed steadily, "there's something else here." James's magical abilities consisted of him sensing the presence of any living creature and it's general power, just not able to give it a form to know if it's an ally or not. "Just keep running, maybe we can pass it."

She looked at him, her eyes wide with fear and curiosity at his plan. "If you think it'll work, it's all we can do." The two of them kept their distance, both staying near a certain edge of the wall. Eliza closed her eyes tightly for a moment. "Okay, when we get to whatever's waiting for us-"

"It's not 'waiting for us'," James cut her off, "it's coming this way." He nodded ahead of them. "And we should be coming up on it now." As if on cue, they spotted Thaddeus.

"James! Is that really Thaddeus!?" Eliza lit up with hope that she would live to die another day, until James spoke up again.

"I'm not sure, it could be a demon in disguise.." By this time, they'd both slowed to a jog. "Keep running!"

Eliza and him shared a glance to signify their plan, then she raised the ground beneath them again. The two jumped forward, gaining a little height to give them more momentum. With that, they ran on past the assistant and finally out to freedom. Well, closer to freedom, yet maybe closer to death as well.

As the ground was raised slightly, Thaddeus was mid-step and caught only slightly off balance as the floor rushed up to meet his foot. He was steady on his feet again, turning his head to glare his irritation at the students before returning his attention to what he was doing. His gaze now fell upon the woman who had been chasing them and he knew almost immediately that she was a succubus. While chaos in and of itself bore no inerrant good or evil alignment, like other magics, it was relatively close to other arts which were commonly used to bring out evil beings and his affinity for chaos made him sensitive to these creatures. She might not know it, but her presence and nature alone would strengthen him a bit. What brought him much more strength was the chaos which had been rampantly sewn about the building through all of the deaths and now angry and confused spirits there.

"Well, it seems that whoever caused all of this is a skillful Demonologist." He stated flatly, the usual scowl still upon his face as he beheld the woman before him. Despite his knowledge that she was a demonic abomination which had no place in this realm, he found her rather lovely in physical appearance. "Might I ask your name before our encounter leads to combat, Madame?"

Tamane blinked for a second as she saw the two children running away from her, though she only got a grin on her face. Giggling lightly to herself she leaned forward, allowing her bat wings to spread out wide and send her forward with a massive push. Thrusting her hands out each fingernail began gouging a large crevasse into the walls as she chased after them in delight. She could easily overtake them, cut them down, and end it with time to spare. But where was the fun in that? She wanted to have fun. She wanted to hunt her prey down as a kind of sport.

"You can't get away from me my dear," she taunted as she kept pace behind them, "I can follow you no matter where you flee too!"
Addi grinned, her fangs showing as she did, when Lavi stood back up and brushed himself off; he seemed uninjured but experience told her that he at least had a few broken ribs. Crouching back into position as his gauntlets began glowing and then shot out electricity towards her. Leaping high into the air she spun horizontally and landed behind him, tripping him and then somersaulting onto his chest; leaning forward so that her hair covered both of their faces, mere inches apart. Tapping his nose she purred, "Come on play a bit more ny~an . . ."

Twisting her heels into him she leaped back and landed before bounding off into the battlefield, stopping and allowing her tail to motion him to give chase.
Tamane had been chasing the two students when they stopped, another one entering and looking at her. He requested her name, but all she did was as she ran leaped up and kneed him in the face before flying over him and landing with a skid; her wings opening to make her stop quicker. Turning around she stood up, her chest swaying as she did, and put a hand on her hip before smiling at them, "I'm back, lets pl~ay."

ooc: By "them", I'm assuming that you didn't let my two characters get outside like I wrote. Which means that I'm not completely left out lol

Eliza and James scampered to a halt, not daring to go near her. They slowly backed away, back towards what could either be their friend that they've known since starting their classes, or another demon. Trusting neither of the two options, they both fell to the floor, shaking and crying uncontrollably. Fear, worry, and hopeless had bested them.

"If you're going to kill us, just do it!" Eliza screeched. She hated the way this woman was toying with them. She hated the feeling. She hated this woman with a fierce passion. She thought aloud again, "only someone as ugly as you..."

"Aren't you the energetic one," Lavi said with a slight smile as the girl ran off. Six motes of gold moved with her. "It doesn't matter anyway, the gateposts are set." He leapt to his feet with little effort, and without much rush either. He gave her a pitying look. "You ma have recognized me as a Gatekeeper, but you lack knowledge of Leo. Many lions throughout history and legend have made their home in the fifth house. Think about that went you start seeing stars. Open the gate."

His markings pulsed as his spell magic, passive until now, activated. Nothing seemed to happen though, all he did was start to walk slowly towards her. Then vanished without warning or fanfare, like a star winking out. Only to reappear right beside her, his heel connecting too her skull in a Muay Thai roundhouse kick a second later; lifting her off the ground and hurling her several feet back. "Tell me kitten, have you ever heard of the Nemean lion?"

