I was planning on writing some Duel Terminal story, but it would just be a later story arc anyway.

From what I've read, the Ritua, Laval, Gusto, Gem Knights, and Vylons teamed up to fight the Inverz. After the defeat of the Inverz, the Vylon turned on the other archetypes. Now were do the Inzecters and the Sacreds fit in with the story?
Inzecters aren't DT. I assume you mean Verz, which are Inverz Cell infecting other DT archetypes. Sacreds I'm not sure about, but they seem to be a lot like Vylons.

I also want to write a DT story, but I'm busy with the story I have.

That's my gist of it, having never used a DT in my life.

Now the Verz have come back in a stronger form, and The Sacred have come in to replace Vairon and help the other four I think.

Inzecters was confusion on Aggro's part.

All of these and more should appear in my next fic, which is why I raised the subject.

Inzecters resemble the Inverz

Top of second page. nbd. Anyways, sorry for forgetting about this place. ;3;

Now that's out of the way, I strongly encourage people to enter the Halloween contest. It's a test of your writing abilities to fit as much into as little, and there's no drawbacks, ne? (Plus, we need more entries.)
I'm not all that big a fan of the horror genre, but I guess I can try to come up with something.

Unofficially accepted and welcome (Star has to be the one to officially accept you, but there's no reason why he wouldn't).

Sorry for being so inactive on the club XD

Kyubey's contest looks so good. If only I had the time :P

However, I did find time to do the third chapter of my fan fiction. AFTER 2 DAMN MONTHS GODDAMNIT. http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/252831-yu-gi-oh-lustrous-spirits-pg-13/ Took me ages to find motivation to do it, but it was good. Would have got it done earlier, if my laptop didn't crash when I was writing it ._.

Kinda clichéd, but looks pretty cool. Welcomes to the club, unofficially.

I'm awful at sticking within writing limits <_<
I came up with a great idea, but I doubt I'll fit it in 1000 words. I guess I'll write it and find out.

Just wanted to let everyone know I went through and updated the thread, adding new members (and their stories) to the first post, as well as a new logo for the Club, that at least looks somewhat better than the original. If I missed anyone, just let me know and I'll be sure to add you.

Took a look at Kyu's Halloween contest, not sure if I myself can enter, but definitely encouraging anyone else who hasn't to give it a try; I think it'll be a good way to build the Fan Fiction community and at least try and make the forum more active.

Personally, I have a lot of work to do on my own Fan Fiction, plus school, work, etc., so I don't really have the time for side stories right now.

Prefered Writers Guild but no worries.

You missed Dr.Cakey and Icemare Moon from ages ago, but dunno if they still post here at all.

Two or three people have said they are in the process of writing for the Halloween do, which sounds good. Do want to actually read some of these stories though.

Personally have got most of Arc 1 of my next fic mapped out and starting on Arc 2 later. Might read some Hidden Legacy first.

Ah right...

Okay people, I am harping on once again about my next fanfic, but more because I need genuine advice this tiem.

As you might remember me saying due to the nature of the story I have to make sure its all fairly well planned out in advance, with the main focus of each chapter and what each character is doing over the course of an arc put in place before I start writing, which given how heavy work will be from December onwards and how I'm still waiting on more Numbers (and other generic Xyz's; a non-archtype related Rank 4 ideally Spellcaster would be good right about now Konami) I didn't really want to start writing yet. The script for Arc One, or at least the most of it, is nearly done.

However, I am struggling with Arc Two, and ideas for what I want some of the major characters are to be doing between the 'introductory' first arc and the 'all hell breaks loose completely' of the third and fourth. So what I'm asking is do people think that if I start writing things will flow better and I'll come up with ideas naturally or that I'm over-working or any thoughts at all?

(Please note that if I was to start early, it would not be published any earlier, so don't suggest me starting on that basis :D)

Well, I am hard at work designing the 100 card sets that I am going to use in my next Yu-Gi-Oh Fan-Fiction. It's still going to be a while before I start writing the actual Fic, though. I want to prepare thoroughly before I start writing it.

Even though my critiquing series has gone exceptionally well as of late.....

