Pokémon Iridescent: Evolving Era Arc 1: Fabled Failure

All he could see was darkness, he tried to figure were he was."Where the hell am I," he said looking around then he heard it a deep voice that echoed in his ears "[i]From wandering through your realm, I have summoned you...[/i]" "what is that supposed to mean, let me out of here." he said running towards where he heard the voice come from "[i]Behold, for in this Game of Life, you are the EndEra.[/i] Era...eraa, eraaaaa" He woke up wondering what his dream meant and what that voice was trying to tell him.
Still half asleep Harro looks at his clock it read 6:30am "Well I better get ready," he said looking a his Pokemon Zoroua.He holds his hand out to his new friend who was sleeping next to him petting his head "your so cute," he said with a smile.The little Pokemon looks at him purss at him.Harro gets up out of bed so he could get ready to start his adventure he put on his clothes grabbed his backpack as Zoroua jumped on his shoulders "hello little guy,"he said as he walked down stares."Bye mom," he said as he was getting ready to leave"Bye Harro,"she said as a tear formed in her eye "I'll miss you." Harro looks over at his mom as he opens the door"I'll be okay mom," he walks out the door to start his new adventure.

[Reaper of Shadows]

"So you're back," Roxanne said as Rai walked into the gym, a confident smirk on his face. "DIdn't I just beat you a week ago. You sure you're ready for me?"


"Oh no need to worry about that," Rai said. "Last time was a fluke. I'm sorry to say that I was grossly unprepared. But now I'm ready. Your not gonna win this battle." With that he sent out Xeo, who took to the field, looking serious. ROxanne responded with a Geodude of her own. "This old thing again? Xeo, show them how it's done." Rai said. The tiny pokemon nodded in agreement before speeding to the left, narrowly avoiding a Sand Tomb. It began to slowly run circles around Geodude, who attempted to catch it in its Sand Tomb. IT was however not fast enough to do so. Frustrated, Roxanne finally ordered Geodude to use Magnitude, and that's when Xeo leapt into actions. Quick as a flash, Xeo was up in the air, where it gained a substantial height before slowly beginning its decent.


"No Geodude, use Sand Tomb!" Roxanne smirked confidently as a large Sand Tomb rose up to meet Xeo, ready to entrap him in its depths. "You can't maneuver in the air. Too bad for your Ralts"


Rai just casually continued looking at the battlefield. "Xeo, you know what to do," he said. The pokemon nodded in understanding before it vanished. IN the same instant, twelve Ralts appeared, surrounding Geodude. They all vanished simultaneously before reappearing in different positions, though still surrounding the Geodude. This pattern continued as Geodude began taking swipes at whatever he could reach, only for them to vanish before he hit them.


"Like it," Rai said, a small smile on his face. "I call it the 'Teleport Dance.' In case you didn't know, a pokemon using Double Team can choose to have the copies mimic its actions, to the smallest twitch. That extends to using attacks; though Double Team is a support move, the possibilities of its use extend to so much more. IN this case, when combined with Teleport, its the perfect evasion technique. The only way to beat it is to simultaneously attack and destroy all of the mirages....before they use Teleport."


"I like it," Roxanne said. "I've never seen that used before; its an impressive battle strategy. I could give you a badge now on merit alone; it's too bad that's not how I work. Magnitude!"


Geodude built up strength before launching a tremendous magnitude. It kicked up large boulders as the ground shook and rumbled. Unfortunately for Geodude, when he'd done that, the Ralts had disappeared, and were now nowhere to be found.


"And now you've lost," Rai exclaimed. "You've forgotten that Xeo can teleport anywhere." He looked up, pointing at Xeo, who was directly above Geodude, high in the air. "Let's finish it. Teleport Combo Number 1!" Xeo nodded affirmative, before Teleporting to directly under Geodude, and aiming a might kick, sending the Geodude flying. Then, Xeo teleported above the Geodude, and used a Double Team to make multiple copies of himself. Even if Geodude could evade the following attack normally, he would have no idea which direction it would come form now. The Ralts party brought their arms back, before firing off a Confusion that sent the Geodude hurtling toward the ground. But it wasn't over, to finish, Xeo appeared directly below where Geodude would land, and fired off a point black Confusion, striking Geodude just before he hit the ground, kicking up a cloud of smoke. When it cleared, Geodude lay on the ground, knocked out.


"Impressive moves for a Ralts," Roxanne said as she recalled Geodude. "But this battle isn't over yet. I choose you! Geodude!" Her second Geodude emerged, looking significantly tougher than the first.


"Let's go for speed this time. You ready Z?"


{Finally. I didn't think I'd get to have any fun this time.} Zero flexed his wings, before leaping onto the battlefield. As soon as the announcer declared the beginning of the battle, Zero was off; he rushed quickly toward Geodude and slammed into it, sending it flying into the gym wall. Before the Geodude could react, Zero had used three Faint Attacks in quick succession, burying it into the gym wall. It fell to the floor, clearly unconscious.


{Well that was a waste. I know you said it would be fast, but I didn't expect it to be that fast. DId he even try to fight back? I mean really.}


Rai rubbed the back of his head, laughing nervously. [i]I know I said to end it Zero, but I didn't expect you to do it so...brutally. [/i]

{Is there any other way to do it?}


Not the least perturbed, Roxanne recalled her Geodude, before launching her last and final pokemon, Probopass. "You won't be getting past this guy," were her only words before before the battle began. A Sand Tomb sprang up around Zero, much more quickly than Geodudes. It last for only a second though before it shattered, and revealed Zero glowing white. [i]Levitate makes ground moves miss. Excellent, that mean's she doesn't have many moves that she can rely on, [/i]Rai thought.


"Zap Cannon!" Roxanne cried. Probopass charged forward, electricity gather in its 'head' before it launch a large burst of electric at Zero. Zero stood there and took the attack, unaffected. [i]Have I ever told you that I love the giant advantage you get by being both a Ground-Type and having Levitate?[/i]

{You coul stand to bring it up more} Zero snorted in amusement.

"Giga Impact!" Roxanne cried, that being the only move that she could use on Zero. Probopass rushed forward, and slammed into Zero, knocking him backwards and giving him a very large chest bruise. But Zero remained standing, and now Probopass was frozen in place, forced to recharge as a result of using Giga Impact.

"Let's finish it Zero," Rai said, and as Zero slowly unfurled his wings, he began thinking back to their training.

[i]"I can't believe we lost," Rai moped as they walked through the woods surrounding Rustburo. "All of my training and preparing. Fo\r what? To lose at the first gym!"[/i]

[i]{Don't you mean OUR training and preparation?} Zero asked. WIthout waiting for an answer, he rammed into Rai, knocking him over, and began to lick his face. {SO what, we lost? We we unprepared. That just means we have to get better and embarrass them next time. Stop moping, its annoying me.}[/i]

[i]Rai chuckled lightly as he pushed Zero off of him. "Is it really that easy Z?"[/i]

[i]Rai stood and nodded to himself. "You're right of course. This just means that I'll have to implement even better battle strategies. We'll definitely win next time. Which raises a question. What was that move you used back there to beat Geodude? It definitely wasn't Sonicboom." Zero didn't respond, also confused and Rai nodded again to himself. "Well I suppose we'll find out. Let's go."[/i]

"Move Evolution," Rai recited as Probopass slowly began to inch forward and Zero finished unfurling his wings. "It's rare, but it happens, much like Pokemon evolution. You see, pokemon moves gain experience along with pokemon. The more a move is used, the better you become at it. Now using a move regularly isn't enough; you have to master the move, and then adapt it in a way that makes it more powerful than the original. Then, repeated use of the move, and the move may evolve. Now two minor setbacks; the more powerful the move, the longer it takes for that move to evolve, if it does at all. Not every move evolves. And two, it only evolves in the middle of a battle when you've run out of uses of that move. It can't be forced outside of battle. But of course, the benefits far outweigh the difficulty obtaining move evolution. As you'll soon see." Probopass, fully recharged now, rushed forward, aiming another GIgia Impact at Zero. Before he got close however, Rai began speaking again. "Here we go. TIme to finish this. Zero, use ShatterStorm."

Zero's wings glowed blindingly bright for a moment as he began gathering energy there. Then, he beat his wings once, and the move exploded from them. In slow motion, a silvery, arrow shaped burst of wind formed, followed by another and another. Though it was one continuous attack, the arrows seemed to come off in burst. Instead of flying in a straight line, the dispersed, heading forward, but at different angles. They surrounded Probopass, and Zero beat his wings again, releasing a bright conical sphere of wind, aimed directly at Probapass. As it hit him, the silvery arrowed shaped gust all homed in on Probopass, also striking him. Though it seemed unilateral, the move actually struck from all directions, making it neigh unavoidable, while also generating a shattering, screeching sound, hence the name ShatterStorm. Though this all happened in Zero's eyes in slow motion, in real time all that was heard was a loud shattering sound, and a screech before Probopass toppled over, stuck by he conical wind blast. It happened almost too fast to be seen. Probopass was down for the count.

"ShatterStorm always does 50 damage, regardless of type advantages or disadvantages," Rai said as the announcer declared him the winner. "It also may paralyze and has priority over moves with lesser speeds, i.e. Giga Impact. And it does one other thing, but I'm gonna keep that to myself for now."

Roxanne walked up to Rai as Zero returned to his side. She held out her hand, and he shook it proudly. "You've done weel, all three of you. Xeo, Zero, and Rai, you've clearly shown that you know what it means to be a team. To go from defeat to such an landslide victory in a week is outstanding. Keep up the good work. I'm proud to offer you the Stone Badge, as proof of you victory here, as well as TM39, Rock Tomb, as your reward for outstanding effort." She handed him both items, and her card. "You are ready for the next challenge; good luck and keep in touch if you ever want a rematch." With that, Rai, Xeo, and Zero left the gym, the first victory of eight under their belt. Who was next?

[Mr.WHAM]

Abrax smiled as the dust settled from Mazer crashing down, his attack hitting Track's Squirtle directly. A move like that should ha-- The smile on his face as he saw Squirtle still standing but barely, probably on its last legs. "Damn. That's gunna be one tough Pokemon when Squirty grows up." He congrats were met with challenge as his mind filled itself passionately at the thought of coming at him full strength. "Mazer, I want you to put all your speed into to your next attacks. Your strength too. Go all out." Mazer slid his blades together, sharpening them as he charged forward, zigzaging left and right to avoid any possibl attcaks. His body was precise & focused, waiting for the point where the storm within him would release its explosive fury. "False Swipe! Both blades, back-to-back!" Mazer went forth and struck Squirtle withall f his force across the shell, making an X as he then struck its center mercilessly, furthering up the blow. He finally came crashing down with both blades as he returned to Abrax's side, obviously worn out. Abrax smiled as he congratulated his Pokemon when he noticed Squirtle still standing; the Pokemon had more cuts and scrapes on him, but he looked no more worn out than before. "WHAT'S WITH THIS!!! THAT SHOULD HAVE--" Abrax cut himself off when he pulled out his Pokedex, looking up what False Swipe's effect had been. All the blood rushed his face as he said, "MAZER! That Attack would have left him alive!!!! His ability Torrent will activate! Crap!!!" Mazer turned around to see Squirtle glowing blue with a wastery aura about him. "Pursuit!" But it would be too late, Mazer could barely move, and getting over there to attack there friend would be just too much. Abrax watched as he waited for the inevitable to happen. [i]Since Mazer is going to be finished here, who to use next. Doom's training is paying off with some serious benefits, but no I'll keep him for later. Apollo...your up next...[/i]

