The Story As It Is Written Thus Far...

 

Throughout the Pokémon World, everything a trainer knew had been set in stone. Get your first Pokémon and catch others. Raise them up, having wondrous and incredulous adventures. Their ultimate goals, whatever they may be, is to create the perfect bond between themselves and their Pokémon. This was the way Pokémon trainers, coordinaters and masters lived. These are the stories of how the world has come to what it is now.

 

Across all the regions and the Orange Islands, select trainers had a dreams sent to them. The events in the dreams are still a mystery, but now the destines of the dreamers are intertwined. Once they meet, they will become rivals, lovers, friends, travelers and more. However, they are scattered across the world. Some of them will be connoisseurs, others Gym leaders but all will a true Pokémon Master. But first their adventures must begin...

[spoiler=Poke Rules]

 

#1 Rule - Virtually any Pokemon can be obtained in any region. NOTE: This does not mean that any Pokemon can be caught or that they exist everywhere in any region. You wouldn't find a Trapinch on Route one in Kanto because Trapinch naturally and only reside in the desert.

 

2. All regions are available at the start. This will change as the RP progresses, but for now, you can choose to reside in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. The Orange Islands are the midway point between Kanto and Johto, so while you can't start there, they are still accessible.

 

3. Any trainer can travel to any other region(plot aside). I don't know why you would, but you have the option.

 

4. Each trainer can start with max two Pokemon. Obviously, you must start with at least one. Every Pokemon is available to you to start with, including the starters. While the process of getting a starter from another region isn't simple, it is still possible. Just make sure the circumstances in which you obtained the starter are fair and make sense.

 

5. Legendaries are obtainable. There can exist multiple copies of lengendaries(besides those revealed in the anime), but only for plot purposes. You can also choose to start with a legendary or catch one at a later time. Regardless, one legendary per trainer. No exceptions. Also, one Uber-Legendary per trainer. No exceptions.

EDIT: Legendaries are no longer available as Starter Pokemon. But come on, there are over 500 others Pokemon to choose from.

 

6. Certain legendaries CANNOT be caught in any context. These include: Arceus, Giratina, Dialga, Palkia, and Genesect.

 

7. Please exercise common sense and discretion, and above all respect when forming teams. What I mean is this: Two trainers both own let's say a Blaziken. Please don't be number three, unless you absolutely must. There's no need for every trainer to have virtually the same team. Let's try to keep variety in the thread.

 

Team Specific Rules

 

1. As stated before, virtually every Pokemon is obtainable within reason. Each player starts off with at most two Pokemon, of you're choosing.

 

2. A trainers' two starting Pokemon can be no higher than LV11, and can know no more than two moves. These moves have to be acceptable for the Pokemon to learn at that level. EX: You're LV11 Squirtle will not know Giga Impact, which is a move only fully evolved Pokemon can use.

 

3. I reiterate: One Legendary, and one Uber-Legendary per team.

 

4. Variety is key. Try to keep your team different from other trainers' teams.

 

5. Multiples cannot exist on any one team. (Don't have 3 Charizards, a Venusaur, and 2 Blastoise.)

A new battle technique has been inserted into RP, though up by myself and Reaper of Shadows. Keep reading for details.

[spoiler=Move Evolution]

 

Reaper of Shadows:

 

As you may have seen in my last post(if not, go take a look, its pretty exciting), a new concept is being introduce, known as Move Evolution. I've pretty much explained the basis for that, but the entire idea will be added to the first page, and of course I'll go into more detail as the RP progresses. What is important to note is this:

 

You can ONLY undergo move evolution if you've fulfilled the following criteria:

 

1)You've COMPLETELY and TOTALLY mastered the move that you're evolving.

2)You've done the move a RIDICULOUS amount of times

3)You've run out of PP for that move(yes, you must've used all the PP for that move)

4)You are in the middle of a battle

 

Fufill those criteria, and you're eligible for Move Evolution. Keep in mind, an evolved move can ONLY be learned through naturally evolution. You can't wish for it, or TM it, or genetically engineer your pokemon, etc. Not possible. Also keep in mind, the stronger the move is normally, the harder and longer it takes to evolve, if it does at all. That being said, some moves obviously don't evolve, and some already have natural evolutions.

