King of Games
Claude brought the hammer up from one last slam. As he did this, a large current of electricity passed from the gold in his one hand to the hammer in the other. "That's never happened before" Claude thought, surprised at what he had done. He didnt have time to experiment just yet though. He finished the welding on his little project and slipped the leather gloves over the new weapons. He had made gold into wires, that travelled from the base of the glove to the ends of the fingers, with rings around them that would hold onto his hands. They fit like a glove. He heated up the highly conductive metal and curled his fingers in. Razor blades of gold bent to look like claws pierced through the leather at the end of each finger and jutteed out half an inch. When he relaxed his hand, the claws safely went back under the brown leather. Claude put them in his bag pleased with his work. Now he had time to experiment. Claude pointed his arm at the metal hammer and releashed his electricity. A bolt of lightning shot out and hit to hammer, sending it some feet away. Claude shot at it again but the lightning redirected and hit his bag of metal objects. "So they behave like real lightning huh? I can work with that." Claude grabbed some cutlery from his bag and tossed it into the air, pointing in their general direction, Claude shot again. The forks were hit by the branching lightning with no problem. "This feels incredible." Claude said, looking at the residual electricity dancing across his hands. GreyCat
"I'm sure the rest of the base is cool and all," Keith said, a bit dismissive in his preoccupation, "But I'll off to see the labs. Ciao!" He snatched one of access cards and waved at them over his shoulder, heading down to the room Austin had come from, intent on putting his ideas and thoughts on paper (or computer) before he forgot them. He strode inside without any further words and grabbed some blank sheets of paper and posted himself in front of a computer. His problem was that he wasn't a linear thinker, so he started randomly noting his thoughts. He sketched a little stick man and wrote around it What he knew: The rings or halos came when he touched something and gave him a perfect copy. The cool [s]tendrils[/s] strands seemed to make his thoughts and imaginings real. So that involved patterns, shapes, arrangement. But that seemed to be limiting him. Like that fire he made. He created gas and a spark, without actively thinking of making gas. He just wanted fire. And that spark. Did he leech electrons from the air, or was he overthinking it again. What he didn't know: How it worked. The halo scanned something, if he was copying, and the strands made it. He tried it with a blank sheet. Hmm… Those black markings at his fingertips. Where did those come in? It kinda reminded him of a circuit… A creation circuit? Were the strands motile expansions of it? He made more sheets, watching the faint lines grow. Was he limited to his hands only? He sighed, then glimpsed his faintly luminescent eyes. Eyes. He could copy by sight… What if he was focusing too much on the form. Function could play a major role. So, till now, maybe his touch was expanding his… his perception(?) to the item. So, if his thinking was right, he was restricting himself to mere form. He should be able to create function, purpose. He gave it a try. Without using his hands, he glared at the computer. Hesitantly, the fain halo rippled over it, and for the first time he noticed the information that streamed into his mind, not just on it's construction, but on its… soul?. Strands unwound from shoulder, and slowly formed a copy of the computer beside the original. It fell apart before it finished forming, and he slumped back from the exertion, tired but pleased. His eyes were perceivers. His body a creation circuit, a catalyst. His strands the workings. He had to work on making this new perception second nature, and focus on the purpose. It was a start. ~~~~ "Honey, you seem so dreary, no need to be so down," Lillian sighed. Kaden was always the moody one. Since he gave his permission, she shifted her barrier, falling into the micro-g bubble. As for the loot, she had plans. She had a couple bank accounts to dump some of the cash in. But first, she would stop by some money changer to trade for foreign currencies then back. She might loss a bit to exchange rate, but it would be negligible. The jewelry… some she would keep. The more valuable ones altered somewhat at jewellers. The rest she could spit between pawning and hiding away. The stock could be sold on the black market. Ah, nothing like financial gain. "I'll be back in a hour or two honey," she announced. "I'll even do some shopping while I'm out." She floated up the hatch, using a barrier set reflect light as a simple security camera, then sending a micro-g bubble to move the bed and hatch out of the way when it proved clear. She made sure to close the hatch and replace the bed behind her, then tried something new. She added a tweaked light exclusion to the barrier, causing it to bend most of the light around it's form and preventing light from escaping, effectively placing her in a bubble of invisibility. She checked the effect in the mirror and satisfied with what she saw, took off for town.
