lugia61617
Kai seized up. Surely Yuzaki Kinjo couldn't also be a reincarnation? He swung around to view his new 'friend' and gave a serious look. Doragon materialised next to him, looking just as serious. They were able to see spirits, but it wasn't exactly uncommon nowadays. "...I don't know what you mean about a prophecy," began Kai, "but...I hope you believe me on this...I was apparently once a servant of the pharaoh. Doragon and the others showed me my past lives in a dream some time ago." He tried not to give away that he knew more than he was letting on, though saying you'd been forced to betray the pharaoh would make him seem quite antagonistic. He then had a thought. "If you don't believe me, look inside that Wooden Sarcophagus over there. There's a pin with my name from back then, Khai." Doragon nodded and flew towards the sarcophagus. He wasn't able to move the item, though he could easily demonstrate it was there.
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki nodded his head grimly and replied with a very stern tone. "I don't doubt you," said Yuzaki, "nor do I expect you to easily understand this but it's better to tell you the complete truth... See the mummy of Tutankhamen? That's me... Or was me" He slowly made his way to the complete prophecy, he skimmed through the parts he had already read out loud and read the parts of the prophecy which were not yet revealed. "Seven keys maintain the ropes bound but the servant of the darkness will unbinding them all; manipulating the feelings and forcefully taking these keys from the knights and pharaoh." Yuzaki instinctively reached for his necklace and at the same time, the sleeve rolled back to show the bracelet, then he continued. "For the salvation of the world, a grave sacrifice must be made." As he finished he looked around, it had been revealed that there were some type of keys for each chosen one. Then he thought of Kai's pin and thought that it could be one of the keys as well. "That's the prophecy," said Yuzaki towards Kai and everyone else, "stopping the apocalypse. We have to find these keys and protect them... Or destroy them so they cannot be used to perform the unbinding of Apophis." Then he moved towards Kai and talked directly at him while Doragon pointed out the sarcophagus with the pin. "So Kai," said Yuzaki as his eyes slowly morfed into the Horus eyes "that's my truth... But I get the feeling you are not sharing completely. Who are you, really?" The air became tense, Yuzaki wasn't completely sure of what was happening although he wasn't even sure if he was the one who was actually talking. The eyes revealed a dark aura inside of Kai which seemed to hide deep inside of him, but something caused Yuzaki to discover it. [OOC: You can try and ignore it by some way if you want to or like we planned in the PM. Also if you want, I didn't say how Yuzaki found out so Doragon could have communicated his doubt of Kai telepathically, or first to Dux and then Yuzaki. However it's better for you. Interrupt anywhere if necessary and if you want to attack Yuzaki when Kai's dark side eventually, not necessarily now, emerges you can do so ]

lugia61617
((OOC: Sorry for the delay!)) Kai felt like he could trust this boy, but part of him was screaming out to attack him - the darker half which was watching from a back seat in his mind. But for a moment, it seemed someone else was there...another voice in his mind was trying to reassure him of Yuzaki's identity as Pharaoh, even though no doubt existed in his mind about that. As he tried speaking, his voice warped slightly - some would think his voice was breaking again, though it was in fact two minds speaking at once, though his dalk half was speakign irregularly. "We-Well I don't know quite what you mean, Pha---Yuzaki. I've said all there really is." You're not going to tell him the truth? THe truth about being conditioned to attack him in the past? Doragon questioned Kai telepathically. Kai shook his head. But at that point, he cringed slightly as a voice echoed in the minds of his spirits and himself; "If you're going to be like that, maybe I should show him the truth!" He opened his suddenly-shut eyes, which were now lifeless. He twisted his smile and laughed slightly. "heh, I'm taking control again, twinkle-toes." He muttered, looking backwards, as if to an invisible being. Doragon tried to enter Kai's body, however a dark barrier struck him and caused him to be forced backward. Doragon felt there was no choice - he could see what Kai was about to do; kill Yuzaki with his Duel Disk as a weapon! "Mr Kinjo-sama!" Doragon called out, noticing he was dissolving slightly due to the loss of energy, "There is something we hadn't been telling you! kai has always been turned evil in his lives - and now he wants to kill you!" As Kai rose his duel disk and prepared to strike, Doragon flew in front of Yuzaki and held on to the Duel Disk, his whole body glowing as he made contact with the disk. He was channelling all of his energy to give himself some physical presence, enough to stop the attack. Kai screamed slightly as he was thrown into a wall from the rebounding energy, and Doragon panted as he began to dissolve. He looked at Yuzaki and smiled. "Heh, guess I won't be around anymore...I think you might be able to save him though, Mr. Kinjo..." He said as his dissolution carried on to his chest. "Dark Kai saps away our