Hi, this is a re-start of an earlier fanfic, I hope this attract attention. Co not spam, or troll. Any advice is appreciated.

 

[spoiler=Prologue-Unfair Treaty]

When the Arcadia Movement was destroyed, hordes of psychic duelist were stranded, no leader, no group, and most had no homes. Two leaders rose up, Miren  Fuhu and Ules Chu. Both were powerful duelists, and powerful psychics. Merin created the Neo Arcadia, while Ules made the Pheonix Movement. The two groups coexisted peacefully, until one day, on the anniversary of the Arcadia movements destruction, a street duel broke out. Both particapents were high ranking members of opposite groups. The psychic powers unleashed that day, killed both duelists. No one knew who started the duel, and both groups blamed each other. Both embarked on projects to destroy the other group. Thus, THE PROJECT.

 

 

 

[spoiler=Chapter 1 -Recurring Nightmare&Hero Mask]

I will not reveal my name, though I will tell you I'm known as M. I assure you I was present at all  events that took place, also I can tell the thoughts of the people involved. I  Without further ado, the story.

 "Mr. Fuhu, a duelist is here to see you."

 That was Miren's personal assistant, Alis Cham. Miren himself was staring out the window at a skyscraper with look of intense hatred.

 Alis said somthing to the duelist, the duelist said something to Alis, causing her eyes

 to widen. "She says she knows of the project, and can help." 

Miren's eyes darted towards the door and said "Alis, let her in, this project must be completed." The door opened,  and in walked a woman dressed in a black skirt with orange markings on her top, she had black hair down to her shoulders. 

"I serve a power that can grant your wishes, duel their servants and they might find you worthy to seek their help."

Miren's face turned chalk white, then blood red "It can't be! I thought she was cured!You killed my leader once... Mrs. Carly Carmine!"

Hi, my friend will tell you about the Neo Arcadia, I'll tell you about the phoenix movement. You can call me U.

 Ules was lounging around in his office, when his secretary Ms. Lauren Maxine said 

"Hello Mr. Chu, how are you doing?" 

"I'm fine Lauren, though I feel like a duel." 

"Yes sir, new recruits need testing, I believe their names were Sola and Tigre." 

Ules looked bored and sighed "Okay, but after that I'm going out to look for a challenge." 

Ules got his battle city style duel disk and the deck labled "GENERIC PSYCHIC DECK". He went down the elevator, a special one that a special card was needed to open. When he got to the bottom floor he saw two duelists who he knew were troublemakers bullying a weaker psychic and duelist. 

"Gentlemen, we don't want a misunderstanding, do we?"

 The bullies looked up and saw him, their expressions turned to fear. "S-sir, we were just-"

"SILENCE!" 

I would deal with you by dueling you, but I have more important things to attend to." 

He gave two cards to the kid who was being bullied, the kid's eyes widened. Turning back to the bullies he said "Your punishment is dueling this child, he'll have 8000 LP and you'll tag team. Go to secure dueling field 15, the card I gave him should act as a key. " He turned and walked away.

I hope he doesn't hurt them too bad.

Ules got to the testing field and put on his duel disk "Which one of you wants to go first?" 

Two green haired kids who looked like siblings were seated. The one called Tigre stood up and said 

"Me and my sister duel together, we'll do a double duel!" 

"He's a feisty one, that will mean he"ll be a stronger psychic."

 The girl stood up and said "What my brother means to say, is that we have a strong connection, our parents aren't usually home, so we bonded." 

"That's usually what happens to psychics, shunned by their parents. We just need to know how powerful  psychics you are." 

Ules got out his duel disk and called for a technician 

"Please hand me the dueling AI, deck: Theta." 

The technician handed him a spherical object with a life point counter and a duel disk built in to it. He hooked it on the wall. 

"Now, let's play!" 

 

---------------------------DUEL!---------------------------------

 

The siblings loaded their duel disks and activated their Life Point counters. 

"I'll draw, I summon Morphtronic Celfon in attack position!" A cute little mechanical warrior with numbers on its chest appeare appeared, it looked determined. "Use, Dial Up!" the numbers on the warriors chest flashed randomly, getting slower and slower, until the light stopped on 5.