Big Bad Pennar
Devirath wanted to make a true pact with Vlad, seeing as her high priestess was dead in Vlad's mind, but Vlad stopped her and said "Devirath, a pact with one is enough, but a pact with 2 is way too much, However, If I need your help, i will pray to you" Vlad smiled as she and Devirath waved goodbye to each other as Vlad rose to the surface... Vlad returned to her body and the Glyphs stopped glowing visibly, She wanted to try her new power, but nothing found her eyes except a little chipmunk, She thought to herself to backflip, she left her body still thinking of doing the backflip and entered the chipmunk briefly, When she left the Chipmunk, It did a backflip, She was laughing, this is when the fun truly began for her... StealthyTyranitar
(OOC: I feel like Kaden and Lukas are soort of rivals) Lukas looked back at his creation. "That's better." The room was amazing. It was like an underground cavern, with an underground spring even, except the walls were backed in and the stalactites and stalagmites were only in the back of the room. He rested on his bed for a minute, trying to think of new things he could do with his powers. He did this when he was bored, but it never worked when he actually tried it. He flipped through his dreambook, wich seemed to give him ideas. He had found a way to right brail, of course. He thought of one. He could create a set of hands, no, gloves, and use them like extended hands. He imagined the stone forming a pair of large gloves, and found that it worked. He was extremely suprised. Next time that that light guy showed up, he could strangle him witht these. Lukas found different things he could do witht he gloves. He could hover to a small extent, by having the gloves lift him up. He fond that there wer lots of things of this sort he could do with them. Then, he figured out the combat uses for these gloves. They could clap over their ears, crushing the enemies head. They could pick up items and beat the enemy witht them. He could fire them at high speeds. There was no end to the uses for the gloves. He loved them more then his other powers. (OOC: Note, the gloves are stronger than Lukas is)
Altαir
A lovely place. Dan smirked with glee and anticipation, a new den meant a new step ahead into the future. Despite this movement, his hand was still shaking, residual excitement from the previous encounter. However much he was anticipating the future, however, he was curious of the present. He then examined the room he dismissed as lovely, it was far from so physically. Old and unkept corners matched with a wood flooring covered in a layer of the most disgusting dust he could remember. He could hear creaks and works surrounding the room, and the sound of what seemed like electricity from the plastic gym he chose not to enter. The smell matched the tone of the room, a room kept undiscovered for a while, and hasn't been used in even longer. He stopped smelling, in fear of gathering dust in his nose and sneezing in an unrefined manner. He sighed. He couldn't believe things his babysitters said to do at an early age stayed with him. If only his power extended to altering behavioral behaviors.
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad simply giggled as she remembered sensing a disturbance on her way up back to the surface, she grinned a very evil grin as she wondered about how her new powers worked on humans rather than animals, Alrus saw that girl Vlad couldn't scan at the bank, but he ignored her, he had something else on his mind, he grinned as he went back within Vlad, she already had an idea how to get in the hideout, all she did was go to the abandoned park again and closed her eyes, for concealment and protection, she left Alrus to guard her body as she left it... Her projection walked into the abandoned building and phased through the bed and the trap door, easily landing in the hideout, there was one person she aimed for... Her projection looked at Kaden and only made herself visible to him, and possibly Tyler or whoever that guardian angel is... (> None of the villains noticed me? NumberCruncher
"All I have to do is go up to the house, kick down the door, and BAM - I'm living in Money Town, just north of Cash City," thought Morty to himself. "I may not have made anything at the bank heist, but this is garunteed moola for me." Morty approaches Kaden's abode, knife in hand. "You can do this. Just kick down the door and threaten to rat him out to the Agency if he doesn't fork over the cash that should have been mine." With newfound resovle, Morty kicks down the door. "Hello?" Morty called into the room. "Hmm, I suppose that means nobody's home. Ah well! That just means I can be more intimidating when he arrives, and I'm there to greet him. In the meantime, I should set this door back up. Then, I'll wait to pounce."
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad's projection giggled as She was spotted by the guardian angel first, It turns out that she may get along well with whoever this angel was bound to, however, there is no time for such pleasantries, as that Guardian Angel could alert the other bad guys at that moment, She seemed to have vanished, but had in fact phased through Kaden, which in turn, Imprinted a message into his head "You will help me sometime in the future, without realizing how..." Vlad walked toward Tyler after phasing through Kaden and gave a kind smile to Tyler, if only she could speak within her projection...
