Admiral Tim
So I came up with an awesome idea for a new game much like many threads in the poll section I'm going to simulate face off between two pokemon. But not before you cast your votes in and a bit of information of why you think the pokemon should win. There will be two contestants (Or more) but I might also throw in a bit extra such as terrain and items. So with out further ado let the Pokemon Fight Club begin!
The First Battle Venusaur Vs. Torterra Venusuar Marching into battle is the dual Grass/Poison type pokemon Venusaur! Though shorter and lighter than its opponent It is strong none the less. Its ability overgrow boosts the power of its grass type moves. Its monstrous Sp. ATK and Sp. DEF along with its resistence to grass type moves will make it a tough pokemon to beat. Name: Venusaur Height: 6'07" Weight: 220.5lbs Ability: Overgrow Type: Grass/Poison Weak To: Flying, Psychic, Fire, Ice Resistent to: Fighting, Water, Grass, Electric Immune To: None Best Stats: Sp. ATK and Sp. DEF Worst Stat: Speed Best Advantage: Faster, Resistant to Torterra's Grass moves. Worst Disadvantage: Less Bulky. Torterra This Fourth generation starter is a force to be reckoned with as this titanic grass/Ground type pokemon enters the ring. This behemoth is slow but has nice attack and defense stats as well as decent HP, Sp. ATK and Sp.Def. Weighing in at 683.4lbs this heavyweight will be hard to takedown. Just like its foe Venasaur It has the overgrow ability that powers up its grass type moves. Name: Torterra Height: 7'03" Weight: 683.4lbs Ability: Overgrow Type: Grass/Ground Weak To: Flying, Bug, Fire, Ice Resistent to: Ground, Rock Immune To: Electric Best Stats: ATK and DEF Worst Stat: Speed Best Advantage: Bulkier, Physical attacks can penetrate Venusaur's slightly weaker DEF Worst disadvantage: Slow, can be exploited do to Venusaur's higher Sp. ATK and its slightly lower Sp. DEF Result: Venusaur being faster strikes first and uses sleep powder putting the opposing torterra to sleep. Venusaur charges then uses a solarbeam. Torterra wakes but is badly damaged and uses earthquake. Venusuar being bulky enough survives the hit and finishes of Torterra with a petal dance. Winner: Venusaur

1: I will be the one deciding who will win the fights no one else can. 2: Please offer evidence as to why one pokemon should win as opposed to the other. (Ex. Don't just say I think this pokemon should win.) 3: Only add in legit advice 4: Please no god-modding 5: Respect others opinions but feel free to counter there argument 6: I also take no credit in any of these pictures as I do not own any of them 7: Please state who would win in a fight not who you like more

The First Battle Venusaur Vs. Mr Dr Professor Spaz
Venusaur can learn Sludge Bomb which is super effective on Torterra.

~British Soul~
actually i'd disagree with that point, because Sludge Bomb is not Super effective on Torterra, though i get where you're coming from, it is a decent move and it can deal a bit of damage is a trainer doesn't EV train Torterra's Sp. Def as to who i think shoud win, well in my personal opinion i also think Venusaur would win because, Venusaur can exploit Torterra's low Sp. Def and can use both of it's type to its advantage, however Torterra's higher ATK than Venusaur's Sp. ATK means that it can statistically do more damage to venusaur do it having a Slightly lower Def than Torterra's Sp. Def, though that can be left unnoticed with Natures around my vote goes to venusaur this week

Dwarven King
Basically what everyone else said. Venusaur strikes first with Sleep Powder...then proceeds to beat the living hell out of Torterra.

What everyone else said though, Venasaur.
