Jake the Sage,
Alright! Sorry for the delay, but here is the FIRST Post for 'Chords of Chaos: Resonant Crisis[sup]TM[/sup]"

< OOC: Yeah so HE says *laughs* >
[ OOOC: Come on just get the story going ]

You two wait until you can actually appear!
"Sh*t sh*t sh*t! How could things have gone so wrong?!" Rolling down a hill, the sticker bushes stabbing through his tunic and into his skin, causing it to bleed, he stopped with a skid and held the smaller figure close to his body as he panted. When she asked if he was alright, moving up to look at him, he shoved her face into the dirt before a volley of arrows streaked through the air where her head had just been moments before. Cursing out loud at her to 'keep your head down or have it become a pin cushion' he pulled out his instrument and dug his heels into the earth underfoot. With a monstrous yell he kicked forward in a leap he reached the top as an arrow pierced his right shoulder. Yelling one more blatant cuss word he bite his lower lip, drawing blood from it as well, and swung the Bass Guitar around his front as he let out a small chuckle. Another wave of the arrows heading his way he plucked a single cord, causing a shock wave to resound around the front before vibrating out towards the enemy in a violent subsonic blast.

"Hells Yeah!!!" he yelled with enthusiasm as the ground before him exploded and sent the enemy scattering, running as he reached down to thumb another of the strings; the blood adding to the "bad-ass appearance" he was proudly sporting. Once they had ran away he looked down the hill, the young girl still hunkered down with her hands covering her ears, he gave a whistle before she even lifted her head. When their eyes met she gave a relieved sigh and stood up, dusting her once clean dress while complaining. The man only laughed while slinging the Bass Guitar back around so it rested on his back and turned to see his escortee arriving beside him, "I do apologize your Highness . . . guess the other countries are looking for 'what is not supposed to be named'."

"Of course they are," she said knocking her heels free of the massive amount of caked mud, "Even if it is a rumor what makes you think other countries wont go searching for it to make sure someone else wont get it?"

"So what you're saying is," he replied snatching her heels and stopping her from taking them back, "No one knows for certain 'what is not supposed to be named' actually exists, but we're going to kill each other over it anyways? F*cking brilliant! Just f*cking brilliant!"

"Well as long as I am getting paid," he said snapping the heels off and tossing it to his comrade, her mouth hanging open, "Now you can actually run in those . . ."

The diminutive girl seemed to be shaking, tears filling her eyes, and for a moment Savas thought she might cry. Yet he was wrong. A sudden bang to his head, knocking him over, definitely stated that. Shaking her fist in front of his face he was surprised that this little girl, Melody, was supposed to be a Princess, "She sure as hell doesn't act like one." He was snapped out of his thoughts when a stronger pain coursed through his body, opening his eyes he saw that she had yanked the arrow from his shoulder, "OW THAT HURT LIKE SH*T MAN! D*MN WHAT IS GOING THROUGH YOUR MIND!?"

"Oh stop whining you big baby," Melody snapped as she knelt down, placing her hands over the gaping wound. A soothing, harmonious blue hue appeared around it along with the sound of lightly ringing bells, "I couldn't heal it with the arrow still sticking in there, now could I?"

"Guess not," he said with a sigh, enjoying the sensation of the pain easing up. He had been asked to accept a seemingly simple escort mission, something he thought would be boring as all f*cking hell, but within a few weeks things had taken a turn out a lot different than he originally thought. Savas didn't like having arrows sticking out of him, but he did enjoy the rush of a good fight. Taking a peek at the green haired girl concentrating on healing his shoulder he chuckled to himself, "Who knows, maybe this rumor about the Great Composure's Sheet Music isn't a load of f*cking bull sh*t."

"Kaito?" the girl asked looking around at the world around her, the empty plains seemed to stretch on for miles and miles in every direction. There was no sign of life either and it frightened her as she clung to her friend's pants leg, "Where are we?"

"From the map we're supposed to be in Nomen's plains, a few days walk away from Numees if we keep heading south," the magician asked trying not to trip with the elf-looking girl clinging to him like she was. Struggling to even more a bit while her slender arms wrapped around him even tighter he laughed and bent over to look at her, "Come on Minnie there isn't anything to be afraid of now is there?"

"No, but there is nothing out here! And that is what is really scary!" she exclaimed squeezing harder so that Kaito actually fell over on top of her. Rolling into his back he gave a grunt as she sat on his chest, poking his face to make him open his eyes, "Kaito can't we go somewhere else?"

"Go where? The rumors said that . . . you know what . . . is supposed to be in Nomen's ancient vault. So we have to get to the Capital first, okay?"

"Yeah but I still don't like wide open places! Who knows what will come out and get us!" Minnie complained, only to get a chuckle out of her friend, making her face to turn up in a pout.

"My people!" a man called out from atop the castle walls, surrounded by men clad in armor with the emblem of two horns adorning the breastplate, called out as the crowd began to roar. The man waved his hands high above his head in a grand gesture before calling out again, "Today is a glorious day for Bellicose!!!"

