The light, eventually dubbed "The Flash", appeared on a lovely spring afternoon in New Domino City, with the sakura petals covering the pathways in the parks and the flowers filling the air with pollen (a nuisance at best) and lovely fragrances (a blessing at worst). At first, it seemed like the May sun had just gone out for several seconds, until the bright light shone down with the intensity of a hundred suns. Curiously, though, not a single person was blinded or suffered any eye injuries, but a rash of throbbing headaches started to spread across New Domino City and Satellite after The Flash.
Afterwards, strange reports came in of increased suicides and insanity pleas from seemingly normal people who had allegedly gone crazy on account of some mysterious illness that had caused them to hallucinate. According to later psychological studies, these citizens had two sets of memories, one which was the one that was on record, and fit with everything that could be found in databases regarding them, but they also claimed to have another set of memories of another universe where concepts such as the Duel Monsters card game, the principle of Ener-D, or even the city of New Domino didn't exist, and they lived out another life, until they were consumed by a bright light, the same light from before, at which point the two sets converge into one.
Curiously, these investigations started due to an series of events that occurred after the light. This chain of events involved several duelists, all of which had been in the area affected by The Flash, 17 km within the center of New Domino City, when The Flash went off. However, in order to observe these occurrences, what happened to these people during and immediately after The Flash must be observed first, for it is believed that the cause of The Flash lies among these select few...

Tenri walked from the shopping centre, carrying bags mostly containing food, but also a few clothes she needed. It wasn't apparent, but she also had a pair of new cards in her pocket, although she didn't play very often - she wasn't at all outgoing, so didn't have many friends. Diana would challenge others, on occasion, but Diana was apparently a bad thing, and she had to be more confident. Being distracted, she didn't notice the building light until she walked past the ground floor of a mirrored office building, which intensified the light and initiated a powerful headache. Dropping the bags, she grabbed her head, clutching it until the light, and the pain, faded.

She bent down to pick up the bags, however her reflection, which now seemed to have a halo, didn't move - as if what was seen in the mirror was in fact another person.

"Tenri?" the reflection asked, causing the girl's head to snap towards the glass.

Kai glanced out the window of his apartment room. It was 3 stories up, with three rooms. The first room was his bedroom, with his bed of course, along with a writing desk and a dresser. The second room was more of a living room, with a cable television and a couch. The third room was the kitchen, where a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dining table, and other cupboards rested. Kai was sitting at the writing desk in his bedroom, shuffling through his deck, checking for inconsistencies. So far, there hadn't been a single flaw. "Perfect, just like always..." he muttered, looking back from the window.
Within a moment of him closing his mouth, an intense light began to flood into his room through the window. He covered his eyes, quickly rushing over to the window. He looked head-on into the light, and was struck with a terrible headache. Seconds later, he collapsed.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kai stood at one end of a large field. A spotlight shone down on him, and on someone at the other end of the field. On front of him lay a strange table. There was a deck of cards, though not the same kind of Duel Monsters cards he was used to. These were labelled "Vangaurd". Kai reached out at pulled a card from the deck, glancing at it. On the rest of the strange table was a short stack of cards, about seven to the pile. One of them appeared to be a rather large dragon, with a small number 2 in the top left corner. In his hand was a larger dragon, with instead a number 3. Kai's mind was in confusion, but his body was moving on its own. He threw the card onto the stack, shouting "Stand up, my avatar! Vortex Dragon!" A circle around the stack ugliest a deep blue color, and in the middle of the large field, the dragon depicted in the card riser up from the ground. "Soul Blast! Hell's Fury!" He continued shouting, the dragon firing off an imense flame. Kai snapped his eyes shut, wishing for this dream to be over.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kai opened his eyes, back in his room. He got up, feeling something he hadn't felt in years: Fear. He was breathing heavily. "What... Just what was that? A dream... No, that felt more real... Like a memory. But... A memory that wasn't mine..." he thought. Kai remained standing there, lost in thought, for several minutes longer.

Mami sat down at a bench in the park just opposite of a small pond holding her lunch on one hand and breaking off small pieces of break to toss at the collection of ducks around the pond with the other. She smiled warmly as she watched the birds happily gobble up the bread before hopping back into the pond to swim about and occasionally duck their head underneath. She felt a feeling of calm and contempt come over her as she began to relax, enjoying the moment and just generally reflecting on how good life could be sometimes.

