I thought we already had Applejack's. Remember the family road trip?

Nope. Applejack's eyes did not go rainbow? Then she doesn't have the key.

For it to be a key episode, she has to be learning an Honesty-related lesson, and there'll be a notorious object being given at some point.

Let me guess, Applejack will be honest with Diamond Tiara?

I don't understand what you're going at there, but we know Diamond Tiara will always be an a-hole until the near end of the series, and when DImaond Tiara is involved it's the CCC's problems and not the Mane 6's. All 6 of them can kick her ass anytime.

And according to the future episode synopsis's, there will be one episode involving her and the return of the Flim-Flam bros and her plight against an all-cure tonic that worked on Granny Smith. That's something more attuned to testing Honesty in a way. But we gotta look for the Rainbow eyes and shiny objects; It's been obvious and clear since the Pinkie/Cheese Sandwich episode.

You know, with regards to said 'keys'...
Anyone find it a little odd how that box has actual key holes, and yet, we keep getting rainbow-filled eyed?
Either the ponies themselves can turn into keys, OR somehow the Elements of Harmony have a hidden 'Turn-into-a-key' function, that only works with said rainbow powers.

Kinda just randomly want to say that I used to watch this show, but when one of my female friends stopped following it avidly and watching it with me, I stopped caring about it. I guess most of the fun was the bonding with my friend, and not so much to deal with the show itself. That, and I feel it just kept going down.

Personally, I did not follow Maud Pie's episode lesson. I feel like Twilight's logic at the end is very flawed and that the show should have either found a more legit "click" point to call Maud a friend, or simply accept them as not friends.

I'd say Maud Pie is the first episode of the season I didn't really like all that much. Much like how Pinkie Pie forced that donkey to be her friend and I wasn't completely satisfied with how she got away with it.

It depends. Some aspects are better than they were at season 1. Though to be fair, the show used to be more casual before. Now it's more strongly following episodes that recall other episodes and the continuity makes them less stand-alone. There's also the commercial decisions Hasbro shoves into the show like Twilight becoming a princess, which is something Lauren Faust originally said was not happening. There's also a little bit more brony fan service, which might get a little bit on the way at times too, not by actually affecting the plot of the episode, but how do I say it? "trying too hard".

Then there's how Hasbro shuts down it's fanbase like the project of "Fighting is Magic" which did come out by force by unanimous fans that completed the mane6 characters, but it could have been so much better if the original creators were able to work on it. . . . and more recently the Button Smash C&D, which doesn't even have the excuse of promoting anything untrue to the show. These are enough for some fans to just turn away and never come back.

Though I still like the show itself. It's still entertaining but I don't see it as THE BEST anymore with all the stuff it's carrying.

I still wait for it on Saturdays and do enjoy some of the references to anything.

If you look down on the first episodes you originally watched with your friend, and find out they don't appeal to you, I guess you really never liked the show to begin with as much as you liked hanging out with that girl. Which is fine. Been there (sort of) although not with ponies and not since many years ago.

Well, looks like it was another episode where only 1 of the Mane 6 and her friends got the spotlight this week.

And this was a pretty good episode to evoke a double moral standard that I didn't guess: Never lose honesty in what you stand for and have confidence in yourself while not basing it on lies. I am a little baked on the Flim Flam bro's plans. If their plan was to base their success on a placebo effect, then why didn't they at least say there was some sort of secret ingredient whatsoever? I mean based on what they did you can just mash apples and beet leaves together and you have a tonic. But I guess they were a little out of budget form their last scheme and they did have yet another catchy song to lure the naive ponies in. I mean, that was 2 hospitals worth of ponies to come to the show. Jeez.

So far we have:

Rarity: Rainbow Spool

Rainbow Dash: Wonderbolts Medal

Pinkie Pie: Boneless #1

Fluttershy: Flower

Applejack: Gold Coin

But what challenges "Magic"? And who grants Twilight a symbol that represents magic? Will it be seen in the finale?

Yeah, Twilight at the end.

Twilight: "Spike. Never, ever EVER take another book out of the library at the castle, without asking. Princess Cadence and Princess Luna have much better things to do than help me clean up Ponyville! Do you have any idea how hard it was to reverse all that dark magic?!"

I actually like this episode for two reasons despite it being a Rarity episode in a sense; she's my least favorite of the mane six.

First off it is probably the BEST Spike centered episode we've ever seen. I mean here he is playing a central role and it isn't for comic relief or anything else. he is given a clear problem and has to figure out what to do about it all the while having Owlicious (spelling?) remind him he might not be doing the right thing.

Secondly we get to see MORE of Twilight actually being a Princess for once. Maybe not as much as some might want, but for me it was a good amount. Hearing the Mayor refer to Twilight as "Princess Twilight" and the fact she was constantly running around Ponyville trying to figure out what was going on AND stop it . . . yeah . . . it was good. Also the ending where we also find out that Twilight, Cadence, AND Luna had to come and clean up the dark magic.

Now some people *coughArmcough* have made mention of why Celestia wasn't assisting as well.

Honestly?

I think Celestia would be useless. Yes, we've seen that she can preform dark magic and by that knows about it, but when it comes down to it Luna and Cadence have MUCH more experience than she does.

Now here is a question to the rest of you. I'm sure we all have an OC for MLP:FiM; I know I do. So, what would your OC be doing in this episode and why?

This week's episode was amusing. I mean, I've always wanted to see more episodes where Rarity is so 'different', so this one lived up to those expectations and then some.
Spike meant well with encouraging Rarity, despite the fact he didn't mean for it to end up THAT out of hand.
Either way, it was cute how it ended up resolving itself.
Oh, and I loved the BGMs in this episode, because they were like Rarity versions of the ones from Party of One. Since, you know, the music was fancy-ish wish hints of crazy in it, to make it a little unsettling.

Now some people *coughArmcough* have made mention of why Celestia wasn't assisting as well.

If I ever said that, it's likely as a joke.
I know full well Celestia isn't exactly what she used to be(given the context of the events of the series), and that Twilight is fully capable of doing things on her own, more so then Celestia can.