Tabitha walked in the room silently along side his mentor and former leader of Team Magma, Maxie. "Report, anything new on the news about the Pokemon." He sat at the head of the table with the darkness falling over his face. Maxie sat behind him as the new leader waited for his questio to be answered.
"N-n-n--n-nn-nnn-no ss-s-ss-sir," a young scientist said. "We've h-have been a-able to lo-lo-loo-locate one in each region except Un--"
"OF COURSE THERE ISN'T ONE IN UNOVA YOU USELESS PIECE OF TWIT! Give me a more competent assistant!" The head scientist said as the young man was dragged off, screaming and bawling as a young woman entered into the room.
"The legendary Pokeon has not yet been found in Johto. In Sinnoh, it was last seen in Metagross Mountain and Mount Moon in Kanto. We are in need of a bit more time sir."
"YOU DARE ASK ME FOR-"
"Head Scientist Nikolas, calm your temper. It's fiery passion is still evident in you but we can't gain any progress like this. We must continue our search if we are to make progress," Tabitha said, coolly. The head of the local fire club was a very-cool headed person to be in charge of Team Magma. They had failed in there last movement, to mass produce land over the earth by having Groudon rise up, but that seemed like too much power for any of them to handle at that time. But this plan was more tactical; multiple targets and mutiple strike teams coupled along with stealth would ensure that if any ONE section faled, it would not utterly disrupt the mission. It also removed the need of a guilty conscience. "We will continue to look at that region as long as it takes to find it. That being said continue on with the plan. Dismissed." The gathering of scientists and other section leaders left there seat. Through all the distant commotion, urgent footsteps could be heard down the hallways. As the grunt entered in the room he felt proud. He would be the one to deliver news. "S...Ahhh..Aaaaaah!!!" He said as a hole punched through his left lung and the sound of a gun rang through the hallways. "Someone should get that man a doctor! Oh my his lung is pierced!" a figure said as it was revealed to be James of Team Rocket, holding the smoking gun in his hand, smirking ever so slyly as he always had.

"Jimmy boy! What brings you here?" The Team Magma leader pulled out a Tech-Nine from his side as he waited for James to respond.

[color=#008080]"Is that anyway you would treat a guest? Especially one that comes bearing gifts?"[/color]
"What are you talking about? You have nothing of value to me."
[color=#008080]"Well how about the location of that LAST Pokemon you were just discussing."[/color]
Tabitha's faced grew solemn. "Alright then speak. What do you have to offer us?"
[color=#008080]"The Pokemon you seek is Azalea Town, located deep within the Slowpoke Cave."[/color]
"Foolish. All we have to do now is-"
[color=#008080]"Not a damned thing. You see that Pokemon was discovered by Team Rocket. MY TEAM ROCKET. As such, I will require compensation for such knowledge."[/color]
"What makes you think we'll give it to you?"
[color=#008080]"It's simple really, the town will be leveled and destroy that precious prized Pokemon you wish to have. Team Rocket already does occupy the space. Plus it would start a potential Team War expending money & resources. Yours seem to have been dwindling recently with that new project of yours."[/color]
"You bastard! How dare you walk into here threatening me with war! I ought to destroy Team Rocket for being so bold!"

[color=#008080]"The Blue Orb. We Team Rocket will contnue to work under our cover while you literally work below us. Deal?"[/color]

[color=#FF8C00]"No. It was the only thing that I could find to power the bombs that I laced throughout that mountain. I wanted Revenge for the humiliation I faced those years ago, so I thought I would destroy a piece of Pokemon history on my deathbed. But if we get what we want from this cave, I cna destroy old history a make history anew."[/color]
[color=#008080]James burst out with laughter, filled with menace and life. "You are something else Maxie!" James handed over a contract to Tabitha and Maxie. As they signed he said," We both will be getting what we want today soon enough gentlemen."[/color]
"Have fun with Kyogre, Jimmy Boy." Tabitha jeered.
[color=#008080]"That thing? No we have much bigger plans to in act than tame a superancient Pokemon. We leave that to amateurs Tabby Boy. Maxie, I'll take you with me when I remove the orb."[/color]
[color=#FF8C00]"Good. I want to see that isle blown to ash."[/color]
[color=#008080]James' face grew eeriely still at the mention of the word Ash. "Twerp..." he muttered.[/color]
"What?"
[color=#008080]"Nothing Tabby Boy. Maxie, Good Day to you. Its good to see that you chose peace over war. I would have had Tyranitar & Skarmory wreck this building & that would just cause a terrible mess."[/color]
The Magma Veterans' faces boiled over with shock as the two Pokemon came crashing through the window. James hopped on his Skarmory's back as they left the building. He was content with the progress he had made. Now for the others to handle their portions and all would be well.
"How do you suppose he knew what we wanted Maximus?"
[color=#FF8C00]The old man stood up, strong and wise. "Does it matter, now we will achieve our goal: A place to lay siege to the lands and expand Team Magma all throughout the world. Our ultimate wish!" he he cackled as in the hallway, a white lab coat lay on the floor accompanied by the dead bodies of two Magma guards and a false face lying there on the floor...[/color]

Upon reaching Pallet Town the next day Roy walked into Professor Oak's lab. "Hey Professor we talked last night remember?"
"Hmm," Professor Oak looked up from his study. "Ah, yes Roy yell I'm sorry but we don't have any starter Pokemon here yet." Professor Oak exclaimed. "I know I believe that me and Sciz should be enough for awhile." An assistant to Professor Oak walked into the room. "Professor Rowan's on the phone for you."
"Thank you, Roy why don't you come with me for a second." The two walked out of the main lab area and into an office. "Professor Rowan how are you doing? Ah that's good. Well I happen to have a trainer here that needs a starter. Sure send it over and I'll give it to him. Alright bye." Professor Oak hung up the phone "Well good news Professor Rowan from the Sinnoh region has a extra Chimchar and is sending it over here." Walking back to the main lab area the pokeball appeared. "Roy here's your starting Pokemon for your journey." Professor Oak expanded the pokeball and released a violet colored Chimchar from its ball. "A Chimchar is that legal?"
"Of course, a trainer before you wanted a Charmander but ended up with a Cyndaquil. It's basically the same thing"
"Alright then, hey Chimchar I'm Roy." As he held out his hand. The Chimchar hesitantly grabbed it and shook it. "Now Roy, here's a pokedex and some pokeballs." Roy grabbed the items out of Professor Oak's hands. "Thanks Professor."

