Well I suppose that depends on what the episode is about. I feel like she could've told the Legend of Nightmare Moon in song. It already rhymes, just make it more rhythmic, significantly longer, and give it background music. It'd be like the Headless Horseman. Except, y'know, without the "man" part.

 

That joke would've been funnier if it hadn't already been done in the show...

That actually sounds like a genius idea, I personally am not one for most of the musical parts from the show, though I would have definitely wanted to hear the Legend of Nightmare Moon as a song.

Pinkie Keen
Secret of my Excess
Mysterious Mare Do Well
Return of Harmony(1 and 2)
etc, in no real order of course.

I'll join in on the topic at hand.

I pretty much agree with Trixie's debut episode's opinion there. It was handled badly. I don't know what experience did whoever wrote it have during some magic show, but Trixie gave them no reason to hate on her. It was all main characters that came across as rude. They didn't even know how to explain why Rainbow Dash was different in a convincing manner "because she's already our friend".

 

Apple Family Reunion is also bad. Applejack is overdid it in such a stupid way. I WANT to like Applejack more, but she keeps doing stupid things while others get more meaningful lessons than "didn't learn anything", "I need to have common sense for assignments given.... again), etc. I knew what the lesson was gonna be the first few minutes into the episode, and it just felt dragged to me. Not to mention the barn has been raised a lot of times throughout the series, and I'd dislike it if at the end of a badly designed event, I had to help with the hard labor of constructing something just for a photo.

 

The episode where Spike becomes a slave. I mean, what's wrong with him? Spike had the image in me of one of the most mature characters in the series. I can't point out exactly why, but I think the dragon code is pretty out there.

 

I can't immediately think of more, but my favorites would be (not in any order):

 

Feeling Pinkie Keen

Ok, Pinkie IS annoying, as a character, and season 2+ has been making her more annoying than funny, but she was among my top in S1. Mostly because of Twilight's annoyance throughout the whole thing. I enjoyed that and some of the silly randomness like the door on the floor when Pinkie said  "beware of doors".

 

I also have both parts of the royal wedding up there. Some of my favorite songs, some epic, some drama, a bit of many things I like, enough said.

 

Nightmare Night

Just because I like Luna a lot. She always makes me smile with her attitude.

She looks like she tries to be delicate and gentle, but she is the type of princess that'd appear in a Konan the Barbarian comic. With phrases like "or the nightmares WILL, CONTINUE!" while raising her fist hoof. The best princess hands down.

 

I don't think I have other really outstanding once... Discord's rehabilitation has me thinking about including it or not. I like Discord, and I like Fluttershy. I'd even dare say I have no problems with their shipping. If Discord is more "good" now, he needs to appear more, at least with background pranks or something.

I'm gone for a couple of days and you guys start discussing the series itself instead of memes, reaction images, comics, etc. I guess I am the problem here.

 

Anyways. My favorite episodes generally involve Fluttershy, or is Sleepless in Ponyville.

 

I will always love Fluttershy (she's mai waifu or something), but she keeps returning to her too shy self. We see several times when she has become braver, more assertive and stuff, but they make her go back to her old self by the next episode, to keep those moments entertaining.

 

Rarity is going up in my best poni ranking (and I totally ship Nightmare Rarity x King Sombra).

 

As I have mentioned before, Rainbow Dash has become a better poni slowly. I didn't really pay attention to those changes until we met Lightning Dust. She's more similar to season 1 RD than the current RD herself.

 

Pinkie Pie has been flanderized. Now she's just there for jokes, songs, visual gags, etc.

The reason Fluttershy does that is because of all the different writers on the show.

Every writer writes her differently.

Some write her as just a bit shy and quiet, others make her super meek and a huge scaredycat, others give her that psychotic edge. Most of the other characters are written more consistently, but the varying writers have no idea what to consistently make Fluttershy.

Wait wait wait, I remember something about that deer.
It was like from an un-aired episode.... Or something.

Anyway, part of the reason I didn't post here for a few days, is cuz' I was partially busy with some junk, and KYM was being slow, and generally, I don't like to post here unless I have some decent info, images to share, or want to join in a specific conversation going on.

Most of those are just great.

Oh, and in the mexican dub, Fancy Pants is voiced by Jesús Barrero, they guy who voiced the childhood of all the latin american kids of the 80's and 90's with characters like.

Oh, and at the place where I take this drawing class, I had run into some guy with a 'Luna is Best Pony' shirt.
I had to stop and stare for a minute to make sure I had actually seen such a thing-
He then stops, and wonders whats up.
I simply say "Love the shirt"- He pauses, to realize what just happened, and is all: "thanks!".
It's like, both of us were the only two MLP fans around for miles(or at least, in that area).

Better question is:
WHY DIDN'T I OFFER TO BRRO-HOOF!?
(Just for lulz, plus we were the only ones in that hallway)

Although, all night, in my head, I was all: "DOOD, MLP FANS EXIST IN MY AREA, OUTSIDE OF TURTLE/ANIME CLUB!"
Which might explain why I drew a mugshot of Slenderman on 1 of my projects, cuz' I was in silly-mode[/spoiler]
