Jake the Sage Posted September 28, 2011 Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 The second Lukas grabbed hold of the giant serpent and snapped it's neck it vanished, though he was too far away to see it. After a short amount of time even the floors returned to normal, having gone out of reach of Malus' current range of power; even the FBI Agents had returned to normal, though incredibly confused. One of them, the Captain, slammed his fist into the wall with an angry expression and openly curse the fact the target had not only gotten away but had made such fools of them all. He was out in the city now and there was no telling what it might enthrall later on. "Excuse me but," he started looking at those still around, "we'll have to detain you for questioning." The FBI Agents blocked the exits and any possible escape routes. They weren't going to harm anybody, if at all possible, and just wanted to know how these children had gone up against someone so vicious without getting killed like the hospital staff. GreyCat Posted September 28, 2011 Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 "Why, your right Jared," Keith answered, his tone dripping with sarcasm born of his preoccupation, "this would be a most inopportune time to be playing games, it that was what I was doing." He tilted the device so Jared could see the screen and the grisly video it was showing. "It is, however, the ideal time to be tracking and documenting the activities of a villain as he lays waste to several law enforcement officers." Keith licked his lips nervously. "Sorry about the snappy attitude. Shoot, he's leaving! Come on!" he scurried down the hallway, after the guy and Lukas. He stopped short of jumping out the broken wall though. "First you take out the bank foundation, then you rip out a chunk of the hospital's wall," Keith muttered in shocked amazement to no one in particular. "Lukas, do you even [i]know[/i] the meaning of self-restraint?" Keith searched, seeigng if he could catch a glimpse of the stranger. NO luck, but his first Kino was still following him. For precaution, Keith made four more with a passing thought, the dull metal spheres, each smaller than a tennis ball, forming out of thin air and darting off to follow the first. That done, Keith slowly waved his hand over the huge space, curtsey of Lukas, a new wall slowly taking form in the wake of his motion, patching up the damage. He surveyed the fix, pleased that his powers were working as he wished, and staggered a bit. "Whoa, backlash I think. But look at that. Insta-wall. Brought to you by Jonah Creations." Big Bad Pennar Posted September 28, 2011 Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 Vlad looked at the FBI Agents with a rather Evil Sneer as she returned to her body, She was not taking any chances, Her target was in Sight as the circle of Glyphs that only She saw shot into the hospital, She shot inside the hospital without any sort of response toward the FBI Agents, and looked on the ground, She immediately saw the moving red Glyph Circle, but it was different than the other one at both her house and at the abandoned park. She stepped on the circle and it immediately stopped moving and glowed, It became visible to everyone in the vicinity, bit this one felt different, This one had 4 rings, each one having a hole in it that was the same size of the shaft of the spear and an arrow, She had to focus, It was a puzzle, She needed to line up all 4 arrows north. She stabbed her spear into the 3rd hole and jerked hard Clockwise, Which Made the 2nd ring move Clockwise along with the 3rd ring, useful, but she needed the rings aligned, She saw that the 2nd ring's arrow and the 1st ring's arrow were nearly aligned, but she suspected something, She dug the staff into the 4th ring and moved it Counter-Clockwise, but it caused the First ring to move Clockwise, Away from aligning from the 2nd ring, She Sighed as she attempted to shift the ring the other way around but couldn't... "Don't use to much of your powers now. You might end up like me. Stay here I want check on something." Jared went to move onwards when he collapsed out of energy yet again. "Looks like I'm going nowhere anytime soon. Just go on without me, not like I'm of use to anyone now." he struggled to his feet and started walking the opposite direction. When he finally found a chair he sat down to catch his breath "I really did it this time, my powers still haven't come back." Reacting quickly and in time to stop her they tackled her to the ground then subdued her. Lifting her up the Captain ordered his men and they blocked the other two from getting farther. Each heavily armed officer raised their weapons, set on