"Today we have received confirmed reports that the Grand Composure's Sheet Music does in fact . . . EXIST! Our scouts have returned with news that the other countries of Orai have begun to mobilize their forces in an attempt to garnish this ancient and holy relic for their own purposes, to strike a fatal blow to our Empire and our very lives! As your Emperor I will see to it that this does not become a reality! We will mobilize a thousand fold what they can muster and crush anyone who stands in our way in obtaining the Grand Composure's Sheet Music!!!"

Giving a bow the Emperor turned his head and vanished behind the velvet purple curtains before being confronted by a man garbed in decorative war metals. Saluting, his fingers touching the brim of his cap, he called out, "Hail Emperor Grado! Long live the Emperor!"

"What business do you have here Chrysaor?"

"Sir, I just wanted to ask the justification on which you spoke to the people today," the General of the Western Bellicose Military questioned giving chase to the Emperor who had begun to walk down the polished marble hallway. General Chrysaor knew for an absolute fact that none of what the Emperor had said was true. There was no evidence the other countries were mobilizing their armies in an attempt to find such an artifact. So why mobilize their entire force? It was true, out of all of the countries on Orai, that Bellicose was the one which warred the most and their blood lust held no equal, but something special must have happened for the Emperor to go to such feats. Snapping his head up as his Emperor spoke he noticed he had followed the man all the way to the Library, "General . . . do you really wish to know the reasons behind my actions?"

"As you General and personal adviser, I feel in all honesty it is my duty," he said. The Emperor told him what he was about to see was never to be revealed, upon penalty of death for not only him but his entire house, which Chrysaor agreed to. Pulling a lever the massive cedar wood doors flung shut, locking themselves with thick iron bolts, and a pedestal arose in the middle of the room. As it rose the sound of music began to echo out throughout the room as a red light seemed to fill the room, causing Chrysaor's heart to leap into his chest and an emotion wash over him which he could not contain. Breathing hard, his hands clenched into fists so tightly the knuckles became white, he watched the Emperor life a Red Orb out of the pedestal and run his hands over it, the music echoing when he did, "General Chrysaor what you are looking at is but a single 'sheet' of what I spoke of earlier. It was only foolish to believe it was all on actual paper . . ."

The door opened to a local Bar within Chemma, five people walking in as the regular patrons turned their heads to examine them. The first many noticed was the snow white beauty walking in with a long cut dress, almost all the way to her hip, and her incredibly light purple hair flowing as she sat down with a look of exhaustion on her face. A table not to far from them, each man very intoxicated, murmured amongst themselves about the ravishing beauty and planned to attempt to get to have night of fun with her. As the pudgy leader went to stand up and shuffle over to her he was knocked back to his seat by the female's compatriot, a man covered in animal skulls and hide, "I wouldn't attempt to hit on Lady Noelle unless you want your second thinker to be thawing out next spring."

"Uh . . . yeah . . . sure," he replied turning his back, the cold touch of a hunter's knife leaving the right shoulder, and then thought, "D*mn him! He is probably just lying! How could she-" A slap on his head caught his attention, turning around and standing before the armored individual, the third person of the group who had entered with the snow white angel, and he gave a wave. Even with the helmet covering his head he could tell he was smiling and it aggravated him for some reason, "Dude I know what you're thinking and-

<OOC: I thought we weren't going to stick out!? Didn't the dog boy say we had to "keep quite and not draw attention to ourselves"[/KotaroImitation]?">

"Dude I am talking here! Seriously rude!" Hisashi yelled to a person beside him, though no one was there. Turning to the confused man he once more slapped his back and continued, "As I was saying . . . I KNOW what you are thinking. How could such a fair skinned individual, a woman who looks like she wouldn't hurt the unborn baby of the ugliest troll mama you've ever seen, freeze your tally-wacker? Well let me tell you from experience . . ."

Pulling him in closer he whispered the end, "She can . . ."

< OOC: At least slap him in a humiliating way to make sure he gets it! >
[ OOOC: And call his momma fat! ]

Nodding his head Hisashi, without any more provocation, slapped the man and knocked him over before running back to his table where Kotaro and the rest yelled at him wondering what he had been thinking. Throwing the table off him the man yelled to his men, the entire membership of the bar, "That's it! I don't care how or who does it! But bring me . . . that . . . man's . . . HEAD!!!"

< OOC: Our Head? >
[ OOOC: Awe crap XO ]

"Guys you aren't helping right now!" Hisashi screamed holding his head, being pushed over as Tarr leaped into the air and spread her wings to shove back the three men who had attempted to tackle the insane compatriot. Throwing them off she landed on the ground as Kotaro used her shoulder to vault into the air, drop kicking two men in the face, and spun on his hand to kick a few more out cold. Pulling out her violin Noelle, standing back to back with Domo, began playing a series of composites which froze the earth around her and anyone who was foolish enough to step onto it; Domo blocking and stabbing anyone who attempted to stop her. Hisashi . . .

