Yugioh! The Ancient Prophecy... [PG-16]

Seth's face completely drained of its colour as the goblins awoke and were obliterated, and the onslaught of each other enemy card came at him. "N-No!! This wasn't meant to happen! You shouldn't have been able to make such a recover-AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!" THe blast struck him to such an extent he collapsed onto his back. However, the shadows did not fade away. They released their grip on Suzume, but suddenly began to completely encase Seth. "This can't be!!" He shouted, screaming a horrifying scream. He noticed that the shadows were now acvtualyl holding him - his protection was no longer effective. He let out one more muffled scream before something even stranger occurred; Seth began to glow. A strange visable blood-red aura was being emitted, and then it and he darkness faded. When all was done, Seth lay unconscious on his back, though weather or not his soul had been devoured was yet to be seen. His Toon Cards fell out of his deck, and the top card lay on the top of the pile; Shining Friendship. Quite ironic.

As the shadows faded, so did the monsters on Suzume's field; all except Ruby Carbuncle, and, oddly, Topaz Tiger, who faded, but remained distinct as spirits. Suzume looked at them for a moment, confused, before making her way over to the tiger.
"Topaz Tiger?" she questioned, reaching out to the beast. It turned quickly, and she brought her hand back out of instinct.
"Yes, Suzume?" it replied, in a gruff male voice
"Err..." Suzume was suddenly a bit uncertain. She didn't really know what to say.
"Ah, this is the first time we have met face to face. All seven of us are with you, although it will take time for us to all appear. We will come, though, when you really need us."
"Thankyou," she replied, and then saw the unconcious Seth. She hurried over to him and shook him. "Hey, are you alright?"

Dark Valkyria turned around, just after someone entered the building. Don was looking up at another skyscraper, thinking.
"Perhaps I should inform the boy that you have delivered the details. I will be able to get through the building unnoticed."
Don turned around. "Tha's no' a bad idea, lassie. Ah'll wait fer ye inside then."
The two turned around and re-entered the office, only to see several security officers rushing through reception and the woman at the desk shouting.
"The man who just entered is not present," Dark Valkyria noted, "and there are people who are seeking the boy."
"Go find 'im noo," Don told her, an urgent tone in his voice. Picking up on it, the spirit shot off, heading for where she'd left him earlier. Being invisible to most people, as well as security cameras and sensors, she could get through without security knowing she even existed, let alone was in their territory.
Don headed over to the receptionist. "Ye dinne mind if ah wait here fer a few minutes?" he asked, "ah'm a bit ahead of schedule."

Seth was evidently breathing, but seemed unconscious. Anyone who knew what it meant to be in a Duat Challenge would believe his soul had been vanquished, and that his body was now merely a shell. However, all of such knowledge was defied in the brief moment that Seth's eyes tightened and loosened as he began to gain consciousness. Finally, his eyes completely opened, but for some reason this time they weren't as dark as they had been before - he was no longer under Amathoz's control, or at least, not forcefully. "Nnnng...I...I knew it..." He murmrured beneath his breath.

Yuzaki scoffed at what Seth told him about sands of time and what not. That guy was really something, but this made Yuzaki wonder was Suzume really his queen in a past life? He didn't put much thought into this as he saw the duel progress and noticed that Suzume seized the window that gave her the upper hand quickly. He looked back at Drew very concerned with his apparent amnesia. "The three Egyptian God Cards, the first three that were printed and given out only to the top three duelists in the nationals? You placed third and had Slifer?" he said, "Come on man! What have they done to you? We were the best duelists in school!" Then he noticed that the shadows had started to fade and go to Seth. "You won..." he told Suzume and then they both hurried to the unconscious Seth. Seth was murmuring something but Yuzaki could not hear it very well. "We need to help him," said Yuzaki Suzume looked at him questionably, "he may be bad but he is a human being, mostly." Yuzaki heard something beeping continuously and saw that it was his duel disk which Suzume still had on her arm. He pulled her arm towards him and read the message on the LCD display. Someone broke in my building, but why would they...Track! He became very jumpy and was eager to finish this quickly so he could go to his building and save Track, luckily time stopped during the Duat Challenge so he had more time than he knew.

