Aside from people who didn't come back and the one Marik guy, I don't think we have a villain. If we do, I don't think we have that many.

Aside from the paradox that is iCherry's character, we need to work on a way, if we are going to do psyduck's idea, to make it actually look right. If we can't do that then it will end up being like the meshed plot lines of other rp's.

Well, aside from that Marik clone, who may or may not have been accepted and may or may not be evil, one (until Reina's arrives). I had the only villain the last time around, because I created one when there weren't any.

 

 

Keeping the plotlines separate and organised would be more down to planning here which sub-episode each character is in, and then noting at the start of your post (or section thereof for those with multiple characters) which sub-episode that section is relevant to. That way you don't have people trying to force their own plots or force themselves into someone else's, and whilst you may have plots mixed up there's 2+ clear plots you're cutting between, rather than a mess meaning you can't work out who's where. It also means late entrants will come in at a logical point, rather than suddenly showing up at more entrance exams later as several did last time.

Of course it all still depends on the number of participants AND if we can actually make it look right in the first place, because we may know that they're separate, but what others coming in to see the rp itself. Perhaps we should create two different in character rp's to do the job?

just an idea. Perhaps in order to enforce the distinction between the two in the rp we should simply give each post a different header? I would suggest different text color but that's used to distinguish between characters more often than not.

how about at the begening of the post just put the episode number and either A or B

so it would look something like this:

and the post would go beneath this line. To me this seems like an easier way to do it and it would be easier to keep up in you're side of the posting.

I apologize for my statements in my RPs, but I feel like I need to address this, Raiko.

I guess the reason I'm mad is because I feel like you are introducing too many new concepts.

As I have said before, things on YCM are different than they are on other forums, like Gaia.

All this talk about episodes and evolving decks and other stuff is just a bit too much for me, and I feel like I have to go on the defensive, because I feel like the things you are proposing are destroying the original mission of what I intended to do with "Spirit Chronicles".

When I approached this RP to revive it, my only goal was to take what Supreme Gamesmaster said in his review and use that material to do this RP correctly.

I wasn't looking for this to be a springboard for new ideas and concepts (for this forum).

Just a good, old-fashioned Duel Academy RP, but a damn good one.

One that doesn't create new ideas, but does what Justice Master tried to do: take an idea he liked and improve on it.

Is that too much to ask?

I'm... gonna agree with Reina here. I joined before this died just because it was nice and simple. Then you came and started introducing... episode formats and whatnot. You pretty much started taking over as a Co-Leader too. I guess I'm the only one who had a problem with that because it came out as controlling to me.

Before we renovate, Raiko, I have an offer.

I will allow you to moderate this roleplay with me, meaning that you make sure no one is breaking the rules, but you will not be the one working on the content.

You may make suggestions on the plot and characters, but not about the format, like trying to impose an episode format on us.

If you wish to do this, you are more than welcome to create your own Yu-Gi-Oh! RP and experiment with your techniques.

I do wish to keep you here, as I cannot rebuild the plot on my own, and our combined experience should be enough to keep this RP alive for a good amount of time.