Scratch-Slash-Cut

Ember-Flame Thrower

Wrap-Bind

Water Gun-Hydro Pump

 

The list goes on and on. Some move, I repeat, can't evolve, including but not limited to: HM moves (I'm using the idea of HMs from Gen I-IV because in Gen V everything is treated as an HM), Moves that have already evolved through Move Evolution(NOT natural evolution), meaning Flamethrower can still evolve, but not ShatterStorm, any pokemon exclusive moves or group exclusive moves, i.e. Giga Impact(group exclusive), Blast Burn (group exclusive), Aeroblast (pokemon exculsive), Judgement (pokemon exclusive). Other than that, Move Evolution is pretty much available for a wide range of moves.

 

The steps to evolving a move are:

 

1) Use a move lots and lots of times and show mastery of it in the IC

2) LET A LEADER KNOW!!!!!! Seriously, PM a leader telling what move you want to Evolve. Include a name (if we don't already have one), DMG, Accuracy, and any effects. A description wouldn't hurt. After the Leader approves it, you're welcome to evolve you're move, as long as you fit the criteria. Or, if your asking about a move evolution in advanced, you're welcome to do so, and evolve the move when you're next able to.

 

ON a final note, keep in mind that Move Evolution is a desperation process. You should be on you're last legs, and that Move Evolution should be a game changer. But that's all for now. I'll personally be making a list of move's that have undergone Move Evolution, and editing it as more occur. Also, if you have idea, please share. We're always welcome to those.

Money:

Money will be used for shop items. A city's Pokemart will be determined by what items they have in the games: HeartGold & SoulSilver(Combined & both Johto Kanto) Platinum(Sinnoh) Emerald(Hoenn) Black & White (Unova)

 

Everyone starts with 15K. Each battle you win, the loser gives up a determined amount of money, determined by the level's of the loser's Pokemon.

 

If the avg LVL of the loser's pokemon is:

1-10, you win 800Z

11-20, you win 1200Z

21-30, you win 1500Z

31-40, you win 2200Z

41-50, you win 3200Z

51-60, you win 4000Z

61-70, you win 5000Z

71-80, you win 6000Z

81+, you win 7000Z

 

The Elite Four Trainer will give you 6000Z every battle, regardless of LVL. Defeating the champion(if that occurs) with earn your 12,000Z

 

GYMS & LEAGUE:

 

Gym Leaders will be much stronger than us, because they have our experience levels, plus stronger Pokemon & more experience. Battles against GYM leaders will be difficult, but that does not mean that they'll be impossible to beat. Every GYM battle WILL be hosted by a Leader. So if you want to battle and earn a badge, let a Leader know so they can host your battle.

EDIT: Gym battles will be in the background as we get more involved in plot, but they are still available.

 

 

Items:

Certain in game items have had their effects changed. All items obtainable in the game and anime are obtainable to RP'ers, including but not limited to Master Balls, Rare Candies, etc. Let me be clear on something DO NOT walk around and find a Masterball you need to be given one.

EDIT: Revives, Ethers, and Potions cannot be used IN BATTLE. They can however be used outside of battle.

 

New Item: PokeTEX:

 

Everyone, will getting one of these instead of a PokeNav. They can hold all your items, and once a Pokedex & Pokenav, have been inserted inside, the Tex can scan Pokemon to provide information on Pokemon as well as a your Trainer ID and information on all Regions that you enter. But to release an item, just select it on the PokeTex screen or say it, a laser will scan a digital holographic image of it near the trainer. Then it will materialize in said location. As for taking in items, it will scan, shrink and vacuum the item inside its screen.

 

Please exercise discretion when catching Pokemon. It should be obvious what's a fare catch and what is not.

 

Use Bulbapedia for all referencing though. non-negotiable. or watch/read/play it. that is it.

 

Dream Post:

 

Everyone in their first post needs to include the following lines:

"From wandering through your realm, I have summoned you..."

&

"Behold, for in this Game of Life, you are the EndEra."

