Yu-gi-oh! Spiritual Duels

It's been 5,000 years since the Shadow Games of ages past, which were played with real monsters and real magic, have ended. Pharaoh Atem has already sealed the monsters into the stone tablets, intent on saving mankind from the worldwide destruction that would ensue otherwise. However, he was blissfully unaware that one of those tablets was slowly, but surely disintegrating into nothingness. It was only a matter of time before the event would pass.

After all these years, the stone tablet that previously contained The Supremacy Sun finally crumbles, allowing the duel spirit to roam free for the first time millennia. The Supremacy Sun celebrates his freedom by arranging a meeting with the other evil duel spirits, on how best to exact revenge on humankind. One excuses itself to boot out an unwelcome Watapon, unaware that the Watapon has already caught wind of the events considered to take place.

The Creator instantly receives the information from the Watapon, and has to 'borrow' some of the humans to fight The Supremacy Sun in the duel spirit world, before he can threaten mankind once again in the human world. Various other duel spirits have offered to aid the humans in the quest, but will human and duel spirit alike be able to thwart The Supremacy Sun's plans? Or are the humans doomed to total annihilation as can possibly be conceived?
You know the standard YCM Rules. I shouldn't have to display them. But if you break them, I won't hesitate to give you two strikes instead of one.
Any arguments must be solved quickly, or all offending personnel will be striked
OR if the argument is with either me or ED, the OTHER offending personnel will be striked
You MUST let either ED or I know if you're unable to post/decide to quit due to any RL issues. Otherwise, keep as active as possible, I'd rather have this RP come to a true end.
Also, know that we'll be duelling Deck Master Style. For those of you who don't know how this style works, please click this link before you even THINK about signing up.
Other than that, have some well-regulated fun... the best kind

This spoiler is pretty much proof that I'm keeping an eye on all candidates here. And no, I'd rather not see any names up here... in all seriousness. But if you break a rule, your name will be up here with a strike, and if it already is, an additional strike will be added. Oh, and if you bìtch about being on the watchlist I will NOT hesitate to throw in another strike for you. You have been warned.

Key:
Strike 1: Meh, I'll probably just shake my head and wag my finger at you
Strike 2: You must pay me a +1 Rep before you continue. If you don't, we move on to Strike 3
Strike 3: A temporary ban from the IC Thread that'll last for 24 hours. Break the ban and it's on to Strike 4
Strike 4: Congratulations, you've officially pissed me off. Your reward: A 72 hour ban from both IC Thread and OoC Thread alike. Push it just a lil' further to Strike 5... I dare you.
Strike 5: That's the last straw! Permaban from the RP followed by a report to the mod

Notes: Last time I said all this, you may have noticed that I've been a tad lax on short-posting, mostly because the short-posts I've encountered were all accidental. Because of this, from now on, only the 3rd short post and onwards will actually "count" as offences and will be striked accordingly. But doesn't mean to say to get any ideas.
None, let's keep it that way :D

Name:
Gender:
Age:
Dueling Skill: (You can choose between Newbie, Bad, Average, Good or Excellent. And no I don't want all characters within one rank, least of all Excellent. Your humility's on the line.)
Personality: (4 lines minimum. With any luck from your end, this limitation will stop your character from being an object and make him or her more of an actual person.)
Appearance: (You can throw in a pic or manually describe your character's appearance. If you do decide on the latter, then I'll need a minimum of 4 lines.)
Bio: (Needs about 8 lines for a good bio. And no, 7 lines worth of words followed by a measly few words for the 8th line won't cut it! The 8th line should be at least up to the end of this sentence. Speaking of which, no pressing Enter after each sentence either. It's another cheap way of getting 8 lines that I won't allow.)
Deck: (No need to waste time on decklists; I'm fine with just the general idea.)
Ace Cards: (Can't your Deck Master. Apart from that you have free reign.)
Deck Master: (Must be either a Normal or Effect Monster, and cannot be custom. As an added limitation, its Level cannot exceed 10 and the sum of its ATK and DEF cannot exceed 6000. If you wish, you may alternate between up to 2 Deck Masters, but you must PM me or ED for our consent first.)
Effect: (Either copy and paste the text from the wikia or make your own effect. If the monster you've chosen has already been a Deck Master in the anime, you must use the effect that the anime has given to the monster. Gender: Female
Age: 15
Dueling Skill: Excellent
Personality: Of course, all teenage girls have their mood swings. But Aivea's emotions react more like a pinball; one instant she can be happy for example, a while later she's angry, and then only seconds later she's in a state of shock. All in all, Aivea's a total drama queen, and this shows in her duels. She can't help but act up when something doesn't go according to plan, even when the whole purpose of the duel is to have fun. Aivea is adamant that she has no control over her emotions, and is obviously still traumatized by Kisara's death.
Appearance:

Bio: Having learnt everything she knows about dueling from her father, President of KaibaCorp and dueling extraordinaire Seto Kaiba, it was only natural that Aivea has sky-rocketed to become the best female duelist in all of Domino City. She's even more than capable of defeating Mai Valentine and Rebecca Hawkins. Aivea tries to enjoy the game, but can't help but involve her emotions into every single duel that she partakes in. After all, the only reason why she started dueling in the first place was because one of the cards she has in her current Deck, Medium of the Ice Barrier, reminds her so much of her mother Kisara, who unexpectedly lost her life to hypothermia 7 years earlier. Kisara meant so much to Aivea. In truth, she's been caught several times trying to commit suicide just so she could be with her mother in heaven.
Deck: Ice Barrier. Does have other Ice-themed cards such as White Night Dragon, Cold Wave, Frozen Soul and Frozen Fitzgerald, just to name a few.
Ace Cards: The "Ice Barrier" Synchros. You know the ones <_<
Deck Master: Medium of the Ice Barrier
Effect: Neither play can draw cards while "Cold Wave" is in effect. Effects that would normally require an additional "Ice Barrier" monster on the field can be activated immediately. Once per turn, while your opponent controls at least 4 more cards than you do, you can Special Summon 1 "Ice Barrier" monster from your hand, Deck, Graveyard or Banished Zone. Your opponent can only activate 1 Spell or Trap card per turn.

Controlled by: Elemental Dragon
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Dueling Skill: Excellent, he's a Kaiba after all.
Personality: Aero Kaiba is less of a self-centred young man as his father but more of a serious, intelligent one. Instead of being rash and jumping into things, he'll think them through and go for the most logical outcome. An advantage he has is that, while thinking hard about what he is doing, he does it quickly and effectively. He does the same in dueling; however he never backs down from a challenge. Everything he does is thought through and done effectively, plus to the best of Aero's abilities, which in every respect is high. Aero also expects everything to be done at a certain standard, not accepting when things are done below what it should be done as. He thinks effort should be put into everything so things are done right. With this comes a respect to those who do well. To those who don't however, he tends to get rather annoyed with. Whether this is duelists or anyone else, he will respect them for what they do. This just proves that Aero hasn't got such a big ego from his father, but a lot of personality from his mother, who he was deeply fond of before she died. Even though Aero has a tough, serious outer shell, he can be quite passionate about dueling and he is a very likeable person. He especially cares for his sister Aivea, even though she tends to irritate him. But years of living without his caring mother and living under the wing of his big-ego'd father has toughened him up and made him a lot more serious. Aero is a lot more respected than his father as he can be somewhat kind to those who earn his respect.
Appearance:

