We Should Encourage OTKs

Came up with one idea, therefore, I came up with several ideas.

Hyper Super Turbo Rockets
Spell
Pay Life Points (in multiples of 1000 points): Draw 1 card for every 1000 Life Points you paid. At the End Phase: Destroy every monster you control; take damage equal to the Amount of Life Points you Paid.

Phoenix Wind Storm
Spell
Discard 1 card: return up to 3 Spell/Trap cards on the field to their Owner's hand.

Aerolance
Spell
Discard 1 card: Select 1 monster on the field; this turn it gains 1000 ATK and inflicts piercing Damage.

Freezing Wave
Spell
You can only activate this card at the beginning of your Main Phase. Until the End of your turn, no Spell/Trap cards can be set and no set Spell/Trap cards can be activated.

We should NOT encourage OTKS... they reduces player interaction to 'who can get the OTK out quickest, which is bad for te game, yada yada.

Hyper Super Turbo Rockets is pretty OP when combined with Rainbow Life.

Phoenix Wind Storm is a slightly nerfed Giant Trunade, which is banned. Therefore I am sceptical as to whether this will be allowed to roam free.

Aerolance is okay but a bit boring. I don't think people would actually use it, even if it does arguably overshadow a lot of other boosting card effects.

Freezing Wave=Cold Wave, which is banned for a reason (OTK assistance; opponent tends to lose out a lot more than you) so this needs nerfing a little more.

I am disappointed overall, the usual Aggro Spark seems to be missing from these (except for rocket's name lol)

That is Palomuro's problem, not mine.

It's nerfed, that helps a lot.

Freezing wave isn't as good as cold wave. FW doesn't let you set anything and stops set cards from being activated for that turn only, whereas Cold Wave stops ALL cards for yours and your opponent's turn

What's wrong with OTKs?

OTKs reduce player-player interaction essentially to 0, making the entire duel a luck of the draw match, and it is incredibly boring to watch the opponent set up their OTK, when you can't do anything about it. They're absolutely terrible for the game.

Everything except Aerolance is ridiculous... Aerolance is pretty much useless.

The whole reason why giant trunade and cold wave were banned were because they lended far too much support to OTKs. Ever played against Coelecanth OTK, and feeling reasonably prepared, only for them to drop trunade and proceed to setup a long, boring to watch trish loop to rfg all your cards?

I say stick to your archetype-support cards and leave generic ones to me :P

No, actually, I haven't. Every times I've played one of those decks, i've torn them to shreds.

Fine then, I'll break the game my usual way...