Tamane hissed when she heard the girl call her 'ugly' and raised her hand to attack the child, forgetting completely about the other man who had challenged her.
Landing with a roll Addi stood back up and purred, licking the blood leaking from her forehead with a smile. Standing up she licked her paw and rubbed it over her ear while only half listening to the arrogant boy boasting about "his house". When he mentioned the Nemean Lion her ears perked up and her tail lowered to a swaying motion, "Yes I have ny~an."

"A lion who's coat could not be penetrated by any weapons . . . but," she seemed to flicker out of sight before reappearing beside him, her soft paws caressing his cheek as she purred even louder, "Do no think you are the only one who hails from the House of Leo young blood."

Through the tears welled in her eyes and over the stabbing of her heart inside her chest, Eliza held onto something. She grasped a memory from deep within her childhood. Her mother was preparing dinner, showing off the ingredients. Most were average; then her 'secret ingredient' was spread over the lasagna like any ol' topping. Holly Pepper. The memory, along with her spirit, faded. What was the point of that? Then her memory skipped to the day after, when everyone, except her mother, who had not eaten last night, was bed-ridden and terribly ill. Her mother...

Now Eliza understood her childhood a little better. All the special meals, all the 'family recipes'; her own mother had attempted to poison the family on several occasions, but using just under what would be needed to do so. Missy wanted her children and husband to suffer. Why would a memory and information like this suddenly come to her, in her moment of death?

In that instant, Eliza's mind cleared completely. Truth had been revealed to her at last. Her mother was greedy; she wanted nothing short of everything, and her family kept her tied down from that. Eliza had quit crying, quit quivering in fear; instead she sat there, her back to her friend, seemingly paralyzed. She couldn't talk, couldn't feel, couldn't smell, couldn't move; her heart itself had almost quit beating.

Then, in a fit of blind rage directed towards her mother, her senses returned and she pounced towards the woman near her; she made use of every blind spot she could find, mindlessly attacking the soul-sucking vulture.

Surprised, to say the least, that the little girl who had been shaking and crying moments before suddenly whip around and attack her left Tamane quite open. The first few punches landed clean on her stomach and forced her back, even going to far as to drop her to a knee. Coughing the succubus looked up in time to see the same child pressing the attack and rolled to the wall in time to avoid it. She didn't know where the girl was getting the courage to fight back but it had raised a problem. She wanted to play, not outright have a fight, so it was no longer "fun" to her. Hissing she actually climbed it so she was hanging from the roof and out of rang, "You little b*tch you'll pay for those attacks!"

Not even noticing that her target was missing until the voice sounded from above, she glanced toward the ceiling. Though stunned by the appearance of this creature dangling over her, she was able to address the matter with a quick fix. "I hate spiders.." She gritted her teeth and took a half step forward, lounging away just enough, then rose the ground high and delivered a clean kick straight above.

James watched his young friend; the girl who he'd known since her arrival; the girl who helped solve all his problems, he watched her now, focused and intent on killing this strange thing that just seemed to appear from Hell. He watched her take up courage and attempt to lay waste to it. Seeing such a feat of nobility unfold before him, James grabbed the sharpest piece of wood, from the shattered doors, near him, and spiraled it into the thigh of this Hell Angel, as he called it. The name was plenty appropriate.

Akira was woken up with something wet all across his face. he opened his eyes, he realized he couldn't. He tried to breath, some water went inside his nose. he sat up to realize that the strange Goat-man from before was holding a hose that was spraying water all across him,. "What are you doing ?" screamed Akira seething in anger. "I was just trying to awaken you young master" said the goat man in an apologetic voice "it isn't very honorable for a young man to be knocked out while some of their own people were fighting for their lives"
"what ? where is Levi, Professor Levi ? he was fighting with a bunch of these shadows; wasn't it ? what happened to him ?" the goat man said,

"Young master, the Lion mage is surely all fine, after all these shadows are no match for some one of his capability" he paused for a moment "But i do think we should rush in-side there were screams coming, and there were surely students in the school"

"What happened on the inside ? and why are you here, you could have gone yourself and fought them off, right ? lets not waste any more time; let's go" it was more of a command than a conversation.
Akira was up in a flash and was off running inside. The Jigoku beast was amazed at the speed at which Akira-kun could run. He grinned to himself, "Surely must have been the skill developed off years of running away from the bullies". Jigoku Hitsuji, the noble warrior of the house of Capricorn, followed his young master inside as well.

Damn, Lavi cursed to himself. This girl was proving to be quite the obstacle. On one hand, the demons were a threat to the students and the general population. On the other hand, if he risked leaving her to tackle the problem of the other demons, he risked letting her, a much stronger opponent, have her way with anyone she pleased. And to make it worse, his couldn't keep this up indefinitely, not while holding the gates of four summons open. Every time one of the demons managed to beat one, it took a bit more power to hold the gates long enough to allow the spirits to reform. And with the gateposts still not ready.