"I simply hide under an overturned desk until . . ." the entire group had been pushed back far enough that the door was open. Yelling to his party Kotaro kicked someone out of the way as he dashes for the door, tripping the leader as he did, and broke through the double swinging doors while everyone followed. The bar membership, beaten and bruised, looked up as Hisashi was exiting. Turning around he snapped his fingers, ran back inside to lift the leader up, and watched the man shaking in fear. Pulling him close enough to see the man's narrow eyes he pointed at him, "AND your momma is fat!"

Dropping him Hisashi dusted his hands off before leaving to rejoin his group outside, still running from the town of Chemma.

[ OOOC: I can't believe he remembered! XD ]
< OOC: I KNOW! >

"Hey I'm not completely insane, I can remember the little things," Hisashi commented while Kotaro and the rest shook his head. Somehow they had all decided to travel together, seeking the Great Composure's Sheet Music, but many of them were beginning to second guess having Hisashi around . . .

"Can't we leave him?" Tarr asked flapping her wings, gliding on the wind, to Kotaro but saw Noelle shake her head. The Ice Queen spoke in a hush voice as the town disappeared from view, "Despite Hiashi's . . . mannerisms he has proven . . . to be worth . . . keeping for . . . now."

[ OOOC: Hey I think they're talking about our idiot. ]
< OOC: Who cares! Next Person Can Post!!! >

Polar Effect looked up slightly as she saw someone run past her as she was leaving the town of Chemma. I wonder what he's in a rush for, she thought, deciding to follow from a moderate distance in curiosity. She was surprised to see the one woman fly with giant wings like she was an angel, finding it hard not to stare at her. Interesting, I wonder why these people are together.

She gently let her mare know to speed up slightly to get closer to the group before yelling up ahead, "Hey! Mind if I tag along for a bit? I hate travelling alone." Polar Effect glanced at the amount of instruments everyone had, already guessing what type of group they are. I bet they're looking for that sheet music. Hopefully I can tag along and maybe if we find it I can use it before they take it away. She gripped tightly onto her keytar, well aware that most people didn't understand how it worked. She barely knew herself but her birthplace was a city of innovation and it was more advanced in some areas than the rest of the world.

Hopefully they wouldn't challenge her to a fight to join the group. She didn't really like fighting in the first place and it might not be the best way to make friends in the group. God, I hate overthinking this stuff but if I don't it always goes wrong. She kept riding her mare at a good speed to keep up with the group, hoping they'd say yes.

"Hey! Mind if I tag along for a bit?" the group heard a woman call from behind, ridding atop a mare, as she finished trotting up towards them, "I hate traveling alone . . ."

Domo, the man garbed in the animal skin and skulls, whirled around while he spun the two hunting knives so that he could've charged into her while cutting in the same time. When he had saw who it was, a female, he stood upright while Tarr landed beside him. Most of the group was now looking at her, curious as to why she had asked such a thing. Polar Effect glanced at the amount of instruments everyone had, "I bet they're looking for that sheet music. Hopefully I can tag along and maybe if we find it I can use it before they take it away." As the man who had first caught Polar Effect's attention came bounding to the front, pointing at her while yelling, "She plans to USE us!!! She wants the Sheet Music too!!!"

"Hisashi just shut up," Kotaro said knocking the insane man upside the head, walking towards the unknown woman.

< OOC: Dude that is SUCH a dick move! >
[ OOOC: Hit him back! So him you're the dominant one Hisashi!!! ]

Stopping, examining her Keyboard, he held out his hand so he could examine it better. Once he was finished he handed it back to her and asked, "Why do you really want to travel with us? I doubt what Hisashi said is true, he is insane after all, but 'because l hate traveling alone' is one of the worst excuse l've ever heard."

Zerin awoke, stretching. He was on his way to Belicos, a region of the massive land known as Regio Unus. He had the dock in sight, and began to pack his things. As they docked, he paid the driver of his boat, and went off in search of an inn. He would need a place to stay above all else. In his path, he saw an armory and decided to keep the place in mind. He would definitely require some added defenses. As he traveled, driven by the thought of his mission, a thought occurred to him. He would need food and he spent a large portion of his money on the boat ride. The rations he had brought to the island he was on previously could only hold him for so long now. He looked at the map he had for this area and noticed he would be in the capital city of Asgard. He thought of things he could do in a town such as this, but his thoughts were interrupted by his discovery of the inn he was searching for. He bought a room and left back out.

He continued to think and an image of the armory he had passed came into his mind several times. He decided to give it a try and went back to the place in which he saw it. He entered the building and approached the counter. Before the man could even so much as ask "How may I help you?", he said, bluntly, "I need a job. You hiring?"

The man, a bulky muscled black, looked down at the boy who stood two full heads beneath him and couldn't restrain the bellows of laughter any longer. Almost doubling over he looked at the boy and stood up, quickly grabbing his arm and examining it, "You?! You think you could work here?! You've got to be out of your mind!"