 

Also when two trainers or more meet, they will have a moment where you remember a portion of the dream. It should involve an interaction with the people you've seen.

The first portion of the plot will have to deal with gathering our Pokémon teams & battling trainers. The first person aside from the leaders to reach the first Gym or have a full team at the second gym, will need to contact me. Currently, Team Rocket has spread across all of the regions, initiating their mysterious plans. James, now one of the current leaders of Team Rocket, has met with Maxie & Tabitha of Team Magma, revealing to them the location of a legendary Pokemon that they seek. In exchange, James has obtained the Blue Orb. What does all this mean?

EDIT: The RP is about to become seriously plot heavy, so get your affairs in order and get ready.

Personality: He is a mischievous individual who is balanced with somewhat of a serious side. In whatever he does, he does his best to enjoy it, though when he needs to be he's very passionate and determines. He is also very durable and a bit distracted. Despite his impishness, he is a good-natured & secretly mature individual, who wishes to enjoy himself. He also works out with his Pokemon and bonds very well with them. In fact he not only trains his Pokemon well, but he bonds with Pokemon near instantly, so they become friends quickly. He is a creative battler, using what he can to his advantage. Appearance: 5' 6" slim/athletic, black Hair, blue sleeveless jacket over a white shirt, black jeans, black velcro strap shoes, plain black baseball cap.

Personality: He's a bit of an ass, but his heart is usually in the right place. He has a tendency to be a bit distant towards people unless he knows them really well.

Hometown & Region: Cerulean City: Kanto

1st Pokemon: Mewtwo. Moves, Teleport & Me First. Level 11.

History: Shimon's life was fairly normal up until the age of twelve when he started entering his rebellious phase. At thirteen he stopped listening to everyone except his older brother, and shortly before turning fourteen fell in with exactly the wrong crowd. At fifteen he was enlisted to go on his first kill. However, killing was one thing he refused to do. Since he was unwilling to kill he was deemed unnecessary and shot at. His older brother, who had secretly followed him, put himself in the path of the bullet. This surprised everyone and caused Shimon to fly into a rage, beating the shooter close to death. He tried getting his brother out of there and to a hospital, but it was already to late. His brother died shortly after, and he became bitter and distant. The one reason why he hasn't completely shut himself off was because it was shortly after that that he gained his first Pokemon, and so he decided that if nothing else, he would at least keep said Pokemon in his life. He made the decision to keep everyone else distant.

Name of Trainer: Seishin Tamashi

Age & Gender: 15 year old male

Appearance: 5’7 with shaggy purple hair, he has a lazy look in his eyes due to constant work and little sleep. He wears a white t-shirt with a dark blue jacket in which he keeps his pokenav and dex in his pockets. He holds a belt across his chest where he keeps small tools and a few poke balls, including one for Ralts, though only if he needs to keep her safe. He wears black cargo pants to hold other items.

Personality: Calm and happy, he tries not to make any actions that would scare Ralts. He’s a very caring guy but has moments of trance due to his seeming connection with Ralts. If he’s caught talking to himself it just means he’s in the psychic state he gained from Ralts early interaction with his comatose mind, this also seems to help him locate pokemon of psychic and ghost types, which he has found interesting and wants as his specialty.

Hometown & Region: Petalburg City, Hoenn

1st Pokemon: Ralts (Shiny)

History: Born and raised in Petalburg city Seishin was just a child of the Pokemart owners, once he was old enough to hold boxes his family had him help out at the store and eventually deliveries and pick-ups.

One day when he was on his way he was caught in a large storm on route 102 where his bike was caught in a the vines of the overgrown trees he was left unconscious in the woods. While unconscious a traveling Ralts walked nearby and saw the boy unconscious, naturally it would have run away but by instinct it could not leave him to his injuries as it slowly dragged him back to Petalburg City, reading his mind to find where his home was.

The small blue Ralts stood by his side until he woke up, slowly suffering from Nightingale syndrome as it acted like it was always there, even helping around the store while Seishin was unconscious and occasionally keeping him company in his own mind.

