CrystalCyae
Piper adjusted the strap of her bag awkwardly, walking tentatively into Volkerheim High School for the Academically Gifted. She always felt out of place amongst the brainy ones, especially when she was so clutzy. She pulled her jacket in closer around her, blinking a few times. Being able to see, even after a year, was still strange and wonderful. But when amongst those bratty snobs from higher levels, she felt like she was blind again; Eyes cloaked with the shadows of hate and smugness. It made her sick. As she walked past a particular group of snobby annoyances, one called out. "Hey Grandma, want help up the stairs?" His friends chortled, but Piper ignored them. She didn't have time for them. She was already late as it was. Announcements rang across the school courtyards, one after the other. "Ivona Clawyu to the office immediately." "Anthony Parick to the office immediately." The same sort, over and over. It was odd, but then again EVERYTHING about this school - to Piper, that is - was weird and strange. As more such announcements rang, Piper shuddered, hurrying along so she wouldn't be too late. She heard that the Order were coming that day. Did they know what she could do? Distracted, she slipped and fell face first into the floor with a thud. Just outside her classroom. What good luck
TotalObelisk
Chryl raised a curious eyebrow almost as soon as Kyle mentioned the order searching the school for children with abilities, like them. She cast a quite glance up and down the corridor to check nobody was listening before looking back to Kyle. "Are you sure about that?" She asked once Kyle mentioned he thought they could trust them "I don't particularly like the idea of being rounded up for whatever reason, least of all by people like them." Cheryl made it no secret that she hated large organizations and 'the Order' was probably on her bottom 3. Before she could continue another announcment came over the loudspeaker, this time for Cheryl herself. She felt a pit open up in her stomach and sighed. Whatever means they used to detect a person's abilities they sure as hell didn't need to use it for her, she was probably the only person she knew with abilities that radically altered her physical appearance and, while most people assumed her hair was dyed, she had a hard time explaining away her other features. She resigned to her fate and waved Kyle goodbye making her way to the office as instructed, taking care to keep her injured hand out of sight. Within the span of a few minutes she opened the door to the office and stepped inside, giving the two agents a cold stare each before sitting down. GreyCat
"This is why I say you're creepy, cou- ah, Vlad," Keith grumbled irritably. "That trance trick of your that reads minds is almost as bad Alrus." He clenched his fists, then yelped as the spikes on the choker, which he kinda forgot he had, jabbed into the soft flesh of his palm. He stifled a curse and swung his hand out, canceling the copy with more flourish than necessary; the offending accessory bursting into gray-blue dust that faded away as it slowly drifted to the ground. "I've heard of you doing that trance thing a couple times. Is is your power?" he asked, gingerly sucking at the slightly bleeding punctures in his hand. "Or just a side effect of your thing with sir spook-a-lot? (and I'll have you know that terror is worse than fear, so there. Damn, this is worse that I thought, maybe I should try making some bandages or something,)" he continued to lick his wounds as the blood kept flowing fairly freely, muttering to himself under his breath. The speaker can on again, and the scratchy voice called out another name. He pointed at the closest speaker with his uninjured hand. "Didn't they call you earlier? Ow! damn gothy spikes! Why you still here?"
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad giggled and said, "That 'trance thing' as you call it is my power, but both Alrus and I call it 'Dream seeking', however, I did not know of this power until Alrus entered my life on the brink of my de-" at the moment, she interrupted herself to look at Keith's bleeding hand, she sighed and pulled out a roll of bandages and gave them to him when Keith asked about the announcement, she then said "If there is one thing I can't stand is strangers, before school started, Alrus told me of 2 strangers wearing black suits entering the school... and before the announcements, I saw the commotion in the principal's office, for that reason..." she scoffed and sat down on a nearby bench... GreyCat
Accept bandages from her? He had really fallen. The whole point of sneaking out of class was to get back as her sir spook-a-lot for his repeated affronts to his pride and honor. To accept less would be conceding defeat to the arrogant earth-bound spirit. But, on the other hand, his hand hurt. And the bleeding was getting difficult to control. Besides, [s]Cou[/s] Vlad wasn't the one at fault, it was the stupid ghost. No need to blame her for her partner's crimes. Of course, this debate took place in less than a second, and he all but snatched the bandage from her and set about wrapping his wounds. After a few seconds, he muttered, "Thanks" He sat cross-legged beside her on the bench, so he could get a bit more height, gingerly testing the work of his bandage job ad brooding quietly before responding to her statement. "dealing with strangers is more or less what live is all about -ouch, too hard." he winced a bit as his flexed his hand wrong, then continued. "Only a small part of life is dealing with familiar faces. And the more you try to focus on them, the less likely the number of familiar ones will grow and the strange ones will keep coming." He waved his hands vaguely to encompass the school in his next point. "Take school for instance. You may never know all the students here, but if you only talk to the same three friends and don't make an effort to branch out, no one else will ever talk to you in return, and just like that- SHIIII!!! Okay, that was stupid," he winced, tears springing to his eyes. He had somewhat lightly bumped his fist into his injured palm, forgetting about it again, to illustrate his point. Blowing softly on it, he went on in a kind of strained tone. "Just like that, -ow- you close yourself off from the world, and -ow- that door isn't easy to open."