Roy, Scizor, and his newly obtained Chimchar walked along Route 1 towards Viridian City. Roy and Scizor were walking along each other while Chimchar sat on Roy's shoulders. "I wonder what moves you know Sciz?" Roy pointed the pokedex towards Scizor a mechanical voice came from the speaker "Scizor, the Scissor Pokémon. The evolved form of Scyther. Its incredible attack speed and its large scissor-like claws make it a formidable opponent." It read underneath:

"What about you Chimchar?" pointing the pokedex towards Chimchar the same voice came out of the speaker "Chimchar, the Monkey Pokémon. Chimchar easily climbs the sheerest of walls and lives on mountain tops. When it sleeps, its flames go out." It read underneath:

Alright so Sciz knows Focus Energy and Bullet Punch, and Chimchar knows Leer and Scratch Roy though to himself and taking note of it.
"Now how about some training." Roy said as he walked along route 1. A group of Rattata stood on the side of the road minding there own business. "Now Sciz go Bullet Punch!" Scizor gladly accepted the order and jumped into the group with his claw glowing. At first some Rattata ran away while others stood and fought. "Chimchar go in as back up and use scratch if anything comes up from behind." Chimchar took after Scizor and jumped into the Rattata standing on Scizor's back.

[Christian Exodia]

Gina stood before Falkner, Lucifer and Latias out, poised to battle. "We fight with Pokemon in unison. And only them. Whoever loses both, is done." Falkner had posed Gina a challenge. Use only Flying Types to defeat him, and she would earn a ribbon. The battle took to the air. Well, the Pokemon. They whizzed by each other. Lucifer attempted to hold a Psychic field up as the Pokemon fluttered, and nearly took out the Pidgey. Latias fell to the ground after a nice shot from the Pidgeotto. She cursed, and returned the Pokemon. Lucifer held his own, fluttering in a strut motion, easily avoiding the bird's attempts to knock him down(Look at the first Ballad from "Why should I worry?").

Lucifer hit the Pidgey in the head with his wing, and that bird fainted. It was weakened anyway. Pidgeotto blinded Lucifer with a cheap shot, and he sent repeated Confusions in the air. They ricocheted across the room. Two hit Lucifer, one hit Pidgeotto. Lucifer got mad. He fired a super-charged Confusion. It shocked down the Pidgeotto, and it fell. Falkner was still shocked how that Butterfree defeated two birds. The badge, and the ribbon, was hers. Lucifer had the Ribbon set on his head. The badge in Gina's case.

[Hunderas]

After ten Rattata fell down the rest ran off following the first few. "Alright good job you two." Chimchar ran over to Roy's shoulders and sat there. Scizor walked up as if it was a test run. "Alright now to find a Pokemon that fits into our little group." a Abra stood out in the distance. "Whats that Pokemon?" Roy held up his pokedex to find out what it was. a mechanical voice came out of the speaker saying "Abra, a Psychic Power Pokémon. It sleeps eighteen hours a day, but employs telekinesis even while sleeping." "A Abra well Sciz are you up to it?" Roy asked his pumped up Scizor. "Alright we need to get it quick got it." Scizor took off towards the Abra Roy followed. "alright Sciz, Bullet Punch" Scizor claw started to glow and it barely missed the evasive Abra. The Abra Teleported a few feet away. "Alright Sciz go Bullet Punch, one more time. This time the Bullet Punch hit the Abra. It fell over onto its side. "Alright now is my chance Roy expanded a pokeball and threw it towards Abra. It shook once, twice, thrice, then it stopped shaking and went still. "Alright, a Abra now what should I name you, I need a name for Chimchar too." putting the Abra onto his belt Roy walked towards Viridian City.

Upon entering Viridian City the first thing Roy did was go into the Pokemon Center. "Hey Nurse Joy. Can you take a look at my Pokemon?"
"Of course I can." Roy put the Abra pokeball onto a cart. "Alright you two, back you go." Expanding Scizor's pokeball that was around his neck and grabbing Chimchar's pokeball that was on his belt. Roy set the two pokeballs onto the cart. A Chansey came by and pushed the cart into the back room.

After a half hour the Chansey returned with Nurse Joy and the cart "Here are you're Pokemon, Roy and there all healthy."
"Thanks Nurse Joy." Roy walked out of the Pokemon Center "Alright Sciz come on out." expanding Scizor's pokeball. Sciz stood up and stretched. "Alright we need to train some more if were going to stand a chance against Brock." Walking onto Route 2.

Harro noticed that the road he was walking on was completely deserted "I'm I on the right road?" he said puzzled as he looks at the map."Grrrr I toke a wrong turn,I'll never get to p Pallet Town at this rate."he grunted as he looked at Zorua who was walking behind him. He turned around and started to walk back the way he came from.It's getting late we should make camp he says laying against a tree.He sets up a tent and makes a a fire.They both fall asleep for the night.He was suddenly woken up by a loud noise he looked out of his tent and what he saw was an amazing site, it was a herd of Toros.

Walking through Route 2 Roy and Scizor were enjoying the peaceful weather. A trainer came up to them "Hey want to battle?"
"Yeah, sure." the two walked a little off the path to a wide open field. "Sciz your up." Sciz welcomed to coming battle, eagerly jumping onto the field. "Alright, come on out Pikachu." The trainer threw his pokeball up and a Yellow Mouse came out of it. Roy picked up his pokedex and held it towards the Pikachu. "Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon. It can generate electric attacks from the electric pouches located in both of its cheeks."
Alright Sciz go Bullet Punch." Scizor took off after the Pikachu with his claws glowing. "Pikachu dodge it. Then use Thunder Shock." The Pikachu dodged the Bullet punch and hit Scizor with a Thunder Shock. "Sciz are you ok?" Roy was questioning himself about letting Scizor fight. Sciz stood up acting like nothing had hit him. "Alright then, Sciz go Bullet Punch." Scizor's claw's didn't glow this time he just went up and smacked the Pikachu. "Sciz what was that, that wasn't a Bullet Punch." Roy pulled out his pokedex and pointed it towards Scizor it read: Scizor Level 9 Moves Focus Energy, Bullet Punch, Pursuit. "Sciz when did you level up? Anyways use Pursuit one more time."
"Pikachu dodge it." It was to late Scizor's Pursuit landed dead on the Pikachu and it fell over knocked out. "Well good job Pikachu." the Trainer picked up his partner "Thanks for the battle." the Trainer handed over some money and walked to Viridian City.
"Sciz you won." Scizor looked as if it knew it was going to win the entire time. "Alright time for some speed training. Come on out Chimchar, Abra." Roy threw the pokeballs into the air and the two Pokemon came out of them. "Alright Abra I want you to use Teleport every time Scizor or Chimchar get close to you got it?" Abra shook his head yes. "Sciz, Chimchar I want you to chase him, whoever gets to him first is what were going for here got it?" Both Pokemon shook there heads yes. "Alright then Abra start." The Abra vanished appearing about 20 yards away from the other two Pokemon, both Scizor and Chimchar took off towards Abra. When one of them got close Abra would use Teleport again appearing a few yards away and this kept going for about 30 minutes."Good job guys come on in Lunch is ready."