She leaned back on the bench, tilting her head up to watch the clouds move slowly across the sky. It was then that she saw the sky brighten suddenly before a brilliant flash blinded her for a brief second, causing her to sit up in shock. The ducks flew about madly for a moment before settling down, Mami herself still in shock from the sudden light, her good mood gone in an instance. Her free hand found its way to her neck and stroked across it as if to certify to her head was still attached. Still trying to calm herself down Mami got to her feet and began to walk along the path, her lunch ignored for the moment as a strange feeling crept over her. Mami had no idea why but she could swear she had just had her head bitten off.

Richie McCaw was walking towards a bar in New Domino City... the same one he's always gone to since he's been relocated in this universe. He noticed a strange girl in purple clothing across the street from him, but paid little attention to her. All of a sudden, that Flash came out of nowhere, causing the both of them to recoil similarly to a recoil of pain. Richie was the first of the two persons to recover, only to notice that none of the remaining populace seemed to be affected. He returned his attention to the girl, who had a hard time recovering from such a blinding light as what she had seen.

"You got hit by that light too, aye?" he asked.

The girl only nodded in response, unsure if she was even able to speak. She opened her eyes for the first time, only to see that, rather than Richie, she seemed to have a vision of another man for a few seconds, before she came to her senses again.

"Who... who are you?" she asked hesitantly, "What's...?"

"My name?" Richie intervened, unaware the girl was about to say something again after a few seconds, "My name's Richie McCaw, and well... apparently I'm both a pilot and rugby player at the same time. That's what I remember at least."

"You must be one of the lucky ones..." the girl sighed, "Here you are, telling me you have two professions and I... I can't even remember anything outside my own name. I mean... sorry, got a little carried away. If you must know my name... it's Jenova."

"Aye?" Richie could've sworn he never heard of such a name. However, it didn't sound like this girl, who suddenly introduced herself as Jenova, wanted to repeat that last word any time soon.

"Sounds like you're unfamiliar with me. That's... actually good to know," All of a sudden, Jenova left the scene in a sorrowful state, feeling guilty of lying about her past. She didn't know why, but she felt so ashamed of her past life.

"Hmm." Itachi muttered. "What a beautiful sight from the top of this building." He stood on top of a large building, along with a classmate of his, looking down, completely unafraid.

"Then I bet you want to look closer!" His classmate said, and without warning pushed him off the building, surprising him, and sending him plummeting to his death.

Itachi guessed it was in frustration and revenge, which saddened him a bit. But then halfway down, the Flash came. His eyes suddenly felt different and time seemed to slow down a bit, and before he knew it he had landed safely on the ground, but then he started to have a throbbing headache, causing him to kneel down and try to concentrate. He opened his eyes and suddenly found that everything looked different, he could see through objects, and when he looked up saw his astounded friend, former friend, with strange red patterns around his body, the flow of blood, from a large way up. He closed his eyes and opened them again, and the strange vision disappeared. He stood up, but then in horror went back down as he recalled a massacre - that couldn't possibly be him killing them all. . . . .

Once again he stood up, and for the moment ignored his memories, as looking into them would not be a wise thing to do, especially in public. Nobody but his friend, however, seemed to notice that he had survived falling down a large building. He decided to walk on forward and see if there were others that were affected by the same Flash as he.

Itachi was indeed correct, as in a nearby park, Reina Soho, the Director of the Alternative Applications Department at the Reactor Research Division of KaibaCorp, was one of several people on the ground, suffering from a massive headache as their minds coped with sorting out the memories in their heads into two sets. Reina saw two childhoods, one in a loving family from Hokkaido, and the other among other girls who, like her, grew up rather quickly. Part of her remembers her father, the head of an oil rig team, leaving for the last time on her 12th birthday, never to return due to a freak derrick fire destroying his rig, while the other remembers a man giving her an odd gauntlet that transformed her into an eerily similar form as the one she had. She remembers her teenage years, both versions of her studying for college, but one researched energy while the other looked into something called the "Witchblade". Her other self met a man named Reiji Takayama, while she was accepted into the R.R.D. and became a pioneer in the world of Ener-D. She never had kids, but this other Reina did, a young daughter named "Rihoko", who Reina never truly knew. Finally, Reina remembers having a second daughter, Maria, who eventually...no...it couldn't be true...
Reina wept as she discovered that, in one set of memories, she was dead.

