Structure Deck X01: Alien Anarchy

Hey guys. Just decided to post some custom card ideas. But to make the things more interesting, while I'm posting some new cards, I'm also creating some fictionalized, custom Structure Decks too with some reprint ideas.

Let's see first the Structure Deck list:

These all look fine. The only suggestion I'd make is to remove the ATK/DEF loss clause from Analyst, since it already has decent ATK for a level 4 - and since you'll often want to remove the counters it places for it's effect, and other aliens can give anything it battles the reductions, it's probably not really too important anyway.

A couple of ocg points: The names of counters aren't in quotation marks, Analyst doesn't say where it adds the card to, and U.F.O. says to remove [i]from play[/i] the counters, whereas it should just be remove.

The decklist looks fine. It covers all the aliens, and whilst there aren't many staples reprints of Heavy Storm and Starlight Road are nice.

Maybe the ATK/DEF loss can give it a huge advantage, Analyst usually removes counters from the field. I'll think about it, maybe I'll do some testplays with these cards to decide if it's a huge advantage or not.

For OCG: thanks, I'll remove the quotation marks from the names of counters (even if I saw some in DN's card descs). Analyst says that it's from the Deck ([i]add 1 "Alien" monster from your [b]Deck [/b][/i]), and UFO is fixed.

Yup, I just wanted to add some interesting reprints as commons (like Evil Dragon) and a collection of all Main Deck Aliens, but also wanted to add some staples/semi-staples used in this current format.

You liked Intra and Analyst, so I won't comment about them anything.

Yup, maybe Miner should have some kind of protection, however, if your opponent's only monster is a beatstick with A-Counters on them, and you have a good Alien beatstick too (like Analyst or Intra), your opponent won't try to hit the Miner, instead he'd try to defense. Maybe a protection against monsters with A-Counters on them is not a huge thing, but even can stall the opponent.

For the Morphoirradiation, I think it also needs that discard AND counter removing. The reason is that it doesn't removes the monster, can be recycle it by Ruins, and also allows to Special Summon during the same turn, which is not allowed by most of the draw engines. These restrictions are also "cost" in an other term (like PoD: you can only activate 1 and cannot Special Summoned). And also, if you didn't need to discard for this card, it'd be a +1, which could generate a huge advantage for this archetype, and this card would be limited.

UFO is another story. I'm still hesitating about it: Maybe having A-Counter on the field would be enough, but maybe it'd be a bit broken without them. I want to test these cards out, but I don't have a chance for it at the moment, since I couldn't find anyone who could help me in that.[/center][/center]

Alien Analyst >> This is what Alien needed. But 1800 + 600. 2400 beatstick make this little bit oped. You can get rid brio with this, make the atk to 1300ish. Its for search anyway

Intra-System Terraformer is one of the most balanced bosses: not so powerful, but easy to Summon and even has a good ability. Can be a good addition next to Gol'gar.

Analyst is an awesome card which makes the Alien Decks more faster, especially with Alien Dog. I agree that it's maybe a bit too much, but it's not always used for killing monsters, just in emergency situations. Searching is a more important task for this card. Also cannot rid of Stardust or other Structure Bosses.

Alien Miner is my favourite. It's a really good protection for the "Gateway of Aliens", Code A Ancient Ruins. It's one of my favourite cards, but it's always destroyed by S/Ts, especially in this format. So, I created a defense for it, which can also give it an A-Counter. A bit loopish, but if you destroy it, then you can destroy the Ruin too, so it's sometimes just one more card - but sometimes a risky riddle.

Emh, what we care in this situation is analyst. Because it is beatstick 2400 ATK anyway. And it is Level 4, so what im trying to say here is.

If you wanna use the search with this card, you should lower the atk in order to make it balanced. That way, you cant abuse the ATK beatstick, and easily a beatstick is bad. i mean broken