"Get on out of here before you hurt yourself," he said pushing him clean out of the Armory before turning back to the furnace which swelled with heated metal and coal, the white shine of the halfway created sword visible through the red and orange haze. It seemed Zerin wouldn't be able to find work here and, as he wandered, the sound of people gasping and looking with awe. His head twisting to see what the commotion was about he spotted a large Boar humanoid walking alongside a young girl, an older woman and a man; all four carrying the remains of a battle on their bodies. Stopping in at the Armory one of them, the Boar-man, threw a thick breastplate onto the table and asked in a low gruff of a voice, "Hey! I need this fixed now. It needs to be thicker and stronger, think you can manage that?"

"Broward you make it any thicker you wont be able to move about in it," the girl asked as the other two agreed.

Across the Nomen's plains, far as the eye could see, the sky was a brilliant vacant blue. Not a cloud nor bird, only the shining sun breaking the void with it's rays. The plains were as silent as the sky was empty, the soft sounds of the wind casting along the way. These plains were more unusual than others due to the reason of their peaceful nature: the area was completely devoid of life. Not a single creature could be found for miles, save for a passing traveler or two. Kaito and Minnie were two such travelers, on their way to Nomen's capital city. However, if one took notice of the horizon, they would see that there was another traveler in the plains.

Disturbing the peaceful nature of the plains, storm clouds were rolling in from the west at a steady pace. These clouds were unlike other storms in that they were smaller and kept themselves to a specific area, seemingly following the traveler. Accompanying them was the dry, crisp sound of a snare drum, keeping a drawn out drum roll. As he walked along the plains, Jurao smiled to himself with his eyes closed. Why would he need to open them when he knew how long his journey would take? No one would disturb him or try to talk to him, much to his delight. Or it would have been, had he not caught up the duo.

Jurao could almost sense their presence out of a deep-rooted social phobia. Worried eyes opened to confirm the man and elf-looking girl before him, causing him to stop playing. His hands began shaking as an audible gulp soon followed. Don't be scared, he said to himself. Just try to talk. Say 'Hi'. 'Hi' is easy. Sweat and fear trembled down his forehead as it took his entire being to try and utter a simple 'hello'. Maybe I don't need it. Maybe I'm better now. Jurao took a deep breath before finally saying something. "Mfmhgh".

Not even a simple 'hello'. Jurao hung his head in shame, picking up his drumsticks once more. Throwing off the snares to make the snare produce a more hollow sound, he started a low roll. Rain began to drizzle over his head and only his head, much like in a cartoon.

Kazuya walked further away from the forest seeing ahead of him plains that seemed to go on forever standing at the edge of the Nomen Plains, the name of places other than his forest however unknown to Kazuya and as of such the only thing he really noticed was the seemingly apparent lack of life within these plains. "Aaye! (Hail!)" he yelled loudly thinking he saw people at the edge of his view as he had walked becoming disappointed easily as he heard no response the distance probably the main reason for this as he continued to walk the large plains without much life other than his own seeming depressing to him compared to the forest he lived in.

Seeing this as a chance to prove himself to the man behind the counter, Zerin thought about what he could do. He studied this roup and figured they were skilled in the art of combat. He wondered how skilled, and he continued to study them. By the wear of their armor and how heavy it was, he decided they had faced a fairly large opponent. Through the wounds they had suffered, he knew they had lost, or just won on the skin of their teeth. Slowly, he approached the boar-man. Without acknowledging his existence, he said, "Is there a problem?"

His voice was cool and showed no form of hostility, and he had no wish to start anything with this group, but he would be ready to defend himself should he need to.

"Yeah, that is a pretty weak excuse," Polar Effect said, blushing slightly. I guess I might as well tell them the truth, or some of it. No use in lying to them. "Well, I'm trying to get someone back and I need something for that. And I thought that if I was with other people I'd have an easier time looking for it," Polar Effect said, a hint of sorrow attached to her voice. She wondered if they were just gonna say no or attack her or something. It'd be okay though, she'd had to defend herself before but not against a group of that size before.

I swear life hates me sometimes. I was hoping for someone that would just let me tag along, even if I had to pay some gold for it, she thought to herself, hoping they'd not ask anymore questions. I just want to use it for her, nothing else matters.

It was a cold and rainy night as men a horses chased a small figure through the rich part of town. They were chasing the son of a very wealthy man who had put a bounty on the safe return of his son. The men were closing in but the boy quickly ducked into an ally; the horses passing loudly on the cobblestones-chasing someone who was no longer ahead of them. He ran to the walls of the town, knowing that he'd not be able to leave through the gates without being spotted. The boy quickly stole a latter from a local's house and was swift at scaling the wall and pulling the latter up to the top of the wall and putting it to the other side; almost falling off the wall in the process.

"I have to be careful, all this running away would be useless if I were to..," The boy didn't want to utter the word, he merely frowned at the thought of it. Climbing down the latter, he made sure to keep a look out for anyone on the outside they may spot him; there was no one, just the fierce rain and the wild night air. As soon as his feet touch ground the boy bolted off into the darkness of the forest where he'd spend his time till he found somewhere else that he could call home.