stun, to the two young boys as the rest of the group held Vlad down via steel poles attached to the harness she was now in. Pleasantries having gone out the window the the explosion he yelled so everyone did indeed hear him, "You will be detained and questioned, is that understood?!" But she decided she didn't really have time to experiment. She decided she would go back to the Order, tell them she wanted in. Her powers, she suspected, were the only reason she was as good at art as she was. And if she wanted to be a world famous artist, like she planned to be in future, she would have to get better at her powers. At least, that was her deduction. Getting up from the bench, she stretched and walked back inside. "Mum?" She called. "Can you please drive me to the Hospital?" Her Mum poked her head out from behind a door. "Why dear? Did you fall and hurt yourself again?" Piper shook her head. "No. I just want to visit a friend of mine. She had a car crash recently and now she's in hospital." It wasn't the whole truth; After all, she was going to see the Order; But she could make time to see her friend as well, so Mum wouldn't be suspicious. Mum sighed. "Ok, give me 2 minutes to finish this document." **************** A few moment later, Piper was at the Hospital. She waved goodbye as her Mum pulled away, then she walked inside. But within moment, she heard a commotion. Curious, she gripped her notebook tight, and walked towards the sound of battle. \By chance, she arrived mere seconds before the battle ended. FBI Agents aimed guns at an evil looking man, who seemed to have summoned a serpent. The man himself brushed past her on his way to flee, but Piper was too surprised to even think of tripping him up. Then she noticed some other kids who'd been recruited by the order were there: The guy with fire, the guy with similar powers to her, the kid who'd made the massive hole at the bank and the girl with the spirit. Vlad did something, and strange red rings appeared. To Piper, this made absolutely no sense. And she doubted it made sense to anyone else. Then the FBI Agents tackled Vlad, and yelled out they were to be detained and questioned. To Piper's horror, one of them looked at her and made a move forward. With that, Alrus shot out of Vlad's body and carved the harness using his scythe, freeing Vlad easily. The puzzle was starting to break when Vlad got back on the rings, which it stopped. She noted the pattern of the rings and started to complete the puzzle. Much to Vlad's dismay, the puzzle started to move to her southeast, prompting her to dig the spear into one of the holes of the puzzle and hanging on for dear life. The ride stopped short after nearly crashing into a wall and completing the puzzle, the rings disappeared and turned exactly like the glyph ring she saw at the abandoned park... Ah forget it," he sighed. "I can tell you aren't buying it. He looked around. Surrounded and cornered. Jared seemed out of fire power for the moment, and would probably have take a violent route out anyway. And [s]the Countess[/s] Vlad was captured. With the type of restrained normally reserved for rabid animals. Getting out of this would take... effort... and creativity. Which, fortunately, he had in good supply. He could cut through the floor, but that would just make another hole for the hospital to fix. Smoke? No, they might start shooting blindly, and that wouldn't end well for anyone. He could make something to knock them out, but there wasn't anyway to aim it. Fire... no. That would be Jared's solution. On the other hand, they might not know he had powers... He jumped when Alrus appeared. He really disliked that ghost, but Vlad made her escape. That was bound to make the men more jumpy. He quickly held his hands up. Motioning the other Agents listened to their Captain and hoisted the now unconscious girl up and onto a stretcher before taking her away. Though if the others went they would surely see her again. The Captain turned to one of the children who spoke, "Thank you for cooperating young man." "As for the rest of you I hope you make this man you're goal and do what he did," the Capetian said referring to Keith as a man, were he had normally called everyone 'boy' or 'girl'. Big Bad Pennar Posted September 29, 2011 Report Share Posted September 29, 2011 As Vlad was stunned by the stun guns, Alrus felt the exact same thing and returned into Vlad's body as she was knocked unconscious. Despite being unconscious, she could still leave her body, but her ruse had exhausted her, she could not travel back to the seal, let alone 3000 feet below the surface where the hospital was at. Much to the FBI's shock, the circle of glyphs that was unlocked, still