Yu-gi-oh! Spiritual Duels [IC Thread]

Just before the attacks from Alec's monsters could connect, every single hologram from both Duel Disks vanished. Leroy was admittedly perplexed; he didn't expect either Duel Disk to die out on the two of them like that at all.

[color=#000080]"Alright, just what the hell is going on?!"[/color] he asked exclaimingly.

As if to answer Leroy's question for him, a series of alarms blared all over the place, and the entire theme park was sealed off from the outside world. Within seconds, streams of gas were blasted into the facility. It was only a matter of time before everyone inside succumbed to the gas and fell into a deep sleep.

Seto was quick to note that the security programs within KaibaLand had been activated. What he was blissfully unaware of was that the security programs had been used against the people inside, at least until he decided to investigate things for himself, only to be shocked at what he saw. There were 58,059 casualties, and amongst them were Seto's own children.

[color=#ff8c00]"Damn it!"[/color] Seto shouted, [color=#ff8c00]"How the hell could that possibly happen?!"[/color]

Vigorous keying of data didn't seem to help at first, but after a while Seto was making some lead way into the case, finally concluding that the security programs had somehow been hacked into.

[color=#ff8c00]"I'll find that bastard... if it's the last thing I do before I die,"[/color] Seto jeered to himself.

Meanwhile, the bodies of a number of duelists, presumably everyone that was around Leroy and Alec's duel, lay on the ground. Super Conductor Tyranno and The Creator were standing by, talking amongst themselves.

[color=#daa520]"Don't you think you've gone a bit far with this plan of yours, milord?"[/color] asked Super Conductor Tyranno

[color=#008000]"It was inhumane, I know, but it was the only way of bringing the chosen ones into this world," [/color]The Creator answered, before turning his attention to the sleeping duelists at his feet, [color=#008000]"You may wake, now."[/color]

[Super Chaos Sonic]

Alec sat up with a yawn. [color=#000080][b]"Uhh...man what happened....oh yeah the duel!!" [/b][/color]he said as he leapt to his feet and looked at his Duel Disk. But to his surprise, The Shining, Great Tornado, and his other face-down S/T card weren't on the Duel Disk. [color=#000080][b]"Huh?! Oh man...now I'll never get to finish that duel with Professor Crowler's grandson. Man this sucks badly!" [/b][/color]Alec said crossing his arms. He stopped and then looked around and came to a final conclusion: They weren't in KaibaLand. [color=#000080][b]"O-OK...where did KaibaLand go??"[/b][/color]

[Mecha Love]

Aero was the second up. In a second he was on his feet, assessing his surroundings. He wasn't pleased with what he saw. Nothing made sense. He, his sister and the other duelists were in the middle of a dark woods, which was obviously not where they had been before, KaibaLand.
[color=#0000CD]"Damn"[/color] he muttered, followed by another [color=#0000CD]"Damn"[/color] for good measure. Then he noticed Alec was awake.
[color=#0000CD]"What the hell is going on?!"[/color] He demanded, but abruptly looked down to see his sister unconscious at his feet. He got onto his knees and cradled her head in his arms. [color=#0000CD]"What is going on?"[/color] He asked Alec again.

[color=#000080][b]"Like I know dude..." [/b][/color]Alec replied, not knowing who this kid was. [color=#000080][b]"One minute I'm dueling Crowler's grandson and about to have Great Tornado and The Shining attack him with guns a blazin'...and next thing I knew I'm wakin' up here. And the cards I had on the Duel Disk on the playing field aren't there..." [/b][/color]He sighed and then reached into his deck box, checking through it. [color=#000080][b]"Odd...everything is back in here, but I didn't put them there..."[/b][/color]

[Grunt Issun]

Jake sat up with a yawn and stretched his arms, and looked around, [color=#DAA520]"Hmm, that's weird" [/color]Jake said to himself and shrugged, and looked over to another two people who had woken up and where wondering what happened, [color=#DAA520]"My best guess is that we were all sneak attacked in the middle of when we were all just at KaibaLand, by a secret evil organization, then they put our bodies in freezer pod things to preserve us so they could mutate us and make us work for them as super soldiers, but their device malfunctioned and caused their base to explode, but the pods were unharmed, and now it's 1000 years later and the world is in an Armageddon, and our pods were smashed open by various natural disasters that are tearing the world apart, and now we're the only ones left, and we have to try and survive for as long as we can in the post-appoclyptic world" [/color]Jake suggested, [color=#DAA520]"Or something completely different, mmnnmm" [/color]he shrugged.

