They talked about the end of humanity if we did not change our ways of war and destruction. They said we were a failed race, and that a gruesome fate awaited us. We didn't listen.[/i]

[i]The Touch of Gods. That's what the Avatars called it. You know how humans are only capable of using 10% of their brains? The Touch of Gods unlocked the full potential of our brains, but it was a self destruct button. The newly unlocked "potential" overheated the brain, killing billions of people. Only 30% of all humans remained, but there was more...[/i]

[i]The machines. No one knows what built them. They roamed the lands, killing all humans they would come across. I saw my pregnant wife killed by them. the one thing I had left in this world... They ripped it out of my hands... [/i]

[i]But we have a new weapon. We are the ones who have learned to control the Touch of Gods, turning it against the machines. Using the means the gods created to kill us to strike back. This is our revolution...[/i]

[spoiler=Information & Rules]This RP takes place in the year 2039, and Earth is a giant wasteland. Major cities are either turned to dust or overgrown, and everywhere there are monstrous robots trying to kill any and all humans they find.

You take the role of either a surviving human trying to fight off the machines with your new powers, or you will take control of a god, with the goal to wipe humans of the face of Earth.

Thanks to the Touch of Gods most surviving humans have gained the ability to use more than 10% of their brain, giving them superhuman abilities to use in the war against the Gods.

The Gods are giant machines that have slumbered inside the planet for millennias, but every God does also have an Avatar; a human-like machine counterpart with the same abilities as a normal superhuman.

3. Two characters per person. You cannot have two Gods, but I will control all Gods not taken by anyone.
4. The ability gained by the Touch of Gods is useless on it's own, your character must also have some kind of weapon to accompany your abilities.
5. Playing a God means that you are more powerful than a human, obviously, but this doesn't mean that you are allowed to Godmod. Not even a God can take a nuclear missile in the face. The Avatar is equal in power to humans, though.

[b]Avatar Appearance:[/b] Thanatos has raven-black hair, and the same colored eyes. He wears nothign but a pair of trousers, his feat are bare. On his back are two silver mechanical wings, both are covered by torn, black cloth.
[b]God Appearance:[/b] Partially resembling a teenage boy overall, Thanatos weilds a silver medium length blade. Thanatos still has wings on his back, though instead of feathers, they have thrusters instead, that expell blue energy. His neck is hidden underneath a beard like mane, which goes up to his chin.
[b]Abilities:[/b] Can remove spirits from humans, leaving the body in a coma-like state (this can be reversed, so long as the body remains intact long enough for the soul to return to it). If that person has already died, then Thanatos will remove the soul anyway, as it is his duty to collect the souls of the dead.[/color]

[b]Avatar Appearance:[/b] Zeus has stormy grey eyes with fading grey hair also. He wears simple sandals and a silver toga with a golden outlining. Two bronze wings sprout from his back. He wears a golden laurel wreath around his head.
[b]God Appearance:[/b] Zeus, like most other Gods, is huge and he himself towers over many of his fellows. The entire mech is golden coloured with electric blue streaks going across him which pulse with electrical energy. These streaks. The streaks go up to his finger tips, into his sword onto his shoulders, generally going all across him. He wears a typical style greek helmet which hides his face so that all can be seen is glowing grey eyes. He still has the bronze wings and has a lightning bolt shaped sword is strapped vertically between them. On his feet are thrusters and on his hands are blue discs which can fire electrical pulses.
[b]Abilities:[/b] Zeus is master of the skies, and more nateably lightning and storms. He has the power over the winds, the weather and has power over electricity as he is able to control it, change it, shape it. He can fire mit as an energy orb, or use it to power something else.
Zeus holds a lightning bolt shaped sword which is charged with the electricity he creates, then holding an electrical current which flows through the sword. This makes it somewhat more dangerous.[/color]

