It obviously refers to the first generation "Mighty Morphing Power Rangers"
The green was separate from the regular 5 people team, because he was pretty much created by the bad guys to go against them.
He's like... really baddas, because he can hold his ground against the others together.
Though he eventually joined them, causing the bad guys to stop giving him feedback, and his powers to gradually fade away. So Sordon made him the White Ranger.

Then he became the red one in another generation in the future, and even later on, he became the master of another generation's Power Rangers (sort of like what Sordon was for him once.. if he hadn't died).

Though first generation's Red Ranger left at the middle of the series for some reason, and was replaced by other not-as-baddas one.
Then came back as the legendary Golden Ranger in the next generation.



I must say, I don't really know much of Power Rangers myself either =P
It's not like I watched the show or anything......

No, I dunno anything ^-^" . . .

Also, there are like 14 generations, and not all of them connect. I don't know even half of the stuff.... and I totally didn't watch that in Fox Kids when I was a kid :S