He was making a great length of progression as he ran through the forest. However, since it was dark, it was almost impossible for him to figure out where he was or going so tripping over the man who was laying on the ground was an easy task. The boy than slammed right into a woman who was kneeling beside the man, presumably comforting him or something along those lines. "Uh, sorry about that..." The boy said, innocently and sheepishly.

Minnie had gotten up, her tambourine held tightly in her grip, as Kaito looked at the man with a cloud literally hanging over his head. He had noticed the man earlier and figured he was no threat, his suspicions confirmed when he attempted, what Katio believed, was supposed to be a 'hello' though it came out no where near sounding close. Unlike himself Minnie was defensive and ready to fight back at the smallest sign of aggression. Kaito knew that, for Minnie, that even a twitch'd set her of and begin attacking; she maybe of a noble bloodline, but she still acted like anyone else he had encountered. Patting her shoulder the mage looked up at the downtrodden person, grabbing his hand to firmly shake it, "Kaito, pleased to meet you, and this is Minnie."

"How do you do," she said to the man, lowering her guard momentarily to give a polite curtsies.

"We haven't seen anyone in a long time," he continued letting go of the man's hand, "You are in fact the first person we've seen this entire time since arriving at the Great Plains."

Unbeknown to them, a while away, another figure had emerged out of the forest and spotted them. Covered in twigs and leave debris he called out to them, only to have his voice lost in the void of space separating them all from each other. Walking out into the large plains a loud noise caught his attention before something slammed into his body. Rolling he managed to see that it was a large horse, it's mane aflame with a green fire. Neighing loud enough to catch Kaito, Minnie and Jurao's attention the wild beast went to smash it's iron hooves into the man's face.

"Is there a problem?" the man standing beside Broward had asked, either out of curiosity or whatever other reason the boar-man could not tell, since his voice was almost monotone. Glancing over at him, snorting, he raised an eyebrow and leaned in close to look into the man's eyes, "What's it to you?"

"Broward don't cause trouble," the female said as yanked back at his shoulder. Despite being three times bigger than her, possibly five times, he was moved back enough that he wasn't starring into his face. Turning the Boar complained about 'Eris'' treatment of a Guardian Spirit, to which the dazzling beauty did not pay any attention too. Looking back at Zerin she gave a smile before explaining, "We just came from a job so our armor is kind of in need of repair. So now you have your answer."

"If I was you I wouldn't ask anymore questions kid," Looking down Zerin could see the person who had called him 'kid' was a kid herself, the young girl of the group. She had on what appeared to be the remains of a fancy dress though by now it was torn and tied in places so it'd be easier to move around in; her face covered in dirt smudges and dried blood. When she looked back up at him, her eyes narrowed, he realized he had been starring, "What are you looking at?"
"Yeah, that is a pretty weak excuse," Polar Effect said, blushing slightly, "Well, I'm trying to get someone back and I need something for that. And I thought that if I was with other people I'd have an easier time looking for it,"

For a minute Domo thought that she was leading them along again, having walked up beside Kotaro to hear her better, but when at the very end he heard the genuine sense of sorrow in her tone he knew that what she was saying was true; at least about trying to get someone back. Nodding his head Kotaro's dog-like ears seemed to twitch as he thought about her words, "Seems like she is telling the truth, but she is being vague about what she is looking for on purpose. Though there is only one thing I know about which could accomplish such a feat." Opening his eyes he looked at her, still wondering about his decision to let her come with them or not; in the corner of his eye he could see Tarr eying her with a hint of jealousy.

"I swear life hates me sometimes. I was hoping for someone that would just let me tag along, even if I had to pay some gold for it," Polar Effect thought to herself, hoping they'd not ask anymore questions, "I just want to use it for her, nothing else matters."

< OOC: Did someone type gold!? >
[ OOOC: Actually, in character, she THOUGHT about paying gold but- ]

"Will you two ever be quite!" Hisashi yelled to the sky before turning to Kotaro and pointing, in an exaggerated manner, "Hey Boss man! She has gold and thought about paying us to tag along!"

"I'm not even going to ask how you know this," Tarr said looked over to the man before looking at Polar Effect," Is it true? Do you have gold to pay us with?"

A sudden laugh made Tarr stand up, blushing as Kotaro put his hand on her shoulder, "Tarr I don't think we'll need to have her pay us, but if you have any gold that would be great. We can always use another hand to help us out. From the way you talk and act I doubt you would betray us."

"Also you are looking to bring someone back to life, so that would mean you are looking for the Grand Composure's Sheet Music as well," he said offering his hand with a warm, fang toothed, smile, "Am I wrong?"
Taking a peek at the green haired girl concentrating on healing his shoulder he chuckled to himself, "Who knows, maybe this rumor about the Great Composure's Sheet Music isn't a load of f*cking bull sh*t."

The pain in Savas' shoulder had just vanished when a figure burst from the darkness, running at full speed, and slammed into his so that a new wave of pain coarse through him. This new discomfort got him to begin yelling another string of foul language as he held the shoulder, gritting his teeth, with both eyes closed. As Savas held his shoulder, muttering obscenities, Melody looked over at the person whom had assaulted her body guard and noticed it was a young man about the same age as herself. He was on his rear, soaked to the bone from the rain, and had said in an innocent quite voice, "uh, sorry about that . . ."