[b]Ability:[/b] Technopathy - The ability to control mechanical devices through electrical impulses exuded by the brain. Nathaniel can control any machine that uses electricity either by touch or by sight, however his control lessens the greater the distance between him and whatever he's trying to control.
[b]Weapon:[/b] Drill Lance - A lance with a drill head that Nathaniel can make spin at will. While spinning it can pierce through most objects, and the spin keeps it stable for throwing use like a javelin.
[b]Description:[/b] Appearance - Nathaniel has long black hair with a white streak down his bangs caused by trauma. His right eye has been replaced with a mechanical one he stole from the very machine that stole his in the first place, and he wears his hair in bangs to cover it. He wears a black duster where he keeps various bits of scrap metal and small mechanisms for tinkering. Underneath he wears a full-body suit of armor, save for a helmet, constructed from various machines that he's felled.
Personality - Nathaniel is not very sociable and is shy around others, so he doesn't speak much, and when he does, he is soft spoken. He's slow to make friends, but those he does he is very protective of. He's never one to give up. He doesn't like violence, but will slay anything that poses a threat to him or his friends without emotion. He holds no anger towards the Gods, merely accepting the world as it has become, thinking it was meant to be, and focuses on surviving to the day where he may once again find happiness.

[b]Avatar Appearance:[/b] Around 5' 11", with pale skin and long, straight black hair, as well as discreet oval glasses over golden eyes. Slender, but with a powerful build. Usually wears a brown leather coat over a white shirt and trousers, and often carries an ancient-looking spear. Usually identifies herself as "Pallas"
[b]God Appearance:[/b] Like the other gods, Minerva is immense, although is smaller than many other gods, despite being well-matched. True to the classical image, Minerva is covered by a white robe, with a tough cloak around her 'neck' and a helm forming part of the head. Minerva is armed with an immense spear, identical to the one wielded by her avatar, and a large round shield, upon which is the image of a female head surrounded by snakes. This houses a strange neural/psychological weapon, which can cause the muscles of one who looks directly at it to become paralysed.
[b]Abilities:[/b] The God's mind is very probably the single most powerful information processor to exist. Not only does it hold information on nearly every topic possible, it is capable of deriving completely new ideas quicker than humans. It's ability to process data in battle and determine a response is what allows the comparatively tiny Minerva to match other, larger gods one on one. The Avatar has a mere fraction of this processing power, along with access to stored information, but this is still enough to be considered a genius among humans. The spears both god and avatar carry also store electrical energy - whilst Minerva is unable to generate it, the spear can collect it from an external source and store it indefinitely.

[b]Ability:[/b] Pyromancy - The ability to generate and control fire. This can either manifest in her hands, on anything she is holding, the ammunition of her weapon, or in an emergency elsewhere on her body.
[b]Weapon:[/b] A repeating crossbow with extending bayonet. The bolts are formed from very strong metals, meaning, combined with her ability, they can pierce nearly anything. She also has a dagger, just in case.
[b]Description:[/b] Janet is somewhat average in hight, and slim, with long slender features. Her hair is blond, wavy, and quite short, since she cuts it often to prevent it getting in the way. She usually wears a tight-fitting shirt and similar trousers, although made of fabrics which allow easy movement. Due to her ability, she is never cold enough to need more clothing. All her clothing is also fireproof.
Janet is a rather serious and determined person. Having seen her family killed by machines when she younger, she wanted revenge, and when she discovered she could control fire, she set out to burn as many as possible. At that time, she was practically suicidal, simply wanting to take out as many machines as possible before she did expire. As she continued surviving, however, she began to actually make an effort to stay alive, finally grasping that she could do enough to make another day worth living to fight for. She also began to turn her thoughts towards doing something about the gods. With a real drive, she is no longer suicidal, although she now pretty much lives to fight.

The bow itself is made of fine oak coated with a thin, flexible layer of steel, so that it's durability is increased without hampering it's firing ability. The string is just string.