Features not seen in picture: Aero's eyes are steely grey and are extremely sharp. When his eyes turn to you, it appears as if he is looking straight through you and gives a somewhat scary but amazing impression.
Bio: Aero Kaiba is the heir to Kaiba. corp, being the eldest child of Seto and Kisara Kaiba. He learnt to duel from his father, the president of Kaiba Corp and possibly the most profound duelist of this age, who after Aero had proved himself a truly capable duelist, gave him the family signature cards; the Blue-Eyes White Dragons. As with his sister who is 3 years younger than himself, he is the greatest male duelist of Domino City and proves it by partaking in various tournaments, not all of which his father organizes. He was given the title 'Child Prodigy' as he was in fact just that. He duels whenever possible, and constantly tries to find the greatest duelists in tournaments. Sometimes he found a few, others none. But he duels in case he does find a real challenge to match his abilities.
Aero often dueled his mother, who played an ice barrier deck, like his sister. These little duels that they had, brought them closer together in a mother-son family relationship. He cared deeply for his mother and when she died, he spent many days and night alone. However, he sees his mother in his sister. Even though she tends to annoy him with her constant mood swings, he can't stay annoyed
with her for long. Because he cares so much for Aivea Kaiba, he is always running behind her, keeping her safe, especially when she attempts suicide. He couldn't bear to let her die as well as his mother.
As soon as becoming a legal adult, Aero became a lot more involved with the family company. He helps his father organize tournaments and aids him with dueling technology. Due to this, he hasn't got so much free time as he had, yet he still participates in tournaments and finds time for all the other things that he does.
Deck: Disaster Dragon Deck. It focuses mainly on Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and Special Summoning high Level Dragons, such as the famous Blue-Eyes Dragons. He has three main ways to use the deck which he either uses one of, or a mix of all three.
The first is simply bombarding his opponents with powerful monsters such as Blue-Eyes Ultimate. This style he uses least and as a last resort, however he is rather fond of his ultimate dragon. The second is Synchro Summoning high Level Dragon Monsters such as Light End Dragon and Dark End Dragon. The final way is summoning xyz Monsters such as Kachi Kochi Dragon and Thunder End Dragon. The different strategies he uses tends to confuse his opponents, giving him perfect chances to crush them.
Ace Cards: Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Thunder End Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, The End Dragons etc.
Deck Master: Lord of D.
Effect: Once per turn, you can perform 1 additional Normal Summon. You must pay 500 Life Points to Normal Summon a Level 5 or higher monster with this effect.

Controlled by: Trimage

Gender: male
Age: 16
Dueling Skill: Average to Excellent depending on whether Black Mist is helping him
Personality: Aziel rarely shows his emotions this is mostly do to the relationship he has with his 'partner' Black Mist who will mock the people he is talking to and pull 'pranks' like making duels do real damage or making people feel uncomfortable. Even with their odd circumstance Aziel and 96 are on friendly terms but that could easily go sour especially with everything in the spirit world. Aziel like to read manga but Black Mist tends to interrupt him trying to find out what is going on and to annoy in in general.

Black Mist

Both his eyes are colored like the right one.
Bio: Aziel was born to the clan of grave keepers who once protected the tomb of the pharaoh who would eventually be known as Atem. Aziel was born with great power but with the pharaoh's journey finished there was no need for his power, when he turned 6 Black Mist sensed his power and investigated it, he figured that the easiest way to obtain it would be to take over the boys body, Aziel fought against his control and his father preformed a ritual to bind Black Mist to his son so it could neither possess him or escape to terrorize the rest of the world. As Aziel grew up Black Mist was always by his side to annoy him and alienate him from other people, though eventually they grew to be something closer to friends do to them always being together and if Black Mist ever wanted to do something he had to have Aziel do it for him do to his intangibility. They were eventually both drawn into the spirit world in a scheme by Black Mist to gain his freedom from the forces that bind him t Aziel but to Black Mists dismay there relationship remained as it was in the human world though now anyone card see Black Mist when only people who could see spirits could see him in the human world.