visible to all around them started moving towards Vlad as they took her away on the stretcher... Vlad woke up somewhere she didn't know, she was trying to look around, trying to figure out where she was, her vision was somewhat blurred, she saw someone come in and distortedly said "Mom? But her thoughts continued to return to her mum. How would she feel when she realized Piper had been taken in for questioning? It made Piper shudder. Finally, she gathered her thoughts enough. She held her hands up. "I'm a f-fan of co-operating with the law as well. I-I'll d-do as you asked." Even as she asked, she felt silly. Stuttering like a loon. She didn't have Keith's confidence. He put his head down "Ok I'll go with you guys but one tiny problem. I can't seem to walk right now all this moving around made my legs go numb." Jared tried to stand only to fall flat on his face. "oww, see what I mean though." Jared could now see around the corner and noticed that the girl with the ghost wasn't moving and her clothes were floating, then he seen the ping-pong ghost. Jake the Sage Posted September 29, 2011 Report Share Posted September 29, 2011 The FBI Agents had whisked the children away in, as usual and to the stereotype, in black vehicles before heading to an undisclosed location that looks a lot like a military base which no similarities to Area 51. The agents had concocted a cover story that the explosions and deaths had been the result of a ruptured gas line that had been underneath the hospital this entire time; any speculations were discounted by "credible" scientists that said there was indeed a gas line underneath the structure. Now in the undisclosed base the men were trying to wind down from their work and apparent failure. Most however weren't allowed and instead had to guard the doors of each person they planned to interrogate. That was, of course, until the General came in and stated that the children could be allowed to walk around in a certain area but only under supervision. "Yes sir!" came the resounding reply from all the armed men, still in the same uniforms as earlier, and opened the doors so they could all come out into the main room. It was something out of a movie for sure, large computers and Humvees equipped with the latest technology. The General welcomed each of them with open arms, "I do apologize for this but as soon as we clear this all up . . . you'll be on your way back home." My kidnapping's the crime of the-" she was interrupted by a blanking, a signal that Alrus was waking up. She quickly stepped in the circle and left her body... --- A few moments later Vlad woke from her journey to the temple and said "So I have to pass this test... Don't tell me!? I have to fight THAT fool without Alrus!? Oh freaking hell this'll be one challenge." she went into the main room and joined up with the others, with the help of a few soldiers... He sighed and swung his leg in a bored fashion. He didn't create anything to pass the time, not willing to give these men anymore information than they needed at the moment. Considering their current position, information was all they had going for them. And there was now way in heaven or hell that he was about to play all his cards. Not yet. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to. "The secrecy I can get," Keith continued. "But no mysterious labs, no banks of lights in the ceiling, not doors marked 'hazardous materials,' not even donuts." Big Bad Pennar Posted September 29, 2011 Report Share Posted September 29, 2011 Vlad took one look at Keith after he said that and said to him "this whole base is mysterious, who needs mysterious labs?" in response to the mysterious labs part. she could not find good responses for the doors and lights parts, but she had a good comeback for the doughnuts, she said "And maybe they lack doughnuts because people kept calling them fat and such, and they got tired of it". She started to giggle, but her laugh came to an end, Alrus woke, but unlike last time, there was no wave of dark power and Alrus did not shoot out of Vlad's body... He sat up and brought his hands together a normal sized fireball came out and didn't burn up at all. "Finally I can burn again." upon leaving the room he saw the humvees and computers. In the distance he heard people talking so he walked over to it to find the others there. "Keith, ...ghost-girl," He said trying to remember her name. "What is this place, last thing I remember is falling asleep at the hospital. Next thing I know I'm here, with my fire." He said as he held up a fireball. She would call her later, explain that she got caught up and why. She hoped her mum wouldn't flip like a loony. She was prone to doing that. Around her, the other kids caught in the incident conversed quietly. Keith made a comment on the place not being mysterious enough, with Vlad saying it was perfectly fine and mysterious. Then Fire-Boy came over and asked where they were. "Military base or something, I'd guess." Piper offered. "The FBI agents brought us here after the incident at the hospital." She shrugged. [I]Considering I only saw the last - I dunno, 3 seconds? - of the fight, still have to be detained and questioned. Sucks to be me.