Huh, how 'bout that, those are actually some of my least favorite episodes, for the same reasons (Scootaloo, and the musical)

If I had to choose my favorite episodes... Well, it'd be pretty difficult. I guess I really like Luna Eclipsed, because it had the return of Luna, and she's a really awesome character, but that's sorta just focusing on one aspect, and making it seem like that one aspect made the episode amazing.

The same goes for why Bridle Gossip isn't on my favorite episodes list. Zecora is a great character, but her appearing doesn't make the episode automatically perfect.

I didn't like Sleepless In Ponyville just because of Scootaloo
It was kind of a joke I made since I think we all know that I'm pretty much a Scootaloo fanboy
I liked it because it showed that Scootaloo and RD are really truly great with each other
[s]And I totally meant that in a shipping way[/s] (I joke)
Another reason was that it made Luna really seem like she was the protector of the night
With the fact of how Luna watches over your own dreams

I liked the Babs Seed one not just of Babs' adorable accent and the catchy musical part
But also because I liked it how it showed that people aren't always what you think they are
And it would make other's realize that bullies go through as hard of a time as their victims do

So there my reasons in full detail

As for Bridle Gossip I honestly didn't care for that episode too much
Zecora was a cool character and all, but I just couldn't really stand too much out of it other than that

1. Lesson Zero. Brilliant, twisted and interesting. Came right out of left field.
2. Party of One. Unique take, made Pinkie Pie into my favorite character.
3. Secret of My Excess and Return of Harmony. SoME mainly for having one of the sweetest scenes in the series and RoH because of Discord. Just Discord.

I know people who watch the show of course and am basing my opinions on what they tell me but no, I have not watched the show myself.

Maybe you should consider watching it and see for yourself
Now I'm not the one to shove it down your throat like some people would do
If you don't wanna watch then that's fine by me

Well before I watched the show I was just checking out clips from the show and why people had liked it, just like you are. Because I was curious to know and then I had finally decided to watch it and I enjoyed it.
So go figure it out yourself, others telling you what it's like wont get you anywhere
If your friend is telling you about his experince with his new mustang car
You're not getting the full experience for yourself

I don't get how anything that cartoon ponies could say would be funny, I guess this is just my opinion, people like what they like
Its because it was well written.
The show's creator took a look at the past gens, and almost threw up in her mouth.
As such, she created the show based on how she used to portray them when she was little.
...
And if you take into consideration who she is, what shes worked on, etc, etc...
You realize why it has a fanbase.
(That, and because the internet tends to be trollish with unicorns and rainbows)

As for your "first" episode, I recommend Swarm of the Century.
Season 1 episode, but that's irrelevant.
I just figure its a good starter.
Mostly, the first 2 episodes aren't really canon.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will get around to it eventually

Nice to meet you

Part of this, is you got off on the wrong foot by assuming its like Care Bears.
But that's EXACTLY the kind of stuff Faust wanted to improve on.
Basically she just broke the mold for everything, and did it her way.
End result was amazing, and goes to show that you can greatly improve something if you modernize it properly.

PREEEETY MUCH
I find it hilarious how AJ is all: "ABANDON THREAD.", over the situation.
Thing is~
Fluttershy has hidden, unlimited rage.
Discord has control of reality + sarcasm mode.
They could both kill eachother, if they wanted.

So basically, the episode:
00a.gif
...
Its 3:24 in the morning, as I post this. Lol.

How many hours are left before the episode? =D
Well, here's to another great episode. To be honest, it wasn't all as great as some other episodes, but it was still entertaining and John de Lancie in this episode just cheers me up. Surprisingly, Fluttershy is braver than usual in this episode, without a hint of anxiety at all surprisingly, which I thought would be more affective. But they decided to go with the tolerance and friendship route instead. Discord once more never ceases to entertain me since his comeback. Smart, Tricky, and manipulative as always. And I like how he said he'll use his magic for good "most of the time". Shows Discord isn't fully reformed, and conserves his chaotic values, which I hope that he will appear in later episodes as at least cameos. Compared to Trixie's reformation, I can see more of it with Discord, but there could of been a more ultimate climax. Nevertheless, it was a good episode with the return of everyone's favorite villain.

As some side notes, I believe Discord's magic is rather "the flip side" of things than dark magic. While "dark magic" can be a negative aspect, Discord's magic doesn't seem all harmful, but controlled, it can be used for a very effective use, which I can see why Celestia can depend on it. Or some other excuse...

And I believe some fans will be playing "Spot the Wilhelm Scream" in the next few last episodes after seeing this one.