As he rounded yet another corner, listening to the continued threats to 'use lethal force', Escher glimpsed what could have been red hair in one of the conference rooms. Deciding that would be the first place to look, after losing or otherwise incapacitating the guards, Escher rounded another corner, ducked into a storage closet, and heard the running feet of 12 to 15 armed guards run past. Chuckling, Escher removed 'Kozaky' from his Disc, switched it and the 'Invert' filter off, and unstrapped it from his arm. "Fun little toys Master Yuzaki has come up with, but everything needs a little improvement, eh?" After placing the Disc back in his bag, he retrieved his grappling hook. Contemplating reconfiguring it into its more 'battle-ready' blade-shaped mode, he ultimately decided against it. "Until the package has been delivered, lacerations and deaths would be inconvenient. Deaths by blood loss bring questions," he mused, now collapsing the prongs on the hook into more of a club-shape, "although concussions, unconsciousness and deaths by blunt force bring questions as well, they aren't nearly as messy. How would it look to young Master Track if I were to walk in, covered in blood? He would never accept the package if that were to happen. However," Escher continued, looking at the contents of his hiding place, "a change of attire may be in order."

Minutes later, a janitor in a poorly-fitting jumpsuit and overalls, carrying a black bag and club-whip, walked out of the closet and towards the room where he had thought he saw Track.

Drew stared at Yuzaki with a smile on his face. Drew had heard Yuzaki say Drew Yuzaki and Lucas were the best duelists in school and that they each had an Egyptian god card. He then heard that he came third. "Third is that it. I should have been first." Drew then started searching through his deck until he pulled out the card slifer the sky dragon. "I knew there was something about this card. Drew then noticed that the duel was over and Seth had collapsed. Drew shook his head. "Dont worry about him. It's his own fault. He decided to disobey Amathoz so he payed the price. " Drew looked at Yuzaki and smiled. "Okay Yuzaki listen one time I will defeat you. However that time is not today. Drew turned around and was about to leave. He turned back to Yuzaki. "Anything you want me to pass on to Amathoz. And is there anything you wish to tell me."

Yuzaki's eyes finally returned to normal and when he heard Drew he quickly turned to him and remarked. "He's your friend," said Yuzaki, "aren't you going to help him?" Yuzaki stood up and reached in his own deck and pulled out the Winged Dragon of Ra, the card awarded to the duelist that topped first place. "Also, that would be me that got first place Drew," said Yuzaki with a more serious tone, "tell Amathoz that I won't let him take any of my friends... Including you." Ra was basically a random floater in his deck, a card that seemed out of place. However, if it was there Yuzaki had most likely developed a strategy to get it out easily. Though the God Cards were not legal except for two with toned down versions of their effects the first three that were printed included all of the effects that were on the series plus some extra effects that were never mentioned. "Also," said Yuzaki, "don't worry, you will be saved; that card you hold will be the key in freeing your mind." Both cards glew suddenly and then dimmed down causing a surprise for both of them and even Suzume. He waved him off. "If you're not going to do anything I'm leaving," said Yuzaki a little hesitant, "Suzume, I need my duel disk back, I'm going to check out whats happening at my building. Maybe it would be best if you come too, I can't afford you being attacked without me being here, they might want that." As he said this he looked again at Drew who was still at the door. He waited for a response from Suzume who was a little confused and it may have been attributed to this, what Seth said about the past and/or even by the glowing cards.

Suzume could barely follow all this stuff about ancient Egypt. It seemed her opponent was fine, or at least still alive. Whilst she was glad, she didn't have too much sympathy for him, since the whole thing was his fault - and really hurt. That other person, who seemed to know Yuzaki, wasn't so keen on a fight, but didn't seem to be so bothered about Seth's well-being. There was a lot of new information in that duel, and she phased out trying to process it.
Yuzaki's prompt reminded her she'd used his duel disk, and not her own. "Oh, right," she mutered, pulling out her cards and handing it over again. "Thanks, Yuzuki," she added softly.

She turned back to Drew. "So if you're on his side, you can deal with him, right? Like Yuzaki said, he may be a bad man, but he's still a man." She turned back to Yuzaki. "Which I already knew, by the way," she added, "so thanks for making me feel like a horrible person." She paused for a moment. When she continued, her voice was softened.

"How are we getting to your offices? I'm not coming if you're running there; I'm too worn out to run"

Echer may have had a head start, but Dark Valkyria had the advantage of being able to start looking closer to Track, as well as not being limited by obstructions - or gravity. She was thus able to find the boy before anyone human.
"Track," she said as she entered the room through a wall, "we may have a problem."