After a month he finally awoke and immediately grew to appreciate Ralts both of them becoming close friends. When he was 14 along with Ralts they both took a wrong path in a long-distance delivery where they both saw on odd ripple in the air, to this day Seishin and Ralts claim to have seen a legendary pokemon call out to them both as a team, and a year later, Seishin became a trainer late in life, with Ralts as his first pokemon.

History: Leo started his training at 1o years old when he received Snivy from professor Juniper. But shortly after his 11^th birthday his gram other who lives in Pallet town became extremely ill so Leo and his mother had to travel to pallet town to take care of her. After 4 years Leo has decided to start his adventure again.

Appearance: Brown shaggy hair, green eyes, fair skin. Tall for his age. Wears jeans, a faded red hoodie with a black design on the front, and black and white beat up sneakers.

Personality: To those he's unfamiliar to or uncomfortable with, Rose is very shy. However, beneath his meek exterior, he is very kindhearted, willing to risk his own well-being to protect others. However, he is also an emotional wreck on the inside, and the slightest inclination of someone being not totally pleased with his actions, he is shattered, and he becomes withdrawn and depressed. He also strongly craves affection, something he never received as a child, aside from his friendship with Skyla.

Appearance: Neat blonde hair, icy blue eyes, and pale skin. Average height. He wears a snowboarding jacket a majority of the time, but he will remove it in warmer climates.

Personality: Alexander is very cold and calculating. He prefers for all problems to be solved scientifically and logically, rather than thinking outside of the box. He studies all of his opponent's actions in order to receive the best possible outcome. However, if someone does something against the norm or out of character, he gets very nervous, as he does not handle change very well, something that stems from his family relationships in his childhood.

Hometown & Region: Snowpoint City, Sinnoh

1st Pokemon: Uxie | Shadow Ball, Confusion | Genderless | Lv 9

History (optional): In regards to how he obtained Uxie, he formed an emotional bond with it at a young age, and the two would often play together. However, Uxie has never been formally "captured", only befriended.

Personality: Justin is very kind and forgiving, and kind of carefree. He is very hard headed, though, and will rush into a battle at a moments notice. He loves his Pokemon more than anything, but sometimes, he trains them too hard, because he likes to win. He loves battling in general, and though he would prefer to win, (WHo doesn't?) he will congratulate the winner if he lost, and tell the loser that he did a good job.

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Rai is of medium build, topping off at around 5'8. He wears blue jeans, a white tshirt and long black overcoat.

Personality: Rai is a very compassionate person, stopping to help whoever may be in touble. Battle wise, he is extremely sharp, noting things that others might miss, and a brilliant tactician. His battle strategy is second to none, and he prefers to gauge an opponents strength before delivering a swift finishing blow. Outside of battle however he is carefree and moderately lazy though he still retains his sharpness.

Hometown: Slateport City

Region: Hoenn

First pokemon: Flygon LV 10, Faint Attack, Fly

History: For the most part, Rai had a pretty normal history until he hit the age of thirteen. His dad a scientist and master trainer, presented him with a Special pokemon egg that exibited strange energies. Two years later, after much study it hatches revealing a baby Flygon. Normally when pokeggs hatch the lowest evolution hatches, which would be trapinch, but in this case a fully evolved, albiet tiny Flygon hatched. As it gets stronger, it grows, just like a person. No one knows why though it is suspected that it had something to do with the mysterious GS ball. A couple months ago, Rai's father died and now Rai has decided to pick up where he left off an become the Hoenn champion.

Name of Trainer: Otto Penelope Joltingson

Age & Gender: 15-year-old female.

Appearance: Otto's smooth face is half-covered by her long, pink hair. One of her beautiful, purple eyes have been covered by her hair as well. Her flat-chested, slim figure is encased in a red blouse, along with a yellow miniskirt to couple that.

Personality: Otto is extremely flirtatious towards, practically any boy. However, she is responsible and will put friends before anything else.