spirit energy to turn us Dark, but without our Dark counterparts we'll just disappear. My energy's spent, so I'll disappear for good...any cards of me won't contain my spirit anymore." Dark Kai prepared himself to attack Yuzaki again, his conditioned mind ready to do whatever necessary to do so. As he lunged, he collapsed, his hands clasping his head. His voice warped again as the normal Kai cried out; "Stop it! Please! No more--" "Quiet you! You should have ceased to exist the moment I was born!" "You don't have to--" "I must do what the masters wanted; to kill the pharaoh and end his tyranny!" "ARGH!" Kai was now screeching in pain as both minds fought for control - something which made his body appear like he was having a seizure. It was a good thing few people were in the museum. As he fell silent, his body grew still for a minute before getting up. Doragon, now only a floating head, looked and hoped to see his old master in control. He was sorely mistaken. "...I..." Kai panted heavily, only able to speak a few words, "...I...won...This body...is mine!" He laughed and glared at his enemy across the room. Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki saw as the darker half took over and Doragon sacrificed himself to stop Dark Kai from killing him. Doragon was slowly disappearing and Yuzaki shook his head. "No," he said reaching out to the fading spirit with the arm that had the ancient bracelet which started glowing, "you are Kai's spirit... I'm not letting you get out of this that easily." A flash of bright light emerged from the bracelet and dimmed down; nothing happened, or so it seemed. Then Yuzaki looked at Dark Kai; the light inside of him was slowly fading, it was getting late to save him. "So this is your hidden personality," said Yuzaki moving towards the trigger happy Kai, "underwhelming at most. Wanting to kill the pharaoh, me? Seems doubtful for the other you... I wonder... Concentrating on a good memory to balance out the darkness.... That's what mom told me." He looked at the bracelet which remained glowing brightly and now the necklace also started to glow. His glowing eyes met the darkness and flashed for a moment. "You think you are a tough guy," said Yuzaki, his voice seemed strange now as if there were two voices instead of one, then he raised his arm, "darkness will not stay in this realm... Dark one, begone!" Something resembling a sonic blast emerged from his extended arm and once it hit Kai a type of black dust vapor came out of his sides. [OOC: Don't worry For Doragon I didn't say anything else because I'm not sure if you want him to be saved; for now he may either be completely revived by the bracelet or saved from completely dissapearing and may return later in the final battles, your choice. Also interrupt where you want to and I left the ending open so you decide what happens next. Then I'll put the part of Amathoz and everything else.]
lugia61617
Dark Kai tried to resist the force, but this was something he'd never known in any of his lives up until his awkening in this one. He cursed loudly in egyptian, mentioning a name before he was banished from the body; Bes. Evidently this was just a memory surfacing from his original awakening and posession of Kai's body, but there was definately something unsettling about him having said a name for apparently no reason. Eventually Dark Kai felt his soul collapse under the force of the bracelet's power and he "flowed" out of Kai's body in the form of the black dust, which evaporated within seconds. Kai seemed blank for a moment, but the light sie of him was clearly returning to full strength. However, when he collapsed in front of Yuzaki, it could have been sworn at for a moment that he gave off a different aura - not a dark one, but one of someone who's now agnostic at best. To anyone that had been watching, it would seem Kai had suffered temporary madness and Yuzaki had brought him back to his senses, though it could only be hoped that nobody would call the police over the attack. Doragon was shocked to say the least. He'd never expected for that to happen, but it seemed too late. He completely dissolved as soon as Kai collapsed. However, it seemed it was not the end. He opened his eyes to find himself in a dream-like realm of endless shades of blue, himself "sitting" (despite his lack of legs and feet) on the nonexistant ground. When he spoke, every word echoed in the infinite blue space around him. "Where...where am I? Is this what lies for dead spirits?" "Aheheh, Doragon, don't be such a defeatist!" A female voice echoed. Doragon rose to his 'feet' as he recognised it; Martoir materialised, followed by the other two main spirits. "It's nowhere near our time to die! Especially you, the master's favourite." "Yeah, Doragon, we can't let you break our unity!" the Bandit cheered out in agreement with Level Manipulator's pep talk. Doragon let a tear fall from his eye before smiling. "Guys...you mean...we won't disappear?" "Of course not! Remember our vows? We'll upgrade ourselves to be better than before, and we'll never abandon the master!" Martoir raised her arm and the others did the same, placing their hands on top of each other. Doragon joined in, and they were all enveloped in a light before Doragon's consciousness faded. Meanwhile, in the real world, Kai's deck glowed, and the Deck box shifted slightly as if it was heavier by a tiny amount.
