Ranma124
Track accepted the card Don was giving him and stared at it for a while. It was the card ally of justice catastor. Track smiled and looked up at Don. "Wow. Thanks Don. Your the greatest. No one has ever given me a present before."Track placed the card in his special place for his extra deck. He then looked back up at Don. "Okay that sounds great. Anything would do for me. And your right we should really find does two lovebirds. Although I'm not sure if it's a good idea to disturb their date. So where should we start." Track laughed and waited for Don to response.
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki nodded gravely, took the pendant and returned it to his coat pocket. "Everything seems so confusing yet strangely I know this is real," said Yuzaki, "I mean how could anyone explain the spirits and my visions?" He grabbed his pendant and looked at it with curiosity. He could never recall when he had put it on for the first time since according to his parents it was given to him by his aunt at birth and he never took it off, even when he sparred in Tae-Kwon-Do practice which could damage or even break it but it never did. Yuzaki looked at Suzume in the eyes and he had a strange look, not his Horus eyes, he felt sorry that he dragged his friends into this, he was putting them in harms way; even if it was prophecized he always believed that the future can be changed if you have the willpower to change it. Did he not have enough? Couldn't he just erase he knights from everything and face Amathoz himself? All these questions buzzed through Yuzaki's head as he looked at Suzume with his deep hazel eyes, if he had to die it wouldn't matter but he could not bear the thought of having the people he cared for being harmed for his protection. Dux appeared next to Yuzaki and put his arm around Yuzaki's shoulder. "Listen Yuzaki," he said though it was not sure if he was visible to Suzume at the moment, "I know how you feel but you can't think on what you could have avoided. Right now your friends will help you, we will help you, but you have to know that you are not the only one that wants to protect someone else." Dux flew off phasing through the ceiling of the restaurant. "I am going to examine something," said Dux, "do not worry, I will always reappear by your side." Yuzaki understood what Dux said but he was still a little shaken up by what was happening and then noticed that he had spaced off looking at Suzume. "Sorry," said Yuzaki quickly, "I was completely spaced out for a moment. Amathoz is not really a believer, he knows it's real as well because if it wasn't, he wouldn't be alive right now, if he can even be considered alive; he is not someone to mess around with, I know from firsthand experience." He rubbed his arms as he rolled up his jacket sleeves a bit and exposed the bite marks he had received earlier that day, they had healed remarkably fast but it was more than likely that Yuzaki and one of his inventions were to take the credit for that. He finished eating and asked the waiter for the bill; even if Suzume wasn't finished he wanted to pay the bill just to get that out of the way. "Okay," said Yuzaki to the man, "$124.56 here, and here's your tip; thank you we'll leave when my friend finishes." He smiled but it wasn't the same as a real smile, it was a courtesy smile but he did not seem to have any true emotion in it. [OOC: You can make a response or reaction to Yuzaki's commentary anywhere you want to. Also I didn't put Dux visible to Suzume because that apparently occurred inside Yuzaki's mind when he spaced out. The following will happen after any reactions Suzume has, like for him spacing out talking about Amathoz and things like that, and if possible any answers that Yuzaki gives her; you don't need to jump into THAT part just yet, I'm only putting so all of you know what happens next if necessary. (Also I'll just copy and paste it if I have to include it after a couple of posts.)] The servant of Amathoz brandished his gun as he ran out of the restrooms and pointed it towards Yuzaki. "Hello pharaoh," said the man, "are you ready to die... Again!" Yuzaki held his ground and stood up to the man, if he came close enough Yuzaki would disarm him easily. "Listen you can just leave all these people alone," said Yuzaki with a serious tone, "you want me, not them." The man laughed and ran to the side pointing his gun at Suzume. "Au contraire my witless wonder," said the man as he cocked his gun, "I want her!" The man fired the shot, which was reverbetated throughout the entire food court and a large thump was heard on the wooden floor.Yuzaki had placed himself between the servant and Suzume, blocking the bullet but taking the hit. He could hear screams from the other people who were either just screaming or screaming something at him, he was unaware what Suzume's reaction was. Yuzaki got enough strength to turn around and knock the man down and punch him hard enough to leave him unconscious. However, the pain from the shot was to much to bear and he fell on the floor in a borderline between life and death. His eyes were still open but he could not answer or understand anything. "I L..." He muttered but soon fell silent His wound was just above the heart, meaning that if he did not receive medical attention soon he would most probably die. However, there was one thing that could cure the wound quickly, the thing that cured the deep wounds in his arms rather quickly and rested in his right jacket pocket; but what chance was there that someone would know where to look and how to operate that gun like machine. The only one that could know was Dux, if Suzume could find him Yuzaki would be saved, if not... [OOC: Like before Suzume doesn't need to participate in this part if she still has some responses of the other post. Also for Track and Don, they could hear the gunshot since it was in the foodcourt area which was basically my goal.]