Hometown & Region: Hoenn, Sootopolis City

Name of Trainer: Gina Harding

Personality(this should develop as the plot does): She is a kind trainer, with no scars from a bad background. She is very innocent, growing up around Pokemon of her siblings, she really tries to form bonds. She is stubborn as a mule, and really, the only time she will get mad is if her stubborness is to no avail. Still, she is a very sweet trainer to pokemon.

Hometown & Region: Lilycove City, Hoenn

Appearance: A young man about 5' 3" with light blue eyes and shaggy purple hair styled up. the boy wears a black t-shirt with a green sphere design in the center of it. Over his shirt is a dark blue long sleeve jacket along with black fingerless glove that also have the green sphere design in the middle of them. Atmos wears plain blue jeans with a poke-ball holster belt and a new pair of black and blue running shoes.

 

Personality: A cheerful young boy with the dream of following in legendary footsteps of Master trainers so that he too can one day be deemed such. Atmos is curious and intelligent though his kind heart tends to get him in more trouble than needed he believes that people and pokemon can live together in harmony.

 

Hometown & Region: Pallet Town, Kanto

 

1st Pokemon: Charcoal (Shiny Charmander) Ember, Growl Level 6

History: TBA

Age: 10

 

Gender: Male

 

Appearance: Track has White hair wich covers his fore head. It also has red tips and a curly line from his hair coming down the side of his head. He wears a plain White shirt and an open red jacket over it with red trousers covering his knees. His trainers are red.

 

Personality: Track is very over confident and believes that he is the strongest pokemon trainer In the world. Track usually rushes into things without having a plan first. Whenever he battles because of their training Track is always in the same position as Riolu.

 

Hometown and region: Kanto, viridian city

 

First pokemon: Riolu level 5

History: When Track was born his mother was already very sickly. His father was traveling to different regions trying to find a cure for her disease as well as helping young trainers prepare for their journey by giving them some advice. When he came back home he gave Track an egg from the sinnoh region. Soon the egg hatched and Riolu came out of it. Track and Riolu instantly became best friends. Soon after Tracks mother died and told him to become a powerful trainer and make loads of friends. Track promised to do that and his father helped him get stronger by training him and Riolu in martial arts. When Track became 10 he would go collect a pokedex from the professor and begin his journey.

Name of Trainer: Seishin Tamashi

Age & Gender: 15 year old male

Appearance: 5’7 with shaggy purple hair, he has a lazy look in his eyes due to constant work and little sleep. He wears a white t-shirt with a dark blue jacket in which he keeps his pokenav and dex in his pockets. He holds a belt across his chest where he keeps small tools and a few poke balls, including one for Ralts, though only if he needs to keep her safe. He wears black cargo pants to hold other items.

Personality: Calm and happy, he tries not to make any actions that would scare Ralts. He’s a very caring guy but has moments of trance due to his seeming connection with Ralts. If he’s caught talking to himself it just means he’s in the psychic state he gained from Ralts early interaction with his comatose mind, this also seems to help him locate pokemon of psychic and ghost types, which he has found interesting and wants as his specialty.

History: Born and raised in Petalburg city Seishin was just a child of the Pokemart owners, once he was old enough to hold boxes his family had him help out at the store and eventually deliveries and pick-ups.

One day when he was on his way he was caught in a large storm on route 102 where his bike was caught in a the vines of the overgrown trees he was left unconscious in the woods. While unconscious a traveling Ralts walked nearby and saw the boy unconscious, naturally it would have run away but by instinct it could not leave him to his injuries as it slowly dragged him back to Petalburg City, reading his mind to find where his home was.

The small blue Ralts stood by his side until he woke up, slowly suffering from Nightingale syndrome as it acted like it was always there, even helping around the store while Seishin was unconscious and occasionally keeping him company in his own mind.

After a month he finally awoke and immediately grew to appreciate Ralts both of them becoming close friends. When he was 14 along with Ralts they both took a wrong path in a long-distance delivery where they both saw on odd ripple in the air, to this day Seishin and Ralts claim to have seen a legendary pokemon call out to them both as a team, and a year later, Seishin became a trainer late in life, with Ralts as his first pokemon.

There are reserves for Hoenn Legndaries (whoever gets accepted first gets it). None on Unova or Johto.