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad frowned and said "to be truthful, I only have a single friend... Alrus himself, I owe him my life for saving me years ago..." She started to remember that day of the pact, she then explained "it wasn't just the students at this school that had made me want to just kill myself... I was abused by my dad... and my mother..." she just paused, it was obvious she did not want to continue this conversation, she stood up and said "Thanks Keith... I believe I'm perhaps being called for matters involving those 2 people, but I really don't know until I find out, would you like to perhaps come with me?"... GreyCat
Keith blushed. Truth be told, he didn't have that many friends himself either. Mostly just a lot of clients. But that little story of hers… that could prove to be promising. Still, he seemed to have roped himself into not quite welcome, but not quite unwelcome situation. And one he didn't really want out of. Between relating with Vlad and Alrus, there were too many conflicting emotions for him to sort out right now. He glanced at said angel of death and shuddered. He pushed up from the bench and gathered the scattered remnant of his dignity, ignoring the throbbing from his hand (he had to use it to balance because of his sitting posture. He really hated his little compensating tendencies at time.) Adopting as haughty an attitude as he could with his wounded hand his blush, he nodded. "Since they are bound to call me sooner or later, I may as well save, them, some time. Ow. This will never heal it I keep this up." His attitude slipped a little as his dismissive wave aggravated his wound, but he smiled a bit. "And after my speech, it would be bad manners to leave you hanging." Techi☺
Kaden sat in the empty bench in the abandoned Cathedral. It was dark and mystic, and the city had forgotten it. His friends were alerted to meet up here at the base of opperations. Rain pelted the night's roads and the Cathedral's well made cieling. The place has been well cleaned up, and renovated. Kaden was just happy that it was far away from the city with no roads leading to it. Common folk wouldn't be able to find this place if they tried. Kaden's well-relaxed smile didn't seem to change at all as a soft gold light grew up and around him. His hair floating in the self-made breeze, his door-man uniform looking some how better with this strange power. He waited in silence, his glowing light didn't seem to be fading any time soon. Big Bad Pennar
(> I kinda vote against the time skip at this moment XD <) Vlad went to back to the Principal's office, A bit shy, She decided to gather things from a distance, that is until Alrus coaxed her into the office by taking off ahead of her, more likely than not Scaring both the Agents flat on their butts, She giggled and said "Now now Alrus, There isn't any sort of need to scare them, Now We need to figure out what they really want..." She closed her eyes as an astral projection left her body, She shot towards one of the Agents with the intent of entering his mind and seeing what their intentions were... Techi☺
(Flash back scene between Alrus/Vlad, and the Agents. This will happen along with the time-skip. After this scene the time skip will be official.) Manny has seen scarier things, and Tryon was more than prepared for Vlad's little rush at his mind. Tyron used his power to trap Vlad and Alrus in a mental state of absolute nothingness. With their consciousness being aware of this void in their mind, all they see is never-ending white walls that expand to no end. Using this time, manny stepped forward and decided to put the cylander to Vlad's fore-head to make sure her power came from the Power-Gene and not from her connection with Alrus. To his surprise, the Cylander flashed Green and then died. He frowned as he gave Tyron the thumbs up to allow them out of that loop-hole. "Please excuse us, we were more than likely and inconvinence to you today. But we would like to see you tomorrow. We'll contact you." Tyron gave Vlad the 'Go ahead' look, like she was allowed to leave.