[/I] She sighed, then pulled out her cellphone. Moving slightly away from the others, she dialed her home phone. "Mum?" She said quietly. "Where are you?!" Her mum snapped, her voice coming out loudly from the phone. Piper winced. "I-I saw something at the hospital. Some sort of fight. The FBI were there. They took me and some other kids with them for questioning." Silence at the other end. "Look Mum, I did-" "Did you forget all I told you? Avoid fights! You couldn't even do that!" "But Mum-" "No buts. Message me to pick you up." Her mum hung up. Piper pocketed her phone and lent back on the chair. Just as she thought. Mum wasn't happy. Just what Piper needed. This day was getting better and better. She went up to Jared and said to him "I'd be a bit careful about what you do here, I would get rid of that fireball before they do to you what they did to me... My name's Vlad by the way". She giggled as she sat in a chair as Alrus Shot out of Vlad's Body, She then said to Alrus, "Well That sorta went well, It turns out that it followed me here after I unlocked it, Much to my dismay, I have a test to pass..." Alrus then said, Although the norms could not hear [color=#FF0000]"I feel something Mystical about this place, Although this place is concealed, This place seems familiar..." [/color]Alrus looked at each of the soldiers and growled [color=#FF0000]"They will pa-" [/color]"Don't you even dare Alrus, They're watching!" This looked sorta loony to the Norms, Some of the Soldiers wondered about this 'Alrus', although they think he's an Imaginary friend or something... Vlad closed her eyes, then opened them and saw a Glyph, Similar to the one that the bank had at the center of the room, except this one was smaller and divided into 5 parts. Alrus Read the first part of the Glyph, Only Vlad could hear him [color=#FF0000]"Death to the masses marks the birth of Aluria, The god of Revenge, A divine plague ravaged on and about, taking a large amount of people's lives, He lives on within a moving temple made out of pure hatred for such false justice, Once every 500 years, His temple rises up into the sky to escape the conflicts of humanity and it does so to this very day" [/color]Vlad was shocked, This marked a lot of things, but Alrus Kept Reading The Glyph [color=#FF0000]"A Single Dream creates a single Soul, As Alrus, The god of Nightmares was born within a time Humans Barely existed, his temple had moved several times in an attempt to find a living soul to bind himself to. He could not find her until 500 years had passed..."[/color] Vlad now knew Alrus's Story now, He could only extend his influence with a living body, A High Priestess. Keith twirled his finger in the air in mock celebration, but did sound genuinely glad to see Jared up and about again. Considering that the last time he saw the guy conscious was right before he took a face plant, and a little before that he was in a hospital bed. "Nice to see that your fire is burning like new again, but really, douse it. No need to get your hosts all frantic again. Seriously." Keith shifted and started tipping his chair back unto the two rear legs. He suppressed that telltale shudder he got when Alrus stirred and talked on to cover it. "As for where we are." He waved vaguely. "Welcome to the lamest excuse for area 52 I've ever been to. Bathroom's three doors down the hall, water cooler in the corner, and oh, no donuts." He sighed. He could really use a chocolate drizzled donut right now. He eavesdropped on Piper's side of the conversation. Not that it was hard in the confined space. Alrus went back to reading, the other 3 parts of the glyph explained about how Devirath was born, how the priestesses were made, and that 4000 feet below was the Birthplace of Alrus, Aluria, and Devirath. She sighed as Keith spoke to Piper, she giggled as she closed her eyes and left her body as a projection, shooting into Keith, she wanted to speak with Keith, but subconsciously, as it was her most private way to talk, she wanted to speak to him about his journey... Once they had, and the soldiers were told that Jared's "fireball" wasn't anything to worry about, the man in charge sat on a desk looking at the young group