Thalia is a tall, thin girl. Her complexion is pale, and she has a dusting of light freckles on her face. Her hair is pitch black, like the dead of night, and her eyes are kaleidoscopic, seeming to change from blue to green to amber, when in reality they are more of a purple shade.
Thalia wears whatever suits the weather, and as such is criticized as having no fashion sense. She calls it casual. They call it stupid. But she favors her black jacket and red baseball cap. Anything else is a spur of the moment choice. (Usually jeans and a simple shirt)

Thalia is a loud, outgoing girl. She has an opinion on everything, and isn't afraid to voice her opinions. She is slow to make friends due to her opinions, but she usually just continues on. His proportions are somewhat blocky and exaggerated, similar to a carving on a wallor a painting of some sort- though most of him is colored a stone grey, various highlightsacross his sides are colored bright red.A massive half-disc is attached to the crest of Quetzalcoatl's head, positioned between his eyes and down across the back of his head. The half disc spins freely and generates a magnetic force that allows most of quetzalcoatl's body to attach together without physically touching, thus making his movements far faster and more fluid. Directly above the ring is a bright golden plasma that shines like a star, and floating above that is a long S-shaped line of bright redmechanical feathers, each one actually a serrated aerodynamic blade that can be shed and replaced at will. Quetzalcoatl's tail is also tipped with a similar whip-like line of feather blades, as well assimilar portions at the base of his throat, and periodically down the body. Every line of thesefeathers is tipped with a particularly long feather, which can act as a weapon that can carve through almost anything. Quetzalcoatl's feathers are incredibly light, but nearly indestructibleand capable of cutting through nigh anything.His fangs are miniature generators that convert magnetic power from his disc into straightelectrical plasma, which he fires in a stream from his mouth. Doing this will destroy vast amounts of ozone in the area, allowing the sun's harsher rays to fall through for hours untilthe atmosphere can replace the lost air. Notably, due to his entire body being magnetic, Quetzalcoatl can fly over the earth without thrusters by rejecting the Earth's magnetic pull. In a large area, this also wipes any mechanicdevice that uses a magnet to store data (thus, any sort of computer or the like), and makesit difficult to control the direction that magnet-adhesive metals move in.[/color][/size]

Specific magnetic fields manipulate the minerals in the earth, either sinking them intothe earth or drawing them to the surface, and allow him to accelerate the growth of plants in an area, or slow it; likewise, by dropping a field that can manipulate the minerals withinin the people of the area, Quetzalcoatl can make living beings feel tired, sick and irritable, basically allowing him to herd populations wherever he'd like. Quetzalcoatl can also manipulatethe surrounding atmosphere to a certain degree, once again with a magnetic field, allowing himto draw iron-laden rainclouds, or to break the atmosphere briefly to drain ozone from the areaand intensify the sun's rays to a ludicrous degree. Quetzalcoatl's weather control is far moreimprecise than equivalent abilities other Gods have, and he can't really use it without decimating the surrounding are.[/color][/size]

Ability: Golem Summoning: He can summon creatures(animals/monster/etc.) out of a solid substance. He can only summon them as long as there is enough solid substance. ex) an ice cube will result in a tiny ice golem while when out side he can make a bigger one using the ground. He does have a limit to how big and small he can make his golems. Size matters to how many golems he can summon at once. ex) Male lion size golem would be around 10 max.If he makes to many or to big/small he will lose control of it/them or it/they will just break down. The more he has or bigger it is the harder it is for him to control it/them. He doesn't need to touch the solid substance to make a golem, he just needs to be able to see the substance.The farther away the solid substance is, the harder it is to make to golem. It also counts how fast the solid substance is moving. So he can make a golem out of a moving car, but the faster its going, the harder it is to make a golem out of it.
Weapon: Staff, 6ft in lenght. The tips of both sides are pointed, so he can stab.
Description: He stands at 5'6" in height. He wears pure black clothes. None of his skin is visible. He black mask that looks like it has a beak. The eyes of the mask are green lenses, which act like night-vision when dark. The can be turned off and on, so during the day they are just lenses. A hood covers the rest of his head, which is part of a pure black cloak. He pants are also pure black.
Personality: Even though his appearance might say otherwise, he is actually a friendly person. When someone is in need of help, he does all he can to try to help them. He doesn't talk much though, he lets his actions do the talking for him. Maybe he does a few grunts and maybe yes and no, but other that that he doesn't talk much. He is also very quick to forgive, even when betrayed. That does get him in trouble sometimes, but usually gets out of them.