Wave_Sine
We bring you now to a special bulletin with our reporter, Angela Raines: "Oh god Ted, this is disturbing! I'm near the plaza in front of the City Hall, where the 'space debris' nearly crushed several people hours ago, and some mysterious man appears to be on a rampage. All of the bystanders around, myself included, can barely make sense of this display of brutal carnage. No one is sure, but this man appears to be teleporting between each kill, or something. According to this officer, there have been 15 deaths so far, including two policemen. Based on the wounds inflicted on the victims, the weapons appear to be a pair or blades, but the assailant is moving to quickly to allow for identification The police urge anyone with information on this man to - OH GOD-" Well, it looks like there are some technical difficulties with our special responder. We'll be back with sports after the break. Escher gave a soul-chilling laugh as he disemboweled yet another person. "Kill random people." Those were Amathoz's exact words, and he was happy to oblige. It was so simple, stab, step though 4-space, decapitate, step though 4-space, see a bullet, step though 4-space. Even though he was limited to 'steps', to the leyman's eye, it would look like teleportation. Satisfied with his work, he stopped, pulled the stone he was given by his lord and master from his coat, and watched as it appeared to glow purple for several seconds, before returning to its original state. Storing his swords on his back, Escher saluted the remaining onlookers and bolted in the direction of the temple, increasing his speed by 'stepping'. Time Psyduck
Suzume glanced down at Ruby Carbuncle, curled up beside her, "That's true," she noted, idly petting the spirit, "without this prophecy, you don't make sense." She turned back to Yuzaki, who's eyes had glazed over. "Yuzaki?" she questioned, which seemed to have broken him out of it. He then returned to the subject of Amazoth, rubbing the snakebites that, whilst apparently healed, looked as though they were very vicious. Suzume gave a small shudder, but returned to her food as the Yuzaki paid the bill. It happened just as Suzume finished eating. A man came up to them brandishing a gun and pointed it at Yuzaki. Suzume began to rise, hoping to do...well, she didn't know what, but something, when the gun turned and pointed at her instead. Everything then seemed to happen so quickly. A large bird emerged from nowhere, shielding her, then a gun fired, the bird vanished, and Yuzaki, who had put himself in front of the bullet, swung at the shooter before dropping to the ground. Suzume caught him. "Yuzaki..." she gasped, "Someone call an ambulance!" she screamed over the panic, just before the waiter, who had moved towards the phone the moment Yuzaki had dealt with the assailant, could pick it up. Tears beginning to form, Suzume returned to Yuzaki. "Come on Yuzaki," she told him, "you can't die. You're too brave and determined and brilliant to just give up like this, and I can't let you." "Well, we could see if they're in a rest-" Don was cut of by the distinctive report of a gun emerging from a sushi restaurant. In a flash he looked back to Track. "Find the others," he told him, and then set off, running across the food court at a rather impressive full speed. It took him seconds until he crashed through the restaurant doors, but time had slowed down for him, and it seemed much longer. When he arrived, the first thing he noticed was that all attention was on a figure on the floor. Much of him was hidden, but Don caught a glimpse of Yuzaki's face, and then noticed Suzume beside him. "Oh no," he muttered, striding across the restaurant. Dark Valkyria was almost, but not quite, able to keep up, and arrived seconds later. Aware she couldn't do a whole lot for the boy as a spirit, she figured the best cause of action was to gather information. "DUX! PHALANX!" she called, her voice echoing out into the food court, "What happened here?" Don knelt down next to Yuzaki. "Hold on laddie," he reassured him. "This isn't good," he sighed, "Ah have some first aid skills, but this is far beyon' me. Ye have called an ambulance, right?" The waiter nodded. "Lassie," he turned to Suzume, "keep talking to him. Don' let 'im slip off." He moved back, and turned to those who hadn't come over to him. "Were's the b- shooter?" he asked. One pointed to him, on the floor, stunned. "Thanks," he replied, and gave the man a kick in the ribs."
