The region was renowned worldwide, and was known affectionately as "The Isles of Love", due to the friendliness of its inhabitants. It was said that this was due to the Legendary Pokémon Tendove (who is said to be the source of all love on the planet) making its home beneath the surface of the Iridusk Region. However, something is amiss...The Rose's Heart, a magnificent rose-colored crystal found within the heart of the Northern Desert, has gone missing, inexplicably. Now, the climate has changed, and a new group has arisen...La[font="Arial"][size="2"] Fazione del Cuore Annerito, often shortened to La Fazione. So, when he saw a boy abusing a Zorua, he immediately came to the Tricky Fox Pokémon's aid. He attempted to settle the dispute between the boy, who was the Zorua's trainer, and the Pokémon peacefully, but to no avail. So, the trainer released the Zorua, who decided it wanted to join Rose and become his friend.[/size] [size="2"]When Rose turned thirteen, his mother disappeared and his father was murdered by a member of La Fazione's Operazioni Speciali. As Rose wept, his father gave him this piece of wisdom: "It may be the right thing to love everyone and everything, but that can never happen in a world like ours...You must do what is meant to be done...You must remember...There is a fine line between doing the right thing and doing what needs to be done...That is but one part of the whole truth..." I won't accept you quite yet...A Camerupt and Magcargo are a bit too strong for the first gym, don't you think? Replace them or make them a Numel and Slugma, and you're accepted. He always loved his family and his family loved him. When he started his journey, he became home sick after 2 months (Where we was in Saffron at the time). He then decided he would pay them a visit. He went to the Pokemart to buy some mail to send, to tell them about his arrival. When I ask the shop employee if he would send the mail to his house in Pewter, he said, "I'm sorry, we don't carry mail there any more." Thinking this was just some bad luck, he decided to make it a surprise. As soon as he didn't hear the rustle and bustle of the usual Pewter City noise, he knew something wasn't right. At this point he was running and stopped at the edge of the town to see his town shreds. He flagged done a officer to ask what happened. The cop said, "One of those teams. We're not sure if it's Plasma or Rocket. They left no evidence, but took all the money in the city and everyone as hostages." It was at that moment that Mina decided he would go to the ends of the Earth and further to find who was responsible and become the Pokemon Champion.