Aisha blinked for a second as she stared up at the sky. The recent flash had more or less knocked her out as she was headed towards a nearby restaurant. Her stomach was empty, and she had every intention to fill it. However, that was before the flash had knocked her back. She sat up slowly, flashes of memories scurrying past her eyes. But, were they her memories? They couldn't be. These were memories of a ship, not a normal ship either. This was a star-ship. More so something called a Grappler Ship. She shook her head and more or less groaned as the flashes dispersed. It was a moment or two before she looked around, scratching the back of her head before her thoughts were disrupted by the sound of her stomach letting out another growl. "Oi, now to get some food."

Kai snapped out of his thoughtful trance, coming to a bit of a realization. "If that light was real, then someone else must have seen it. There's no way that a light that intense could have gone unnoticed by so many people... And where did it come from anyways?" Kai said to himself. He packed his deck and duel disk into his backpack, and rushed out the door of his appartment building. He walked down the sidewalk, looking for signs of distress, confusion, any sort of sign that something was wrong with another person. "Someone has to know what in the world happened..." Kai thought aloud, as he continued walking.

As Richie continued onwards toward the bar, Jenova walked down the opposite direction, and eventually came across a nearby park, only to stop and think about the vision that she mistook Richie for. It was of a lilac-suited man with golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes, who wielded a gargantuan sword in one hand, but rested on his back. Somehow, Jenova remembered that man instantly and that image could've been stuck in her head for millennia for all she knew.

'Cloud?' she asked herself in thought, 'I mistook that... McCaw person for Cloud Strife? That's... inconceivable!'

She looked around frantically, hoping that the vision of the strange man in the lilac suit wouldn't show up again, only to notice something amiss about her reflection. It was gone, but in its place was something much more horrifying than a mere lilac-suited man. This image looked similar to what Jenova actually looked like to the mortal eye so far, and mirrored her expression and movements much like a standard reflection would. However, the image looked to be twice her normal size, had icy blue skin, blood red eyes and a multitude of mysterious markings on her skin, and appeared completely unclothed. A pair of badly decomposed wings had somewhat replaced her arms, which would've been hacked off at a point were they'd be the same size as if they were amputated instead, and hollowed out. Strange worm-like appendage appeared to have burst their way out of her stomach. There was no way one wouldn't find this image repulsive, but after a while and against what she'd think would be her better judgement, Jenova started to see this monstrosity as a part of her true self.

"You see... I'm no beauty queen," As she said this, Jenova noted that that time, her voice had become more brooding and demonic that normal, to her disbelief, "Grr, my... are my thoughts... doing this to my voice? What's happening to me?!"

Takanuva, also known to his friends as "Takua", had been riding to his new home from the airport on his Duel Runner. His gold-and-white colours were enough to blind people if the sun shone on him from the right angle. He looked at the surrounding buildings, all a blur because of the speed he was travelling at. He smiled and took in a deep breath, laughing.
"Smell this air...! New country, new city, new home! I can't wait to--" but he was cut off in mid-speech when the Flash occurred. He found his mind taken over by mysterious thoughts of himself from another world. Everything seemed to flash through his mind like a montage; first, he was about the size of a child, going by his nickname "Takua". Next, he was travelling around an island, being chased by snake-like creatures after a strange golden mask he and his friend held. Then, he placed the mask and transformed into a gold and white being called Takanuva. From that point he helped his 'brothers' - six different biomechanicle beings like him - to acheive their destinies of re-discovering a lost island and defeating a gargantuan creature called the Makuta.

Takanuva saw more memories flash through his mind, however he was snapped out of it upon the sound of a large lorry beeping its deep horn at him. Able to see again, he swerved as best he could to avoid colliding with it, only to cause him to crash into the wall of a nearby Cafe. He lay at a disturbing angle on the ground amongst debris and his damaged Duel Runner, his Deck having fallen out of his disk and now laying everywhere. His vision began to blur before he fell unconscious, now re-living the strange new memories...

"Hey Tsuna!" cries an adolescent voice. "Huh... oh it's just you" replies a timid 16 year old boy with spikey brown hair and wearing an orange zipped-up jumpsuit. "What do you mean it's just me?! Hey, your mum said you were talking in your sleep again... You were, having another nightmare; weren't you?" says Tsuna's friend with a look of concern and worry. "The same nightmare over and over, what is it telling me? I'm sick of talking and thinking about it, lets go visit the mall" speaks Tsuna calmly. Tsuna plugs in his earphones and heads out the front door and into the suburban streets of New Domino City.