"No it is alright," Melody was going to say, but only gasped when she witnessed Savas kick the boy to his back and stand over him. Leaning down he lifted the boy's body by the collar and shake him anger, "That f*cking hurt you little sh*t! What the Hell do you think you're doing running like a God d*mn f*cking idiot in the middle of the night!?"

"Savas!!!" Looking over the warrior could see the Princess was pissed, glaring daggers at him. Pointing to the ground she spoke once more with an authority that most couldn't guess she possessed, "Put.him.down.Now!"

"Yeah, sure," he said setting the boy on the ground and turning away from her disapproving eyes. Standing up Melody began administering the same treatment she had just been giving Savas, the tune ringing out again, and she didn't look into his face, "Sorry about Savas. He can be mean and nasty, but he is a good person. But he has a good point, what are you doing here in the forest at night?"

Noticing the aggression in her voice, Zerin knew he had overstepped a boundary. Trying to calm the situation, he said calmly, "I meant no trouble. I am sorry, allow me to explain. I can analyze a person's intent by looking at them. I have decided your intentions are pure. However, I can't say the same for your friend."

He pointed at the boar-man, whose actions indicated an ulterior motive. He did not feel like causing a commotion in this shop, so he decided to keep that information from the group. "As I see you, at least, mean nothing but the intentions you mentioned, I shall leave you to your business."

"Um, yeah, I have gold. I can use it to help us, if you'll have me. And yeah, I'm looking for that Sheet Music. I was trying to be vague because you don't really know who you can go along with," Polar Effect said, still putting on a show of being calm but her heart was racing excitedly as she became more and more anxious, wishing they didn't know that she had gold. "I'll help you find it and give you ninety-five percent of the gold I have if you'll let me use the Sheet Music if, no when, we find it. I only want it for as long as it takes to bring her back. I don't care what happens to it or the world after that."

Polar Effect stopped talking for a moment, thinking to herself about her options, wondering if she would really like to be with a crazy person and a gold-hungry woman. Then she realized she had forgotten something drastic. "I'd like this contract to be truly binding before I commit to it, though. I don't know if you'll just take the gold and run off with it."

"I don't think so little man," Borward said in a harsh voice, grabbing his shoulder. Lifting him up off the ground the boar slammed him into the wall before chucking him through it and into the street. Before anyone could tell him to stop he was outside and ready to tussle with the man who stated he had ulterior motivations, thus insulting him him in the process, "No one questions my motives!" As he walked towards his downed opponent the man, the only one who hat yet to say anything, was apologizing to the man and giving polite bows whilst proclaiming that he'd pay for the damage, or damages, that his partner had and/or would cause. Cracking his knuckles the boar stopped over Zerin as the girl yelled, "Go Broward!"

"Be quite and just watch Aesa," he commented with a chuckle.

"Of course we wouldn't," Kotaro said with a laugh, finding it amusing that people always thought when gold was involved to expect the worse. At least, Kotaro himself was not the type of person to make a deal and then run away with the gold; he wasn't sure about Hisashi. Tarr, while attracted to gold and a bit too grabby when it came to the glittering ore she, like Domo and himself, wouldn't betray someone just for cash. His interior monologue-

< OOC: Which is a long one. >
Jake: I am trying to write this you two!
[ OOOC: I didn't SAY anything! D8 ]

-was interrupted, not only by OOC and OOOC, but by Tarr walking up beside him to look at Polar Effect. Giving her a quick once over she looked at her leader, "You aren't seriously thinking about letting her come along with us, right?"

"Of course he is!" Hisashi said, having somehow known what Kotaro was planning, with a grin. Hisashi began his own interior monologue about how he had read that Kotaro thought it was a good idea to have one more addition to the team and, with their present situation, aka being broke bums, a bit of money would be a pleasant gift. Hisashi smiled as his interior monologue slipped into candy corn and rainbow unicorns, chuckling to himself while everyone stared at him.

"So . . . yeah," Tarr said taking a step away from Hisashi before Domo spoke up, "So that is that. Ms. . . . Polar Effect . . . was it? Is now a member of the team."

Polar Effect scowled at Tarr, showing her dislike for her already as she talked about her. "I'm trusting you, Kotaro was it? Also, who's in charge of the group? Or do you just want me to hold onto the gold for now?" She caressed her keytar as she talked, using it to calm her, hoping that this group would be more trustful than the last one. You won't believe how many pricks are in this world. Also, I wonder who that crazy guy is. He's definitely, well, odd.