 

 "Yeah, I get to look at my top 5 cards, and any level 4 or lower Morphtronics I find are special summoned." A hologram of the card Morphtronic Lighton, Morphtronic Boomboxen, Morphtronic Copytron and Morphtronic Magnen Bar. "Yes, I Summon them all in defense position, and I activate the effect of Morphtronic Copytron! This allows me to, if I have a tuner on the field, have this card be treated as a tuner monster by paying 1000 Life Points.

 

 Now I tune Morphtronic Celfon, Morphtronic Boomboxen and Morphtronic Magnen Bar to Morphtronic Lighton! Morphtronic Lighton broke into 3 green rings, the other Morphtronics jumped in the rings and turned into stars. "Yeah! Power Tool Dragon."

 A bead of sweat appeared on Ules' forehead 

"That card was only released a few times, it's incredibly rare!"

"Then I activate Power Tool Dragon's effect and choose "Power Tool C&D", "Downgrade", and "Power Pickaxe".

A hologram of A screaming man, a yellow pickaxe, and A drill and saw appeared. they turned there backs to him and a yellow light spun on them. When the light disappeared Oel added two back to his deck. 

 

"Yes, I got Downgrade, I equip Downgrade to Copytron! The strength and courage to protect the world's future is a revolution! Synchro Summon! Evolve, Life Stream Dragon!" Pure undiluted fear struck Ules' face, "No, the only copy of that card is in possession of... wait, close siblings, green hair, morphtronics, Sola, Tigre. They're Leo and Luna!"

[spoiler=Chapter 2-Volcano Queen]

 

2 days previously

I'm sorry that we're going in a round-a-bout fashion, but it's the easiest way for us. I'm Yuren Tara, or Ta (Ta-I) for short. I am corporeal, (unlike the other two). I'm just a mediocre duelist, but recently I found a card that changed my playing style, Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity. I usually run a Light-Synch deck, heavily using Synchros, but now I've based my deck with support for this card (Strangely I  checked on my duel disk's card database, but no mention of it. I also checked online, but still no! Strangely enough though, when I duel I can summon it. I checked where it came from, but nothing. The one lead I have is that on the day I got it, a governmental (Japanese) program involving alternate reality was initiated. Sorry, enough backstory.

 

 I went out for a walk, when I met a hooded person with a black and red duel disk.

"Challenge" they said an emotionless voice.

"Sure, I was getting bored."

"Draw. Activate continuous spell, The Cathedral Of Infero. Set three cards. Then set one monster."

A majestic cathedral appeared, covering us and the park we were in, but with closer inspection I saw flames and demons.

I drew and smirked,

"I'll activate Solar Recharge, Discarding Wolf The Lightsworn beast. Then I special summon Light-Synch - Sered The Barbarian." 

A Caveman in white armor appeared, it had a javelin of pure light.

"Then I Special Summon Light-Synch - Sukefen the Priestess by "Light Crystal, unfortunately I have to pay 500 Life points by its effect." A lady in white robes with a golden circlet and a staff of pure light appeared accompanied by a diamond shining so bright I had to avert my eyes.

 

"Then I'll tune my level 4 Priestess to my level 5 Barbarian, and by the effect of the level 1 Light-Synch - Herald in my hand, I can Summon Light-Synch - Eradin the Eradicator! When dark rises, Light appears and frees the world. Pure light, Eradin, Appear!"

A paladin in gold and white armor appeared. On his sword he had three dull gemstones, and a rarer more beautiful one on his helmet.  He had a sword that was so bright you would be blind if you looked at it (of course, this was only a hologram).

"My paladin gains an effect based on every light monster in my grave. I used three to Summon him, and by Solar Recharge I discarded wolf and sent Ryko to my graveyard. That makes 5. Unfortunately for you, my Herald's effect removes itself from play to send two from my deck to the graveyard. Then my Eradicator's effect activates, sending Herald Of Destruction to my grave. Now since I have seven cards in my grave I will, granted It's a dark monster, attack again, gain 300 ATK, negate its effect, and deal 200 damage."