GreyCat
"Hello?" Keith called out, slowly opening the door. Empty. Perfect. He shut the door behind him and turned the lights down low. He did his theoretical work, the stack of papers in his hand was proof of that, now it was time for the practical applications. He stood in the center of the room, took a deep breath, and tried to focus. The important thing was set up his territory, his space. He called it a psycho-geometric sense. When it was up, he could keep track of the form and purpose of his creations within the space, and analysis stuff without needing to touch it. His silver blue halo expanded swiftly then faded from normal vision, though he could still it. It a five meter radius space. More than enough for now. Inside, he could see things, like forces, pressure, change. He raised a hand and four spots on the ground around suddenly glowed a faint silver blue, and framework sprang up, with form swiftly following, forming into four pillars. He grinned, and clenched his fist. The pillars burst into grey blue dust, swirled toward his hand, and reformed into a shaft of steel, strands extending from his palm holding it above the ground. "Perfect," he said contentedly. ~~~~ Lillian Finished the last of her transactions with a smile. Now, all the stolen hot money was back out in circulation, and only normal notes in to her name. And the jewellery. That would be a bit easier to take care of later. She had two shopping bags and was merrily skipping back home, earn appreciative gazes from the young men she passed. She took the first alley she came to and switched to her barrier carriage; half a sphere that she could recline in. And with the light bending exclusion set, she wasn't about to be seen either. But she could still see those below her. Like the prone form of a familiar looking girl. She enclosed her barrier and drifted down for a closer look under the cover of invisibility. Sure enough, that girl from the bank was unconscious on the ground, with that ghost thing, presumably her powers standing guard. Lillian weighed her options; girl that messed with the job, heading back to base. Girl, base. Girl, base. She grinned. Girl. She would rip that little hussy apart for interfering. Not that her interference did much. "Hey honey," she called to the ghost without dropping the invisibility. "You wouldn't happened to have tried and stopped a bank robbery recently, would you?" Big Bad Pennar
Alrus brandished his scythe as he chuckled at the voice, He could already see Lillian through her invisibility sphere, He said "Oy, We were just doing our job... Besides, We're here to talk, not wank ourselves to death in such a pointless battle..." Alrus poked Vlad with the butt end of his scythe, Immediately returning her to her body and waking her from her trance, She giggled and said "Looks like you're that little person whom I couldn't read", She crossed her arms and hands then looked to confirm that nobody was around, she then said to Lillian "Perhaps I'd speak to you then... Much to my disbelief, I am going to need you and your gang to help me look for something..."
GreyCat
"Really now? And was just doing mine." Lillian mused. She idly wondered how the ghost saw through he light bending shield, but it didn't matter at the moment. "But if you want to talk, lets." She inverted her barrier, changing it to her more standard cushion chair, her bags inside. At the same time, the clearing darkened as she enclosed it in a barrier, one for blocking physical entry from the outside as well as an invisibility exclusion and a sound proofing for privacy. As a precaution, she keyed it Kaden, in case he came upstairs, so he would be able to see through it. "For privacy, sweetie," she explained for the to orderling's sake. She thought for a second, then used a small barrier to pluck the scythe from Alrus and toss it lightly a few feet away. "Don't bring weapons you don't intend to use. And if you want to negotiate, you should have any intentions, right honey?" That done, she lounged on her chair, and used another barrier to float the carton of strawberries out of the bubble, took a handful then moved the rest out where they could get some. "Help yourself, okay, sweetie?" She bite into hers with pleasure, savouring the sweet fruit, licking the juice from her lips. "Darling, you have my attention. What would you like to talk about?" Hunderas
Jared finally got the perfect fireball in his hands after a few hours of training. He looked up and the trees were black from the carbon he burned. "How long have I been out here?" Jared thought to himself. Picking up his stuff he started home. Home, the place where his parents denied that there son had powers that burned down there houses before. "Alright Jared, decision time. Do I go 'home' or do I go back to the Order?" Walking back into town Jared finally came to a decision to go back to the Order, for now. Making his way back to the hospital, Jared stopped. "Why do they get to decide what I do. Are my powers so not under my control that they have to watch me like a dog? I control my own future. Not some guys dressed in black, but if I do that where am I going to live?" Jared sat down on a nearby bench. The crowd walked back and forth in front of him as if he was invisible to them.