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki noticed what seemed to be another presence but he didn't see it as a dark one so he put it off thinking it was maybe one of Kai's spirits. He noticed Doragon disappeared but he was confident it didn't mean Doragon had died. Slowly, Yuzaki walked towards Kai and extended his hand in order to help him up. "Welcome back," said Yuzaki as he helped Kai to his feet, "quite another side you have there... Though I think that's the last of him." As Yuzaki pronounced these last words he smiled slightly, he didn't have any idea of how wrong he really was. Yuzaki looked around at some of the bystanders and sighed, the acting game wouldn't fool twice but he noticed they kept on going as if nothing happened, as if Yuzaki's eyes never turned like a moon and sun, and as if dark dust never flowed out of Kai's body. "Humans that are not connected to the prophecy or do not have special minds cannot witness what happened," said Dux as he appeared and explained, "they replace the actual images with everyday ones... What they saw was Lai having a glucose imbalance after you took his photo next to a sarcophagus." Yuzaki looked at Dux and shook his head. "Seriously," he said amazed at what the people had changed, "a fight and magic powers and they thought it was a glucose imbalance because of a photo? Wow, that's new." He then noticed that every normal bystander had left, the museum did not have many visitors today apparently. Yuzaki fixed something on his dueldisk and nodded, he then proceeded to do the same with every other of his friends' dueldisks. "Okay," he said finishing the slight modification, "I removed the safety setting on the dueldisks, now when you guys duel against the goons you will have dangerous holograms... Unfortunately this is necessary." He then proceeded to activate an EM pulse from his own dueldisk which knocked off the cameras but maintained the screens in the guard office exactly like the last video the cameras recorded so the security guards did not notice any difference. "Okay Kai," said Yuzaki sure of himself, "you can take the pin now... Cameras are offline and security is none the wiser so you can do that, I have a feeling that the pin might be one of the keys... And what about you guys? Have any ideas where your keys are?" Amathoz chuckled softly as he saw the dark half of Kai in the Duat. "He's finally here," said Amathoz as he pulled the spirit out and gave him a humanoid form, "I have saved you from damnation, you hold a grudge against the pharaoh... Now, you are my servant and you will help I, Amathoz, bring the pharaoh to the fangs of death's ultimate fear, Apophis." Amathoz raised his hand and from the circle emerged a deck of Yugioh! Trading cards, but these had an unusually dark aura around them as they hovered towards Dark Kai. "I trust you'll need these to carry out your task," said Amathoz sternly, "now speak your mind. Once you finish, you may carry out your task, eliminate the knights of the prophecy." Amathoz basically implanted a psychological PDF file into Dark Kai's 'mind' explaining everything about the prophecy, knights, etc.
Time Psyduck
"Ye don't mess about, do ye laddie?" Don noted as the safety settings were disabled from his duel disk. "Seems a shame ye have to do this, but ah guess there's no reasonin' with some people. Now, where's that key thing. Any ideas, lassie?" he asked his duel spirit. "Over here," Dark Valkyria replied, leading him to another nearby sarcophagus, not quite to the standard to the young Pharaoh's, but certainly not an unimpressive item. Don looked at the display, which was on the subject of an Egyptian general. Menes, his name was. Apparently, on top of military skill he seemed to be renowned for having the equivalent of eyes in the back of his head. "So, why would ye think that this'd have somethin' with me? Unless, o' course, ye think this mah past life." "He was," she replied, "one of them, at least." "So why dinna ah have some power like 'is?" the duelist mentioned, "unless he didn' have any power as such, other than a guardian duel spirit." He turned to look at the duel spirit. "Even back then, ye had mah back, huh? Thanks, lassie. Now, let's see about openin' this cabinet."