He whirled, causing a wave of his fire to separate them, using both the recoil of the flames and the momentum of his spin to put some distance between them. Could she be a Leo as well? It was possible. One thing he knew for sure was that his records were far from complete. And often inaccurate. Though he knew most of the family's died out, their blood and tradition thinned throughout the centuries, it would be easy for older branches to have been lost from his family's point of view. And, she didn't seem fully human either, another factor.

Facts before speculation. She was too powerful for him to face while held back, and then some. He spared a glance around. Most of the demons in the immediate area were gone. The teachers and mage residents were slowly taking care of the rest. Above him, the cloud cover was building, a sure sign that Jaman was working. And Thaddeus was heading to the dorm. He waved his hand, four gold rings forming in it's wake. He swiped them and they vanished with a snap. "Close the gates of the Pride. I'll have to give this one my full attention." He nodded a bit in the girls direction. "I suppose next you'll be telling me your my ancestor or distant relative. Something along those lines, hm?"

The succubus merely laughed at the insult. "Spider? Really this b*tch could come up with something better," she mused before dodging a kick by dropping to the floor. Giggling she stood back up but gasped in pain when the boy, having witnessed his friend's courage, managed to grow his own backbone and assault her with a shard of wood. The stake pierced deep into her leg and knocked her down as the blood oozed out of the wound. Hissing loudly she glared up at him, her irises narrowing into slits, and stood back up.

"Play time is over kiddies," raising both arms up, her hands spread open wide, her wings stretched as far as they could while her eyes never wandered for a second. A pulse shook the hallway while a third eye formed on Tamane's forehead, blood trickling down the middle of her face as the skin cut open to reveal it; not only did an eye appear on her forehead but also on her hands and wings as well. With the eyes formed the room seemed to be moving and swaying, convulsing in a manic style that would cause anyone to grow nauseous.

Addi bent over backwards to avoid the fire scorching her fur, but had to eventually put distance between them to avoid the heat of it. Crouching like a panther ready to pounce on her prey she walked slowly around Levi as he stared back at her, the tension building as their eyes remained locked on each other. Her purrs seemed to be louder than any other noise Levi could hear. It was truly disturbing that even with the bloodshed occurring all around them she was enjoying herself like this.

"I suppose next you'll be telling me your my ancestor or distant relative. Something along those lines, hm?"

"If I was all I could say is I'm very disappointed in how far the House of Leo has fallen ny~an," she mocked back with a smile, charming yet behind it real undeniable anger. Standing up a low growl, much like that of a Cougar, escaped her lips before she suddenly stopped and looked skyward. She stood there, frozen for a minute, before calling out to someone who wasn't there, "But Master I am in the middle of- Yes . . . Yes sir I will- Understood. ny~an"

"Looks like you're going to live to see another day little cub ny~an," Addi, seemingly in an unbelievably darring act, quickly bounded over the rubble and stood right in front of Levi with her ears twitching. Pecking his cheek she thanked him for keeping her entertained before vanishing into thin air. She hadn't used her speed to run away. No. She had disappeared much too quickly for that. It had to be some kind of teleportation magick; ancient rune magic only the highest of mages could produce, much more from a distance so vast.

"No Mistress let me finish them first!" Tamane begged her leader as the room kept spinning around them. Cursing under her breath she knew she couldn't deny the Mistress she'd pledged her life too and would do as told. Her orders were to leave the children alone and report back to her, but that left plenty of "wiggle room" for the succubus to work with. Her wings folding back in and the extra eyes vanishing it would take the two of them a while to recover, more than enough for her to work with.

"Sorry doll," Tamane stated, more to James than Eliza, and walked over to him. Lifting his chin up her eyes shinned at his and she whispered a command to him, using her succubus powers to implant it into his subconscious mind. Dropping him she vanished as Addi had done.

"I was really having fun you know!" Tamane crossed her arms and pouted, very childishly, while refusing to look her Mistress in the eye. Addi merely squatted in front of his legs and licked her paws to groom herself of the dirt before flicking her eyes back up at her partner, "As was I but Master's orders are complete."

"Couldn't she wait just a bit longer until I killed those two brats?"

"Tamane Tamane Tamane," a males voice repeated through a small chuckle, the armored man eying her body and stopping at the bleeding leg, "I'd wager if things had kept going those 'brats' as you called them would've been the result of you missing a leg."

"Rath sh-

"Enough." the cloaked figure said and silenced everyone at once, all refusing to look in his direction. Letting out a soft sigh she turned her head, the cloak flowing and keeping the facial features hidden, "Slime report what you've learned."

"Yes of course," the disembodied voice replied as a blue ooze formed into the body of a young girl, droplets dripping from her form as she began, "As you ordered I was to observe the scroll. A Magical teacher has obtained it and still has it in his possession. That is all."

"Very well," turning to face the nearly destroyed Campus City the figure let out a grin and then finished, "Magic has been revealed to the entire city here today thanks to us, though we have lost the scroll it does not matter. Our plans still may move forward without it. The incantation I used to summon this horde of demons will cease within the hour and they will think they've been victorious.

We know better . . . this has only just begun."