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad then said "From what Devirath tells me 3000 feet under our feet, There is a third temple I need to go to, Again, 3000 feet below us, but as to where..." She giggled lightly "That's the tricky part, There was a Glyph at the bank that only Alrus and I saw talking about the Triangle, Where there is a Temple at each of the points, The Temple of Nightmares, Where my home is built on top of, Then there is the Temple of Inspiration, Then there is the Third Temple, The Temple of Revenge moves based on the most negative point within the triangle, Remaining 3000 feet below..." She sighed, then continued "I already pinpointed your leader... and with my newfound Imprinting ability..." She held her hand out, her palm pointing to her face "I have already told him a small cryptic riddle summarizing what I had told you" She giggled... GreyCat
Lilian swallowed the bit of her strawberry carefully. "Let me see if I understand you, honey. There are tree temple places you need to get to, one by your place, another around her, then the last one is somewhere underground." She illustrated with three small orbs, these shiny and glowing, and let them hover in the air in a rough triangle. Two were yellow, but the last one was red. "Honey, the fact that your last stop is about a kilometer down I can understand," she drawled slowly, steepling her fingers in a decidedly villainous manner, sitting with her legs crosses. "But what I can't get, is how that particular situation has any interest to me." She sneered, thinking of the others in her group. "Well, us. Tell sweetie, why should I care?" In full on villain mode now, Lillian proceeded to lay out her position to Vlad. "You and the rest of the little orderlings can go dig a hole a china for all I care." She smiled rather coldly, not a trace of happiness in it, as she thought of the kid that Kaden had been playing around with. "In fact, I recall that one of you kiddies caved in the bank's floor. Why not run to him? What's the angle dear? What's in it for me?"
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad Giggled before saying "Oh really... little one, Now consider this, The point of the triangle you highlighted in red moves towards the most negative area in the triangle, What I'm saying was if that crime you pulled was the most serious crime, I would have seen a Ring of Glyphs while Alrus was throwing your guys at your leader, so even if you don't agree to helping me, As long as you're doing what you do best, You're still helping me.... What I'm asking is simply do what you do best..." She giggled and simply walked towards the White Glyph Circle that marked the Temple of Inspiration, She then sighed "If only I can bring other people with me when I enter that state, You'll see the Beauty of that temple" Still looking at the Glyphs, She pointed her palm at Lillian, it was a gesture to imprint what Vlad saw into Lillian's mind, Which she tried to do, She hoped that the barrier in her mind would allow it... StealthyTyranitar
Lukas was practicing breaking stone walls with his glove, when he came to the fourth one. He knew how to destroy this one without any powers. He simply opened his mout and said "When is the host going to advance the plot?" The wall shattered. He put his back to the wall, then decided to go up stairs, to find if there were any weapons up there he could use. eventually he found one, but instead of the guns he thought he would find, he found old, midevil weapons. He picked upa very large bow, puled back string, and let an arrow fly towards the shooting range near the back. To his suprise, he found that he had hit the target very accuratelly. His mind started racing with posibilties. He asked the people if he could use it, and he took it and some arrows back to his room. More fun for him! GreyCat
"For the record honey, I much prefer calling our actions alternative business transactions and revolutionary political action. It has a much better ring to it that larceny and crime, don't you think." She floated her bubble closer to Vlad as she spoke. She could feel this one reaching at her mind again, the pressure on her mental barrier. She kept it up by habit really, since she hadn't met anyone with psychic power, and it helped her keep focus, confining her thoughts as she wished. Funny how that worked. In any case, she figured the only reason the girlie would have for knocking on her door was to further her case. So she obliged. Worse case scenario; she just re-erects her barriers from the inside out, forcing the interloping little bi- hussy out, with a killer migraine, or shut the barrier behind her, locking girlie in her mindscape. She let down her walls partially, enough to let girlie do what she had to.
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad looked ahead emotionlessly as she got access to Lillian's mind, she found out her name easily as it always seemed to be in the subconscious, but that wasn't the only reason she was here, she imprinted into Lillian's mind what she saw ahead, the white Glyph ring that lead to the temple, but before she could leave, she could feel something imprinting into her, she listened as Lillian heard as well "The end of your journey draws near, High Priestess Vlad, finalize yourself and become one that all will respect or fear, one who can bring even a single thought into reality... Claim your third and final power as the full moon shines among blood"... Vlad quickly shot out and said "crap, there goes my day... It needs to be during the full moon..." GreyCat
Lillian raised an eyebrow. The place was nice and all, but it was filled with pompous fools. Really, full moon among blood? "You have one of those technicality power, don't ya, honey?" Lillian sighed dramatically. As if things weren't bothersome as they were, little miss priestess has a ritual to fulfill. Since the most important part of their talk seemed over, she dropped the barrier, and erected her mental shield as well. She did see one potentially major flaw in Vlad's little plan though. "Now sweetie, that talk of shining among blood and all, I may not be Tyler, but killing is further than I am willing to go. No monetary gain, hardly any real purpose. If blood has to be shed, your on your own, honey."
