It's an inevitable curve in creativity that all shows must go through eventually, I suppose, but it always seems to leave me a little disappointed. Other than that, the episode was great. You can't really say she was busy on the other side of the world keeping night. If that was the case they would never even see each other, and they DID join forces in past fights (Discord). Celestia loosing killed something inside xD Funny how in Twilight's flashback of her adventures with the new princess, the pony that that princess enchanted is the pony-self of one of the people that work on the show. Î’yakuya Posted April 21, 2012 Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 Well since everypony is posting stuff about the special without spoilers and assuming everyone watched it, I shall now explode with comments. -Colgate and Lyra had speaking roles and were somewhat part of the plot. -The photo shots at the end were totally relative, becoming canon, or ship worthy. -I liked the new villain. Her looks and style were close as Nightmare Moon and it was quite creative in my opinion. But the show needs some more male antagonists. -Spike playing with the models on top of the cake parallels to shipping. -Twilight and Shining Armor in the past is cute, her arguments over him seem somewhat incestuous. -Letting some of the favorable BG ponies and D3-P0ny have appearances is totally fan service. -Kissing lip to lip is now canon. -Fighting is now canon. -Cadence slightly had more screentime than Luna. Despite having minor cameo appearances, I'm glad she at least talked. -Pinkie Pie's returning party cannon and fighting style is hilarious. -Shining Armor and Twilight parallel somewhat to Byakuya and Rukia in Bleach. -Dashie and another Sonic Rainboom made my day even more. Surprising she can do it so easily now. Also, Best X ever is now her catchphrase. -Pinkie Pie is made out of party stuff and confetti. -Surprising also how the Elements of Harmony weren't used to save the day. How Shining Armor and Cadence were able to defeat the villain seemed romantic. -Twilight is now relative to the Royal Family; Let's see how that plays out in the future.
