When this card battles an opponent's monster, during the Battle Step: You can banish that monster and this card. Return the banished monsters to the field when the Battle Phase ends. If the monster banished by this effect was an Xyz Monster: This card gains 500 ATK for each Xyz Material that monster had attached to it when it was banished.[/quote] Discuss this epic piece of win. evilfusion
It's an epic piece of win. Kaito using it is a delicious bonus. Fortunately, it's not a Nomi/Semi-Nomi, because those SS conditions are absurd outside of Rescue Rabbit - > 2 Gene Warped Warwolfs. Sadly, not the most viable card in...pretty much any deck. It's anti-Xyz, but the main deck that can use it (any deck running REDMD) could just as easily run Blue-Eyes or White Night Dragon.

The Blue-Eues have only ever been Trade-In Targets anyways.

evilfusion
I dunno. I always felt it was mediocre, but it's hard to deny that it's an epic card. Epic =/= good, sadly.

Shizuku Oikawa
I just now read "During the Battle Step". It avoids Mirror Force and D-Prison, and something else random if it attacks a monster. (The Battle Step is as soon as it attacks if you didn't know that already) Unless it's a mistranslation. I'd run 1 in Disaster for reals.

In addition, it's an optional Trigger Effect, and thus Spell Speed 1. It can't chain to other effects activating.
