John leaped from the cab almost before it stopped moving, dropping some notes into the front of the cab. "Keep the change," he told the driver, taking the steps up to the museum two at a time. As he walked in, he checked his wrist, locating the direction in which the signal was coming from. Even here it was rather week, more like it was reflecting rather than an active signal. Still, one single object reflecting that signal was something worth investigating.

He reached the room where his target was, and began to examine the artifacts. Several would be worth investigating in their own right, at some time when there actually was time, but right now he was just looking for one thing - which was rather unimpressive when he found it.

A silvered egg-like object, at least two feet in length, which was labelled as a mystery item found by fishermen and immune to scans. "Well, they didn't have my scanner," he muttered, conducting his own survey. "Nothing? So it's immune to this thing as well? Just what is this thing?" he questioned, leaning on the glass and staring at it.

Isamu smiled. The courtesy of the stranger was...well...not human. Though she may appear human, there wasn't a chance in hell she was one. Isamu then looked at the food, then back at her. "No, no," he said. "It's fine. Just don't expect me to answer right off the bat if I have food in my mouth." Isamu then began fulfilling his hunger. "Mmm...." he said after he finished his first bite. "This is declicious!" he exclaimed. "Far better then anything on Earth..."

Yuri wandered aimlessly around New Domino City, having no idea what she wanted to do or where she wanted to go. She was confused by all this technology surrounding her... and confused was an understatement. Yuri could more than easily describe this place as a whole other world that she'd been dragged into. Nothing out here fell into place.

"Spare some change?" A old and homeless person was holding a cup with not a lot of money inside, obviously needing more than what he had. But Yuri was unsure of what the man meant by change.

"Huh? Oh, err... I don't, um... err," she stuttered.

"Money? Paper bills? Coins? Anything?" the man asked.

"Oh, uh... sorry, I... don't have anything myself," Yuri replied, sighing. Something was amiss in the city of New Domino City. She didn't know what to make of it, but shook her head. This city was leaving her more perplexed than she ever had been in her life.

Itsu chuckled. "Well, when you consider that the fact that these ingredients are imported from all over the multiverse, and prepared with techniques that are also from across the various dimensions, you are most likely having the best burger that could ever be created anywhere. But I'm surprised you are taking this so well. You sure you don't want to ask me anything? At all?"

The scanner did work, showing that the egg was composed of several layers. The shell and most of the egg itself were composed of an arrangement of interlocking medical nanites that had been sealed into an incredibly hard and dense configuration. Underneath that was a special alloy layer around the core of the object that allowed for signals to be sent out to the nanites without making the core's shell "edible". Finally, inside of the core were various bits of machinery and a miniaturized organ system, including a brain, a heart, a mechanical lung, kidneys, and various other systems. Everything seemed to be locked down and in some sort of stasis.

John adjusted his scanner, and suddenly a mass of detail exploded onto the screen of his device. "Much better," he muttered, before inspecting it more closely. The device seemed to be constructed of medical nanites, locked together to create a think dense shell - in fact shell was probably the wrong term, since it extended so deep. "This interlocking is pretty much perfect," he noted, "in fact it looks as though one or two might have been deformed to seal gaps." Further within was what seemed like a proper shell, a hard alloy surrounding the heart of the egg - a miniature set of human organs.

"There's a person in there?" he questioned. "That technology is far beyond that of this time, so when - or where - did it come from. Who do I know who uses nanites?

Isamu's face turned normal, yet again. The smile wasn't there. "No questions," he said. "I don't like them. I've always been one to learn things myself, the hard way. That's just the way I was, am, and always will be. Questions are a bullet to one's pride; revealing a lack of understanding. To gain understanding, one must face there question head on. Though it's not the best logic in the world, it's my logic. And that in itself is enough to get me going. Now then, having said that, this necklace, or what have you...I have to find your past body. Those chances are low. Very low. I can assume since I found this necklace that you were somewhere near the sea. Or someone tossed it into there. Using that logic, that means either your last spot in your past body was near the sea or someone just threw the necklace. I could also assume that you still had your advanced technology on you. The human race is a curious one, and probably grabbed you and shipped you off somewhere for testing. However, there isn't a lot of military personal in New Domino City. The only other place I can think of is the Musem...but that's doubtful too."

After a long silence, Isamu then added, "Those two places are the only places I can think of. First, I'll check the Musem in New Domino City; a lot easier to get into." Isamu hated asking questions, but there was one he had to know. "How do I leave?" he asked.

John fished in his pocket, and pulled out a small device, which he fixed to the corner of the pane of glass in front of the egg. If someone disturbed the device in any way, damaged the glass, or even stood in front of it for too long, it would alert him. After all, whilst he expected the boy, or someone connected to his disappearance. to show up here at some point, it could be some time - insofar as time meant anything - before anyone actually came by, and he wasn't going to stay here for what could be days, or even longer. He wouldn't go far though, just outside and a little way up and down the street.

He began to jog, but didn't get far before he saw a girl apparently confused by the concept of a beggar, which was something he didn't see much. Most people either ignored, gave, or apologised before moving on quickly, not stand around confused, so he approached her. "Are you alright miss?" he asked, dropping a note into a cup, "you seem lost."