My opponent didn't give any reaction, except nodding dispassionately.

"I'll attack your facedown, Pure Eradication!"

I attacked his facedown, it turned out to be Vengeful Magician. As it was destroyed the gemstones on my paladin's sword glowed. His cathedral released two black spears that struck him, though it only did 200 damage.

"Yeah, Now my paladin's effects activate, now It's not destroyed, and you take 3700 damage!"

My opponent acknowledged this with a nod.

 "Wow, you sure are cold. I end my turn."

"My turn. Draw. Summon Zure Knight Of The Dark World. Activate Scroll Of Bewitchment. Change attribute of Zure to light."

"CRAP!!! He figured out my weakness!"

"Zure, battle!"

My paladin's sword shrunk. You see while fighting light monsters my paladin's attack halves.

"Zure destroys your paladin. Dealing you 50 damage."

"Still, I only took 50 damage. Next turn I-"

I was interrupted as 10 white spears that did me 1000 damage sprung from the center of the cathedral.

"Ahhh! I felt that!"

The opponent smirked.

"Finally, I can drop this emotionless facade. We are in the realm of shadows, transported there by my Cathedral."

I narrowed my eyes. 

"It doesn't matter, I'll still win."

"Very well, I'll set a card and end my turn."

I drew, but I only had 2 cards in my hand!

"I Summon Garoth the Lightsworn Warrior, and now I attack Zure!

"I activate my facedown, Chaos Blast. Meaning I negate your attack, destroy your monster, and dealing 1000 damage. Of course my Monster is destroyed to, dealing me 400 damage."

"Thank god, it's over

"But it's not over yet, since I have a facedown Spell of Pain, allowing me to inflict that to you!"

"Crap! That means I'm only at 650"

"Correction, crap I was at 650 and am now at 150. I chain my third facedown, Infernity Sneak Attack, so since I only have The Fabled Feenix I can discard it and special summon Infernity Sniper from my deck. And when Feenix is discarded I deal you 500 damage."

"Wait, I have one hope left! Chain Drawing, activate! I can chain this card as 2 or higher, and draw cards equal to its place. I draw 4 cards. Yes! I drew it! Now, because you destroyed Garoth by card effect I can summon Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity! Wisel, attack the enemy's giant sniper's weak point for massive damage, Wise Energy Strike!"

"STOP!"

I realized I was back in my world. I looked at my duel disk, it read "No Conclusion".

I decided to go home, but suddenly I was overwhelmed by tiredness. I fainted, but the last thing I saw was a man bending over me.

[spoiler=Chapter 3-Mausoleum Of The Emperor]

When I regained consciousness, I felt a tingling in my arm. I looked over, I saw an IV drip on my arm.

"He's awake.

"I told you not to push him!"

"I didn't realize he had so much connection with his monster's!"

"W-what's happening, aren't I home?

The man I had seen standing over me before I lost coussiusness spoke.

"You are in the headquarters of the Yliaster."

I was alarmed.

"What! Yliaster was the group that summoned the King of the Underworld!"

I tried to sit up, but I couldn't and my heart rate monitor spiked.

A woman came into my vision, she wore a doctor or nurse's uniform.

"Quickly, get him a sedative!"

I was given a medication an lapsed back into unconsciousness.

 

I dreamt about some really weird things, you won't believe it. First I dreamed about my mom talking to a man with a black crown, she nodded and he said "Very well." My mother was lifted into the air and darkness engulf her. I saw my best friend burned alive.

 

The next time I woke up I was in a bedroom.

The women wearing a nurse's uniform came in.

"How are you feeling? You were out for a day and a half."

"What! What about my mom?

"Don't worry. She thinks you were selected for a special program at your school.

"Why shouldn't I just leave you, and the people at Yliaster?"

"Because, the people of this city, this world, hell, every world need you."

She looked at me sincerely, and I believed her.

"It has something to do with this doesn't it?"

I showed her my card, the Machine Emperor one.

"Yes, it saved you."