lugia61617
Dark Kai seemed baffled to have suddenly foudn himself in a new body, though he wasn't complaining in the slightest - he was going to have ended up like this in Kai's body anyway had the blasted pharaoh not intervened. He smiled at Amathoz, but did not bow to him like most servants usually would - he refused to take orders from anyone, since his hatred for the pharaoh and desire to kill him was the result of brainwashing, and he effectively only followed his own desires. As such, he determined if he did as Amathoz "suggested", he would achieve his goal. THe key difference, though, was that Kai wanted to be the one to kill the pharaoh. He reached out and took the cards, then placed them in a purple and black duel disk he created from shadows - evidently something Amathoz had given him the ability to do, at least while in his presence. "Well, first I want to thank you, Amathoz, for giving me a body of my own. Second, I think I know exactly who I want to take out, though I'm not sure I'll last if my original body dies - I'm not certain the connection between us has been completely broken. Second..." he took out the Deck and looked at it, giving a slight chuckle under his breath. "I'm wondering if you know anything about a third wheel in my old body - a third mind." He put the Deck back in and looked up at Amathoz. Both versions of Kai had sensed another mind, but Dark Kai had managed to hear its name before being expelled from his body; "Bes." He said sharply. Kai seemed confused. "Saftey removal? Dangerous holograms? Our world is becoming more like the anime the further this thing develops...Anyway, right, the pin!" He rushed to the sarcophagus and took the pin out from it. He blew some ancient dust off it before examining the object; there, in plain Heiroglypics, was his name; Khai. He also noticed the words below in smaller heiroglyphs; Head Servant of the Pharaohs. He felt an odd, tingly sensation in his heart, causing him to subconsciously pin the object to his shirt, before realising what he'd done and how obvious it would be and uickly squirreled it into his laptop bag. "Keys, eh? What's that about, and what are they for?" he asked. At this point Doragon's absence came to his attention - more to the point all the spirits seemed to be missing, being completely undetectable. However, his attention was returned when Yuzaki answered.
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki remained stern as Don said what he basically thought, there was no reasoning with some people, and nodded. Then he chuckled a bit as Kai said that it seemed more like the anime. "Unfortunately it could be considered a bit worse," said Yuzaki, "the hologram's laser projection system has been increased to the point that, like any potent laser, they can cut through solid objects... And overexposure could cause skin or eye cancer; but it only affects those at the opposite end of the projection so don't worry about that part. Anyways they'll solidify in the Duat Challenges so I'm just giving you an extra advantage." When Yuzaki heard of the keys his expression changed drastically, his face darkened as the thoughts slowly sank into his mind. "Apophis is basically the apocalypse personified," said Yuzaki grimly, "he is bound by seven seals/ropes which can only be unbound by seven keys which belong to the knights of the prophecy. We need to find them because the time for the unbinding is supposed to be at the Solar Eclipse, tomorrow. Not sure if we can destroy them but that would probably be the best option right now." Then Yuzaki approached the sarcophagus that contained Tutankhamen, his past life. The glass display case disappeared mysteriously after the bright flash so he proceeded to remove the top of the dense, large and golden sarcophagus. He gasped a bit once he saw the mummified corpse which was supposed to be him. "Ugh," he remarked and slowly turned his head, "seeing yourself dead isn't nice; well I did see myself dead during my out of body experience but this is different." His hand slowly streched out to touch the bandages and once he did, his mind went blank for a millisecond and memories started to return to his mind. Lucas was baffled by everything that occurred but he maintained his cool. "Okay," said Lucas running from display to display looking for the key, "something from my past life... What could I- wait a minute... This is the Chinese section of the museum, my bad." Then he returned to the Tutankhamen exhibition and noticed that almost next to where Yuzaki stood was something that called out to him. As he walked towards it he read an ancient Egyptian text that stated that the feather pendant belonged to a family member of the pharaoh, possibly a brother or cousin. Lucas slowly picked it up from it's shattered display case and turned it in his hand. "Cool," he said though apparently unimpressed, "a feather... Made of gold... This is what called me so I'm assuming it's the key." He pocketed the feather and just before he completely did so, it gave a small flash which meant it could really be connected to the prophecy. "So," said Lucas in a playful tone, "how can we break these things bro?" "I have no idea," replied Yuzaki doubtful, "let's just see how it plays out..." Amathoz looked at DKai with his piercing red eyes. "Your connection with the other body has been severed," said Amathoz coldly, "You would do well to remember who brought you and who can return you easily and painlessly, but not for you. As for another mind..." He cursed quietly in ancient Egyptian and turned to the corpse which remained hanging at the exit of the temple. "That traitor received his punishment," said Amathoz sternly, "however, his soul managed to latch on to the body that possessed the pendant he had, your old body. That is also one I want eliminated completely." The snakes appeared at the foot of his robes once more as he made his way to his 'throne.' "Leave," said Amathoz though he waited a bit for any response from DKai, "do not think of your second chance at life as something permanent should you fail." lugia61617
