Blueblood is actually Celestia's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great (And about fifteen more greats) grandnephew, roughly 22 times removed. According the writers, at least. Also, Alicorn is confirmed for species, whereas the Alicorn amulet technically didn't prove anything. The episode was absolutely beautiful. Like... seriously, that was the most rushed and underwhelming season finale I've ever seen. They could've at LEAST dragged it out with the group trying to find her. As a notable example, After Rarity is restored, Art of the dress is mixed in, and I think after pinkie is restored, It's Smile, Smile, Smile. Posted February 18, 2013 Report Share Posted February 18, 2013 Found this over on KYM:Anyway, from a random conversation with Sleepy from earlier~She pointed out that the Elements being mixed up, was similar to how Discord reversed the personalities of the main 6, and that Discord's version was still the incomplete result.Looking back on said conversation, and trying to remember everything- You make an Alicorn from, basically, combining your 6(well, 5) into a single force; Discord could have used random animals/other characters as a test subject for trying this spell on himself, and became the randomized appearance that he is due to it failing....