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad simply giggled and said "to be quite honest Miss, blood really hasn't have to be shed to call the temple, a simple brawl draws enough negativity into the air to attract it, especially if it's brutal and such, the part where the moon shines among blood refers to Aluria's test rather than the actual calling... I would have to drive the temple away without the help of Alrus..." Vlad smiled a bit, maybe it was time for some odd-ball chitchat, "now onto a little about me, seeing as the really important stuff is over... Most people will think it's weird to see a super with more than 1 power... It's cause I have a more primitive form of the gene that gives them powers, which I call the Priestess Gene, You see, my gene is split into 3 inactive parts which I call nodes, when Alrus, Aluria, or Devirath enter me, whether I'm up here or down at one of their temples as a projection, it activated one of the nodes, based on who entered... From what Alrus told me when I made a pact with him, my final power is... I can't remember what it is, but I know I can satisfy your deepest desires with it..." GreyCat
Well, that was quiet certainly a statement filled with double entendre, of a more... deviant kind. Lillian choose not to push that issue any further. For now at least. She tackled the previous point instead. "Honey, I honestly don't really care that much about the biological side of anyone's powers. I'm only interested in the physics of it. As for a super with more than one power... well sweetie, you've seen me in action." Lillian allowed herself a smug smirk. "I fly, shield, make things explode, become invisible at will, slice stuff. Some people think I have way too much power, when it is nothing more than careful manipulations and creative use of my, quiet frankly, rather simple ability." Two barrier pulled chunks of soil and grass from the ground between them. As the two prizes rose to eye level, one suddenly crisped, smoked then burst into flames within the barrier. The other rapidly froze solid. "Someone watching would see telekinesis, pyrokinesis and cryokinesis. But it's all barriers. Blocking gravity to float, magnifying and focusing heat within a localized area to trigger ignition, blocking heat in another to cause freezing." She suffered Vlad a somewhat pitying look, not for her, but for those she had to deal with. "To me, someone who hasn't spent the time to experiment with what they can and cannot do with their powers is a fool."
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad then cleared her argument up by saying "I meant actually having more than one power, that thing where you think I'm a psychic? I'm actually projecting myself at another place, whether in your head or 3000 feet below in Devirath's temple, and who thought I could imprint stuff into other people?" suddenly, she laughed and said "I remembered one time Alrus swung his scythe and hit the ground, barely missing some lucky fool, and made people think that some old person had powers"... GreyCat
"Misdirection, honey," Lillian commented quietly, with a small knowing smile. He slowly twirled her finger, watching her barriers dance in the air in response to her promptings. "That skill is vital for our kind, whether it be for getting what you want, or for turning suspicion away from yourself. God knows I've do it more times than I care to tell." She sobered a bit. "And if certain ones among us have their way, misdirection may become a necessity. There hasn't been any major conflicts in our live time, and human nature doesn't allow that to last long. I can tell you this for a fact honey, something is stirring, and Kaden isn't the only one who has less than pure methods. A time may soon com when we will have to choose sides, more so than we already have." Lillian sighed. "Listen to me, going on like an old hen." She shook her head. "You know Vlad, I think I might like you." She dropped her barrier seat, at the same time covering the area with a micro-g bubble floating gently. She took Vlad's hands and smiled, pushing gently off the ground, and taking Vlad slowly into the air. "Tell me, little priestess, have you ever flown before?" Big Bad Pennar
Vlad replied "Using my own powers, yes, but as my own corpereal Self, not at all, She felt unsteady as the bubble she was in started to float, almost falling flat on her ass, As they left the ground a little, The Scythe on the ground Disintegrated into a mist, He felt that there was no need for it as she won't threaten her, Vlad frowned as she wondered about the guardian angel she saw back in the hideout, which reminded her, She spoke and said "I never had a good friend, most people had made fun of me before I met Alrus, and now, most people fear me because of Alrus's tendicy to react to even the slightest threat to me, whether emotional or physical... I remember some other super making fun of me, If it wasn't for me, He wouldn't be with us right now..."