After about eleven minutes of walking, they reach a dull, empty alleyway. Then suddenly! a bright flash of light shrouds the skies, streets and suburbs. In the midst of this light, Tsuna's ring omits a bright but dimer light to the one from the sky.

Tsuna clutches his head and blocks his ears as a sharp ringing sound impales his nervous system and 'causing him to collapse. At that moment he sees a vision, no, a memory of an unfamiliar past.

A gun is seen, pointed towards a stranger of an acquaintance. The trigger is pulled and the bullet is fired, into the heart of this mysterious grey-haired boy. Blood is splattered all over the walls. The gun slowly ascends and points at Tsuna looking down the barrel of this gun, the trigger is pulled yet again. Bang!

The flash has dissipated and what is left are victims lying on the ground, bewildered as to what exactly is going on.
Tsuna woke to a throbbing headache and partial deafness, his ring still glowing. "Oh my god, why does my head hurt so much" ponders Tsuna with one hand on his head, then sudden realization that what he saw was his recurring nightmare. "Huh! Wait a minute!" says Tsuna as he looks around with desperation. Tsuna's friend has disappeared along with the light.

Tenri was still distracted by the memories that suddenly appeared - or rather, suddenly seemed to have always been there, despite the fact that she'd never had them before. Most of it was similar to her existing memories, although she seemed to recall some stunts that there was no way she could have done herself. There was something else though, deep in her memories, another version of an ill-fated journey into a cave she'd taken a decade ago.

It was still rather vague, and her own memories were filling in the blanks. She and Katsuragi went into the cave - even in these memories he was so strong and brave, especially for a child - and he lit the way with games consoles. It was after the rock knocked him unconscious that things differed. Before, after waiting, she'd gathered up the courage to pull the boy slowly from the cave. This time, however, some ghost-like entities drifted past them - until they noticed her, and some of them rushed at her. She was crouched over the boy, trying to protect him, when a female voice, seemingly ancient but sounding young, told her to leave.

To get Katsuragi out, she allowed the owner of the voice to enter her body, where she had remained ever since. Another person, who had looked out for her since then, and a name, a name that seemed to be much more of a positive thing for the other her.

"Tenri?" a voice called from the wall. Coming back around, she turned to see her reflection, seemingly much more self-confident, looking at her with confusion and worry. Seeing her 'alter-ego' looking out of a mirror at her, she panicked, scooped up the bags and backed down the street, watching the glass surface carefully.

Itachi noticed a little girl (Tenri), who was acting strangely. By now, he figured if anyone was affected by the Flash, they'd have recovered by now. She was panicking, but he caught up to her quickly without effort and grabbed her arm. "Little girl," He said, in a tone that meant no offense, no malice, releasing his grip as soon as she stopped.

"Had there been a light just now?" He asked her. He had to know if it was just a strange trick of the light, or something real. Again, strange memories occurred to him, memories where Duel Monsters did not exist, and instead. . . . ninjas? Like what he really knew, he had belonged to the Uchiha family, in those other memories a clan. He was extremely talented in the other set of memories too. A memory occurred to him, there was one who he had spared in his memories of the massacre, but he decided to delve and recall into that another time.

Kurohime, a professional duelist known as the "Witch of the Dragon Sword", had been on her way to meet an old friend, Takanuva, when the Flash hit, though she quickly pulled her Duel Runner over. However, she them started to remember an odd world where she had incredible magical powers, she loved a young gunslinger named "Zero", she never knew how to play Duel Monsters or a man named Takanuva, and she had never ridden or driven a Duel Runner. She clutched her head, trying to make sense of this, when she saw Takanuva crash. She ran to his side, and cried out "Someone please call an ambulance!!!"

(Tenri isn't 'little', she's practically an adult. She may look young but she'd not a child, just shy.)

Someone grabbed Tenri's arm, and she stopped. The person responsible was a dark-haired man, who was asking about the flash of light. With new memories - and maybe even another person - finding their way into her mind, the light hadn't been something she was focussing on.

"I think there was," she replied in a small voice, taking a step away from the man.

From the reflective surface of the window, Diana narrowed her eyes, glaring at the man, ready to step in if he tried anything. She couldn't remember much. The girl she was attached to was called Tenri, and she felt obliged to help the girl, but other than that her memories were a blur, apart from a long period which was entirely blank.

