Jake the Sage
If I remember correctly, HUB said they would either show it before the change, or show it as the change began. I forget. I had heard it was going to be premiering the 17th. Also, since people apparently play the MLP TCG at my college I've officially bought a deck and have not one a single match yet. Sleepy
I got the first starter decks, just to have a collection of the mane6, and because I like trying out TCGs and this one had an interesting twist. Though for me, no one really is willing to play with me. Everyone is respectably uninterested or start going nuts because its about ponies..... I made 3 decks with my cards and once every new moon or so I play the decks against one another. An issue with the cards is that it already sort of formed a metagame and it doesn't even properly spread as a TCG yet..... Another one that usually turns me down from these kinds of card games, is when the illustrations are pretty much 100% composed of the show's screenshots rather than actual art made for the cards. Other than that, I actually like the concept.

Shradow
On a more positive note, rainbow rocks was a huge improvement over the first movie. Considering I thought the first one was awesome, this is great news.

Shalltear Bloodfallen
So I at last gave in to curiousity and watched Rainbow Rocks despite the original plans of waiting for a DVD rip or atleast TV version.
It feels strange to admit this, but holy hell am I DIGGING every single song that the Dazzlings did to the point I'm honestly pissed that the Main Seven(? Since Sunshet Shimmer) "interrupted" them on Welcome To The Show. The fact that they are also Sirens (Called it so hard from the teasers), just makes it downright creepy that I ended up liking their performances WAAAAAY more then the Rainboom's Ingram outdid himself yet again

It's really the only thing that made sense considering that MLP heavily pulls from Greek Mythology. Though I have to say out of all of the songs in the movie it's Trixie's that I like the best. So here is a question for everyone. If you were a part of the battle of the bands, what would your song be? Astro Dude
Um, guys, I brought this up on a different thread but HUB has now become Discovery Family. And just when we finally thought we had a nostalgic channel. It's like Toon Disney all over again. But even though I haven't seen it, Rainbow Rocks well Rocks. But the end saw the Canterlot high'sTwilight Sparkle, so the girl that was... gone in the first movie that Sunset was talking about must've been the Canterlot High Sunset Shimmer. Equestria Girls 3 anyone?

But the end saw the Canterlot high'sTwilight Sparkle, so the girl that was... gone in the first movie that Sunset was talking about must've been the Canterlot High Sunset Shimmer. Now that you mention it yeah, it's a very interesting point. What did happen to Sunset's counterpart in the human world? (I've forgotten if/how movie one adresses it) We know that Twilight's is evidently not enrolled at CHS but has been keeping track from god knows where. No clue on Sunset. Equestria Girls 3 anyone? I'd be quite surprised if we dont see Equestria Girls 3 considering the post-credits thing screams sequel bait. Regarding the transition into Discovery Family, I do quite honesty not care even a little as long as they dont drop stuff like FiM. Reason being I am unable to get the Hub/Discovery Family as a channel over where I live. Also: HD version for the people that dont want cam quality! (And dear lord did the cameras not do this one justice ._. ) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x285qru_my-little-pony-equestria-girls-rainbow-rocks-1080p-part-1_animals (Part 2 is in the description of Part 1)

Jake the Sage
What do you people think about this?http://www.slashfilm.com/my-little-pony-movie-2017/ Honestly the potential was always there for a real movie movie. I mean we've already got two Equesria girls that HAVE seen theatrical releases. Apparently they did so well Hasbro is confident enough with a widespread release. I'm going to guess the lot involves time travel and Starswirl the Bearded. Though if they make the "Return of Queen Chrysalis" into a movie, slightly edited to continue canon, I won't object. I'm more concerned about the Monopoly and Candy Land movies. I mean first TETRIS and now this!?
Shradow
So we go from the first one to the 3rd one? K. lol at Gainax's just being a recolored Stocking. And I'd love an MLP movie. I'm sure the quality would be at least that of the show/EG movies so I'm not worried about it.

Cobax
Anyone ever realize the Rainbow Rock also shows that Band members should not argue and try to fix things. Like how Metallica has to have a band therapist. Well the movie shows like any real life band.

Like how Metallica has to have a band therapist. Well the movie shows like any real life band. The movie shows off more realistic characters to be honest. I love the Equestrian versions of course, but seeing them bicker and argue- letting egos and different personalities get in the way- was refreshing to say the least. Also I'm a little disappointed people in the fandom are upset at how "simple and plain" the Dazzlings are. Like they're supposed to expect the characters to have a lot more depth. Also . . . Shalltear Bloodfallen
While I'll give to the people asking for more material with the Dazzlings, personally I'm quite happy with what we did get since it's still vastly superior compared to the likes of Sombra. While the Dazzlings are limited in their appearance, it's enough to get a feel of what motivates them to do what they do and it's enough to establish bases for all 3 but still allow fan-theories. Sombra on the other hand..... what did they actually tell us about him beyond "Oooh, he's EVIL"? (and I ask specificly canon material)
Timeline15
Yeah, I liked the dazzlings (and they'll inevitably be fleshed out in the comics eventually, all the other villains except tirek have at this point). Regarding Sombra, no, nothing canon ever hinted at why he was evil, or how he came to have alicorn magic (neither was mentioned in the comics either, as all the development was given to an AU version, due to the main one being, you know, dead and all). Shradow
So I finally watched Rainbow Rocks, it took me forever to remember to do so even after I bought it. XD The animation was definitely better, and I especially liked the variety of facial expressions, as that tends to be the most noticeable part to me. Also how Twilight had a tendency to hold her arms at certain angles and keep her hands balled in fists like she was still in Equestria, thought that was a nice touch. It was nice seeing the human world for the first part of the movie, it only made the wait for the ponies to show up more exciting. I loved Twilight getting to the human world immediately WITH THE HELP OF KYOJI SCIENCE!! Also, how did Pinkie win that hand of cards? There aren't even 4 Jokers in a deck. When they were having that slumber party, anyone notice the game they were playing had a human Mane-iac on the box art? And Maude showing up was hilarious. Dat Daft Punk Rarity. Seeing Buff Biceps playing the violin was funny, and yay Vinyl Scratch to the rescue! Sunset Shimmer was really really good in this movie. And that world's Twilight in the end?! Definitely getting a third movie. That movie totally... rocked. Also, because it took me so long to watch it, I only just learned I have one of the bugged copies that plays Chapter 6 before Chapter 5 if you play the movie from the main menu and not scene select. Filled out the application for the replacement so that'll come eventually.
Jake the Sage
Also how Twilight had a tendency to hold her arms at certain angles and keep her hands balled in fists like she was still in Equestria, thought that was a nice touch. That was one of my favorite little tidbits of the movie- catching Twilight basically making her hands "hooves" whenever she could was nice to see. I loved Twilight getting to the human world immediately WITH THE HELP OF KYOJI SCIENCE!! I'm indifferent to this. While I can understand some peoples concern about how legit that is, this being a movie about technicolored horses, I'll agree the prospect of people constantly moving back and forth between worlds is a bad idea. This is based off of the comic book with the alternate dimension (the one with the good King Sombra) Also, how did Pinkie win that hand of cards? There aren't even 4 Jokers in a deck. When they were having that slumber party, anyone notice the game they were playing had a human Mane-iac on the box art? Didn't notice that. Now I'm going to have to go back and check myself. And Maude showing up was hilarious. Maud has best cameo. Vinyl Scratch to the rescue! Fire the Bass Cannon!!! And that world's Twilight in the end?! Definitely getting a third movie. We've already had confirmation on a third movie. And since I found this funny:
