Toffee.
It sucks that we didn't end up seeing Coach Sombra or Professor Chrysalis.Cranky is a teacher, tho... I know they did this to protect themselves from a potential backlash, but after the three movies have aired, I think it is kind of a waste for Sunset Shimmer not to be canon in the regular universe. She's turning out to be one of my favorite characters of MLP altogether...I think whats funnier is the fact that homeworld-Twi basically dumpped Brad, despite the fact that neither of them really know what just happened. Jake the Sage
And yeah, some more parallels could have been drawn there, and some elements can't completely match (like how Spike + Rarity can't really be a thing, and Shining Armor + Cadence probably neither since it'd be a student/staff scandal of some sort... unless some detail is escaping me. Well Shining in the EG World is an "alumni", meaning he's already graduated. As for Cadence she is the dean, which should mean she is the highest authority figure at Crystal Prep, but since there is a principle it probably means she is Vice Principle; the use of Dean is to differentiate Crystal Prep as a "high marks school" from the "normal" Canterlot High. So it's possible that Cadence and Shining could be in a relationship in the EG World; they might not be the same age though. Of course, this isn't accounting for the fact that Cadence didn't just smoke through the teaching program and quickly rose through the ranks to become Dean. I think whats funnier is the fact that homeworld-Twi basically dumpped Brad, despite the fact that neither of them really know what just happened. Also, this fandom . . . again:[spoiler=Fandom]

Jake the Sage
It's weird, I like the "Friendship Games" and all, it has the best animation and second-best story line, but I find it completely lacking in the sense of memorable villains. In the first movie we had Sunset Shimmer, former student of Celestia and someone who wanted things her way and wanted them now; while in the second movie we had the sirens who wanted to return to Equestria to take over and get revenge. In the "Friendship Games" we had . . . . ummm . . . . Midnight Twilight- but she was more there to close Sunset's story arch. We had Principle Cinch, but she was cliche and never really got much of an ending. It was more along the lines of, "Yeah you know about magic but can't tell anyone credible about it." Though, really, considering all of Canterlot High and now some students of Crystal Prep know . . . not a big deal. And I honestly can't count the other competing students from Crystal Prep because I couldn't honestly remember ANY of their names. I only remember some of them, Lemon Zest and Sour Sweet specifically, because I've seen enough artwork with them that I can remember them; even then I get the two confused. The first two had good villains, though Sunset Shimmer was still written cliche as Hell, she was memorable. Also the "Friendship Games" brought NOTHING we haven't seen before. In fact it's a combination of the first two movies. Stealing Magic and abusing said magic to transform into a she-demon. But, all in all, it's still written better than the original movie, better animation than all others, but lacks the numerous good songs that Rainbow Rocks has. So again this is my second favorite movie despite it retreading old ground and doesn't have memorable villains- save for Midnight Twilight. Speaking of which:

Speaking of which:the funny thing is. before friendship games came out, i seen so many fan arts of a evil twilight. after 5 years (maybe the fanart started after the crystal empire episode with sombra) we get to see an evil twilight. was expecting a monarch of her in season 5 or 6. But there is a certain fanfic comic close to it I knew it

But there is a certain fanfic comic close to it Yeah an Evil Twilight has been in existence since the Crystal Empire first appeared and we learned about Dark Magic. Hell! There has been discussion about what an Anti-Mane Six or Elements of Disharmony would consist of and what not. In fact that's why the Shadowbolts are sometimes called "the Anti-Mane Six" for that specific reason.
The Warden
Well, right now there is the seed of an anti-Mane 6. Starlight Glimmer would be the anti-Twilight, and Wind Rider would now be the anti-Rainbow Dash, due to how self-serving he was and getting dishonourably discharged. Jake the Sage
Well, right now there is the seed of an anti-Mane 6. Starlight Glimmer would be the anti-Twilight, and Wind Rider would now be the anti-Rainbow Dash, due to how self-serving he was and getting dishonourably discharged. Maybe, but it GREATLY breaks the formula considering the Map is the central object of this season. So it should be any important developments are caused and/or brought on by the Mane Six being sent to where ever the Map needs them. Wind Rider appeared in a NON-Map Based story. So if he did become the Anti-Rainbow Dash it'd break what MLP generally does. Don't get me wrong, it'd be cool if that did happen. But I don't see it. Speaking of things I didn't see coming, anyone read the newest MLP IDW Comic?

Cobax
I am sensing a pattern here now. Starlight=Twilight, Wind Rider=Dash, ?=AJ, ?=Rarity,?=fluttershy, ?=pinkie pie. gonna be like the Sinister six now. one curious mind came to me. Equestria girls 3 ending scene where princess twi explain something about a time-loop. u don't think she is refering about the last two episodes of season 5, do u? Cobax
Leaving this here:That was something He was a princess before, so....not full on crossdressing but at least he gets a full dialouge well crossdressing. but is he crossdressing in the entire episode? The Warden
Ooooooohhhhh. I get it, this is the partner to the previous episode. So while Rarity and Applejack are away in Manehatton, Big Macintosh is cross-dressing for the sisterhooves games. So yeah, he'll probably be cross-dressing the entire time. Toffee.
I highly doubt Mac would crossdress the whole episode.
The Warden
He'll probably get outed eventually, but for at least 1/2 of the ep he'll be cross-dressing... or they get someone else instead and he's just a one-shot gag.

Toffee.
Meant to comment last night- I love this week's episode. Was literally laughing the entire time the Social was going on, if only because of how ridiculous it was. Ending bits were really damn cute. ... Still find it funny how Mac kept the dress on, despite the fact they knew/let him in anyway.