Amathoz's words certainly shook Kai, however he refused to bend to his will entirely. So, the third mind was that of someone else who had worked for this creep at some point? Evidently he'd discovered something he shouldn't have. Regardless, for now, Kai's aims were the same as Amathoz's, to an extent, so he decided to feign loyalty. The brief time he was in the Duat had served well as a taste-run of what afterlife was like there, and he didn't mind it too much, being a sadist. Going back was hardly a threat - going back before killing the original, however, was. "...Fine, 'my lord', I'll be sure to seek out the knights...although they are most definately all located in the vicinity of the museum considering my last awakening and attack." He turned and left the temple, irritated with his new master's attitude. Sure, he was able to bring him back to life and give him a new body, but to Kai it was hardly something worthy of giving Amathoz leadership over him. In the museum, Kai nodded, though he felt there was surely something illogical about destroying the keys to the living apocalypse. Although he didn't share his views, he felt that this could end up like an anime of sorts, where destroying keys would in fact start the apocalypse instead of needing the keys to be used in a lock...Though by the time he got to that part, he dismissed it as a mere figment of his over-imaginative brain. He watched as other members of the group gathered what were supposedly their keys. "So, I guess I'm part of the group now?" He assumed half-cheerfully. He should probably have the whole day off for his 'research', and it shouldn't matter too much anyway considering his relations in high pla-- "Wait, what?" He asked himself. What was he saying in his mind? 'relations in high places'? Kai had no high-placed relationships besides Kazuki Takahashi, but somehow he began learning details of hundreds of thousands of people dating back thousands of years. As he started remembering, the mind which had been dormant felt a need to share control. This mind didn't seem to trust Yuzaki, but felt this was the right thing to do. Kai realised this mind shift didn't hurt like the other one - why should it? This mind wasn't seizing control, it was asking for it. "Uhm...Yu-Yuzaki..." He said, putting his hand on his head as he felt dizzy. "I...I need to talk to you." He didn't sound like Kai completely, but his voice wasn't Seths either. It was a third voice, as if the two people had combined into one mind temporarily.
Time Psyduck
Don looked through the artefacts on display, although other than being old and presumably belonging to him in a past life, there didn't seem to be anything special about them. A few larger items weren't present, being substituted with photographs of the items in situ. That just left the sarcophagus itself. "It would be inside that," he sighed, reaching out to examine the coffin. The moment he touched it, however, there was a flash of light, and Don found himself in what seemed to be a temperate desert, facing someone looking very similar to him, other than having the racial characteristics of ancient Egyptians, and being dressed in a matching outfit. "So," the figure spoke, "we meet, current myself. I am Menes, general to the Pharaohs of Egypt. I am not truly present; I am merely a memory from this life, left for the sake of the future form of myself that will become involved with the prophecy regarding the Pharaoh Tutankhamen. That you are hearing this likely means the events are now close at hand. "I trust our spirit partner will have located you by now-" an image of the Dunames Dark Witch appeared beside Menes "-and she will hopefully be able to supply further information. However, the matter of importance. You are likely searching for a key, or will have to do so at some point. You will require this." He removed an ornate dagger from his belt and handed it over to Don. "There is more you should be aware of. When this event is over, another message has been provided as a failsafe, should the memory of our partner have been corrupted." Another flash, and Don was back in the museum. No time seemed to have passed for the others.
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki slowly had his memories return and he was back in the room of judgement. "Am I dead again," he said as his words echoed in the emptiness, "Osiris, Anubis, Horus, anyone?" Nobody answered, the room was empty but slowly a figure materialized from the shadows and Yuzaki took a few steps back, last time he checked if something materialized from the shadows it wasn't good. A boy of around the same age as Yuzaki, maybe a little more, walked up to him covered in royal garments and the crown of both upper and lower Egypt. "Tutankhamen," said Yuzaki in a low voice as he realized who this was, "me..." Tutankhamen slowly nodded as he began to speak up. "You are correct," said Tutankhamen, "most likely you have lost the memories from my reign and are now seeking them due to the rise of Apophis." Yuzaki nodded but could not still shake the fact that he was talking to himself from a past life, was that even possible. "I am only part of your memory; however, there is still some part of my own conscious involved in order to provide assistance when you need it most," said Tutankhamen answering Yuzaki's unasked question, "the keys cannot be destroyed; moreover, anyone that would try that would be banished to the Duat a d fed directly to Apophis. I cannot say much more... My memories are now yours once more... They contain the secret to destroying Apophis once and for all; the knights also have some pieces of the memories inside of them as the memories were shattered and spread to six other knights in order to be kept safe from Amathoz who was also looking for them." Slowly Tutankhamen dissolved once more and seemed to fuse with Yuzaki; then he was back at the museum. No time had passed but apparently Don seemed to have a similar experience since he gave off the same vibe as Yuzaki. Yuzaki seemed different though; the union of both his lives gave him a subtle change in his appearance, his eyes seemed more Egyptian, more marked, and his expression also seemed to acquire a subtle change. He then turned towards Kai who had something weird going on inside of him and he rushed towards him. "What's wrong," said Yuzaki, "what's happening to you?" lugia61617
