According to the word choice and description of the episode, seems like a dick move to turn back on your own relative and bully all to be accepted and conform. In my mind, she has lived in a repurposed chicken coop since her mother died. She listens to the records of his father, a famous singer, who doesn't know she exists. She'll go search for him someday. That reminds me of this great and hilarious fanfic.