Gender: Male
Age: 17
Dueling Skill: Average, he's not at his father's level yet. ^^;
Personality: Alec is pretty much how is father was/is. He's laid-back, headstrong, fun-loving, duelist who doesn't hold much of anything against his friends. He loves dueling and believes, like his father, that most problems can be solved by them. In any duel, Alec respects his opponents even throwing compliments they're way, even if he is losing...but he acts like nothing is bothering him when it comes to that. His carefree attitude and lack of thought will occasionally get him into trouble, but it isn't very often that this happens. Like his father, he has a bond to his cards, though when someone insults them, he can get very testy. Alec is also a very loyal friend and will do whatever he can to help them out.
Appearance: Alec is a Caucasian male and he is about the height of Jaden was in Season 4. His hair looks a little like his father's, except it has a few copper streaks in his light brown hair. As for his outfit, Alec wears a black tank-top and his father's favorite Osiris Red Academy jacket over top of his tank-top, unbuttoned like his father as well. He wears dark blue denim jeans with a stud belt around his waist and his deck box on the right side of his waist. He always carries a small backpack with him, which contains his own Osiris Red Duel Disk.
Bio: Alec Yuki was born by his two parents, Jaden Yuki and Alexis Rhodes. He was named after his mother, after Jaden went through a small list of names in his head. When he said, Alex, the newborn boy smiled as if he liked the name. Though when Alec turned one, Alexis divorced Jaden for reasons unknown and she decided to marry Chazz Princeton...one of Jaden's many dueling rivals. With this, Jaden became a single parent and began to teach Alec everything he knew about dueling, when he was grown up. When Alec was ten, he began to see Duel Spirits as his father did, which is when he first met Winged Kuriboh and Elemental HERO Neos. Not long after, the two Duel Spirits decided to become Alec's, when Jaden handed Alec his very own HERO deck. Within seven years, he became a good duelist...although he lost a few here and there, he kept pushing forward and had fun. Now at age seventeen, Alec was told by Neos that something terrible was going to happen...that now it was HIS time to save the world, just as his father did long ago.

Personality: Ray is a hopeless flirt, he has two passions in life and they are dueling and cute girls. He likes dueling girls especially cute ones and will some times draw out duels just for furn, on the contrary if he is dueling a boy he tends to end things quickly especially if they are rude or haughty, he brings out his best skill against strong opponent's who are able to challenge him and push him past his limits but this happens extremely rarely and almost never by a girl which he likes do to the fact he doesn't like being mean to them.

Dueling Skill: Good (Average if not thinking clearly)
Personality: Leroy has a brash attitude and doesn't like to take a great deal of time to think things through. But what he does think through is decisive, and effective most of the time. After all, he thinks best at split-second decisions, and always quotes "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing quickly." Of course, Vellian will always 'correct' him so speak, saying it's worth doing well instead, but Leroy, being the pain in the ass that he always has been to his grandfather, or 'Gramps' as he calls him, opts otherwise.
Appearance:

Bio: Vellian Crowler's grandson, and in hindsight, one that Vellian was hoping he'd never have. Vellian's deck had handed down from generation to generation, with not a single card having been altered or removed in all this time. The minute it touched Leroy's hands, on the other hand, he changed it completely around. Vellian claims that Leroy completely ruined the whole essence of the deck, but Leroy is adamant that he merely brought it up to the times, as he explained how people were starting to use Synchro Monsters and Tuner Monsters, and there was even the odd Xyz Monsters during the current generation. Of course, he didn't like the idea of receiving a hand-me-down deck either, but Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem was too good to pass up, so instead he set his sights on improving the deck rather than grabbing a completely different bunch of cards to whack together. Vellian was far from entirely happy about this decision, but Leroy felt it had to be done.
Deck: Gear Golem Rush Deck. There are also other Machine monsters and other that Leroy added just because he could.