Kai was shaking a little violently, however the voice was calming - though there was evidently some hostility in it. He also didn't seem to want to answer any questions on Yuzaki's part, skipping straight to what he wanted to say. "First of all, don't think I'm a friend of yours." The new personality said, sounding concerned that Yuzaki might actually befriend him, "Even if Amathoz mislead me, I still wanted you out of the Palace for good back in Egypt. So don't go around thinking I'm doing this for your benefit - I was glad when you died, and it doesn't matter to me if you die again or not - I just don't want to die again." He puted slightly as he said "die again", feeling resentment to losing his immortality. He wasn't even sure why he was doing this - it's possible that he was feeling guilty for going against the pharaoh again over a lie by Amathoz, or maybe Kai's personality was influencing him since their minds were almost synced. Kazekage dragon
The new Yuzaki/Tutankhamen "fusion," Pharaoh-Yuzaki, was pretty different than normal Yuzaki, sort of like what was happening to Kai, the form of expressing himself was more formal and he was very stern when it came to talking with anyone that could be considered an enemy. He was not exactly overjoyed by the way Kai was talking to him, or rather how the other personality in Kai was talking to him. Though he could feel that this other personality was not the same one from before; he started to slowly perceive the personality of someone he met before. "I don't really care if you wanted me dead or not," said Pharaoh-Yuzaki with a stern tone in his voice directing himself to the other personality and not Kai himself, "and I don't care if you die as well, the feeling could be considered mutual. Now, tell me what it is you want to inform me or I will be forced to banish you like the other personality... Seth; I thought I felt a third presence and the other one pronounced your surname so it wasn't hard to decipher." Suddenly, Yuzaki grasped his head trying to get back in control. Listen Tut, he said annoyed that his memories started to affect his personality once more, I don't know how you did things but in my time we are more flexible. Then he calmed down but still had access to all of his memories. "I am sorry," said Pharaoh-Yuzaki with more influence from normal Yuzaki, "you are not well. You have lost people close to you, been betrayed and deceived and have come to blame myself for all of this; you and I are not so different, I have felt all of that as well. Now I tell you, I returned to right all of the wrongs that have occurred because of my actions. What can you offer that will assist me in that task?" He then turned and looked at everyone behind him, for a moment they seemed to change into their ancient lives. Lucas a high priest or something of the sort, Don a general, Track a little kid and Suzume a queen. It played on Yuzaki's mind but those were apparently the memories that were slowly filtering in as Tutankhamen's presence became more evident. He tried to signal them with his eyes that he was not completely himself, though in some sense you could say he was completely himself since his two lives had finally merged. Time Psyduck
Suzume's previous incarnation didn't seem to be present - a few artefacts and a display board about the Pharaoh's wife was pretty much all there was, even if she had been one of the other sisters. However, she was pretty sure of which sister she had been. Yuzaki, however, seemed to have changed quite a bit. Whatever Egyptian heritage he had seemed to become more manifest, and he seemed much more formal, somehow more regal. He had gone over to Kai, sensing something was wrong with the boy. "What about you, Yuzaki?" she asked, "are you alright." Don was quiet, reflecting on what seemed to be a message from himself, as well as the dagger which he could only presume he'd removed from the sarcophagus whilst not aware of reality thanks to the vision. There was something else though, related to his duel spirit, who dropped in alongside him. "There's more isn' there?" he questioned, "ye know more than ye'r tellin', lassie." "I do, but it is not relevant to the situation at hand. It is not connected to the Pharaoh Tutankhamen, and thus is not a priority." "Fine then, Ah'll lae it ta rest fer now." Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki nodded slowly and only said that he was feeling a bit confused. "I kind of talked to Tutankhamen," he said, now it was normal Yuzaki who was manifesting, "right now we're sharing the same head though I'm pretty sure it will only last a little bit until our two personalities lock in.-It is correct Ankhsenamun; it will only last for a short period of time. Though I must say the years have been kind to you; you are still as beautiful as I remember, though your hair has taken a golden shade... However, it complements you and is very appealing.- What? Hey Tut don't interrupt me like that! It's confusing. Don't mind him Suzume he's probably just confusing you with someone from his life and imagining things." You are not imagining things, thought Tutankhamen's personality to Yuzaki, neither am I, unless... You haven't told her yet. Yuzaki flinched a bit as he heard the thought of Tutankhamen. I may provide some assistance if you require it, thought Tutankhamen, after all, you are me. She has feelings for you still, I could sense them. Do not worry, I will make her fall for you. "Shut up!" yelled Yuzaki and chuckled embarrassed as he noticed he thought out loud, "my bad, sorry. Having another person inside of me is not easy." Then he whispered to himself, turning his head so no one would hear him. "Please Tut, more important things right now... Kai.-Correct, we will talk about that later- I hope not..." he then turned back into the fused personality Pharaoh-Yuzaki and looked at Kai/Seth, "now... Tell me what it is you must tell me or, as I stated before, I will be forced to banish you to the Duat." Amathoz was in the temple; slowly walking towards the balcony in order to view the city. It was all burst in flames, the sky had a red/orange glow to it as if the flames had become the sky itself. Then, it returned to normal, the buildings were intact, mostly, and there were no flames or monsters... yet. Return to the temple, transmitted Amathoz to the others besides Dark Kai, the attack begins but first your targets. Amathoz gave a small chuckle as he opened all three of his red eyes and visualized the museum. The pharaoh has finally become whole once more I see, thought Amathoz as he saw the dual personality Pharaoh-Yuzaki, perfect... Now master Apophis will have a meal fit for a pharaoh; the pharaoh himself!