"Thank you, kind sir," the beggar said, those words being the last before he walked onwards. Yuri, however, was still lost for words.

"Who are you?" was all she could manage for the moment. Although she was thinking of asking the man a lot more questions, she... really didn't want him to think of her as stupid. Then again, he could aid Yuri in thinking what to make of the vehicles, the roads and especially the high-rise buildings... perhaps even the city in general.

Itsu replied. "The amulet will take you back when you wish to return. However, as I said and you have already experienced firsthand, your journey back will not be pleasant." She smiles, trying to make him feel better. "I only wish there was another way for you to cross the Void as quickly, but there truly isn't. However, I must warn you that you have gotten about a month older than you currently are, and will age another month on the way back. It might not seem like much, but it might be noticeable to those closest to you. You might have even missed a couple of birthdays..."

As the beggar went on his way, the girl still seemed rather lost, asking who he was. "My name's John Smith," he replied, giving a friendly smile. "I suppose you could say I'm a traveller of sorts. I go from place, looking for interesting things." He paused, looking at the girl. "And you, miss, are very interesting. You don't see many people anywhere who seem confused by something that's a common sight in just about every city in the universe," he continued in explanation." So, miss, what's your name, and why would a girl like you seem so completely out of place in the city?"

Isamu nodded at Itsu, both at the understanding of the leaving, and her sympathy to HOW he had to leave. Then she mentioned that time had skipped where Isamu was from. "I told you; there isn't anymore time. And even if there was, it wouldn't matter. I don't affiliate with anyone," he said. "Bonds may make people strong, but when they're gone, you're at your weakest point. Period. Now then, I'll be taking my leave," he said. Isamu began the hole twisting inside out and what-not, trying not to scream (though, considering his circumstances, it would've been understandable). The short, but immensely painful trip was over, and Isamu was back where he was. Dusting himself off, he headed off for the musem. "I hate my directional abilities..."

"My... name?" Yuri asked, still having a hesitant tone in her voice, "I'm Yuri Kandez and... I'm of Aztec... orally? No that doesn't right, I'm sure of it. Let me... try that again. I'm of Aztec... officer? Orifice? Origin? Yeah that's it, I was meant to say... origin. I... I'm sorry, I'm not entirely... facilitating... with the... Amish... landing. I'm not even sure if I... preliterated that right either."

Yuri couldn't believe herself. She was barely scraping through a semi-intelligent conversation with the beggar one minute, and then the next, she was making a fool of herself in front of the man that identified himself as John Smith.

"You must think I'm stupid, I'm sure of it" Yuri continued on, "But... these lands... I... can't see how they could be... common sight. I mean... I've never seen such other-worldly entities in my whole life..."

Aztec?, John questioned, that's not right. The entire culture is gone, and if there are still descendants in this time they wouldn't usually identify themselves as such - and certainly wouldn't be confused by contemporary city.

"It doesn't sound like you're stupid," he told her reassuringly, "it sounds more like you're out of place. Excuse me a moment." He raised his wrist, and conducted a brief scan of the girl. Looking at the results, his eyes widened. A temporal signature? But that can only mean...

"You are out of place," he told her. "This device on my wrist allows me to find out about things, and it's telling me that you're from the past." He paused. "It also means you're not stupid at all - you only don't know about the things around here because when you grew up none of this had been created. Welcome to the future, miss Kandez," he finished, offering a hand, "if there's anything you need, let me know."

Suzumi was now rather irritated. The woman looked back at the table she was playing at earlier, maybe it was time to play with the sore losers again? Yeah, not happening. The Photon Queen realized that anything she could do in here would wind up pissing her off completely in the end. It didn't help that one of the spectators of the duel was approaching her. Suzumi looked towards him, not in the mood to talk at all. "What?" the female duelist asked him what he wanted, demanding he speak up this instant.

Fenik responded though he felt a taken aback a little by her way of asking "Now, there no need for hostility, I just want to talk... About that card you summoned a moment ago..." His expression was gentle but showing a hint of sharp look on his eyes. Ever since you summoned that card, it puzzled me disturbingly. In fact, it raised to many questions of what going on in this era or rather... Eras... He said, "If you're kind enough to tell me that is..."

"...Why do you have to ask? No one in the city can shut up about it." Suzumi spoke in an annoyed tone, because the last thing she wanted to do was be one of the people blabbing on about this topic. "You hear all of it from these loudmouths... you understand the entire situation without even being interested." she added. It was amazing at how loud gossiping groups could be, but it was just plain ridiculous when it got to a point where someone can piece together everything without talking about it themselves. The Queen sighed as her mood continued to worsen...

"I see, so the whole city are hanged with that question, surely because they heard the tales from their own ancestors who witness such events at that time." He speculated. "However it's seem a few of us may know the deeper means of those Numbers than the whole city are ignorant of." Since he observe that time in the shadow, how he had seen they become extinct or rather become ones with the rest of the numbers. Knowing that She's a Photon Queen hence the mean of "Photon" in her name. He'd suspect that she would have even a small link to the past but apparently not. He asked, "Would that situation be that you either knew the reason why the city clamouring upon the card or not?"