Controlled By: Wandering Artist - Issun
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Dueling Skill: Bad
Personality: Jake isn't a very serious person at all, and will often laugh at himself if he does something wrong. He doesn't take many of his duels very seriously either, even if there is something very important hanging in the balance, which can make it seem like he doesn't care about anything, when in reality, he greatly does, he just doesn't show it very often. He can, however, get very angry and take matters very seriously if anyone or anything harms his friends, and can sometimes take matters outside of just "Card games" and into more physical matters.
Appearance:
Yeah, I just cheaped out with a picture because this app was taking way too long.
Bio: Jake was born into an average middle class family, with two older brothers. When Jake was four, his brothers decided to teach him how to duel, and he immediately fell in love with the game. Despite playing from such a young age for such a long time, he is still absolutely horrible at the game, but can not understand why. When he got into middle school, he would usually play with his friends at lunch to try to get better, usually to no avail, but he would occasionally learn a thing or two that he didn't already know. Jake never really got much into the hologram thing of using the duel disks, and didn't really like to play like that, he says that holding his arm up like that long makes his arm sore, and he's still a little freaked out by his cards appearing full size whenever he uses them with a duel disk. As Jake grew older, he started to become more lazy in school, paying most attention during lunch when he was dueling, though he still hung out with his friends after classes and did things besides dueling, it was just the thing that most interested him. He recently found a card (Ben Kei) in a shop that went along perfectly with his current deck, and bought it as soon as he could, and put it to use right away, and started trying it out to see if it made his deck any better.

She's also extremely social, as to make friends easily, but who could resist her? She's the friendliest person anyone could meet, and the added flirt is also a good bonus. Amy also has a sense of adventure, always wanting to explore the unexplored and try dozens of new things. As well as this, Amy is extraordinarily caring and generous, giving things away to those less fortunate than her. The two main loves of Amy's life are her friends and family, who she is extremely close to and her Crystal Beasts, whose spirits she can see and who's cards have never let her down. She loves dueling with all her heart and puts everything into it. She never backs down from a challenge and enjoys every duel. If she'd lose a duel, she'd never act as a bad sport, instead she would thank her opponent. This girl is truly one to like and one that no one could actually resist or dislike. Except maybe the other inhabitant...

Bio: Amy Anderson, daughter of Jesse Anderson, was always a pleasure. Yet, there are parts of her past she can't remember at all. Just black spots in time, as if something or someone was in control of her body. Doctors said it was just forgetting what had happened, but that was just a usual explanation. All she remembered was getting told off after in her earlier years, though she doesn't remember doing anything sufficiently bad to get told off in the manner she did. Even that was unbelievable, as her parents found her going from bad to good, with no obvious reason and her not remembering anything she did when acting 'bad'. Yet this din't stop her getting her first deck at the age of 5. This deck was a Crystal Beast Deck, the very one her father used. From then on, her personality was much more 'good' than 'bad'. Amy loved to duel whenever possible, pestering her friends and parents to duel her all the time. Eventually, she loved it so much she began entering tournaments. She never actually won any of the 'big' tournaments, although she did win many junior ones. Still, she got respectable placing and her parents were proud. Amy also became good friends with Alec Yuki, son of Jaden Yuki, a long time friend of Jesse. They grew up together, and dueled rather often. Amy always wanted to see Alec and treated him like a brother, cheering him on while dueling, and sometimes they'd even tag dueled together. They were and are a good team. Although, she always seemed wary of his half-brother, for another unknown reason.
Name: Dark Amy Anderson
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Dueling Skill: Good
Personality: Dark Amy is the complete opposite of Normal Amy. She's cruel and horrible, some go so far as to say evil. Her attitude to others is poor and she believes that she is the greatest human alive. Everyone, no matter what titles or what ranks, are inferior to her and that she is the greatest duelist alive. Of course, this is a selfish attitude but she thinks nothing of it. Instead, she just does it more and more. Suffering is her greatest enjoyment, to herself or to others. But mainly others. She spoils the lives of many duelists, beating them first in duels, then throwing away their decks. This is the same for underground dueling, where she and her opponents are electrocuted for losing life points. Watching anyone suffer is enough for her to enjoy.

