Desmond watched as the man disappeared and suddenly saw him next to him. He quickly unsheathed his blade and just barely blocked the attack, but being pushed back as he did. "You...your one of those spineless warriors who sided with Gandrake!" Desmond said, quickly remembering the face of the man that threw away his honor to serve that snake. "How can you call yourself a warrior when you just throw you honor as one away like it was some kind of toy!?" He rushed towards him and made his blade clash with the mans, causing sparks to fly off from them. "ANSWER ME!!!"

Doug looked out the window at Desmond and the corpses, as well as the strange man. "Damn...and I thought I was violent."
Doug turned away and walked towards Koru. He slapped him on the back. "You'd better have a plan. I'm not ready to-"
A gunshot rung out, and he watched as Koru redirected it. He looked at his own holsters. "That still won't help you if you face me sometime..." He mumbled.

"A king with 3 queens asks himself, what is of 'worth' in this world?," Michels blade struck Desmond's and the metal rung as the swords slid past each, "The first queen answers, it the wealth of nations. The king feeling this answer has a value so he brings together the wealth of the kingdom. Afterwards, he still feels empty and sentences the first wife to die. " Michel moved to strike again, his black edge came down vertically, "The second queen answered now, the power of kings and armies," his sword was blocked and came back. Michel slide back, "The king explored this idea also gathering together hi forces from across the land and seizing smaller nations... still he felt unfulfilled. And killed the second queen." Michel charged, "Lastly, the third wife approached. She was different, of commoner birth, she motioned to speak to the king." Michel swung, "The king had her speak, she said the true value of worth comes from living in the first place. The king was confused," Michel backed off and lowered his weapon, "There is no honor, only the value of life is what matters in this world. Now, I am not here to fight you! I was only seeing what kind of person you are. In combat do you understand a person. Now, TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER!," Michel yelled flinging his arm outwards.

Desmond backed away and heard everything that this man was saying. Though it sounded like he was speaking in riddles...but Desmond didn't care at all. "By leader...you mean the rebels leader..." he said before having his blade rest on his shoulders. Desmond took his hand and ran it through his red hair and then glared at the man. "The leader of the Rebellion, is I, Desmond Strike....also known as The Stray Wolf. So instead of just finding someone from the rebellion....you found it's leader." Desmond looked around and then noticed a small bridged overhead near where they were. He was going to use the Spear Gauntlet and launch it over there to propel him away from here...as soon as he was able to.

"Convenient," he said plunging his sword into the ground sticking it in place. He knelt to one knee, "My name is [s]Robert Paulson[/s] Michel Terance, I am loyal right-hand of Gandrake," his eyes looked at Desmond, "I have come to make a proposition". Michel rose, "I have been given authorization by Gandrake for total control of forces regarding the rebel situation. Surely, we can come to some kind of agreement here." Michel reached into his jacket, "I have plans that I thought we could agree about since we obviously won't get agreeable end to the violence. However, I will call off all offenses on your positions if you agree to these conditions." Michel handed off the paper to Desmond, "It lists details for a tournament, a proper one, this will give you a chance to leave alive and take some hopes to vengeance while allowing me to spare men's lives in an open battle. Our best versus your rebels, agreeable, yes?"

Desmond looked at Michael and then heard the terms he was given. "The right hand of Gandrake? And we just simply agree to those conditions? Yeah right...." he said, rolling his eyes. "How can I be sure you won't change your mind and when we agree to this, your snake of a boss kill us where we stand? If you really want to negotiate with this...give me some kind of prove that you won't back out of this promise. If you can't, then I will have to turn this offer down and take my chances." Desmond was surprised he spoke like this...it was said with courage and he was starting to sound like a leader himself.

"We will back out of the financial district so only officals and vendors be allowed in, we will surrender all facilities in district to your faction for the duration of the tournament until we win," Michel grabbed the grip of his sword. "I will prepare the area, all merchants will be avalible for basic repairs and supplies as well as open terrain for proper combat," he put the sword on his back. "Or, you could stay here and I could focus every living soul in this city down to strike this puny force asunder, but mass bloodshed is quite distasteful." Michel pulled out another piece of paper and placed it on the ground, "That is the number for my connection, if you agree to this please reach me at this number at any working terminal in the city." Michel moved his arm in front of him and a shadow engulfed him as he vanished, "Farewell for now," in blackness that soon faded

Desmond thought of the ultimatum that Michael gave him, before disappearing. Seems like we don't have a choice. he thought as he used his Spear Gauntlet to grab the side of the bridge and pull him up from where he was at. Desmond ran on top of a few building tops, until he reached the place where the other rebels were at. He dropped down and landed near them, before starting to say,"Alright....we have something. A guy named Michael just gave us an ultimatum..." And with this, he proceeded to explain everything that Michael had mentioned to him to his rebellion. "Well....what do you all think?"