Sorry do you mean multiple 100 card TCG like sets? Yikes

Presumably you have done a basic plot with some characters first so you know what sorts of cards/archtypes to create for them?

I love the surprise factor of watching YGO and people summoning monsters and me thinking 'what does that do?' I enjoyed Dead Zone a lot because my knowledge of the cards used weren't that great and I still get caught out by the odd surprise. But I just couldn't create decks from scratch like that, not any more.

That's why my next fic will be using predominantly newer archtypes from Hidden Arsenal 5, Generation Force and so on onwards.

I saw. I don't have time to review fics sentence for sentence, don't know how you do it. I can't imagine it works when you get past the first few chapters?

Yep. It's been a real headache so far, but I only have one more card to make.
Presumably you have done a basic plot with some characters first so you know what sorts of cards/archtypes to create for them?
Kind of. The main character is kind of a rip-off from Yusei, who has a whole bunch of cards that don't seem like they fit together but have tons of great syngergy that isn't revealed until like ten episodes in. I think I am still going to go with the plot of the "Missing Memories/Journey to Remember Who you Were" scenario.

Me too. I hate it when people have to Spoiler it, though. I mean, couldn't you just tell us without breaking the Fourth Wall?

I'm stoked to read your next Fic.

Well, if you are going to do a FULL-LENGTH review, it only makes sense to break it down word-by word, sentence-by sentence. And it does take a long while to write my reviews, particularly if I am raging that day. But usually, I'll only review the Prologue or the First Chapter, because it doesn't make sense to do a full-length review of every Chapter, like you said.

But yeah, I'm going to get a writing schedule together and hopefully see where my ideas and plot take me this time.

Dunno why but I think lead protagonists are better suited to none-archtypal decks. Makes them more surprising and unpredictable, and as well as easier to pull a card out of pinch. Sometimes too much so to a WTF degree, but at least its less weird than when someoner pulls a random saving card when they use... Dragunity... for example. Or Fabled... :)

It's slowly coming along. Made some progress on planning arc 2 today, and tying a few characters plots and relationships together, more characters getting their own little stories. Long way to go though.

Kinda hoping my computer survives that long. :( Trying to watch Zexal to keep uptodate on Numbers, and my computer doesn't like gogoanime at the minute. It plays Dubhappy alright, Youtube is hit and miss. Windows Media Player is f***ed unfortunately, might have to get someone to look at it. *Unforseen Cost Before Xmas*

Would just be too much, although as a reader I know there have been times where I want people to pick up on every little detail and throwaway line and everything like a (swear). Like just little remarks or things I find funny, or fitting or something, little details. Ah well.

Kyubey's Halloween Fanfic contest is now open to the votes.

You're all capable of finding it yourselves.

Winner is pretty much nailed on already but still, chance to read eight really good stories from guys in this club and others.

Thread is quiet again :(
It's always dead.

Guess I didn't do all that well in that contest, did I? Oh, well. Either way it goes, I'd like suggestions and comments on my story for that contest, cause I'm thiking I might want to continue with it.

I very, very, VERY nearly voted for yours actually, definately my close second favourite and Saber's third.

Both yours and Darks had the best suprising yet horrifying endings, never suspected either of them although hints were there, considering it was really obvious where Sabers/Quicksilvers/mine were going.

Was just a little TOO WTF is going on that took away from it, whereas Darks twist just came out of nowhere after the almost forgetten remark about the baby made early on before all the crash and chase with her father. I thought it was just going to end on dealing with the horror of her father trying to kill her and forcing her to kill him, which if it had I would have still liked the story but wouldn't have voted for it. The extra sting did it.

I actually found the "twist endings" of, say, Vengeful Ghost, Crimson Jackal, Warden and most notably It'll Be Fine, to just be off-putting and making the story worse. They added nothing to the plot except confusion, and didn't provide a satisfying conclusion whatsoever. I didn't find Quiksilver's story "obvious" either, less so than the others.

To me, there's two different kinds of horror. The first is superficial; the kind that makes you shiver in fear and excitement when you read it. Then, there's enduring horror: the kind that you have nightmares about for weeks and make you scared to even finish reading the damned thing. I personally aim for the latter when I write horror, but I don't think I achieved it.