Yuzaki, though a little hesitant, softly patted Suzume on her shoulder. "You're not a horrible person don't say that," he said trying to calm her down, "you defended yourself, there is no sin in that." He took the unconcious Seth and placed him on the nearby chair while he took Suzume and made for the exit. "Drew, I know you will come through eventually," said Yuzaki, "at least help him out, he's still alive. Tell Amathoz not to kill him under my orders, I'm still HIS pharaoh; give him that message too." The last sentence was pronounced with bitterness and anger which made him resemble Amathoz in such a way that it was almost intimidating. Yuzaki was pulling Suzume out of the room in such a way that he was almost carrying her when he remembered that she said she was worn out and couldn't run, he reached into his pocket and pulled out keys. "I have a spare helmet," said Yuzaki in a cheerful tone that resembled his past self, "and you have never ridden my bike before." She seemed hesistant about the idea but Yuzaki would not take no for an answer. After 'persuading' the secretary to send an excuse to their classroom, they were able to go to the parking space where his motorcycle was parked. At a glance it might seem like a normal Harley but when looked at more closely there were some modifications to it, gas exhaust pipe was covered with a plastic that would permit anyone who did not have long pants ride it without risk of getting burnt, the seat had the seat for a second passenger and both seats were modified to make sure the rider and passenger could not fall off accidently, there was a lot of protective armor on it and finally most intriguing was a place where Yuzaki locked in his duel disk. "Duel Runner prototype," said Yuzaki mater-of-factly, "still working out the kinks though so it's not ready to hit the market." He got on and turned on the bike, a roar echoed in the empty parking lot. Yuzaki looked at Yuzaki and held out his hand. "Are you coming or not?"

[OOC: The Duel Runner is a complete prototype so it does not actually work; it may hint of a sequel and duel runners may be part of that sequel :D]

After several minutes had elapsed, Seth started to get his strength back and got to his knees. "Drew!" He shouted weakly, "Why didn't you try to stop them!?!" He loked angry, but drained severely. This isn't good... He thought to himself. I've never felt this weak before...not for 10,000 years...and this pain... He placed his hand on his shoulder where he'd fallen on something hard. Normally, pain like this would go away in a minute or two, unconscious or not, but this time, was he actually...bruised? No way...could my pact with the gods have been..anulled?! Eventually, he stopped thinking in his head and began thinking aloud, "If the pact has been annulled...then if I go back to master Amathoz I could be killed! What should I do...?" He started to panic as he rose to his feet, after picking up his cards and placing them all back in his duel disk.

Susume sighed. He just doesn't get it, does he? she decided, Still, at least he cares By this point a mixture of adrenaline, pain and exhaustion left her rather disoriented, and she didn't bother to resist when Yuzaki half-dragged, half-carried her from the room. This feels nice...wait, what? No, this is just Yuzaki being a friend. Get a grip Suzume. She pulled herself out of his grip as he pulled out the keys to his bike, suggesting she ride. She was somewhat sceptical about this, after all the thought of clinging to Yuzaki for dear life as they flew along at insane speeds was not something she thought would be fun so much as terrifying. However, her friend would not be swayed, and she followed him out to his parking space.

It was better than she'd expected. There was a proper second seat, and she couldn't fall out. It was also better protected than the other bikes she'd seen. There was, however, one problem.

"Duel Runner? Like from the cartoon? That wasn't real life; this is, and trying to play card games and drive can only end badly." Still, she got onto the bike. "As a bike it's good, it's as a duel disk it's an accident waiting to happen."

Drew watched as Suzume and Yuzaki had walked off to Yuzakis Motor bike. Drew saw that Seth was beginning to wake up. "So your finally awake huh." Drew heard how weak Seth was. He also heard whathe said about his pack with the gods. "I dont know what your talking about but I'm sure Amathoz will spare your life. Seeing that Yuzaki told him to."
Track was relaxing on the chair when suddenly the duel spirit from before returned. "Hey. What's wrong. You seem worried about something."

Yuzaki laughed as she told him that this was real life and a Duel Runner would only bring about more accidents. "Well we won't have to worry about that until I finish it," said Yuzaki thinking back to when people told him a duel disk could not be made, "I will have to increase security clauses but for now it can only hold the duel disk and not actually duel so don't worry." He felt nervous inside as she got on the motorcycle with him, it was something that he did not understand how to feel about it. He looked at her and prepared himself to ride out of there. "Tell me when you're ready," said Yuzaki smiling, "it's going to be a bumpy ride... Seriously, the streets here are broken like crazy; it's a serious danger hazard for any cars or bikes. If I didn't know how to drive we could die."