"Well, obviously, I don't trust him." Doug slid his hand along the blade. "You know, with the whole 'Disregarded all sense of honor' thing? Any invitation anywhere could be a trap." He set his sword on his shoulder. "But then again, what choice do we have?" He thought to himself for a second, before his face lit up with an idea. "How about this. Find a way to stall that guy Michel. By doing that, you'll be able to buy us some time for my next idea!" An excited grin formed on his face. "Sabotage. You heard me. We need to strike at Gandrake and his cronies while they don't exactly know where we are. A preemptive strike, one might call it." His grin instantly faded. "Ooh...I forgot about this. I wonder how we are going to get the correct amount of explosives to cause major damage...please, don't let me take up all of our time. Anybody else have an idea?"

"The only idea I have for this...is to accept the offer." Desmond said turning around. He heard mumbles and the warriors talking amongst themselves about what he just said. He sighed and then looked up at the sky. "Look, I don't wanna trust this guy either...but if we trust him, we'll get that district as our new base and we'll be able to upgrade our weapons and get medical attention if needed. You may think I'm going crazy, but I'm being realistic here. If nothing else will work, we have to do this one...I'm sorry but my mind is made up."

"Yeah about that..." Koru added sheepishly, "That... actually was... part of the plan."

He had to admit that he was foolish to run out there like that, even if he didn't expect the sniper to be there. Remembering to take cover behind the wall, he peered around the corner, barely seeing the sniper being located on the rooftop of a two-story house in the far yonder. Koru assumed the sniper to be kneeling, figuring there was no way he'd 'stick out like that' otherwise.

Koru motioned for Douglas to stay where he was, before walking over and leaning on a nearby pole. He stood still, to allow the sniper to think he had a clear shot, and waited. By the time a second gunshot could be heard, he vanished. In his place, however, was the sniper, who got shot in the head with his own bullet. Koru allowed Douglas some time to examine the corpse before switching places with it again.

"Howzat?" he asked.

Meanwhile at the south exit, Terra whipped out the 'Land Crusher' and dispatched all the horseman's guards with little effort. They didn't have a chance against her, and some of them tried to flee, but had little luck doing that either.

"You were saying...?" she asked mockingly. Pissed off about this, the horseman immediately called for back-up.

"*Sigh*...alright, fine. At least this way, I won't be responsible for everything going wrong, right?" He peered over at the hilt of the sword over his shoulder. "Besides...I'm been thinking of new ways to upgrade my blade." He swung his sword around for a minute, imagining the new ways he'd be able to cut down Gandrake with the new upgrades. He stopped, and looked at the others. "Uh...answer me this. Am I too happy for us being stuck in this situation?"

Desmond didn't answer Doug, but he just simply walked away from the group and pulled his cellphone out. He took the card that Michael gave him and dialed the number up. I really hope I'm doing the right thing here...if not, I've screwed up more than just my life here... he thought as he brought the phone up to his ear, hearing it ring. "Hello...Michael was it. Its The Stray Wolf..." Desmond said, quickly as he heard the line pick up on the other end. "The choice has been made, we're in. Now get your people out of the district that we'll be staying in."

Then, a smoke appeared before the rebels, in which The Prodigious Thunder's blade shows. Kayne White then enters the scene before introducing himself. "Hey, fellas. I'm Kayne White... The Prodigious Thunder... You guys are rebels, yes?" said Kayne before picking up his blade. "What are your names...?" he asked, then he looks around him, especially Desmond Striker who has just been answering the phone. Kayne starts by sharpening his 2nd Century Samurai Blade, then puts his blade away. He then looks around the district, thinking of what he was supposed to do, then thought to himself "Gandrake.. I've heard this guy before... I need to see him as soon as possible, if not..."

Desmond looked over at the newcomer, who said his name was Kayne White. He seemed energetic and full of spirit, that would be helpful in this little tourney. He moved his cellphone away from his mouth and said,"Desmond Striker, the Stray Wolf....I'm the leader of the Rebellion. Its nice to meet another one of us..." He brought his cell back to his ear, waiting for Michael to say something. It doesn't take this long to reply to a cell phone call...what the hell is taking so long??

(OOC: Yelling at OOC me through IC you is for cool kids.)

Michel was orchestrating a variety of crews through the main street; people were all over polishing up storefronts, vehicles with moving supplies for vendors, bulldozers leveling terrain. Michel had gotten off the phone with Gandrake earlier who was both upset and amused that Michel took his words so literally but he accepted the idea. He moved over to a bench and sat down the sound of construction rang everywhere. He noticed his line was vibrating. He quickly answered the phone, "I appreciate your patronage for our lovely resort and your reservations are all in order. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Machina." He hung up quickly, "ALRIGHT GUYS! TIME TO GO!". He motioned everyone to leave and sat back down on the bench waiting for them to show up.

Desmond quickly hung up the cell phone and put it away. "Alright everyone...they're preparing for our arrival...let's go." he said as he began to walk off, having the rebels all follow him to the district. I really hope that this moron isn't trying to make us drop our guard and then melee on us when we're completely unguarded... Desmond thought, gritting his teeth. If it is...I'll have to put my life on the line to make sure these people are safe...its what a leader does.