[Mr.WHAM]

"DAMN THIS!" the Team Magma grunt said as he kicked his foot forward. "Mirely! Have that Venomoth of yours detect how much further this damn place is! I'm tired of traveling through this retarded region!!!" The grunt moaned and complained as his Magmar stood next to him, brooding over what was happening. There was a rustling in the bushes as a collection of Caterpie walked out in front of them. The fiery Pokemon glowed as a flamethrower erupted from its mouth burning through the pokemon.
"Control your Magmar, Issac. We don't want any extra attention. Veno & Larvesta come out!" The two bug pokemon appeared as the girl flipped her curly pink hair. She was short, not taller than 5'3" unlike her tall, muscular partner. "Besides, we wouldn't have to walk if you weren't late. I swear you and this search for Magmarizers and Protectors. Your just lucky you got one of them out of it this time. Else you would have been, well taken care of." Issac shuddered at the thought of what the small girl said. She may have been tiny, but she was fierce some. The two of them spotted a trainer nearby with a small Flygon & a Ralts. The trainer seemed to be well talking to them. "Well Ize, we don't see that everyday. You wanna go get a bonus?"

"MACH PUNCH MAGMAR! AIM FOR THE FLYGON!"
"Always trying to steal all the fun. Venomoth,Psybeam!"

Track smiled as he saw Scyther trying to finish off Squirtle using false swipe. When it was over and Scyther went back to Abrax Track laughed as Abrax only just realised Squirtles ability. "Oh yeah. That's how I roll. Now Squirtle finish this off nice and clean. Use water gun." Track knew that after that Scyther would be too exhausted to even dodge the attack. Track just watched as the attack headed straight for Scyther. He began to think about the rest of the battle. "Okay. So i guess after this Abrax is going to choose that Cyndiquil of his. I guess I'll just stick with Squirtle to weaken it a little bit. Then Riolu can finish it off."

[Mr.WHAM]

"Good job Mazer! I'm happy that you did so well. Come on back." The Pokèball sent out the red beam of energy as Mazer was absorbed into it. Now he was faced with a difficult choice. 'I have Doom and Apollo left. If I use Apollo he'll be faster but he has a disadvantage against a Squirtle that has Torrent active. 1 hit can be the end. So that will leave Doom. He doesn't seem to want battle but he'll have to.' Abrax pulled out the Pokeball as he released Doom. The Darkrai looked at him, then at Track, at Squirtle and finally at Abrax once more.
'You. Little. As--' he said to Abrax as he charged a Shadow Ball. He was cut off by a small Gible hiding behind him, terrified. The Pokemon clung to him for dear life. The ground shook as two twin trainers leapt from the trees. The female looked down at Track and winked at him as the male stared coldly at Abrax. Then the ground underneath them shook as a Dugtrio came on to the scene.

"DESTROY IT DOUGY!!!!" The girl shouted as she went and clung to her brother. "Oh! I'm sorry Nico, commanding your Pokèmon again. Its a good thing that you released that Gible though. Other wise our perfect combo wouldn't be perfect anymore. But now, may I?" Nico nodded. "QUEEN LIA SAYS DESTROY IT USING MUD SLAP!!!! Vulpix join in and use Fire Blast!"

*Earlier*

The two team Magma members had been working there way out Diglett Cave and Gible had been useless. Again. "Release it. C'mooooon" she pleaded it. She began to caress her brother's chest obviously infatuated with him. He stood there silently as he released the Pokemon, a blue beam of light coming from Gible's Pokeball. The tiny Gible looked confused & upset. "Your worthless to us!!!! Get away! Ooh look brother! A Dugtrio!! Catch it!!!" Nico did as commanded as her took out a Black Pokeball and captured the Dugtrio. The Pokeball shook violently as a small surge of energy went through it as the Dugtrio was captured. Lia licked her lips with malice as her brother released the Pokemon and she wrapped her legs around him from behind. She crept up behind his ear and whispered. "Let's destroy that useless Pokemon. Its a waste of space. Pleaaase?" Nico nodded and said something in his sister's ear. She smiled, clearly overjoyed as she commanded the Dugtrio to use Magnitude. The Gible terrified ran away, tears streaming from its eyes as it ran into the nearby forest. "After it!" she squealed as they went in pursuit of the Gible.

*Currently*

"Track. We'll battle later. We need to handle these guys," he said as he grabbed up the Gible. "Here's a Potion for Squirtle. Let's get rid of these guys and head to Pewter."

"You heh heh. Think you can take us?? We're the best combo in all of Team Magma! You'll never beat the King and Queen of Pain!!!"
"Doom! Ominous Wind! On all of them!" Doom appeared behind the Team Magma members as Lia's shocked expression as the Darkrai commenced the attack.