"How?"

"Imagine, you hadn't drawn it. You would have lost. Also, you seem to have amazing connection with your monsters. You might not have made it."

"Why do you want me here, I want to help, but I don't want to be your mindless slave."

"We need you to open the full power of that card, it's supposed to be a set of six cards, each independent and upgradeable."

"I know your'e not telling me enough, but fine. I'm bored, can I  duel someone?"

"Sure, but since we don't want you to faint for 2 days when you win, and possibly die if you lose, you'll have to use a different deck than your usual one."

"Okay, but with your resources you must have a spare deck or two, right?"

A big smile appeared on her face.

"Better, we have access to almost every card imaginable."

 

 

 

[spoiler=Chapter 4-Two Betrayals Part 1]

About 5 hours later I had made 20 or so decks, and my outlook on this place had dramatically changed.

"So, which deck are you using?" Someone came up, they were dressed in red.

"Who are you?"

"What, you don't remember me? I was the one who dueled you, my name's Sabrina."

"You mean the person who made me duel where I almost died?"

"Hey, you accepted. And no one knew you would be so in danger, you still haven't answered my question."

"I guess you're right. I'm gonna use this one." I showed her my monarch deck.

"Actually, I would recommend using the this one."

She pointed at a different deck.

I hadn't seen it before, but I trusted her judgement.

"So, I'm going to show you to your opponent, he runs all this."

She motioned to the room, in fact she motioned all around.

"What, he's the head of Yliaster?"

"No, he built the VR! No one's told you?"

"What's VR?"

"It's virtual reality. I thought you knew."

"Okay, could you show me to him?"

"Sure, right this way." She led me along, and what would have taken us about a ten minute walk (in a maze) took us much less because in VR reality bended to our will (I even hear you can teleport, but I enjoyed the walk.) She stopped in front of a door.

"So, there's a few things, you should know about your opponent. First of, he's a little eccentric. And secondly-"

The door opened and a floating ball with a big blue eye and blue lines running along it appeared, it appeared to be humming.

"Oh, hello. Are you Mr.Tara?"

"W-w-what is that thing!"

"I would prefer not to be called a "thing". I am Kin Tangent, I see you have met my daughter, Sabrina Tangent."

"I'm sorry, I was about to tell him dad."

"It's okay."

"Please stop referring to me as if I'm not here, also why are you a..."

"Ah, I am in an avatar, my image projected, you can create one later. Though this is the only true avatar, the others are merely skins."

"This is mine."

Sabrina morphed into a blazing woman with a body made of fire.

I stepped back and blinked.

"Okay, I'm going to try and take this in."

"Sorry, do you know what the D-momentum reactor is?"

"Well, it uses the energy from duel disks and D-Wheels to power the city, synchro summing ups it."

 

"Of course, but what does this have to do with your avatar?

"Dad figured out how to really get all the power from it and that's how we power the system."

"Cool, but can I duel?"

"Of course.",

 

(This next part will be told from Kin's point of view.)

"I'll go first!" Yuren said "I summon Obsidan Dragon (ATK:800 DEF:2100) in attack position. Now I'll tribute it too special summon Obsidian Behemoth in defense position. Now I'll set two cards, and end my turn."

"I shall move, okay?" "Go ahead" He shot back. 

"I special summon "Cyber Dragon ", then I special summon "Tech Genus Commander" by his effect, his effect also sends one monster from my deck to the graveyard and decrease cyber dragon's level by 1. I send "Cyber Bottomfeeder" and by his effect I special summon him, and increase the level of my dragon by 1. Now I synchro summon, The boundless light, to match the sun, machine's savior, Celestial Android Dragon!

 

Now, since I used my cyber dragon and bottomfeeder for the synchro summon, my dragon gains 400 ATK, and its effect says it gains 200 ATK for each LIGHT monster I control. And since I haven't normal summoned I can bring out this, GO "Replicator"! It allows me to summon 3 "Replication" Tokens. I equip  Shooting Star Bow - Ceal and Fist of the Underdog, my dragons ATK is 5400. Sorry, but you lose.