Aero scowled. [color=#0000CD]"I know that. I was watching. And a little more respect wouldn't go amiss now would it? After all, I AM a kaiba."[/color] He looked a little smug, but was otherwise preoccupied by his sister. He knew he was acting coldly towards Alec, but he didn't care. All that was important to him at that moment in time was his sister, and knowing where the hell they were, and how the hell they got there.
[color=#0000CD]"At least try and do something useful instead of moaning about your disrupted duel. You can do it another day, can you not?"[/color]
Aero checked his watch, the hands weren't moving and the seconds weren't passing, on the clock anyway. Then he heard a silent roar from the distance.[color=#0000CD] "God. Can ANYONE explain what is going on?!"[/color]

He then looked at the next person to wake up. [color=#0000CD]"How about... No? We don't have times for such fantasies and idiocy. Lets just get on with the facts and then find a way to get home!"[/color]
Again with the cold attitude.

[color=#000080][b]"W-Wait....your Seto Kaiba's kid??" [/b][/color]Alec asked, his jaw now dropped. He just talked like that to Seto Kaiba's son...WHAT WAS HE THINKING?! [color=#000080][b]"Um, sorry...I'd like to apologize for me actin' like that. I didn't know you were the son of Seto..." [/b][/color]he said, scratching the back of his head, nervously. [color=#000080][i][b]Just please don't tell your dad...I'd like to remain a duelist as long as possible... [/b][/i][/color]Alec thought, thinking of the worst possible outcome if the kid told Seto Kaiba.

[color=#DAA520]"The Kaiba kid is right" [/color]Jake nodded, it barley even phasing him that he was a relative of Seto Kaiba, [color=#DAA520]"I doubt us four were the only ones who were sent here. Their must be others close by..." [/color]Jake told the two concious ones, [color=#DAA520]"Like whoever you were dueling" [/color]Jake said, pointing at the guy who was complaining about not finishing his duel, [color=#DAA520]"And that one girl that was watching, and that guy who was also watching" [/color]he kept listing off, [color=#DAA520]"I think we should either look for them, or find some sort of shelter, or something like that so we don't die from rampant wild animals that would want to eat us" [/color]Jake told the two,[color=#DAA520] "I personally think that we should find those guys first, besides, I feel like it might be a bad idea to leave people behind" [/color]Jake decided, then turned his head away, [color=#DAA520]"I thought the idea was possible" [/color]Jake muttered to himself.

Aero then nodded approvingly. [color=#0000CD]"Step one done. Passion for dueling and realizing mistakes. You may just be on my good side." [/color]
He then looked around at the other unconscious duelists.[color=#0000CD] "Help them, as much as I hate to say this, but since none of us have a clue, we might have to work a bit closely in this. I'm not leaving my sister either."[/color]
He nodded towards a blue haired girl, he knew Alec knew. [color=#0000CD]"Help your friend there. I suppose you know her anyway, and I'm not going to ask questions just yet."[/color]
He looked up at the sky, noticing that they were in fact in a small clearing, with the silver moon directly above them, bathing them in silvery light. Then he saw a shape so huge blot out the moon, and for some reason it looked like a dragon. An awfully familiar one at that.

[color=#000080][b]"You mean Amy Anderson? Yeah...gotta make sure she and my little bro Ray is alright." [/b][/color]Alec said as he ran off to help Amy and Ray up. [color=#000080][b]"Rise and shine you two...not the best place for a nap." [/b][/color]He smiled as he saw them starting to wake up. Alec was glad that Ray was waking up, mainly cause he didn't feel like trying to explain to his parents why Ray was unconscious. But...he was also glad Amy was waking up as well. Only Alec, Neos, and Winged Kuriboh knew this, but Alec did happen to have a crush on Amy...just the fact of he didn't tell her it yet.