[Reaper of Shadows]

"And then X you'll come in an-" he was cut off as Xeo slammed into him and sent him careening to the side. He collapsed to the ground just as a Psybeam passed through he air where he'd been. A second later, Flygon went flying over his head and slammed into a tree. He stoop up slowly, dazed but otherwise alright.
"So they survived out attacks," a feminine voice said as Rai slowly rose to his feet. He whipped his head around to see who'd just attacked him. Two Team Magma grunts came through the forest, followed by a Venomoth and a Magmar.
"ShatterStorm!" Rai commanded and Zero quickly hoped up, flaring his wings as he did. His wings glowed, before he fired off a silvery white streak of air moving at high speeds. It slammed into the Venomoth, who fell to the ground.
"And that's one," Rai said confidently as he stood up. Xeo and Zero quickly joined his side. "I don't know who you guys are, but it was a mistake coming here and picking a fight with my team."
"Mirely, can you believe this kid," the male grunt said. "He thinks he can take me and Magmar."
"I know. That was a nice shot kid, you've got some good moves. But don't think that's enough to finish us off. RIght Venomoth." The Venomoth rose into the air a little shakily before nodding affirmative. "Good. Let's go. Psybeam!"
Venomoth gathered energy before shooting off a Psybeam headed straight for Flygon.

"Hey I want some of the fun too. Magmar, Mach Punch!"
"Teleport!!!!!" Xeo tried to teleport away, but the Mach Punch was too fast, and it hit him directly. He flew through the air but he managed to twist his body around and land on his feet. Before he could do anything though, he took another Mach Punch to the face and was done.
"Damn," Rai said as Zero avoided the Psybeam and Xeo fainted. "Zero, lets go with another ShatterStorm!"
{No problem. These guys are really starting to piss me off.} He fired off a second ShatterStorm which hit Venomoth before it could react and knocked it out.
"What is that move!" Mirely said angrily as she returned her Venomoth. "I don't think I've ever seen it before."
"Excuses excuses. You just leave the rest to me. Lett's go with another Mach Punch!"
"ShatterStorm! Quick succession!" Rai commanded. The Mach Punch collided with the first ShatterStorm, canceling it out, but the Magmar couldn't react of the second one and took the brunt of the attack head on. "One more!" Rai shouted, and Zero flared his wings, before they dropped. "Zero! What happened." Before Zero could answer, a flamethrower shot toward him. Just before he was hit though, he vanished. The flamethrower impacted at translucent barrier.
{What happened?} Zero asked as he reappeared next to Rai, who hopped back, startled. "I don't quite know," he responded.
The flamethrower dissipated and the barrier fell, revealing...Xeo! But he wasn't the same as before, he was larger, his features more defined. He was no longer a Ralts...he has evolved into a Kirlia!
"Mid-Battle evolution! And a new move!" Mirely said astonished! "I thought you'd taken that pokemon out Issac!"
"I did! Don't blame me. You were taken out in one hit. Let's go! Mach Punch!" The Magmar rushed forward, before slamming it's Mach Punch...into another barrier. It flew backwards and crashed into the ground. It hopped up, but it seemed...confused?
Rai scanned Xeo with his pokedex. [i]Psycho Shield, a Psychic-Type Special Move. It reflects any non-Super Effective Move. Maximum uses 10. Cannot be used more than twice in succession. [/i]
"Interesting," Rai said, before Zero collapsed next to him. "Zero!" he cried out in alarm, but he got no response. He quickly pulled out Zero's modded pokeball and return it. The ball would restore Zero's strength, but it would take some time. He turn and saw that Xeo was on his last legs. "It's no use," he said to himself. "We're out of options. I need another pokemon!"
"Alright kid, let's finish this," Issac said as he strode forward casually. "And then I'll be collecting your pokemon." Rai's eyes hardened as he he heard issac's words, and his fist's clenched. Without thinking, he rushed forward and caught Issac across his stomach in a spear-like move. Issace though, was much stronger than Rai, and managed to spin around and throw him into the grass. As Rai was falling though, he'd managed to grab Issacs bag. Without thinking he jammed his hand intot he bag, grasped an object and pulled it out. It was a black pokeball. "A control ball?" Rai question. "Of course you thugs would have these!" He threw the ball, releasing the pokemon.
"MARSHTOMP!" the Marshtomp that emerged said. It leveled its glaze on Issac, sending him a sharp look.
"A Marshtomp! Perfect. Hopefully it listen! Let's go Marshtomp! Use Water Gun!" The Marshtomp turned back, and gave Rai a long look, before it nodded and rushed toward Magmar. It let loose a jet of water from its mouth that his Magmar dead on. The Magmar groaned in pain befor countering with a Mach Punch. it flew toward Marshtomp, who Rai knew was not fast enough to avoid it. Unless..."Dig!" Rai said. The Marshtomp quickly dug a hole, disappearing into the ground just a Magmar reached where it had been. A couple feet behind it, Marshtomp hopped back out of the ground, brushing dirt of itself as it did. It then pointed at the ground, and then at Rai, who understood immediately. "Earthquake!" he shouted, and Marshtomp ginned viciously, before stomping on the ground, causing the ground to rumble. Magmar, caught off guard fell to the ground, where it met Marshtomp's second water gun. Just like that, it was over.
"Damn you kid. Let's get out of here Ize," Issac said. Mirely nodded, laughing at his performance as he ran away. She turned back to Rai, nodded and winked, and ran after him. "We'll meet again," she called back.
Rai collapsed to the ground after they left. "Thanks Marshtomp," Rai said. "You can go now. I appreciated it." MArshtomp didn't leave, but did quite the opposite and moved over to Rai, sitting down on the ground beside him. "You want to stay then?" Marshtomp nodded, and Rai smiled. "No problem. I'll name you later...as soon as I wake up," he said, before laying down and passing out.

[Shadow Zero]

Shimon continued walking...for about five minutes. Then he got impatient. He knew what he wanted and he knew where it was, but this way would take to long. He had Mithran use teleport to take them all to a wooded area west north-west of the Pewter City Museum. They were now at the edge of a bunch of Scyther, all of them turning their heads momentarily towards the trio before going back to their training. All except one who walked forward and, upon being close enough, let loose a challenging cry. Exactly What Shimon had been hoping for. He had Mithran and Blaze work together to take on the Scyther. Even two on one it was difficult, and the Poketex said that the Scyther was five levels higher then them at 16. After a furious battle of one attack after another being exchanged and injuries on all sides, The Scyther was kneeling on the gound, panting heavily. To tired to fight with difficulty moving, and Blaze and Mithran were in similar conditions. Even so, they put forth the extra effort to stand tall and proud.

