Zauls Posted August 11, 2011 Report Share Posted August 11, 2011 This card wouldn't have too much of an effect on the meta if it was @1. DAD is more broken than this in terms of the effect, as is JD. The only reason they ever became Tier 0 is because they were Unlimited/Semi-Limited, making it twice/three times as likely to draw them. It would just be a card that you could draw into to change the game, much like Dark Hole and Monster Reborn. Dark Hole has had next to no impact on the game and Monster Reborn is just another staple that has no effect on the meta because everyone has it and it's not ridiculously broken. The only upside this would have over DAD/JD in the next format would be ease of Summoning. If you think about it logically, and picture in your head a format where BLS is @1, it would just be another of those cards. It wouldn't run the format like Tengu etc. are doing right now. At the start of the first format where Dark Hole and Monster Reborn were unbanned, everyone was saying "oh they'll just go back to 0 next format, we'll have to put up with ridiculous cards for 6 months" but now look. If 2 cards are OP because of a single card's existance, the single card should take the hit, not the cards that are only- Wait, Konami just did a reprint of this so that people would think it would be coming back and buy gold series packs. If this and CED are reprinted, then it's unbanned, but if Fishborg and Sangan are reprinted, they are banned? I always had the idea that the TCG reprints with no OCG equivalent did not affect the list, as those reprints don't affect OCG and the TCG guys don't alter the list for the TCG...