"An individual without authorisation has entered the building. From what I saw of him, he may be one of the individuals opposing Yuzaki Kinjo who were outside his school earlier today. If that is the case, he may very well be searching for you. I would advise you be on your guard, and start moving - it will be harder for him to find you if you do not maintain a fixed position." She paused. "Also, my partner has supplied his contact information, however if Yuzaki Kinjo has been alerted to this intrusion, he is likely to be making his way here already, and my partner is waiting at reception, so the two may meet directly."

"So this thing is dangerous enough without you playing card games. That's really reassuring," Suzume noted with sarcasm in her voice as she got a good grip, "I'm as ready as I'm going to be, so get going already already."

Still annoyed, but recovering from his shock, Seth began to walk out of the building. The receptionists were confused as to who he was, but he was in no mood to even pose as Christopher now. He started walking, quicker than usual, until he was eventually at the location of the temple. He knocked heavily on the doors before entering. The whole place seemed darker and more wicked to him now, and when he saw Amathoz, his blood ran cold. "M-Master Amathoz..." He began, still concerned about his own safety, "I-I'm terribly sorry to inform you...that I failed my mission, my lord. Miss Suzume Hayashi refused to take the pendant, and..." He cut himself off before sayign anything else. What am I thinking? If I tell him I tried to kill her with a Duat Challenge...but then, he'll know because of my soul... The anxious thoughts pulsated in his mind, and as such he stayed as close to the doors as possible, so that if Amathoz put him in any danger, he'd be able to flee. To Seth, until his grudge against the Pharaoh and Yuzaki was sated, his life could not be jeapodised, regardless of who he's supposed to serve.

Back in the streets of the city, Kai was smirking as he strode along. He was walking around aimlessly, as his dark self controlling him held no thoughts of needing to work or platy at leasure. All it wanted was to strengthen itself, and that would in turn weaken the original. As he continued, D-Digihumans Doragon and Bandit materialised as spirits behind him, and then reverted to their original forms; despite being evil in duels, it seems they were unaffected outside. Kai seemed oblivious to their existance, meaning that only the true Kai would be of any use. Doragon and Bandit gave solemn looks to each other.
'What can we do now...If we take over again, will we be forced out?' Doragon asked. The Bandit looked away.
'Perhaps...Hmm...The true Kai should be somewhere inside his mind, perhaps if we access them, then...'
'THen we can have him co-operate with us and strengthen himself! Great idea, Bandit!' The two Digihumans floated on either side of Kai, before pouncing on him, entering his mind. Kai stopped and held is head in pain, before running into a nearby alleyway. Inside the corridors of his mind, the two Digihumans were cautiously walking - well, the Bandit was, and Doragon flying. The 'corridors' were all splashed with blood and a strange ghost-like purple substance, evidently the embodiment of darkness.
'This is creepy...So this is what happens when a mind is corrupted by darkness?' Doragon said softly. Eventually, they came across a corridor which was unaffected by the darkness, and entered a room through a door at the end. Inside, they found Kai crouched in the corner. They approached him and tried to confort him.
"I-It's you!? Who are you?!" Kai shouted, a bit louder than intended. Doragon and the Bandit kept close and tried their best to calm him down.
'It's us, Digihuman Doragon and the Digihuman Bandit. We helped show you the truth about your past lives in a vision you had while yu were sleeping, remember?' Upon hearing this, Kai found his memories returning. The two began explaining about the darkness which has seized control, and that if they work together they can possibly regain it. Kai hought for a moment and then plucked up courage.
"Okay, then. Let's do it." He raised his arm and thrust his hand into the space between the three of them, who did the same to overlay their appendages. At once, the three seemed to merge together, leaving Kai as the only one left. In the real world, Kai collapsed to his knees, and then fell unconscious like that briefly. When he awoke, his eyes were once again the same as Doragon and Bandit's, but with red pupils. He rose up again and looked at himself. "Could it be...? I've actually come back?" He seemed incredibly happy and proceeded to walk out on the street again, his two spirit friends strengthening his soul and protecting him from the conflicts that gave his inner darkness power. However, they had not been made aware that the pendant around his neck could still give certain individuals to control him, regardless of how many spirits help him.