"Alright," commented Doug, as he cracked his knuckles, "My gut instinct is telling me that a trap is imminent. I could be wrong, but we can never be too sure. In the mean time, lets do this thing!" He swung his left PM-63 in the air, and barged after Desmond, in a triumphant way. He pulled out his Sword Launcher and stuck his sword in, cocking back the mechanism and attaching the chain to the hilt. "Hmm...maybe I should have attached the chain first..." He mumbled to himself. He fired the sword in the direction of the district. It stuck itself into the side of a building up ahead, and he activated the reeling method. He quickly was yanked towards the building, gliding through the air, keeping himself suspended and centered by pushing ELECTRONS at metal objects around him, adjusting his position every now and then.

Kayne quickly follows Desmond, but then thought to himself "My samurai blade... Will this be of any effect against Gandrake? I'll need to figure this out, somehow..." he then said to Desmond "This district, hopefully isn't gonna be full morons... I'll keep an eye on those guys" before he runs to the front and gets into assault position. "Move on, everyone! I'll see you in the district!" while he heads straight for the district, whilst looking out for anyone unusual. He thinks to himself "It's all clear, but somehow.. I sense evil, but I don't know what it is.." but carried on anyway. On his way to the district though, he blade was snapped in half without him being aware, then the blade cut his right arm. "Ugh! But, how?" he shouted while he patches up his arm, and heads back to his clan. "That's a pretty neat scar..." Kayne thought to himself.

Doug collided with the up ahead structure. He cringed upon impact, tensing his leg muscles. "Augh...I'm still not used to such an impact..." He looked around the area. For being a construction site, the area was rather quiet, with only a worker here and there. He looked towards the base of the building he was on the side of, and spied Michel on a bench beneath him. "Aha! Just what I was looking for!" He examined what the bench was made of, and determined that among the wood, there were iron supports. "Hmm...I don't use this ability nearly enough, so I might as well." He focused toward the iron supports, and lifted them, the bench, and Michel up to where he was with relative ease. He leveled the bench so that he was looking at Michel right in the eye. "Hey there, buddy. Bored?"

Michel was unphased and swinging his legs in mid-air, "Well, aren't you the showy one". He jumped down, "A simple, 'HI!' or 'How do you do?' would have done fabulously. Maybe a kind, 'Hi sir, would you care to tell me your name? Mine is insert name here'. No? But you had to lift me up and be all cock-eyed show off 10-year old with a new toy. I swear, I don't get payed enough." Michel looked over Doug's shoulders, "Wheres Mr.Demon-D-whatever leader?" He looked at Doug disappointed and placed his hand on his hip and the other over his face, "Look, the areas clear. You got merchants moving in and the bathroom is upstairs, down the hall, second door on the right. I'll organize a roster for the tourny, the sooner you guys are dead the better."

"An a******, are we?" Doug smirked at Michel's obvious distaste for him. "Desmond is farther back. I managed to get ahead before everyone else. Anyway, thanks, I guess." He lowered the bench back to the ground, and yanked his sword out of the wall. He began to fall, but began to hover right above the ground, before he let himself down. He detached the chain from the hilt of his sword and brushed himself off, before sitting down on the bench. "You may as well wait for him. He's slow, but not THAT slow. I have a feeling he might want to talk to you anyway." Doug said, as he began to clean the tip of his concrete coated blade.

Koru had to admit that he was sceptical about this man that was now accompanying Doug. He decided that he'd keep an eye on him on the meantime. But he couldn't help but suspect that the man wasn't to be trusted.

"Do we have to keep this douchebag alive?" he asked himself in a whisper.

"Could've asked you the same question," Terra showed up just a few meters behind Koru, "Anyway, I've been thinking... I wanna join the rebellion with you, so um... the both of us can watch over each other,"

"Really? That's great!" Koru exclaimed happily, hugging Terra before the two of them started kissing each other for a bit, stopping before either of them could get too far into it, "So what've you been doing lately?"

"Nothing much, just kill a random group of guys, stoned a cavalry..." Terra could've gone on. After all, it had been more than an hour since she and Koru had been together, so one would expect she had plenty of time to fill in.

Desmond finally arrived with everyone else and stood in front of Michael. "Well don't be disappointed when we don't die..." he said with a slight smirk. Desmond walked past Michael and then into one of the rooms and put his blade down and laid on the bed, watching the ceiling fan spin. "I'm gonna have to put all my effort into these next few battles...my life as well as the rebellion's lives are at stake here..." he said sighing as he closed his eyes.

Doug watched Desmond walk away after saying only one thing. He looked back at Michel and shrugged. "I guess he didn't want to say very much. Anywho, we'll be seeing you on the battlegrounds." Doug looked around for a second, before finding one of the street vendors. "Ooh! I think I might be able to get something neat out of there..." He mumbled.