She remembered a time though, when she played for enormous crowds, and people flocked to see her. A time where everything was lonely, until Marissa came along. Her bright smile and her friendship brightened up every day of her life. Her music had already began to fail as she fell into depression but thanks to Marissa her music became innovative and cheerful again. It had brought back the crowds and her time with Marissa grew, slowly turning into something more. But then one day it was all taken away. Marissa had been out in the marketplace, buying her a birthday gift when the unthinkable happened. A sinkhole appeared underneath that area of the city, killing everyone within it. She had almost died, her depression became so bad. 3 days later, after she recovered from her shock she left the city, taking every bit of gold she had and her instrument and some food. Her quest had become and it would end only when she found the Sheet Music.

"What am I doing in the forest at night?" The boy smirked and gave a chuckle. "Couldn't I reverse the question back to you?" The boy said, he was actually more intellectual than his parents had let people to believe, but he was still a child at heart which gave him his innocence. "I came from that way, I have no intentions of going back that way, and that's all there is to it I suppose." The boy said, pointing his finger to the way he had just come from. "Unless of course, you intend to go that way?" The boy said, subtly hinting at an alliance...

Kazuya rolled after he was hit by something spotting the horse-like creature as it was about to hit his face with it's hoove, "Bela ed' templa" he then said a slight glow appeareing on the hoov of the horse that was coming down Kazuya no able to push it back but was able to slow it down enough for him to move his head out of the way and scramble away fropm the hooves of the creature. "'Ksher! (Evil One!)" he then yelled as he got up turning and starting to bolt towards the trees he came out from just a few seconds before yelling "Tua! (Help!)" out as he continued to run, aiming to scale one of the trees as quickly as he could to hide from the creature that attacked him.

While Polar effect scowled at Tarr, the harpy-like woman sneered back with equal animosity. Once she had asked who was the leader Kotaro gave a slight chuckle before pointing over his shoulder to Tarr, who had been using the time when the new female wasn't looking to stick her tongue out in a mock. Slipping her tongue back into her mouth she looked down and was quite embarrassed as Kotaro spoke, "You can actually have Tarr here look after the money. She may be sour to you right now, she has never trusted anybody new, but when it comes to keeping our money safe there is no one more I trust."

"As for the . . . leader, that would be . . . Kotaro . . . here," Noelle said in such a hush tone, having managed to sneak up behind Polar Effect, it possibly made her jump out of her skin. With a polite nod the white skinned beauty began to walk away towards Kotaro and the rest as they too turned around. Calling to Polar Effect over his shoulder Domo explained that they were going to be collecting their things from where it had all been stashed before meeting her on the outskirts of the town so they could leave. They soon vanished from sight, leaving Polar Effect all alone.

[ OOOC: W~ell!!! ]
< OOC: ALMOST "alone" ]

"You know why Tarr hates you right now, yes? No?" Hisashi said loud enough to almost be a shout, having not followed the others.

The Areson's initial attack had missed, but just barely; Kazuya's head moving out of the way. When it reared back on it's hind legs once more he scrambled out from underneath the beast before cursing at it and making a mad dash to the safety of the forest. Or at least . . . that was what he was planning. In a surprising display of speed and maneuverability the Areson slammed it's hooves into the ground, tearing at the soil, and sprinted in front of Kazuya as the green flames flickered in the air.

"Tua! [Help!]" Kazuya yelled.

Hearing that Kaito, having witnessed everything, turned to Minnie intent on telling her to stay put. However she simply gave him a pop on the shoulder before pointing towards the treeline, "Don't just stand there! I'll be safe here, now go be a hero!!!"

"Got it!" With that said Kaito turned and began running towards the Areson and the other man, making it as the horse circled around the hapless human. With a swing from what at first appeared to be a twig a violent gust of wind pushed the Areson back, allowing Kaito to get beside Kazuya, "You okay?!"

"Hey sir, you just going to stand there?" Minnie asked watching Kaito's rescue attempt worried and feeling like her nerves were going to give out.

"Sorry about Savas. He can be mean and nasty, but he is a good person. But he has a good point, what are you doing here in the forest at night?"

Melody listened quietly as the boy chuckled, causing her to laugh as well, and he gave a smart remark. Hearing him speak as if he was older than he actually was Melody began to grow irritated, not enjoying the tone in his voice. Looking to where he pointed he explained, "I came from that way, I have no intentions of going back that way, and that's all there is to it I suppose."

Savas turned around, ready to beat some sense into this brat for not giving them a straight answer, but was beat to the punch, quite literally, by Melody as she slammed the back of his head with a nice hard punch. Standing up she looked down at him in anger and began scolding him for 'being so vague' and for it 'being on purpose'. "I keep forgetting this little Princess is full of spit-fire," Savas thought with a grin while he watched. Finally the boy spoke again, seemingly ignoring Melody's entire scolding, "Ummm . . . do you intend to go that way?"

Savas gave a whistle, noticing immediately the hint in the boy's tone, "He wants to join us. No . . . no it isn't that simple. The way he's acted so far, it'd be more along the lines of he wants to be our alley." The mere thought made Savas laugh out loud and shake his head, patting Melody on the shoulder, "Princess I doubt we'll need help from someone like this, so I think we should get going before anyone else shows up."

"I . . . guess so," Melody replied looking back to the young boy and then slowly turned around to follow Savas into the night.