[color=#DAA520]"Amy... Anderson..." [/color]Jake murmured and looked over to her suddenly something clicked, [color=#DAA520]"Wait wait wait! Anderson as in JESSE Anderson? The famous Crystal Beast user!? That cute girl is his daughter!?" [/color]Jake knew it might have been far-fetched to automatically assume that, but considering she had blue hair, and how much she just happened to look like Jesse Anderson, he thought it was very possible, [color=#DAA520]"And then you said you were dueling Dr. Crowler's grandson!?" [/color]Jake asked him, surprised, [color=#DAA520]"And you're... like... Mokuba Kaiba's son right?" [/color]Jake asked the other one a little hesitantly, not knowing for sure if he was right.

Amy found herself waking up to Alec standing above her. She groaned as she tried to get up, but found that she was in a bit of an awkward position and had twisted her ankle. [color=#FFA07A]"Ow! What happened? Where are we? What the hell is going on?!"[/color] She looked pleadingly at Alec, as her mind went through a hundred different thoughts on their current situation and the pain in her ankle. In the end she gave up and flopped back to the ground, as she was unable to get up. She smiled a bit awkwardly. [color=#FFA07A]"A little help?"[/color]
[i]Stay cool Amy. Everything is fine, nothing is going wrong. All just a bad dream, well maybe except Ale- Not THAT now! [/i]

Deep inside Amy's mind, her dark version stirred. [color=#FF0000]"Oh god, what now?!"[/color]

[color=#0000CD]"No, Mokuba is my [i]uncle. [/i]Seto is my father. And at the moment, you're starting to irritate me, so stop babbling for just 1 second if that is at all possible! I'm trying to think."[/color]
[i]First off lets find out where we are, then find means to get out of here and back to KaibaLand.[/i] This is too strange for my liking and I'm not in the mood for this.

Alec smiled and then put Amy's arm over his neck and helped her up to her feet. [color=#000080][b]"Yeah, this is Jesse Anderson's daughter...and I was dueling Crowler's grandson." [/b][/color]he said replying to Jake's question. He turned his attention back to Amy and saw a little bit of debris on the ground and then gently sat her down on it. [color=#000080][b]"You going to be alright Amy?" [/b][/color]Alec asked, scratching the back of his head, looking at the ground. He didn't want to look right at Amy's face, cause he'd start blushing instantly.

[color=#FFA07A]"Just about. Thanks Alec."[/color] She answered blushing. She wouldn't look directly at Alec either, she was embarrassed about how hopeless she was, managing to twist her ankle now, of all times. Especially in front of Alec.
[i]I must be a mess [/i]She thought to herself, and despite the situation, giggled silently, so that only she and those close to her, like Alec could hear her. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw Alec looking away too, which made her blush and giggle more so. Slowly, the impressions she thought of this place were seemingly melting away. She worried nothing at that moment, nor did she feel any pain in her ankle, until she hit it on the stone she sat on, which brought a tear to her eye, as the pain came back and the moment lost.

Alec saw Amy hit her ankle on the stone and then saw her tear up. [color=#0000FF][b]"A-Amy...please don't cry..." [/b][/color]he said quickly as he reached and checked in all his pockets to find a handkerchief or a tissue to hand her. After a couple of minutes of searching, he finally found a handkerchief and quickly handed it to her. [color=#0000FF][b]"H-Here ya go..." [/b][/color]Alec said, before looking away again. [color=#0000FF][i][b]Dude...you look like a loser. Just tell Amy how you feel...and HOPE she doesn't think your weird for saying it... [/b][/i][/color]he thought.

