This here is the grave archetype, which is basically a zombie archetype that focus on bringing out powerful Xyz monsters and abusing their detachment related effects. I tried to make them compatible with other zombies too, for extra support. They are all earth attribute, and technically compatible with Grave Squirmer. Here they are: Monsters: Grave Maggot * Insect/Effect Once per turn, if this card is in the graveyard, you can pay 500 life points to attach this card to a face up Zombie type Xyz monster you control. Atk/200 Def/100 Grave Warrior **** Zombie This soulless zombie warrior will fight on until it is torn apart. It cannot feel pain. Atk/1800 Def/500 Grave Tombstone *** Rock/Effect All “Grave” monsters gain 200 defense. You can tribute this monster to special summon a Zombie type Xyz monster from your graveyard. Its attack is halved. Atk/600 Def/1600 Grave Golem ***** Zombie/Effect When this card is normal summoned, destroy it. If this card is being treated as Xyz material, that Xyz monster gains 300 attack and defense. When this card is detached from a Zombie type Xyz monster, special summon it to your side of the field. Atk/2200 Def/2100 Grave Assassin **** Zombie/Effect Once per turn, if this card is in the graveyard or on your side of the field, you can attach it to an Xyz monster your opponent controls. If this card is detached from your opponent’s Xyz monster, destroy that Xyz monster. Atk/1500 Def/1200 Grave Soul *** Zombie/Effect Once per turn, if this card would be detached from a Zombie type Xyz monster you control, it is not. This effect can only be used 3 times. After you've used this card's effect 3 times, when it is removed from the field, banish it. Atk/1100 Def/900 Grave Arms ** Zombie/Effect This card cannot be used for a tribute summon or as a synchro material monster. If you control a non-Xyz “Grave” monster, you can special summon this card from the graveyard. If this card is special summoned by this effect, you can increase its level by 1 or 2. This card can only be used as Xyz material for a “grave” monster. If this card is used as Xyz material for the summon of a “Grave” monster, send this card to the bottom of your deck. Atk/600 Def/400 Grave Mezuki (In need of a better name) *** Zombie/Effect If this card is in your graveyard, you can banish it to select one "Grave" monster in your graveyard; Attach it to a Zombie type Xyz monster you control. Atk/1000 Def/1000 Spells: Grave Rising Spell Select one “Grave” monster in your graveyard. Attach it to a “Grave” Xyz monster you control. Grave Digger Spell Detach 2 Xyz material from a “Grave” Xyz monster you control. Search your deck for a “Grave” monster, and add it to your hand. Grave Barrier Continuous Spell If a “Grave” Xyz monster you control would be destroyed by battle: detach an Xyz material from that card; that monster is not destroyed. Traps: Grave Negator Counter Trap Detach 1 Xyz material from a “Grave” Xyz monster you control. Negate the activation of a spell, trap, or monster effect, and destroy that card. Extra Deck: Grave Infector *** Zombie/Xyz/Effect Two level 3 “Grave” monsters When this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle, you can detach 2 Xyz material from this card to special summon it to your side of the field. Atk/2300 Def/1200 Grave Titan *** Zombie/Xyz/Effect Two level 3 “Grave” monsters Each of your end phases, remove 1 Xyz material from this card. If this card has no Xyz material, destroy it. Atk/3000 Def/100 Grave Knight **** Zombie/Xyz/Effect Two level 4 “Grave” monsters Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card to have each Zombie type monster you control gain 300 attack and defense. Atk/2400 Def/1000 Grave Gardna **** Zombie/Xyz/Effect Two level 4 "Grave" monsters This card gains 300 defense for each Xyz material that is attached to it. Once every 2 turns, starting next turn, you can select one Zombie type monster in your graveyard and attach it to this card. This card cannot have more than 5 Xyz materials attached to it. Atk/800 Def/2000 Grave Messiah ***** Zombie/Xyz/Effect Two level 5 Zombie type monsters You can detach 1 Xyz material from this card to destroy 1 card your opponent controls. Bahamut - Envoy of the End Posted September 20, 2011 Report Share Posted September 20, 2011 Oops, my bad about Tri Wight Zone. :s Regarding tombstone, its effect is going to be stuffed anyway because its not going to have any overlay units when summoned by it, unless you put them on it by other means. So all you can use it for is to summon a temporary wall or beater. Grave Soul, just note that the effect can only be used two/three times, and that when it is removed from the field it gets the PSZ/Quillbolt treatment. No need to complicate it with counters i think. And yeah, for tombstone that is kind of what I was going for, but I removed the part where it negates their effects so that if you use maggot or something you can use their effects again.