Kazuya watched as the creature circled him tryng to find a way to escape before noticing it pushed back by what appeared to be wind as a man arrived next to Kazuya. "Lle quena... i'lambe tel'... Eldalie? (Do you... Speak... Elvish?)" Kazuya then said apparently out of breath despite haviong only moved a short distance his breathing rate still high due to how scarted he was. Kazuya then trying to calm himself pulled his lute off his back playing it slowly as small flowers formed near his feet continuing this for a few seconds as his breathing began to return to normal stopping plaaying and placing his lute back onto his back and seeing the creature which probably would be restarting circling them again he pulled out a small dagger seeming slightly scared about this still though calmed by the flowers near his feet whioch he glanced at every second or so.

"You okay!?" Kaito had asked, having just used his flute to summon some wind to knock the wild beast back, and was answered with a language he didn't understand. Blinking a couple times the person was breathing heavily, though still able to speak, and Kaito simply looked back at the Areson, "Guess that means 'kind of."

Glancing back at the Areson, which was shaking it's head and getting back up, he looked back to the man and noticed he was trembling considerably. This wouldn't be good, because Aresons were known for their speed and ability to produce fire from their main. A deadly combination for someone ill prepared to face a fully grown male. Hearing some music being played Kaito looked quickly to see the man playing a lute, flowers growing around him as he continued to blow into the finely tuned insturment; with each not his shaking slowing until it completely vanished. Once he stopped they were both surrounded by flowers, the Areson seemingly having stopped the listen to the melody.

Kazuya pulled out a small dagger, still scarred, though calm enough to think straight so he could fight. Both men looked at the horse, it's green mane waving in the wind and sending a crackle of embers every so often, and stood stunned when the unthinkable happened. The creature spoke. The maw, which before had only produced neighs and snorts, began pronouncing English words with a deep accent, "Indeed that was a beautiful song. Seems you humans know the importance of music as well. I do not mean to sound brass, but maybe we can talk this out . . ."

Zerin chuckled to himself. He stretched and cracked joints, all the while assessing his opponent. His size may be large, but his intelligence was much below average. The wears on his armor were the worst of any of his group. A naive man would expect this to mean he was tougher. Zerin happened to know that the group lost their fight, meaning more damage just meant a greater thrashing. This either meant that he was the weakest of the group, or that everyone focused their attacks on him in that fight. He had to decide the latter, but that didn't mean his skills were any greater. As large as the man was, he knew he could win. He was sure of it. "Hey, you ready? I'll be nice and let you take the first move."

He readied his stance and prepared for the boar man's worst.

Broward chuckled at the man's overconfidence, seeing that he had assumed many things which were probably incorrect. Lowering himself the boar-man flexed his muscled in a display of strength before giving a loud bellow, charging at the man before hitting him head on in a full tackle. Lifting the man easily he raised him into the air before slamming him back into the ground, stomping his foot into the ground to launch him into the air. Landing back in his original position Broward turned to his group with a scoff, "Guess I should've gone easier on easier on him, right? Oh well he gave me a free hit and I took it."

"Well, that hurt." Zerin said as he stood up. It was slightly difficult, but his intense training with beasts twice the man's size had allowed him to resist it fairly well. He stretch again, and said, "I guess it's my turn now, then?"

He charged, full speed, at the man, allowing the instincts given to him from years of living in the wild to take him over. He did a flip, using the man's shoulder's as a base, and landed behind him. He swept his feet and before the man landed, he gave him a sharp kick right in the pit of his gut. Never letting down his guard, he shouted, "Is that all? I'm just getting started!"

"Broward you might want to turn around," Eris said pointing behind him as Zerin stood up. He wasn't covered in blood, but the wounds to his body would doubtless leave good sized bruises all over his body. Turning back around Broward laughed at his opponent, surprised he had gotten up after a harsh slam like that. Lowering himself he waved his hand, awaiting his opponents next move. Within seconds he threw a right punch while the man charged in at full speed, thinking he wouldn't be able to dodge the attack. Yet he was proven wrong. Zerin had somehow gotten around the punch and used Broward's own shoulder to launch himself into the air and land behin him, sweeping his legs to deliver a sharp kick into the pit of his gut.

"Oh!"
"Nice one kiddo," Aesa called out watching the show.

"Is that all? I'm just getting started!"

A sudden tightness around his ankle stopped Zerin from speaking as Broward looked up, holding onto the leg which had kicked him. Lifting him up like a pillar he began swinging him around while stating he shouldn't get too cocky; an odd thing his friends noted coming from him. With a heave Broward threw him into the armory via another wall, hearing tools crash around him inside.

"Suit yourself, you probably couldn't stand the force of my Mystical Magical Blade anyway." The boy said and than stood up, rubbing his head after the punch he had received from the girl. "Even if all my violin playing is supportive, guess you just can't help everyone." The boy turned and started to walk away from the two. "This wouldn't have been a bad meeting at all had she not been so strong, I think I have a mild concussion here..." The boy thought as he walked out of view...
