Mostly I'm reading Displaced fics, New World New Way fics, and those ones where an MLP character gets raised by some other well-known character, like Deadpool or Samus Aran.

 

Displaced fics?

You mean Human in Equestria or the other way around?

 

Eh, I can say that a lot of Human in Equestria doesn't catch my interest based on the fact that nearly 9 out of every 10 fics are the same thing; there are a few that change it up, so those are the ones I read.

 

New World New Way fics?

 

And I've never read a story where one character is raised by another, well known character, like Deadpool or Samus Aran. Sounds fairly interesting, mind giving me a link of the one you like best?

 

I review fics.

 

So I'm still in the middle of catching up with this season, but in the mean time...

It's completely solid and actually quite heavy, bigger than I expected, too.

Though in all seriousness, that's actually a pretty cool statue. If I had to get a statue it'd have to be either:

replicas of the original designs for the Elements of Harmony

The Tree of Harmony

The Crystal Heart

 

Basically a replica of something in MLP.

In a Displaced fic, a cosplayer goes to Equestria, buys something from a shady vendor, and suddenly finds themself in Equestria, in the body of the character they were cosplaying as. One I'm reading at the moment that I really like is called An Undertale of Equestria.

 

New World New Way fics take place in a universe where all the nice humans in the Pokemon world were turned into pokemon. They and all the pokemon were sent to Equestria by Arceus, while the not-so-nice humans were left behind. The original fic is called A New World, A New Way.

 

The last group is a series of fics by Tatsurou. One I really like is called Another Hatchling.

I am currently trying to muscle through Fallout Equestria; though the fics I am currently reading, and enjoying, are The Education of Clover the Clever, Sunset's Little Twilight, Anon Goes to Prison, and The Bridge: A Godzilla-MLP Crossover.

 

There are more that I'm reading but I don't really view them highly since, for one reason or another, they are not that great.

2) It's really good! It's kinda the new Five Score Divided by Four.

 

3) Read it! It has Metroid stuff!

 

4) Don't have time for a massive thing like Fallout:  Equestria. Might look into the other ones at some point.

Never played a Metroid game before, but then again I've never played a Fallout game either. It sounds interesting, but it isn't so interesting that I feel like I need to add it to my "Read Later" folder. Sorry.

 

Don't have time for a massive thing like Fallout:  Equestria. Might look into the other ones at some point.

 

It IS long, probably the longest story I've undertaken so far. It is interesting, but at the same time there are things that make me not enjoy the story as much as I would like too.

I keep getting annoyed by how she keeps besting Twilight in magic.

Wasn't Twilight supposed to be a super prodigy with an amount of magic in her that Celestia hadn't seen since Starswirl? Who lived 1000 years apart?

That was just sheer power. She's now supposed to be wiser and stronger and having access to a private collection of books at the royal castle, she should have unfair advantage. Plus her element of harmony being pretty much part of her now, plus she ascending to alicorn level.

 

They they tell me some unicorn studying on her own without really any connections to get as much source material to study is capable of upping all of that?

Not only here but also at the start of the season when her magical artifact ended up just being fake so she was being better while she also took the time to make it look like it was the wand.

 

Also, Starswirl's spell? For starters, how did she get that? Aren't all Starswirl's spells at Celestia's castle? Didn't Twilight write Celestia and Luna about the incident at the beginning of the season? There should be a wanted poster right there for the guards to see. I get that she could have gone in if it was just the guards, but it wouldn't have hurt to see it unless the video I saw skipped part of the intro I might have missed.

 

I think I'm not too far off when I say we all saw her change of heart coming, but personally, I think MLP has that as a very weak spot. Their change of heart moments are too much of a quick 180; they are rushed. It happened with Diamond Tiara's and arguably with Sunset Shimmer in EQG1, and now with Starlight Glimmer. Also with Gilda: I could get behind her change in her actions, but she can't be all "my dear friends!" so vocally all of a sudden without some embarrassment or some other kind of not-so-merry-lovey-cutesy feeling. None of them can. That is probably what makes the difference between a sappy ending and a... uhh.. not-sappy, one.... yeah.... that.

 

I expected Twilight to sit down, analyze the paper, and figure out how to change it up to be able to go back without dragging Starlight Glimmer around. Or she should have at least mentioned thinking about it and find out how to take it out out of the way. It's a big elephant in the room IMO.

 

Then I also wanted them to give us a timeline with more than one of the major villains at a time since ruining the Mane6 team would mean they fail to stop all of them. So Nightmare Moon gets to rule, Discord frees himself not long after, Chrisalis goes to invade following that, and King Sombra resurrects, finalizing with Tirek escaping his prison. Wouldn't all of them kind of clash? but this is not really a complaint but a little something I would have wanted to see.

 

 

For next season, either Starlight Glimmer ends up as Princess of Time or something like that, or IDK....

Oh, I wasn't around all day yesterday and I'm sure most already saw it, but for as long as it can last, here's the Youtube episode.