Shimon walked up to the Scyther and looked upon it. "From this day forth, I shall personally see to every aspect of your training. You shall travel with me, and will be named Kazan." The Scyther just glares, to proud to admit defeat, but knowing that it has lost the battle. At a word from Shimon they are all teleported to the Pokemon center where the Pokemon are healed, then the three Pokemon and Shimon head back out to the edges of the Viridian Forest for some training.

[Mr.WHAM]

As Abrax commanded Doom to initiate his attack, he had forgotten about the other attacks that the two had launched so he stood in front of Gible as the Mud-Slap & Fire Spin landed put on top him. "RAAAAAAHH!!" He screamed out, his eyes connecting with Gible's. The trainer had barely even met the Pokemon, but he was not hesitating to defend him. The attacks hit him with with full force as he was trapped inside the raging inferno with Doom on the outside. He released Apollo and told him to use Incinerate. As he did this, Doom went and released Ominous Wind. The Team Magma members managed to dodge the Incinerate and as the two attacks clashed, an explosion erupted from them knocking Doom and propelling Lia and Nico further as they landed behind Track.
"Hey cutie, what you got there? Hmmm?" She looked at Squirtle and shied away in disgust as she commanded Vulpix to attack once more. "Swift & Dougy you use Dig!"
"Doom, use fire off a Shadow Ball and rotate two more in your hands and get us out of this Fire Spin! Apollo use Tackle!" Cyndaquil charger forward as he went forward. Doom recovered and managed to get off on of the Shadow Balls before he was hit by well placed Dig. Cyndaquil dodged the Swift as he went in and crashed head first into Vulpix. It would not be an easy battle as his Pokemon had been through a lot as it is.
"Vulpix, Extrasensory!" Lia said as Abrax's eyes widened and Cyndaquil was hit.
"You ok little fella?" Abrax said to both Gible and Apollo. Apollo got up and was barely standing and the Gible seemed to paralyzed with fear and both were sweating as the flames roared around them. This battle would not be fun. That Dugtro had barely used a move and even after Apollo's Blaze had just activated, he did not want an extrapowerful Vulpix as the Pokemon's ability was Flash Fire. He really needed Track's Squirlt to help out with this one because it turned from fun to fiery within instants.

[Hunderas]

After ending there meal Roy said "Alright more training if were going to beat at least one of Brock's Pokemon." The four of them stood up and went back to there field. "Alright Abra, I need you to try to use a move other than Teleport okay? Why don't you try Teleporting just Sciz or Chimchar when they get near you." Abra stood up and walked into place. "Abra you ready?" Abra shook its head yes. "Sciz go try and touch him." Scizor took off leaving a cloud of dust getting inches to Abra. Abra picked his arms up and pointed them at Scizor. In a flash Scizor disappeared and reappeared behind Abra. Scizor turned around only to get the same thing happen again. Abra fell over exhausted. "Abra are you okay?" Abra just laid there and went to sleep. "Chimchar your up." Chimchar came running off the table to join the others. "Chimchar go use scratch, Sciz dodge." the two went back and forth dodging each others attacks. The trainer from before came back. "Guess your the only one who I get to try him out on. Go Arcanine!" The mysterious trainer opened a black pokeball and a Arcanine came out. "Now Arcanine Flamethrower." "Sciz, Chimchar get away now, Abra Teleport out of the way." they all did as was told and the Flamethrower missed all four of them. Sciz go Bullet Punch, Chimchar Scratch, Abra use Teleport to get them out of there once there done." Scizor closed in on the Arcanine. "Arcanine Extreme Speed." the Arcanine took off at high speed hitting all three of the Pokemon then headed straight towards Roy. Abra Teleported himself into the way and stood up putting both his hand out in front of him, stopping the Arcanine with a confusion. Abra Teleported the Arcanine back to his side of the field and dropped him. Abra started to glow, he grew taller, bigger, and for some reason a spoon came out of nowhere. "Go Kadabra Confusion." Kadabra shot a blue circle towards the Arcanine. "Arcanine, Crunch." The Arcanine ran towards Kadabra Biting down onto his arm. "Sciz now Bullet Punch, Chimchar Scratch." the two pokemon came up and hit the Arcanine with there respectful moves. Chimchar let loose a flurry of fireballs towards the opponent. "Uhh... Ember?" Chimchar let loose another set of fireballs. Arcanine got hit by all of them and started to glow red.

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"Okay! Kimina! use Astonish! Hana! try to dodge and use Psyshock!" Seishin was helping his Ralts train as she was too nervous to enter a real battle and his Misdreavus was trying really hard to hold back, after a while he had learned that Misdreavus was actually at a decent level of 10, while Hana had only managed to level up once. Hana had been trying her hardest but everytime she had to run away from another Astonish attack she tired herself out before she could even attack, or charge an attack. but what always got her was Kimina's scary face which had her frozen and knocked out before she could even remember any experience.

"It looks like this won't work Kimina..." he said later on while holding Hana in his arms unconscious "You ghost move knocks her out before she can gain experience.....we need her to face a real battle". the Misdreavus nodded and looked around hoping to find somewhere to rest, she was starving and wanted to feed off of Hana's nightmares, it sounded cruel, but it helped the small Ralts relax when Kimina removes those thoughts, an odd symbiotic relationship, but one that proved useful.

[Aqua Girl]

"Quinn~ Higher!" said smiling as the wind blew past her hair, she was so happy she didn't even notice the sun had begun to set. Suddenly the flaps on Quins back shifted and She Dodged left to the mouth of a cave as a swarm of Crobats flew by. "Good job Quinn, I wouldn't want to have to fight them..."

Quinn growled as she heard a ghost Pokemon, "Whats wrong Quin- S-Seishin?" She said as she saw the older boy playing with two Pokemon. His ralts and a Mischievous, "D-Did you catch that new pokemon?"

