Shaco
Ya know when I saw Skilled Dark Magician, that was my question too. I thought they were some sort of card or the product of the effect of a card
wilson91
Yeah the same with tokens. You CAN get the card at events, but most people use coins or beads or something else.

The Warrior of Hope
Counters are not actual Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Items can be used as counters (e.g. buttons, coins, beads, paper, and more).

The Warrior of Hope
"Tokens" and "Counters" are different. Tokens- Acts as monster cards on the field. Counters- Activates effects, after certain amounts are on the field, or if they are used.

Abstract [Atrocity]
They pretty much summed it all up already. Back when I started playing I thought wehen a card said a "spell counter", I thought it was a counter trap used to negate spells. I looked at cards like armor EXE and thought "how useless is this card? you need to give up one magic jammer each turn"
Axiom_Nor
lol, i use dice, because when there is 1 counter on it, i put the "1" up, then just turn it up to 6 counters, but i don't think i've had anything larger than 6...