Wave_Sine
Escher noted the psychic message, and looked around at his handiwork. The square was clear of people, or mobile people at least. He had stabilized those who were too injured to move on their own, and then laid them out in an intricate pattern. His current mission now apparently complete, Escher checked his belongings, though paused on the card he had been given before quickly moving on. He was now back at about a third of what his true power was, though that was a trump card to reserve for later. For now, he would continue his ploy of "loyal minion of evil", and return to the temple. Escher drew his swords again, then dashed out of the city square, holding each sword at arms length. He dashed though the crowd, blades slashing those who didn't move quickly enough, then re-sheathed his swords as he "stepped" on his way to the temple. Kazekage dragon
Amathoz tensed a heard someone enter the temple; Escher had returned as Amathoz had requested. "Escher loyal as always," said Amathoz with a different type of tone almost happy, "the objective is simple. Take down one of the knights, they are currently grouped at the town's museum. Choose someone... That could pose a potential threat, but leave the pharaoh to Drew. He is anxious to settle a childish dispute; though it will ultimately lead to his death. Now, are their any inquiries?" As Amathoz pronounced the final sentences, his voice seemed to darken more and more, slowly returning to the frightening personality that characterized Amathoz. This one is different from the others, he thought, however he has proven a loyal servant and could be useful in the near future. [OOC: This post is short because I am still waiting for others to answer my previous posts and I did not have much to go on from Escher so I just made it as long as I could without forcing Escher to do anything. Also I'm back from the hospital so that's why I'm going to be posting more frequently.]
Wave_Sine
"No questions, my lord." Escher stated as he bowed in an overly-theatrical manner yet again. With that, he turned and left the inner sanctum of the temple, deciding which Knight he would challenge. The reincarnation of the Pharaoh's mightiest general would be the best place to start if he wished to weaken the group. A man with military knowledge would be troublesome to have around, although he would not make an easy opponent by any means. As Escher drew closer to the museum, he exchanged the Main Deck from his Disc with the Deck in his bag. He avoided touching the card he had been given as much as possible in the process. Escher's last opponent, the interesting man, had experienced a new perspective in the terrors of 4-Space; the next opponent would be 'cut down to size' in the vast blankness of 2-Space. With his cards and Disc in order, Escher entered the museum, searching for the group of Knights. [EDIT/OOC: The time between Escher leaving the square in his last post, and arriving at the museum in this post is probably at least half an hour. So, if the museum people still have plot to get through before they should notice Escher, he won't actually arrive until that's finished. Didn't want to feel like I was hurrying things.]