While Takanuva was unconscious on one side of New Domino, on the other, "Terry" Teridax was finding himself giving out a maniacal laugh as he envisioned memories of a world he had trouble believing, though in it he was far more powerful than a human. He saw himself as a controller of shadows, having brought down a giant spirit robot with a virus he'd created, and having been the leader of a brotherhood of creatures like him, called "Makuta". He needed to sit down in a nearby cafe while these memories flooded into his mind, but they were so outrageous he felt he could dismiss them as a film he may have watched when he was younger. Once he'd made a relatively quick recovery, he began going into some thought about the issue, since the majority of the memories felt too recent to have been from when he was a child. Some of his "minions" tried to give him as much space as they could by occupying nearby tables, causing annoyance to the waitresses who were turned away every time they tried to get them to order.

Teridax took out his Deck, which was filled with cards of DARK. As he viewed through all of them, his mind kept wondering back to the memories that stuck out most in his mind; his victim, ruling over other evil beings, and then...him. The memories seemed to have a very close resemblance to his life in New Domino, such as having taken down the one he had a brother-like relationship with - the victim of whom had a very similar name, too. He had corrupted many people who now served under him, much like this "brotherhood" he suddenly knew of, but the last part...The last part of his memories were blurry, and a being coloured white and gold seemed to show up near the end. What was that all about? He ordered a cup of black coffee and a Bacon Sandwich while he pondered further - not that it helped him work out if these new memories were genuine, he could only conclude that the odd flash of light he'd seen just before the memories flowed into his mind had appeared. Perhaps it was a hallucination. Perhaps after a day or two these bizarre images would disappear from his mind. Or perhaps, there could be the chance that the reverse is true, Teridax thought. If that were the case, then it could be possible that his name, which is bizarre in any language, could make sense.

When Teridax came back to his senses, he found himself staring at a cold bacon sandwich and a disgruntled waitress. He thanked her and gave her the payment for his bill before grabbing the sandiwch and leaving. To everyone in the cafe's relief, his 'lackeys' upped and left as well. As the group left the building, an ambulance rushed past.
"Heh," Teridax thought, a wicked smile on his face, "looks like someone might be seriously hurt...how wonderful." His sadistic moment aside, he and the group walked off, heading for a well-known duel spot.

At the scene of the crash, Takanuva began to slowly open his eyes. His vision was extremely blurry due to the sudden loss of blood, and pain was masking his other senses, but he recognised the voice of the girl by his side. He opened his mouth and tried to speak, but was only able to make slurred vowel sounds as he kept drifitng in and out of consciousness.

((I know. It's just Itachi's mistaken impression. He doesn't even consider that she's older than him.))

Itachi understood her uncertainty of him, and simply sighed. "Then I'll suppose that I was not the only one affected." He said. "Relax, I am not an enemy. I only wish to find out the reason of these memories. Are they just false memories injected into us by the light? Or are they . . . real?" For a moment, he paused, and once again for the third time recalled-, but didn't. "My name is Itachi Uchiha of the Uchiha family, the original inventor of the Yata-Garasu Lockdown. And you?"

Kurohime finally remembered, in her panicked state, she had her own cell phone, so she pulled it out and dialed. "Hello? Yes, I'm calling to report an accident here at the corner of 237th and Lateral...Yes, I saw The Flash, but so did a friend of mine, who is hurt rather badly...Yes, I do realize this is an emergency situation and that there are other people, but...Please! You have to help him or...Ugh! Fine!" She hung up the phone, carefully strapped Takanuva to her Duel Runner, and sped off to the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, Reina was getting up, still clutching her head and breathing heavily from the shock of the revelation that she was, in fact, dead. She looked around, and eventually saw a young girl, whom she went over to. "Excuse me, but do you need some help?"

"Tenri," she replied, but not elaborating further. After all, she wasn't anything special, and didn't feel like hanging around for a chat. "I don't know anything about what happened," she replied, "all I know is that I was here, and then I was here twice, I think."

"I may be able to help you start out," Diana spoke out from the mirror, causing Tenri to step backwards again. "I am on your side," she added to the girl who's reflection she was using, "or so I believe. I do not recall anything from before a few moments ago clearly, except for you, Tenri, however I am well aware my lifespan has been a long one. Your reaction, however, says that you don't know me." She looked back to the boy. "So, do you think I am a construct of the light?"

