[*]Think through your card design. You don’t get far in the world with just a nice personality, right? The same goes for card making. If your card image is stretched or doesn’t look nice then no one will really want to view it.

[*]Don’t think Google images is any good? Be accurate in what kind of picture you want and it should work fine. E.g. Chuck Norris manga. This also provides a much better outcome for people / shows which exist. –

And just generally browse the web for images that are pleasing. Look at the image carefully; if it has a blank background it is going to look a bit boring. Too much of a distracting background and your viewer won’t be able to tell who or what your focal point is. (Focal point = focus point)

2. Creativity with your effects Be creative with your card effects. Research the chosen character or thing using Wikipedia and make their effects relate to them. Say it’s Naruto from the hit anime show ‘Naruto’, he is obviously a Ninja and his trademark move is the shadow clone jutsu in which he multiplies into several copies of himself. Use that to your advantage, for example:

For every ____ place 3 Spell Counters on this card. Remove 3 Spell Counters from this card in order to Special Summon 1 ‘Naruto Uzumaki’ in face-up attack position.

3. OCG Everything you need to know about OCG is here: http://forum.yugiohc...rules/]Yu-Gi-Oh

Now, in my opinion OCG isn’t terribly important as long as you are CREATIVE with your cards appearance and most importantly; their effects.