Drew watched as Seth left the room and headed towards the temple where Amathoz was. Drew also decided to head back. When he got there he went and stood next to Seth. He looked at Amathoz. Master Amathoz. Before I had the chance to challenge Lucas Yuzaki came and told me to tell you to spare Seths life. He also said that he is still your pharaoh." Drew didn't know what exactly Amathoz was going to say or do.
Track listened to what the duel spirit had to say. He nodded as he heard everything. "Got it. Well then we better start running." Track ran outside of Yuzakis office and ran down the corridor. He kept running for a while but soon stoped. "Okay were gonna take a break here then were gonna keep going. Track went to some nearby stairs and sat on them.

Escher quickened his pace towards the conference room; the stolen garments were annoyingly cumbersome, and he was starting to regret this plan. The sounds of the angry security team were fast approaching, and there was no time to waste. He looked more closely into the room, and saw a red projector, no Track here. As he turned to walk down the corridor further, he glimpsed a new flash of red, this time moving down the corridor intersecting this one. Escher started to run, to chase after this red streak. There were stairs at the end of that corridor, those would slow his mark significantly. He entered the corridor, seeing the red-haired person sitting on the stairs, catching their breath. Escher was several feet away, but the distance was decreasing rapidly. "Hello! I have a package for you! If you would just slow down for a moment and allow delivery, it shouldn't take but a few minutes of your time!"

Yuzaki sped off on his motorcycle going faster than he would normally go. He was only kidding about the road since it was not as broken as he led on. Though he had to manuever around some potholes and he almost ran over a dog that got in the way. But he was still a pretty good driver considering he had recieved his license about a month ago. "Testing," said Yuzaki, "hope you can hear me, these helmets have built in microphones so if they do become duel runners you can hear the other duelist clearly and don't have to yell." He made a rough u-turn on a corner and accelerated to reach the building that had the big YK. Co insignia on the very top. The building was a very impressing sight considering it belonged to such a young man. It's walls were all windows and it seemed like a japanese styled building completely made of glass. However, the glass windows were made of a special type of glass that did not break even when shot with a pump action shotgun and they did not increase the sun's rays because they were tinted with a special ink that shaded the people inside but still maintained a transparent appearance.

Amathoz looked at Drew with much fury in his gaze and then he directed this intimidating look to Seth, his red eyes seemed to ooze lava from the anger that boiled up inside of them. "Seth Bes!" bellowed Amathoz in such a tone that could make any man shrivel in fear, "you disobeyed my orders by challenging the queen, don't bother hiding it. I was there... I confronted the pharaoh before he entered the room and I stayed to see what you two would do." He looked back at Drew and still maintained a very enraged look. "Drew!" he bellowed, "you bring this statement from the pharaoh, did I ask for a messenger? No I did not!" The torches that were on the entrance doors were extinguished and Amathoz lowered his tone to the very sarcastic and evil tone he had always used. "Well then," said Amathoz, "if my 'pharaoh' wishes to maintain you alive Seth... I must oblige." He turned his back to the two of them and quickly turned around striking them with a flaming lasso that seemed to appear out of nowhere. "I spare you only because of his request," said Amathoz sternly, "that pain better be excruciating because I am not letting this off without punishment for both of you!" He then laughed very strangely, somehow it seemed like the cross of laughing and hissing like a snake. "Leave," he said a little lower, "I must attend to something private; before you go is there anything else you have to say or any other message from the pharaoh?" He looked at them and for the first time opened his third eye in order to force them to stay and tell him anything, the eye was glowing strangely and resembled a snake's eye but immense evil was eminating from that single eye.

[OOC: Time Psyduck, everything after what Yuzaki said is description so anything he said could still have a response from Suzume if you want to. And to Ranma and Lugia, right now what you two could do is sort of return where your characters come from, their houses, and have them think about what happened, go back after their original missions once more, etc. Or answer to Amathoz and start a new conversation with him or anything, these are just suggestions.]

Seth tried to avert his gaze from the third eye, regardless of what the command was, however it didn't work. THe pain was indeed excruciating, and he soon realised the pain was much more unbearable than it used to be. There was no doubt - when he was given an immortal life, his sense of pain had been dulled severely, but now...
"M-Master Amathoz...I apologise completely and wholly for my actions. I was...I don't know. I was just uncontrollable then." It seemed he did not want to bring up his other intention of trying to kill Suzume with the penkife that was in his pocket, something which could have happened had he not fallen temporarily unconscious. "However...I have a major concern; I fear I might have lost my immortality from that challenge." He looked at Drew, then back at Amathoz, and shook his head to break loose from the eye's control. "I...shouldn't bother you with such trivial matters. I should go as you wish..." He began to walk backwardds towards the entrance, but something seemed off. In his mind, Seth had no intention of 'leaving', per se.