NumberCruncher
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, a man in a devil mask by the name of Mortimer Samuel White searches a dumpster for food outside a cafe's dumpster "Ugh, the racoons got to all the good food before I did!" exclaimed Morty. "All that's left is the burnt coffee beans. Hardly suitable for a man of my stature." Saying this he straightened his back just enough that you couldn't tell he had a hunch if you stood far enough back and squinted. Behind him, a man with a knife edged up slowly behind him. "You," shouted the man with the knife. "Hand me your money and I won't have to use this!" With that, Morty took the knife from him and cut his own arm off. Then, he removes the mask to reveal only half a head behind it and said "I have a better idea. You give me the money!" With that, the would-be mugger ran away screaming. "Upon reflection," said Morty, "perhaps I should have stood in his way so he would give me his money before he left. This stinks. I guess I'm not getting anything but coffee beans to eat today." Suddenly, he hears an explosion at a nearby bank. "What was that?" he thinks to himself. "It sounds like someone set off a bomb in the bank. Wait a minute! Bomb + vault full of money = MONEY FOR ME!!!" With that, he grabs his mask and runs to the bank.
Hunderas
Jared pissed off at the agents for never calling him into the office was walking downtown. He knew that there was supposed to be a meeting today but decided against it. "Hmm, how can I get back at those retched Agents?" He said out load. When an idea came to him. "I'll join there little 'gang' and then when things get boring BOOM I'll blast those damn agents in the back. HAHAHA!" "Mommy what's that strange boy doing?" "Don't make fun of others no matter how strange they are." Jared heard all of this. He continued on his way to the meeting spot and the only person there was a girl. "Hey my names Jared, Squirrel!" Jared chased after the squirrel leaving the girl behind.
CrystalCyae
Thalia shuddered slightly as rain thundered down around her, soaking her thoroughly. She didn't mind rain, even in large quantities. But the forgotten cathedral she was meant to appear at was eluding her. Ugh. She didn't need to spend more time around townsfolk than necessary. She put on an innocent smile, and walked up to a passerby. "Excuse me." She asked, voice dripping with her persuasive powers. "Do you know where the forgotten cathedral is?" The passerby looked a little startled, but pointed in the general direction that lead out of town. Thalia smiled, then asked if she could "borrow" his umbrella. Hesitating for a moment, he handed it over, leaving himself to the full brunt of the relentless rain. Thalia walked away, amused by her gifts. Almost. She twirled the umbrella, spraying water behind her. "It's not right to think like that Thalia." A soft voice hummed. Thalia sighed and twirled her umbrella again. "Don't ignore me sister. I don't want to have to smack you with a staff." "Then don't." "Touche." The voice's owner materialized, and Thalia hid her relief. Granted, her brother (or the guardian angel he'd become) was a goody-two-shoes and a pain in the rear, but it was nice to have family. Her face temporarily grew dark remembering her family. Tyler didn't like it. Thalia was going to the abandoned Cathedral, a place he'd rather not go, since it was his final resting place, and due to the cathedral being forgotten, he somewhat suspected he'd still be there. Hidden in some dark corner. Good god. He watched as the cathedral came into sight, and how Thalia sighed with relief. He understood that. His feet were killing him. Sometimes, he wished his wings would work. Easy transport. They walked inside, and Thalia lowered her umbrella. "Hey Kaden. I'm here." She smiled. Tyler noted it wasn't fake. Then again, she was more comfortable around her bad guy buddies anyway. Fun for him, since he wasn't sure how he felt about it.
