Personality
Tetsuo although only 16 has quite a good understanding of different people’s personas, he can often judge them just by their body language and facial expressions. Tetsuo is often thought of as strange upon a first meeting with him due to his numerous quirks/habits. It is rare to see him in a displeased mood or angered, he always retains an upbeat attitude full of optimism. Although Tetsuo is a good judge of different people’s personalities, he does get confused very easily with quite simple things, and often asks people to either repeat themselves or ask someone else to explain things to him.

Tetsuo does often get on people’s nerves but it is generally drowned out through his kindness and giving nature. Tetsuo believe in life and allowing many to live, they say that is his main flaw in becoming a samurai, his ability/curse to be so merciful. Tetsuo adopted this sense of mercy through the Head Samurai, although many others in his clan believe in death before disgrace. Tetsuo has many dreams and hopes, he will often push himself to achieve new heights and get closer to his goals.

[*]Tetsuo loves to lean on things or hang off of steel bars or roof edges or sit on high places, he is often referred to as “Saru no ou” (King of Monkeys)
[*]Tetsuo, when observing someone’s character will bring his face within inches of the others and observe them carefully.

[b]Bio[/b]

Tetsuo grew up in a standard home within the Shimosaru clan. A small clan which although powerful, lacked in strength compared to various other larger clan members. To combat this disadvantage the head samurai of the Shimosaru clan and the Mizutokage clan arranged a meeting about the possible unification of the two clans that were situated in the same region only a few miles apart.

[b][Clan History][/b]

The clan was situated in a frost covered area and shared a region with the damp wetlands of the Mizutokage clan. The history of Shimosaru clan dates back own right, they once came together to form a single clan with the Mizutokage clan adopting the name “Soyokaze”. The clans’ main focus in both their abilities and sword art surrounded the element of Water and Frost.

The 2 clans seemed to coincide quite well learning from each other and improving their skills allowing for hybrid offspring to master the usage of Frost and Water, however after the decision of the Head Samurai clan to be that of the Mizutokage clan, he rejected the use of Frost within the clan and ordered for the erase of Frost element Sword Art. His main reason for this was that he believed that the frost element was to unstable of an ability to manage and that it would severely weaken the now large clan’s defences against hostile groups.

After this decision the 2 clans decided to separate, the Head Samurai of the Shimosaru clan believe that complete mastery of both Liquified Water and Solid Frost was key to the clan’s survival, however after the separation he decided the clan would only study the frost element as not to start a war with the Mizutokage clan, who would claim they stole their hidden secrets entrusted to them when the 2 clans joined.

The Seperation of the clan took place 15 years before the present date, they were together for 10 years before the 2 clans split. After the separation the apprentice clan member of the Mizutokage clan assassinated his Head Samurai after mastering both Frost and Water elements secretly and illegally practicing the two. The two clans were then at war with the apprentice samurai taking over for as the Head Samurai.
It is at this present day that the 2 clans separated by a few miles are now at war however neither attacks unless provoked.

Due to the coming together of the two clans in the past Tetsuo’s father was of the Shimosaru clan and his mother was originally was of the Mizutokage clan, her and her brother. After the split of the two clans Tetsuo’s mother stayed with the Mizutokage clan and his father stayed with the Shimosaru clan, Tetsuo was only 1 when this happened and was taken with his father to their Shimosaru village.

His mother was in much distress over this and claimed to hate her former husband, her brother couldn’t bare to see the pain his sister was in.

Over the next year the two clans were in argument over both the separation, the assassination and the “kidnapping” of Tetsuo. The Head Samurai of the clan took much interest in Tetsuo as he may have been a “Hybrid” child from birth, one who could manipulate the usage of Frost and Water together. On the second year anniversary of the 2 clan’s split a war broke out.

[b][The War of Frost and Water][/b]

The 2 clans were even in man power and both had formidable samurai’s willing to fight for their village and way of the samurai, as the war continued a confrontation between Tetsuo’s father and mother occurred. The 2 however couldn’t bare the thought of fatally wounding each other and a compromise could be achieved.

Seeing this Tetsuo’s uncle misunderstood the situation and fatally wounded his father, believing his sister would now be able to obtain custody of her son. Full of sadness Tetsuo’s mother rejected the existence of her brother and requested to join the Shimosaru clan, this was immediately rejected by many clan members, all except the Head Samurai of the clan who allowed her stay within the village as the only water user (other than Tetsuo)

[b][War of Water and Frost End][/b]

After Tetsuo turned 10 (to this day he wasn’t told of his father’s death) took up a great interest in becoming a samurai and learning their village’s Sword art and Samurai way. After frequent training in basic combat with a sword, Tetsuo was selected by the Head Samurai to be his apprentice. The main interest the head samurai had in Tetsuo, was that he was a hybrid child and his former vision personified. He believed that when Tetsuo once mastered the 2 elements, and surpass him, that he may be able to re-join the villages.

After turning 16 Tetsuo had learned a lot from his sensei and continued to train long and hard to master the two elements and his own sword, he has a good grasp on Frost element but struggles in Water manipulation.