that had the fateful encounter with their target. He was about to begin when he spotted the young girl, who had only seen the last portion of the events, talking on a cell phone. With a groan he stood up, walked over to her, dug in her pocket to retrieve it, and tossed it onto the table before addressing her, "We will contact your mother later and let her know where to pick you up. Until then the usage of cell phones and any other communicative devices are strictly prohibited." "Silence!" one of the men yelled as the insults streaming from Keith's mouth continued to flow, aggravating them all. Take it a bunch of stupid brats cannot perceive the gravity of the situation they were currently in many of the soldiers thought, but didn't voice it. With a wave from the Captain the men grew silent as he turned back to them, "Everyone I need you to be serious about this now, this isn't a joke . . . lives are in danger." Flicking on a tv which produced a still frame captured from a hospital security camera, showing Malus escaping the first room, he turned to everyone else and pointed with the remote, "I am sure many of you know this person from your encounter at the hospital. Many already have some grasp of what he can do, but I need to know [i]everything[/i] that happened and everything that was [i]said[/i]. Alrus caught her up about what the captain said and Vlad sighed, she then stood up and started to speak "Sadly, this doesn't seem to be time for pleasantries, so I'll cut to the chase with what went on... However, you might think of me as rather loony after my explanation." She giggled and said "I was somewhere in the city after making my rounds to pray at a temple... Some 3000 feet below, I was told to find the Temple of Revenge, which moves below the area where the most negativity, which is created after a disaster takes place, I gave chase as it shot beside me, leading to the Hospital. After reaching the hospital, I saw this guy..." She pointed at Malus on the TV "...Fleeing, I sensed a horrific amount of negativity coming off of him... This kinda made my situation rather frantic, I bursted into the hospital, and I was hoping for a free ride into the temple, but the damn ring that would take me into it was locked..." He had taken certain... precautions if you will, when he first spotted Malus. And it seemed that those actions were about to pay off. True, he wasn't sure how well they would take it, but, it would be fun to see how much he could [s]piss off[/s] show these agents just how much they were underestimating them. In fact, he had overestimated them. He thought they would pull better info from the security tapes and fun stuff like that. Ah well. Now, how would he put this so the full extent of his gifts wasn't revealed... Before he could act, he felt that familiar but unwelcome shudder he associated with Alrus and the one he linked to Vlad's soul drive trick. She was getting polite with her dips, it seemed. Still, he didn't know how to say come in without, well, saying come in. [i]Um, Vlad? Can you hear me?[/i] he tried thinking as loud and clearly as he could. [i]Okay, I feel dumb, but I guess you got something to say to me?[/i] Out loud, he addressed his new best friend. "Sorry captain, but I wasn't around when the whole thing started," Keith said, shaking his head. He had to show some respect to the man, after all, he [i]did[/i] say he liked co-operating with the law. "I know something was going on until after the alarm went off. However, that doesn't mean I saw nothing. I wasn't there in person, but I did watch the altercation. From about when you me almost shot our friend." He pulled a memory card from his pocket. He held it up with a flourish. So what if he could help but be a bit arrogant. Sue him. "And I have it in high definition, if you care to watch?" Be honest, I was blind for almost my entire life before this, and as such I missed all that cell phone prohibition stuff. This might well go on my criminal record. By getting on this cops good side, he was probably going to get out of this joint first, and get back to his donuts. "I saw nothing." She whispered softly, so much in fact that the FBI Agent had to lean forward to hear her. "I arrived at the very end of the fight, and all I saw was that guy run off, and something about a serpent. I dunno." She wouldn't look the FBI in the eye: She didn't need this. Her mum was already annoyed at her. And Piper was certain her father (kinder than her mum by a stretch) would know by now. When she got home, she'd get a nice, long lecture on her behavior. The FBI confiscating her cell phone, her only tie to normality now, was just another thing she could tick off her list of annoyance.