Techi☺
"Thalia. Where did you get that umbrella?" Kaden asked in his polite voice, somehow incenting the demonic feeling he'd give off. His voice was closer to intelegent and bright rather than polite, but it had a little of both. He rested back against his bench's back-rest as he released a calm breath slowly. He was relaxed, and his face had almost appeared to be sleepy. But, somehow, his eyes still give the look of torment. This torment was what Kaden swears to avenge. "The bank will be open in roughly 2 hours. As the sun rises. We'll be there to cause some chaos and take the money. Who knows what else we might run into..." He tried to toss a curiosity feeling to Thalia. Younger people seem to be better motivated that way. Kyle awoke late that morning. But since he wasn't at school, he was sure the agents will drop by to pick him up shortly. They were supposed to meet with him. John, Michel, Manny and Tyron were all in the large stretch limo as the picked up the kids one by one. Greeting them and dealing with them with polite manerisms. They picked up Kyle last as they drove quickly inward to the city. Manny's voice was the most inspiring of the group and he was handsome. The kids would probably listen to him more so he got the kids' attention and spoke. "The is getting robbed as we speak. I know you're all probably in your early morning grogginess... or a little too Hyped for school and about to get sick... But Wouldn't it be awesome to be Heroes? Besides, if you like your powers the way they are now... Practice in combat will only make them get stronger. I'd know." Manny, and his clothes, quickly became invisible, and re-appearent. King of Games
Claude let out a small yawn. He snapped his fingers against his cheek, releasing a tiny electric spark to jolt himself awake. He had spent most of last night staring at the ceiling while laying on his bed, absorbed in his thoughts. Claude was one of the first to get picked up by the Order. He came prepared when the limo arrived in the morning, his pockets contained scraps of metal in various forms: coins, paperclips, thumbtacks, staples, nails and short screws. He decided to wrap bandages around his hands and brought a small gym bag with some bigger metal items. He thought about how he had acted yesterday. He resigned himself to not be that weak again. Today he was ready for a fight. Claude looked around the limo now, he saw a few familiar faces and some that looked like they were from the privileged high school in town. He thought about Manny's words. "A hero, huh?" He was then caught a bit off guard by Manny's demonstration off powers, as well as a bit impressed. "If my powers were stronger, I would be able to get whenever I need." He took his phone out of the gym bag and saw he had a few unread texts, He knew they would be there, he had listened to it ring during the night. He ignored them as he had before and sent Alicia a text. "Day 1".
Techi☺
Tyron Smiled a little at Manny's power. It was a little while since they were permitted to use their powers. He still isnt sure if he's going to get in-trouble for using his powers the other-day unauthorized. He rubbed a hand against his finely smooth-shaved face. His eyes be-fell the young boy next to him. It took a second, but Tyron remembered the boys name. "Is it... Claude? Your power revolved around metal... Am I anywhere close?" Tyron offered a Motivated smile. The non-creapy kind that you might see a teacher give to a student. John chuckled lightly from behind the dirver's seat. He got the idea that Manny must have used his power as a motivater for the kids, just by the few gasps he heard after that leading speach.
Big Bad Pennar
Vlad grumbled as the events turned around her, first she heard an explosion, then the next thing she knew, she was Kidnapped by the 2 agents from yesterday, but not only those 2, but add 2 more agents and a bunch of the other kids, to make matters much worse, but she felt some surges of energy, she recognized it and her face filled with dread, she thought out loud "oh lord, how would I explain this to Alrus!?", she closed her eyes, she frantically left her body as a projection, she needed to find what's going on, she tried to dive into an agent... King of Games
Claude put his phone away and addressed the man sitting beside him. He hadn't met him yesterday but he behaved in that same way of trying to be reassuring. "I can see why you think that. My powers are actually electrically-based, but I find using metal as a medium more effective. without it, all i can mange are these little sparks." Claude snapped his fingers a few times, sparks shot out of them but quickly fizzled in the air. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the first thing he could feel, a paperclip. "But with it I can do a bit more." The metal paperclip is his hand began to heat up, it faintly glowed red before Claude turned off his power. "I'll not be accused of being weak." He looked intently at Tyron. This was what they wanted, his help, his power, and it was what Claude would sell. "Anyways," Claude said, returning the cooled paperclip to his pocket. "How much does this job pay?"
