[/quote] We can have their plan to track Sniffy fail, as in, she finds out about the tracking device, and places it somewhere to mislead them into thinking that's Shadow Wing's base. And after that, Tinker and Starlight would go on the journey with the rest of the mane 6, to find Shadow Wing Aaaand Shadow Wing, now that he knows they tried to track one of his captains, makes them lose connection to outside sources in their journey.