lugia61617
Seth-Kai looked away briefly before looking back. He had been gazing at the tablet he had read the previous night which unveiled the truth to him. "Alright, Pharaoh, I'm only going to say this once, so if you don't listen up I'm not repeating myself!" He waited to see if the Pharaoh would respond in any way, but it seems his no-nonsense attitude wasn't going to make him give an early response. Breathing heavily, he finally let go of the information. "The being you're fighting at this time is Amathoz, a priest from our time in Egypt. He tricks others into trusting him by feeding lies, deceit and twisting their envisionment of their minds, as well as making them overlook the whole 'end of the world' part of his plan. When you do come to fight him, I severely doubt it will be with swords or decks..." He closed his eyes, re-living his battle against Amathoz, "...it'll be a genuine duat challenge." Seth found himself becoming unstable as he remembered the horrifying moments before his untimely death against his foe, whom he accidenally named. "Shadow of Apep..." he muttered before disappearing back into the niches in Kai's mind, restoring control. Kai seemed extremely surprised. "Wh...Whoa..." Was all he could muster after hearing that. Kazekage dragon
Pharaoh-Yuzaki listened to what the other one inside Kai said. "I have fought him already," he said since both of the lives had already fought him directly except for the fact that Yuzaki fought an astral-projection, "he was my father's priest and my own until he betrayed us; I know of his conniving ways. Shadow of Apep?" He could not recieve an answer to the last statement since Kai regained control once again and was speechless to what had occurred. "Apep..." said Pharaoh-Yuzaki, both voices seemed to echo one another, "Apep-Apophis... No, Apep is a smaller version. Apophis is the complete one." Slowly he came through and both minds started to settle in; the echoing voices became one but he maintained the marked egyptian style eyes, symbolizing that he was whole. Yuzaki did not have an the evident split-personality of Tutankhamen anymore, but it was still there. He clutched his fists as he took a deep breath and calmed down. "Finally,' he said slowly, "back together I guess... So this is how it feels to have your soul complete... Interesting; now we have most of the keys I think. Kai you have the pin, I have the bracelet and crucifix or ankh, Suzume you have the necklace somewhere and I'm pretty sure that's one of them, and, Don did you find something I thought I saw you had something but I'm not sure; I wasn't exactly myself you know." "I'm here too ya' know!" yelled Lucas annoyed by the fact that Yuzaki skipped him, though he was still frazzled with had just happened and Yuzaki's past life coming back in a separate personality. He thought it would be like the series but it turned out that the pharaoh personality didn't stay long. He took out the golden feather and held it up triumphantly. "Doesn't look like a key," he said doubtfully, "but I guess the keys we need to find are not actually keys are they? They function as keys but don't have a key form." Yuzaki nodded as he heard what Lucas said and then Lucas laughed a bit. "Key," he said to himself quietly while stifling his laughter, "I said it like five times already; key, key, key." Then he straightened up and looked back at Yuzaki. "So what are we supposed to do once we find them all?"
Time Psyduck
Suzume withdrew into herself for a moment. Did an ancient monarch just complement my appearance? She questioned. Unless it was Yuzaki...no, Yuzaki knows what colour my hair is. Her attention returned to the now mostly single-mined Yuzaki as he began to discuss the keys. "Oh I should have known there was some ulterior motive in giving this to me," she replied, drawing out the necklace. "I guess I'll need it on then." Don turned back to the boy. "Ah did end up givin' mahself this, ah think," he replied, holding up a knife. It was certainly ornate, but it was clear this was not a mere decoration, instead having a blade honed for combat. Tha' board says it was inside the sarcophagus, at least." Dark Valkyria decided to leave Don to the whole 'knights of the Pharaoh' thing, and drifted off though the museum. Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki looked at Suzume as she pulled out the necklace and spoke about an ulterior motive. "It belongs to you Suzume," he said slowly to make her understand that it wasn't given to her for another motive, "however it also has the power to unlock the Apocalypse." He then turned towards Don who pulled a knife which was given to him... By himself; apparently something similar to what happened with Tutankhamen. "Interesting," said Yuzaki as he saw the strange looking blade as Don held it, "right now that's actually the only thing that looks like a key besides my cross or ankh in some sense. Well, all these things have some power over the binds that hold that monster so we should take care of them. If we get past tomorrow and still have the keys I think the prophecy could be nullified as well; or at least postponed until another eclipse occurs." He then looked next to him and noticed the falcon headed man standing next to him; not Dux, Horus. "Pharaoh," he said, "you are finally whole once more; all my powers are yours in order to stop Apophis's rising." Without another word, Horus slowly materialized inside of Yuzaki and his eyes seemed to look, for a moment, like the eyes of an actual falcon; big, black and with the white part of the eye yellow. Ranma124
Track had been standing watching as all the events had happened. He shook his head in disbelief then began to shout. "What the heck is going on here." Track then shook his head again and sighed trying to calm himself down. He then looked back up at his friends. "Okay then guys. Seeing as we've got almost all the keys were still missing one. And probably one of the important ones. I'm talking about my key of course. So let's see what could my key be." Track began to think and waited to see if anyone else had any ideas. Drew had been searching for a while when he eventually saw two boys about his age with duel spirits floating behind them. One of them had a swordsman of Landstar spirit whilst the other had an acrobatic monkey. Drew smiled to himself and walked over to them. "Excuse me but if you could show me a swordsman of Landstar and an acrobatic monster I'd be so grateful. The two boys looked at each-other and shrugged. "Hey sure. Why not." They said in unison." They both pulled out the cards that were the same as their spirits. Both spirits began too scream as Drew quickly took out the stone and drained the energy from the monster causing the to completely disappear. Drew laughed and walked away. "Well that guy was weird." Said one. "Tell me about it. And what on earth was up with that stone." The boys both shrugged and carried on their conversation. Drew made his way to the spot where he was supposed to meat up with Escher.