GreyCat
"My power is useful and all for getting stuff the easy way," Keith pointed out, "But it isn't the most combat ready one." He wasn't all that phased by the display. He figured the agents would have powers of their own. After all, who else would you send after a bunch of empowered teenagers but a bunch of empowered adults. It would by practically criminal to do otherwise. And invisibility. Cool; yes, awe inspiring at the moment; nope. It they pulled out something like Alrus or that dream dive trick [s]Cou[/s] Vlad pulled off now, then he would be otherwise inclined. Now why did his thoughts keep turning back to her?. Speaking of which, he glimpsed a somewhat familiar vacant look on a certain goth's face. Now what could see be up to? ~~~~~ Anyone looking up and above the dark tree line would have noticed something very peculiar indeed. Drifting at a steady clip over the treetops, oblivious to the pouring rain was a girl, relaxed and reclined like in a soft chair, playing a video game to boot. If someone took a closer look, they would be rewarded with glimpse of some sort of dome over her, the rain sluicing over it as if it had no care in the world, providing an excellent outline, as well as an even fainter outline of a bubble he sat in; the round shape conformed around her shapely bosom like the softest cushion. The girl, her game and her conveyance dropped out of sight and towards the door of the catherdral. "Hullo!" she called cheerily, pausing her game. "Is anyone here? Kaden honey! Yoo hoo!" Techi☺
Michel was calmly resting his head back as he breathed regular patterns and his eyes were shut. He was reverted inside his mind in deep meditation. Inside his mind was completely white like a room. Michel sat in the middle... if there was one. He didn't seem to move till he caught Vlad popping herself into his head. He just stared at her waiting for a reply. His silence wasn't implying any form of emotion, like as if he couldn't talk and he would if he could. But that wasn't the case either. Tyron Nodded at Claude's explanation and demenstation. He grinned, thinking about how much this kid was like his old school-friend Thomas. "You see... What we are doing now is for you. To get you out in the world and allow you to apply your power freely in a manner of helping society. If you're looking for a job in the 'Order'... Well... Thats a different story..." He smiled over at Keith. "Care to demenstrate how your power works?" He exagerated the 'Your' a little to imply that he was talking to Keith. ----------------- Kaden looked back at the newly arivved girl. "Ah yes. I see you've found your way." Kaden spoke in a teasing way. A joke to how smart she was, pretending to imply that he doubted her navigational skills. Kaden stood and walked down the isle, standing before the new-comer. "The planned Bank heist is to take place in about 2 hours. Got any ideas what we should do while we wait?" Kaden's calm voice implemented well with his flat lips. A smile was hard to drag up, near-right impossible. The last time he really smiled, and actually felt happily was when he held his baby brother for the first time. But times have changed, and Kaden feels that he might have to as well if he'll ever be happy.
GreyCat
"Um... sure," Keith blinked. He didn't really want to put himself on the spot, but he seemed to be developing a hobby of doing that lately for some reason. He looking around, casting for something small and unobtrusive enough to create. Nothing jumped out at him, so he improvised. He would create. But something simple; a basic ball. He smirked. Balls. Give them a little show. He clenched his fist (right fist, his left was still bandaged from his mishap the day before, though it was felling a lot better,) and opened it, revealing a small red ball. He dropped in to his lap and cupped his hands over it. His iris both glowed faint silver-blue and balls of different color soon piled in his hands as started spilling over. Pretty soon, there was a multi-colored layer of balls on the ground. "I'm a creator, a forger and a counterfeiter. And I guess I can think of a few ways to make this more combat friendly." ~~~~ Her chair collapsed with a faint pop and she landed gracefully on the ground, here heels hardly clicking against the stone flooring. She smoothed her skirts and smiled sweetly at her gang leader. "It wasn't hard. Just follow the trail of confused people. Thalia was bound to be in that direction. But I just found this really fun game; Angry birds! They are sooo cute!" She let out a little fan girl squee and hugged her game, which was actually her iphone, and did that weird fangirl wiggle thing. "You have to shoot them at these ugly pig heads and stuff. We could play that!"
Piercer of the Heavens
"If you want it to be more combat friendly you should create weapons. Big ones or smalls ones or medium ones." Jaime said to Keith "At least your power is combat friendly, mine isn't." Jaime then reached into one of the pouches and took out a seed. As he held the seed in his left hand, he passed his right hand over it. The seed soon started growing. Within a few seconds a coleus wizard rose grew. "That's all I can do, I see no use for it in combat, but I guess I can figure out something. Unlike yours, your ability far surpasses mine, so you should be happy." Jaime said with joking tone. Big Bad Pennar
As Vlad dived into Michel's mind, she was disappointed, she sighed and said "sorry about that man, I felt like I slept through the past hour and I need a recap about what went on, I need to give an explanation to Alrus before he wakes..." she felt another power surge, telling her that it was too late and that Alrus is now awake --- Outside of Michel's body, Dark energy shot out of Vlad's body and settled on the floor, the energy started forming into the being that Keith, Tyron, and Manny had recognized yesterday, Alrus, He looked around and roared "What the fak is this, I don't even... My powers boring. All I can do is burn crap, although it does kinda fit my personality also." Jared picked up his hand and a fireball the size of a baseball formed in it. "This is about the extent of my power, I can shoot it off about 10 yards." The demon appeared in the middle of the limo. "What the hell?" Jared pointed the fireball at the demon and fired without thinking.
