It was surprising hearing it in the Trixie episode but, I guess it's a Hasbro thing with MLP now. Brings me back memories of Stormtroopers and Nazis in Lucasfilms.... The CMC got more screentime than some of the pets themselves, and Angel is as annoying as ever. I wanted to see more of each pet. Also, where did the phoenix baby go? isn't it supposed to be Spike's pet? I wanted that phoenix and the owl to appear in the same screen... Anyway, being a Spike episode, it naturally wasn't all that great, but seeing as how Tank finally got another appearance, and there was some nice humor asides, it was decent. You don't decide to work on documenting a fanbase based on a show that preaches love, friendship, and tolerance, and then get angry because it didn't sell as much as they expected it to. Either way it sounds kinda stupid. I personally see myself in a "I like the show but if the fanbase wants to treat themselves as a sort of united cult non-mainstream fans, I'm not going there" kind, so a documentary about fans of a show doesn't really sound as interesting as the show itself. Though I confess I'm mildly curious to see what the contents are. Not that I have money, but still.... In other news, did you guys hear about what happened to the "Mane6 Fighting is Magic" project? I don't know about laws, but I still call bs. I see fan projects of professional level everywhere, and they had a reason to shut this one down? Well.... I would have liked to read the details of what exactly did Hasbro's lawyers say to them, but that letter wasn't actually exposed to the public, just a brief explanation from the team, so I'll hold my horses (no pun intended) on the topic and see what happens. It's too easy to become gullable by the main crowd, and most fans didn't even know what they were hating on. Other than the concept itself, I DO think that the episode could have been longer, because the solution of the problem was adressed too quickly, and out of the blue. Not to mention Twilight never actually got to explain anything of what she had done to her friends. Not to be ill-minded or anything, but if I was one of them, it'd feel like a little SOMEONE was experimenting with the destinies of her friends without their concent, in attempts to creating the end result of the episode, which DOES feel like "stepping stones". [/spoiler] That's a funny place to start the spoiler at xD [spoiler=spoiler]Umm no, I don't really mind it depending on what they do with it. If you think about it, it makes sense that alicorns are not a natural species, because they would by now, have become just as common as unicorns, earth ponies, and pesasus are in that world. It actually makes me curious to see what the backstory is for the other princessess to have become who they are. The one dislikable thing, is the lifespan of alicorns compared to everyone else, becuase Twilight will probably even see her friends' grand grand grand children die of old age before she even stops being a teen. I recognize your claim, that the episode has flaws on itself, but hating the alicorn concept just for the sake of hating it is not the case for me. I'll have to see what they do with it in season 4 for me to decide if it's bad or good. Though I will miss librarian Twilight, and think it was her right place to be at... Now tons of fan-fics, comics, blogs, etc will have to be overhauled and rewritten to accommodate something that should have been saved for a SERIES finale, not a SEASON finale.