Amy accepted the tissue. [color=#FFA07A]"Thanks a lot."[/color] She said simply, dabbing her eyes to get the tears out and rubbing her ankle, although it wasn't exactly helping to say the least, in fact it hurt more, but made her feel a little better.
[i]Amy you fail! He must think you're some sort of loser, the way you're acting. He's just doing the nice thing, doesn't mean he isn't thinking that inside.[/i]
Finally, Amy wiped the tears out of her eyes, though her ankle was sill killing her. [color=#FFA07A]"Trust me to do something like this and mess up."[/color] She said aloud, although she didn't mean to.
[i]Just tell Alec how you're feeling, a HOPE he doesn't think you're weird for doing so...[/i]
And at that moment, both she and Alec thought the same thought.

Jake was simply awed at the fact that he was around the descendants of so many famous people, but shook that feeling off when he realized that Amy had hurt herself somehow, [color=#DAA520]"Alright, well we should probably all try and calm down for a bit and rest, where ever we are, we probably shouldn't be venturing out in the states some of us are in" [/color]Jake told the group, moving closer twords Amy and Alec, [color=#DAA520]"And those sounds don't sound very comforting, since we don't have anything to defend ourselves with, I mean it's not like we can just throw cards at animals to kill them, so we're pretty helpless as it is right now." [/color]Jake thought aloud, [color=#DAA520]"So let's just sit down and think of how to make sure we don't get eaten."[/color]

[color=#0000FF][b]"Um...thanks for that...helpful insight..." [/b][/color]Alec said rolling his eyes. He looked back at Amy and smiled a little. [color=#0000FF][i][b]You can do this Alec...your Jaden Yuki's son...you got this in the bag! [/b][/i][/color]he thought, before clearing his throat a little. [color=#0000FF][b]"A-Amy...look um...we've been best friends for a while now and...well..." [/b][/color]Alec stopped and rubbed the back of his neck. [color=#0000FF][b]"Ya see the thing is...I-I-I've kinda had a huge....crush on you..." [/b][/color]After he finally said it, he quickly turned his head away, it now turning bright red.

'Oh my GOD!' Amy thought, nearly jumping for joy, despite her twisted ankle. This was a typical 'cute schoolgirl moment' and Amy loved the feeling. She forgot everything around her and every bad feeling she felt.
"Yes!" She cried. "I... I do too" Amy confessed. "And I do love you. I have done for a long time, but I was waiting for you to ask."
Amy began to blush uncontrollably and giggled girlishly, to see Alec's reaction. Her dream had come true. This couldn't be a nightmare, as long as she was with Alec.

"Rubbbby" came a spiritual cry of glee from Amy's Deck. The girl smiled. "I'd wondered if you were there ruby."

Leroy stretched for a bit, before getting up to his feet the second he stopped. He then noticed that Alec and Amy have fallen in love with each other. A smirk was on his face as he watched the two 'love-birds in action', so to speak.

[color=#000080]"So you two have a crush on each other, huh?"[/color] Leroy asked smugly, [color=#000080]"Nice. Good to know love can bloom in the most random of moments. Now, if we can focus on finding out how the hell we got here, please?"[/color]

He then scouted his surroundings only to note that, out of the tens of thousands of people that [i]weren't[/i] watching Alec's and Leroy's duel, or participating in their case, only Aziel Ishtar was present in this world. Leroy looked to see what looked like The Creator slightly in the distance. However, the being could merely be a cosplayer for all Leroy knew.

[color=#000080]"Hey, orange guy!" [/color]Leroy shouted, in an attempt to get his attention, [color=#000080]"Mind telling us what the hell's going on?!"[/color]

[color=#008000]"I am The Creator, for one,"[/color] The Creator's voice boomed back, [color=#008000]"And for two, I would rather everyone be awake before I reveal the reason why you were all summoned here. It is an important message that..."[/color]

[color=#000080]"Everyone practically [i]is[/i] a...!"[/color] Leroy intervened, before realizing that Ray, Aivea and Aziel were still unconscious from the effects of the sleeping gas, [color=#000080]"Oh right, Kaiba chick's still down... so's that badger and the random guy..."[/color]

He then turned to those that had recovered, and shrugged his shoulders.

[color=#000080]"Oh well, we don't have any better ideas," [/color]he stated, [color=#000080]"Let's just shake the hell out of them 'till they conceive."[/color]

Alec was happy as well, hearing that Amy had the same feelings for him. [color=#0000FF][b]"Wait, wait, wait..." [/b][/color]he said as he heard what this guy claiming to The Creator. [color=#0000FF][b]"You're The Creator? As in Duel Monster??" [/b][/color]Alec asked the man. He snapped and then rubbed under his nose with his index finger. [color=#0000FF][b]"That would leave only one thing of what this place is...a place my father told me about ALL the time. We're in the Duel Monster Spirit World! Am I right, Creator dude?"[/b][/color]

[color=#008000]"Yes, you are indeed inside the Duel Spirit World,"[/color] The Creator stated, [color=#008000]"You should all be receiving your Duel Spirits by now."[/color]

[color=#000080]"In that case, where's my one?"[/color] Leroy asked.

[color=#8b4513]"ABANDON SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiii..."[/color] Leroy looked up, to see an Ancient Gear Engineer falling from the sky, what looked to be millions of feet up, although it wasn't likely to be that high, [color=#8b4513]"...iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!!"[/color]

All of a sudden, the Ancient Gear Engineer literally came crashing down into the ground. Leroy cringed and gritted his teeth at the impact that the poor machine must've felt, knowing that if any human were in his shoes, the result was bound to be fatal.

[color=#000080]"OoooK..."[/color] Leroy said in a hesitant tone, [color=#000080]"Sorry I asked,"[/color]

[color=#008000]"Relax, he should be fine,"[/color] The Creator reassured him, [color=#008000]"He has survived falls like this before,"[/color]

[color=#FF0000]"Ruuuuubbbbbyyyy!" [/color]Came another cry. Amy was already rather awed seeing the creator, even more so finding out they were in the Duel S[pirit World. She knew it existed, her Crystal Beasts had always had a way to communicate with her, and her with them. It ran in the family, or well, two people in the family, since the Crystal Beasts were born. She didn't try and hide her shock.
[color=#FFA07A]"This keeps getting stranger and stranger...."[/color] She muttered.

Meanwhile, Aero was pacing up and down. Then he turned to the Creator. [color=#0000CD]"So, if we REALLY are in the Spirit World.... How do we get out?! We can't just be stuck here, can we?!" [/color]
He looked down at his deck, half expecting all his monsters to jump out of it. He;d already seen his Blue Eyes White Dragon fly overhead, and that was rather worrying. How did Duel Monsters react? Could they die in the Spirit World? And who was his Duel Spirit the Creator had mentioned? All of these questions were hurting Aero's head, and it wasn't helping that his sister still hadn't regained consciousness.

Alec smirked and said,[color=#0000FF][b]"I already know my Duel Spirits...Neos, Winged Kuriboh!! You can come and show up now!!" [/b][/color]As Alec finished his sentence, flying towards him was E-HERO Neos and next to him Winged Kuriboh. They both slowed down, before coming to a full halt, standing next to Alec. [color=#0000FF][b]"And since you two are my Duel Spirits in this world...Ray will probably have dad's other Duel Spirit..." [/b][/color]Alec said, smiling at his two spirits.

[color=#808080][b]"Correct...Yubel has made a return here thanks to your brother Ray..." [/b][/color]Neos nodded, crossing his arms.

[color=#8B4513][b][i]Kuri, Kuri! [/i][/b][/color]Winged Kuriboh smiled, seeming happy.

"More than one of us can see spirits you know." Amy smiled, tapping Alec on the cheek. "Its just a surprise, thats all!" Then at hearing the spirit of Neos say 'Yubel', her eyes turned red for a second and her hair colour darkened. It could have been a trick of the light, but it wasn't. Then, the petite girl shuddered and her eyes and hair went to normal again after just a few seconds.
"I don't know why, but I'm wary of Yubel. I cant explain it, because I don't understand. It just feels wrong."
She looked over at Jay coldly. "Yubel... no wonder I dont like him," Amy muttered under her breath.
