BTW, I think the awareness of "Cupcakes" by the people that make the show, led them to make some extra effort to clean Pinkie's image. We see Pinkie crying when baby sitting. Pinkie speechless when Spike grew up. Pinkie without arguments against Applejack's broken pinkie promise. Pinkie sweating nerviously when told to tell a truth. A bunch of situations in which Pinkie's almighty image of an invencible murderer from Cupcakes is somewhat broken, . . . . or maybe I'm overthinking things. Though, I think Cupcake's fame alone (and all the fanart and jokes it caused) might have been enough to affect Pinkie's intended image in a negative way when thinking about the actual target audience.