Mami finally stopped and leant against a tree slightly off the path, her head still throbbing as a wave of new and strange memories came flooding into her head. It took her a moment to realize as the visions bounced around in her head that she’d seen this somewhere before, the nightmares she’d had after the accident where practically identical to the memories she suddenly had but this time it seemed different; those had simply been dreams and had been brushed off as such, these seemed far more real and Mami couldn’t deny the feelings of familiarity within them. Her hand stroked her throat again as she contemplated what this meant. She jumped slightly when she heard someone speak to her and looked around, forcing a smile onto her face.

“Oh no, that’s alright,” she said simply “I guess I’m just not feeling too well.”

Her expression faltered somewhat as she looked at the woman who’d addressed her, a thought crossing her mind suddenly.

“You didn’t happen to see a bright flash of light just now, did you?” She asked.

Reina looked around at the various other people in the park who were leaving. "Indeed, I did. I presume everyone did, though I have a similar set of questions for you. However, I was wondering if you needed a ride back to your place of residence. My car is parked close by, and I could give you a lift." Reina also wanted to discuss the current events with this girl, because she, like herself, seemed to be looking through memories that were of her, but of a different her. Of everyone else in the park, Reina had observed that only this girl was in this kind of shock, like she was.

Itachi was surprised to see the reflection of the girl speaking, as if it were a separate entity, but disregarded it. "I wouldn't know that." He said. "Perhaps you are, or perhaps you've been dormant all along, and the light has just awakened you - or given you a mind of your own." He looked around to see if there were any others, but at this point in time, it was hard to tell, as most if not all have probably already recovered from their headaches.

"Even so, we need allies, and find out about these second set of memories." He continued, before pausing. "Tenri, was it? Be more confident in yourself. There is nothing to be gained in being nervous of your surroundings."

-------

Haqua had been studying in a cafe when the Flash came. For a moment, she was blinded, and then nearly tipped over her glass of orange juice, but managed to catch it before it spilled. She had a throbbing headache all of a sudden, and found it hard to concentrate on her studies. She closed her notebook, and took a sip from her orange juice. She closed her eyes for a moment, and she began to recall a different set of memories, one that took place in a place called 'New Hell', and instead of a Duel Disk, she was awarded a Scythe, and she was over three hundred years old. . . . but there was similarities too, such as her superiority and status as Number One.

But wait - what's this? She joins something called the Runaway Spirit Squad, and although she becomes a captain, she ends up low on that list, not even close to Number One. And then there's this guy, this disgusting cockroach called Keima Katsuragi - somebody who she knew in her true set of memories - who she holds feelings for?!

She had met Katsuragi before, his family owns a cafe which she likes to visit often. The cafe she was in now, though, was different. All he did was play video games whenever she saw him, how did she ever come to like him? But through these second set of memories, she realized she liked him even if the second set had never appeared.

She stood up, finishing her orange juice, put her books back into a bag she held, and left the cafe. The throbbing headache had disappeared, she was too focused on her memories that she ignored it. She remembered that she had forgotten to pay the cafe for the orange juice, but now she was too far. Oh well. She continued on walking, and it never occurred to her to analyze the meaning of her second set of memories further. She had just given it her opinion.

Mami silently breathed a sigh of relief when the woman told her that she’d seen a flash as well and did also seem to be unnerved by it. Though looking around it seemed that she was the only other one who was, from what Mami could see most of the other people in the park at the time didn’t seem as visibly shaken as she was, sure they were all reacting with similar surprise but seemed more confused than anything else. Mami looked back over at the woman, a curious frown crossing her face as the woman offered her a lift home. Mami considered the offer for a moment, naturally reluctant about taking a ride with a stranger, however she did seem to have a similar reaction to her towards the sudden flash of light and Mami got the feeling that they were the only ones in the park that did, so perhaps they had some kind of connection? Did this woman perhaps have similar memories of fighting monsters with magical powers?

Only one way to find out, Mami thought

“Thankyou, that would be most welcome,” she said politely “My name is Mami, by the way. Mami Tomoe”

She gave a short but polite bow upon introducing herself, still smiling warmly.

Reina smiled and bowed back. "Well, what are you waiting for?" She asked kindly. "Your parents must be worried about you, so the sooner you arrive at home, the better."

Kurohime pulled into the hospital's emergency entrance and unbuckled Takanuva, carrying him in.
"Excuse me, ma'am, but is he alright?" The nurse at the counter asked.
"No, he isn't alright! He needs medical attention now!!!" Kurohime snapped.
The nurse gulped, then called for a team and a stretcher. She then handed Kurohime a form to fill out at the waiting area, which she did, though crying a bit on account of various reasons, the foremost being <Why did this happen to me?>