Drew fell to his knees as the pain struck him. After Drew recovered he managed to get back up. He looked into Amathozs third eye as he opened it up. Drew stared into the eye for a while. Suddenly Seth told Amathoz that he had lost his immortality. After a while Drew managed to move his eyes and head away from the third snake like eye. Drew turned around and made his way out of the temple. Drew was walking down the streets and thought to himself whilst he took out the card Slifer the Sky Dragon. He looked at the card. " If im gonna defeat Yuzaki then this cards gonna be a big help. I better make sure that it flows with the rest of my dragons." Drew walked into an old seemingly abandone hut. He went and sat down on the bed. He began to edit his deck and after a while he was fiinished. Drew walked out of the hut and began to walk down the street. As he did he thought to himself. " Now that I've built this new I can defeat Yuzaki."
Track heard someone calling him. He jumped up from where he was sitting and held his duel disk in front of him. "Who are you and what do you what."

"I can hear you," Suzume replied. "This is a good idea just for motorcycling in general. The only thing I don't understand is why you made all this stuff to play a card game, I mean you already have the duel disks, isn't that enough?"

"That's him," Dark Valkyria warned as Escher appeared, offering a package to Track. So what is in that package? Any normal delivery would be left at the reception - or not even delivered here, since they should not know he is here. So whatever it is, it is almost certainly dangerous. The question is, what kind of danger? Something toxic, an explosive device, or some sort of magic?

Track saw the man coming. The duel spirit then said that that was the man who was trying to come after him. He didn't know exactly what to do so he decided to ask for the assistance of the duel spirit. "What shall I do now. He's getting closer. I hope you know what to do." Track looked at the man. "If this package is so important why didn't you just leave it at the front desk. Anyway how did you know I was here."
Drew didn't know what to do. He was confused. He didn't get the chance to complete his mission to defeat Lucas. He began to think. He saw that there was a boy who had a pendant around his neck which was the same one Seth tried to give to Suzume. He went up to the boy knowing that he must be a part of the prophecy. Or maybe a hidden secret servant of Amathoz. He went up to him to block his path. "Hey there." Drew wanted to test the power of his new deck, however he did not want to reveal to many of his new strategies. "Mind if me and you have a friendly duel. You know. Just for fun." Drew put on a fake smile to try and make it seem as though he was a friendly and kind person.

"I was given specific orders to deliver this personally. And you know, the middleman would just screw it up." Escher strode ever closer. "As for how I knew you were here, I saw you running away from Master Yuzaki's school, and that he told you to hide. Where would the only logical place for him to deem a hiding place? His company, of course. It was the only building that made sense for you to hide along the path you ran." Now standing right in front of Track, Escher proffered the package. "I was told to deliver this to you. I was also told to have you deliver it to Master Yuzaki. Why I wasn't just told to deliver it directly to Yuzaki is a question for the eons. I am not at liberty to disclose its exact contents. However, I can tell you this: It is made of gold, and is not an explosive device. If it were fitted with an explosive, it would not mass correctly. Your invisible friend there can check, if it wishes. Additionally, I was told not to engage, so I have no intention of harming you at the moment."

So perhaps not an explosive, Dark Valkyria mused, but that still doesn't rule out magic or toxins, and since this person is carrying around the package, there is probably little risk as long as it remains within that packaging. "You can take it," she told Track, "but do not open it or do anything to it until Yuzaki Kinjo arrives. I would presume he would be able to identify any dangers from the contents." So why was he told to deliver it to this child, and not Yuzaki Kinjo. It seems they found this child because he had contact with Kinjo - and we are in his building - so he is not unreachable, and since the person delivering it may well have been seen this morning hiding their face is redundant. There has to be a deeper motive. She looked to Echer, who it seemed couldn't see her but had nonetheless identified her presence. "Who sent you here, and what business do they have with Yuzaki Kinjo?" she asked, figuring Track would be smart enough to ask the question himself if the man couldn't hear her.

Kai was all too happy to turn down a duel, having regained control over himself. He looked at the stranger and considered for a moment. "Well...I guess there's no sense in me going back to work now, and I didn't have much to do anyway. Okay, then. Let's duel, mate!" He raised his disk'd arm and activated it.