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

After a little rest and Relaxation he saw it, the streak in the wind flying away from a large amount of crobats, it landed down before he could really say anything and the sound awoke Hana, breaking her link to Kimina, and leaving the latter hungry, but soon he realized who the owner of the large Pokemon was, it was his classmate Saya, she was a few years younger but she was still able to just join his class, she was also the proud partner of a Lugia, Quinn, Hana really liked both of them, and he hoped Kimina would too, but after making her lose her lunch....who knew.

"Saya? fancy meeting you out here?especially this late." when she asked her question he took no time in answering." mhm, this is Kimina, I didn't catch her per say, but she didn't want to be lonely, so she joined me pretty easily heh, not much of a trainer I turned out to be, eh? but, how are you and Quinn doing?" he asked.

[Mr.WHAM]

The silent Nico simply looked at his sister as she was elated. They seemed to be winning this fight. She smiled as she ordered her Vulpix to attack again. "Extrasensory!!!" The Vulpix's eyes stared directly at Apollo as the attack psychically sped towards him. Apollo braced for the attack, ready to have given up his usefulness, when there was a rush and Doom blocked the attack by standing in it's path. Unfazed, he fully intended to free his partner. The black Pokemon held its ground, but it could be seen that this battle had to end soon. Resuming the command that Abrax had ordered, He formed a massive Shadow Ball above his head, letting it levitate there as he created two more spinning versions of the technique in his hands. The giant Shadow Ball crashed down on the Fire Spin, eliminating it. He then took the two Shadow Balls and shot one off at Dugtrio, who dodged it, by going underground. The second though, was a direct hit as Doom smashed it straight into his face, slamming the Pokemon aw"ay. Abrax now free, was ready to push his Pokemon even further. He scanned bot of them quickly with his Poketex. "The two of them are both at 16...impressive you two. Let's make this count. Apollo use your new move Quick Attack!" Apollo glowed white as he charged forward and hit Vulpix taking the Pokemon down a few hits. Doom was suddenly hit in the face with a Mud-Slap as the Pitch-Black Pokemon faded, resting in the world of shadows too weak to battle further.
"Boy...we gave it our best..."
"Don't worry, I know you did."
"Next time...we...I...will be better..."

Track watched as the battle continued. He gave Squirtle the potion and quickly joined in the battle. "Okay Squirtle go behind Dugtrio and use water gun. Don't give it a chance to take down Apollo." The Squirtle quickly jumped behind Dugtrio and launched water gun. Track then remembered that he had not returned Riolu who was currently taking a nap in a nearby tree. "Riolu. Get up right now and use force palm on that Vulpix." Riolu came jumping out of a tree and quickly attacked the Vulpix. Track stared at the girl who was battling. "I am pretty cute aren't I. Oh and by the way my how do you like my Riolu and it's amazingly fast speed."

[Aqua Girl]

Quinn happily nuzzled her face up against Hana's face. Hana was also a Pokemon that did not battle much and they got along very well. Saya looked at the Mischievous and gave it a hug and then measured her self to Seishin, "Uah! Your taller than before! its been almost a year since I last saw you. (after the accident?)" She said smiling, "So what were you doing out this late?"

Saya climbs on Quinn's back and extends out a hand, "Quin is allot stronger. We can take you all on a quick ride, quin has been flying all day, so we can only be up for a bit, If you think you can handle it~." She smiles and looks happily at him.

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

He laughed when she mentioned he was taller, he hadn't noticed but he was a slow grower, and they were about the same height a year ago. "Maybe you just got a little shorter Saya" he joked, "Well, we were training earlier today, Hana wants to get stronger but she's having trouble, and Kimina has trouble holding back...." he said as he stared at the Misdreavus who non-chalantly looked away whistling.

"You up to it Quinn? he asked the overexcited but tired Lugia, it seemed it wouldn't rest until it proved how strong it had become, Hana was nervous, but since she trusted Quinn she got on as long as she grabbed tightly to Seishin. "I'll have you know.....this is my first time flying Saya......nothing too fancy okay?" he asked nervously as Kimina floated alongside them, wanting to see Seishin and Hana's reactions.

[Aqua Girl]

"Right!" Saya says as Quinn feels exactly what she does, suddenly Quinn's flaps shoot upward as a supernatural wind surrounds her body. Slowly quin spreads her wings as she begins to raise, suddenly she flaps her wings down shooting into the air flying fast farther up more and more. the ones on her back seem scared besides Saya as they see the mountains look smaller and smaller. Suddenly they burst through the clouds, as Quinn stops there high above the clouds, her wings spread wides as if they stay stuck in time looking at the sun setting over the golden clouds. "Great view huh?"

Hana held tightly to Seishin as they kept ascending as he tried to calm her down "we'll be fine Hana, it's not that....high....at...............all...." he looked down and saw just how high they were going and as soon as they broke past the wall of the clouds Seishin was comedically holding on to Saya as Hana was to him. "This...is pretty high up Saya..." he said with a nervous excitement in his voice, he had always wanted to fly, but feared it to death since he disliked heights.

Afterward both he and Hana were looking down, Kimina barely catching up as it was a long climb for her, but all of them were astonished....or running out of oxygen, but it was still amazing to see far beyond the world they knew from one standpoint (or flypoint) was breathtaking. "This is amazing Saya, Quinn, you are seriously awesome, he complimented both of them as he got used to the height slowly.

[Aqua Girl]

"See its not to bad once you reach the clouds caous then its like your not a foot above the clouds. Me and quin come here to just sit back and enjoy our time here and get away from the world~" Saya says blushing to the fact Seishin was grabbing tight to her. Their peacefulness shattered by a ear piercing screech. Suddenly the flaps on Quin move to the side as they barrel roll to the left barely avoiding a Hyper-beam. "Quin get ready to dodge somethings off about him. Rayquaza this is not the time.... why would you attack me you knew me since you were a baby."

The Rayquaza was not the normal color, it was red all over it seemed very angry about something. With a massive cry it generates a ball of energy firing it at Quinn, "Quin Aeroblast!" Without a moments hesitation quin fired the blast at the Hyper-beem the blasts clashing and exploding sending Rayquaza running off, quin took much more damage from the attack using her wings and body to block the others from damage as they slowly descended back to the cave. Quin lands with a thump and a sad groan.
