Discuss Mass Effect. What console have you played it on? How many playthroughs? How many different Commanders? Femshep or Sheploo? Opinion on characters? Favorite quotes? Jokes?

Personally, i have played Mass Effect 1 on the 360 and I have played ME2 on every console it's been released on. I had it on 360 first, then i sold it. Bought it for PC and then when it was released on PS3, I bought it for two reasons. i) My PC is probably not gonna be good enough for ME3 ii) free DLC.

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite thre- *shot*

Played both 1 and 2 on 360. Played through both three times. I'm not happy about the two first so the third and the fourth (which is in progress) will be the ones used for ME3.

First and third Shepard are female, second and fourth are male. Romanced Thane on first, Tali on second, Liara on third and planning on romancing Miranda on fourth.

Favorite quote:"This is all Joker's fault. What a tool he was. I have to spend all day computing pi because he plugged in the Overlord."

Mass Effect is my favorite game series ever.

ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

Played through 1 & 2 on the 360 because I like to take advantage of my brothers stuff. Sooo many playthroughs.
Vanderloo sounds bored most times.
Male Shep is voiced by Mark Meer. |:

Vanderloo is just the model who Shepard's default appearance is took from.

That sexy quarian accent just gets to me, dammit. But seriously, Miranda's bland as hell. The only character I cared less about was Garrus, even if he was supposed to be a badass.

To be honest though, I still don't have the whole team. Missing the Justicar and the Assassin, should get them by the end of the week, if I'm lucky enough to find the console vacant...

Yeah, Miranda is very, well, boring, you'll see later on, though, she's actually OK.

If you played ME1 you would have LOVED Garrus.

The Justicar is probably my favorite new squaddie. You will enjoy her loyalty mission.

Wrex will always be my favorite squadmate. He's just too cool.

Liara is also one of my favorites though. I am controversially fond of her abrupt character change in LotSB.

Wrex had all the best lines. :] Except for some of Joker's

As well as being badass enough to kill a thresher maw on foot. So much awesomeness.

I didn't really mind the character change for Liara, but I did sort of miss the awkward bookworm thing she had going on.

Yeah, some of Jokers lines are brilliant. Seth Green executed them perfectly.

I liked Liaras character change. I don't know why, I just like that she gained cinfidence and grew up a bit.

Well I suppose it had to be expected for Liara. It must be like the asari version of puberty. But with crazy biotic power.
That's one thing I don't get.

She is incredibly powerful but only around 100 years old. She would probably match Tela Vasir in power, but she is a Spectre.

Is it because her mother was a matriarch when she game birth to Liara? Don't Asari usually have kids at around 500-600?

Wiki says Benezia was a matron when she gave birth to Liara. And Asari have a big reputation for their biotic abilities.

Also, just a personal theory, I've always expected that pureblood Asari would have very strong biotics, for the simple reasons that they're getting all their genetic stuff from the most naturally gifted biotic species.

[s]Also, being a main character helps.[/s]

EDIT: Benezia being a mean biotic helps too.

If the father didn't have anything to do with gene inheritance, there's no reason why Ardat-Yakshi's would be restricted to pureblood Asari.

Unless I'm really overthinking this.

Also I think the father does provide some genes, at least I'm sure I heard that the father gives "genetic diversity".
Although asari have one gender, they are not asexual. An asari provides two copies of her own genes to her offspring, which—regardless of the species or sex of the 'father'—is always an asari. The second set is altered in a unique process called melding, also known as the joining.

Touché, sir. Never thought of that.

I really hope we get to see female Salarians/Turians in game. :( Although i doubt we'll see female Salarians.

I think there was one female Salarian but I was never sure: ME1, Consort's building. Salarian in pink. Just an assumption though, but it looked like a male Salarian.

I kind of want to see a female Turian, but at the same time I don't think they'd look much different than your regular male Turian.

Since Salarians are reptiles I don't think the difference between males and females are so big.

We know that female turians have smaller "horns" than the males. We are going to one of the moons of the Turian homeworld in ME3, so here's hoping that there is some turian females there.

Also female drells. And more volus and elcor, please.

Elcor/Hanar squadmate would be even more awesome
.
And Blasto the Hanar Spectre in-game would be amazing.

I just finished ME again. Now onto ME2 to prepare for ME3!

Also this.

EDIT: Also, even though I've completed ME four times now I've never realized that the the song that plays during the ending is f***ing amazing.