Bio: Amy Anderson. She was always said to be different, but no-one thought it was this severe. In the past, Yubel had possessed the father of Amy; Jesse Anderson, and even though he was freed by Jaden Yuki, the darkness of Rainbow Dark Dragon lived on inside him. There were no obvious symptoms, for him anyway, but when his daughter was born, that darkness passed onto Amy. It concentrated and created a new personality inside her, a darkened version of Amy. The symptons was indeed a split personality, but instead of 2 personalities, it was 2 souls and only 1 soul could be in possession of the body. So Dark Amy Anderson lived inside Amy Aderson's body ever since she was born. Most of the time, Dark Amy Anderson would take control of the body, since Amy didn't have any sort of immunity to Dark Amy. Yet, when Jesse gave his Crystal Beast Deck to Amy, an immunity did come. The Crystal Beast spirits protected her from her dark counterpart. Dark Amy hated this, and constantly attempted to regain control of the body, but was held back whenever possible. Sometimes she was able others not. It was infuriating for her. She naturally knew how to duel. No-one knows how, but it is believed it is because of some of Yubel's skills, being passed through. Anyway, she knew how to duel and well. She'd defeat most people who were inferior in dueling skills and she'd wreak havoc wherever she went. Most of the time, Dark Amy would enter underground dueling, for the fun and for the joy of watching her opponent suffer. She enjoyed it, and never lost, soon becoming the champion of underground dueling. Soon she became a well known criminal, as she joined gangs of thieves and duelists, prepared to end the dueling lives of her opponents. It would in many respects be an awful and horrible life, yet she enjoyed it. Ever so much.
Deck: Advanced Crystal Beasts with new effect, Synchro and Xyz Monsters
Ace Cards: Rainbow Dark Dragon
Deck Master: Advanced CB Ruby Carbuncle
Effect: Once per turn; instead of conducting your Normal Summon or Set, you may add 1 Advanced Crystal Beast from your Graveyard and place it on the Field as a Continuous Spell Card. If a face-up Field Spell Card would be destroyed; you can destroy 1 Continuous Spell Card you control instead.

Side Note I: Amy Anderson has no clue about Dark Amy Anderson and doesn't know what happens while she isn't in control of her body.
Side Note II: Dark Amy was dragged into the Creators plan because of Amy. Plus the fact that the Supremecy Sun is not going to spare her, especially because her split is fighting against him. So in a way the 'Evil Counterpart' is on the 'Good Side'

~Burning Soul~ (w/ Effect Veiler as DM)

That's right, if you have an idea on a Deck Master effect for a monster that hasn't been a Deck Master yet, you can post it here. Note that you have the same limitations as that from the human Deck Masters. On the plus side, you get to control the monsters that you suggest here.

Controlled By: Admiral_Stalfos19
Deck: FabledWorld Deck
Effect: During the Standby Phase of your turn, inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each card he or she controls more than you do. Then, inflict an additional 100 damage to your opponent for each card in his or her hand more than you do. Your opponent must pay 1000 Life Points to chain any card effects to your own card effects. If this card is destroyed and send to the Graveyard or banished, you do not lose the Duel. Instead, you lose half your Life Points, and you must Special Summon this card during your next Standby Phase. This card permanently gains ATK and DEF equal to the number of Life Points lost by this effect.

Controlled By: Admiral_Stalfos19
Deck: Nomi-Beatdown Deck
Effect: Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon a monster from either player's Graveyard, ignoring Summoning conditions.

Controlled By: Admiral_Stalfos19
Deck: Skull Servant Deck
Effect: This card can attack from the Deck Master Zone, even during the first turn of the duel. If it does, you must Special Summon it to the field.

Controlled By: Admiral_Stalfos19
Deck: Dinosaur Deck
Effect: Once per turn, you can negate a direct attack to your Life Points, and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent's Life Points. If the ATK of the monster whose attack was negated by this effect is greater than this card's ATK, you take the difference in Life Point damage.

Without further ado, I declare the application process... OPEN!!

Jolly good! The more the merrier.

Name: Aero Kaiba

Please say if I'm missing anything :S