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki laid there, slowly loosing his grip on life and then... He was outside his body. He was in a strange place that had a giant balance in the middle and behind it was a figure that was completely dark with no visible features other than ancient Egyptian clothing and strangely it seemed to be mummified up to the shoulders. Next to the balance a jackal headed man stood holding a heart and a feather and near one of the ends of the balance, a strange crocodile/hippopotamus/other animals thing laid on the floor with it's mouth wide open. "Tutankhamen, Akhenaten, Tutankhahamun, and Tutankhaten." said the Jackal headed man which Yuzaki deduced to be Anubis, "you are here to be judged worthy of passing to the afterlife, even pharaoh's have to pass through this test. If your heart weighs more than the feather of truth, Emmit will devour your heart and you will not be able to pass to the afterlife." He place the feather first and then the heart, which was basically Yuzaki's heart. The feather sank and sank until the scale touched thre ground, something that was never seen even with the purest of hearts. "You are truly a pure man with no evil intentions or vengeance," said Anubis in a cold but strangely soothing voice, "you may pass forth to Osiris, my pharaoh." Anubis lowered his jackal head and placed his fist on his chest as a sign of respect. Yuzaki was still unsure of what was happening and how he had gotten there but he nodded courtly so he would not be shunned. As he walked past Emmit the strange creature also seemed to bow it's head and he finally faced the lord of the dead, Osiris. "My young pharaoh," said Osiris in a strangely warm caring voice, "you may pass through the afterlife. However, I do understand you have some unfinished business on Earth with Apophis trying to break free and your need to protect your comrades." Yuzaki nodded once more since he was to stunned by what was happening that he could barely speak. "I will give you a choice," said Osiris calmly, "you may stay and reunite with your parents or... Return and fight alongside your friends." Yuzaki was completely dumbfounded by this question... He was not sure what to do because he wanted to help everyone, but what about his parents. He notice a type of screen appear in the mist where he could see what was happening on his body,. His blue jacket was blood stained right over his heart and it continued flowing out, Suzume was crying over his corpse trying to get him to respond, Don was kicking the assailant's stunned body, and who knows where Track was. Yuzaki kept watching the 'video' while he started to think of his response. Dux returned quickly when he felt something had happened to Yuzaki and was completely heartbroken, if spirits have hearts, when he saw Yuzaki's body lying on the floor near the brink of death. "Valkyria! I don't know what happened I just got back! Yuzaki?!" asked Dux completely stressed out. "No matter, his pocket, Don check his pocket!" Dux seemed very strange, a spirit being that emotionally attached to his owner was something more uncommon than actually having a spirit. "He has a gun type invention which he used to quickly heal his snake bites," said Dux rambling on regardless of what anyone else was saying, "maybe it can heal that! Go! Go!" Phalanx popped out of nothingness and gave Dux a silent look to calm him down, then went towards Yuzaki's body and started stroking his head against Yuzaki's to see if he could wake him up. It was my responsibility, I had to protect him! I promised! And now he's dying... Osiris! Bring him back right now! Dux knew that even if the gun invention repaired the damaged tissue, it would not replace the blood Yuzaki lost. Unless some other force that was greater than medical science intervened, Yuzaki would die.
Time Psyduck
In a single motion Don glided across the room back to where Yuzaki was, and felt around inside his pockets. Other customers looked at him as though he'd just gone mad, which admittedly looked to be the case. "There!" he exclaimed, pulling a strange device that somewhat resembled a gun from the boy's pocket. "Laddie, yer care too much fer yer own good, and yet if ye didn't we wouldn't stick wi' ya." He looked over the device. It very much resembled a gun, but Don was no stranger to firearms, and he could tell this wasn't a real one. Coupled with the absence of anything remotely similar in the boys pocket, he was confident he had the right thing. However, when he pointed it at Yuzaki, half the restaurant protested. "It's no' real," Don countered, "It's fer medical purposes." Ah hope. He pointed it into the wound, and pulled the trigger.
Ranma124
Track was running towards the same place Don had headed for. As he entered the restuarant he noticed Yuzaki was lying on the floor. He saw both Suzume and Don there aswell. He was about to approach Yuzaki but Junk Synchron appereared and stoped him. Junk Synchron began to speak in its own special language which was mostly random sounding noises. But Track could understand the language as he had many years of practice. "Your right Junk Synchron." Track ran over to a couple of shops and bought a few things using the money he had brought with him to the city. After he was done he went back to the restaurant and walked over to Don. "Okay i dont know what happened but i bought a blanket and pillow to keep him warm and comfartable."
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki chuckled a bit as he saw his young and innocent friend as he came in with a blanket and pillow for no reason, apparently he did not know what was actually happening. Osiris then showed Yuzaki an image of his parents which were in the afterlife. "You may choose to stay or return to your world," said Osiris, "however if you choose to leave, keep in mind that you WILL have to return." Suddenly a flash of light filled the room where Yuzaki was in. A falcon headed man with white and yellow eyes that looked like the sun and moon appeared in the room in front of Yuzaki. "Tutankhamen, Yuzaki," said the man, "I am Horus… I gave you my power, you have the choice of staying but remember your friends will have no one to lead them and they will most likely fall prey to Amathoz and Apophis." Yuzaki turned his head back to the screen and knew that it was true, if he took the easy way out they would most likely die gruesomely. "Why did you come here anyways," asked Yuzaki nervously and was surprised at the echo his voice had while he spoke in that place, "I still haven't even chosen." "You are young," said Horus contemplating Yuzaki, "if you do not have guidance you will make the wrong choices, I only wish to show you what may happen." Yuzaki turned to the vision projection thing and noticed that it was no longer showing his friends around his corpse, now his friends were all dead, the same exact scene from his nightmare. He was terrified when he saw this but it changed back to the present and he knew that it was only what could happen and not something that had already happened. "You gave me my power," started Yuzaki, "Horus, why exactly is my power?" Horus knelt to reach the height of Yuzaki and then Yuzaki noticed that he was actually about ten feet tall. "You will have to learn that on your own," said Horus quietly, "however, do not worry; remember you are not only Tutankhamen's incarnation, but mine as well. Send blessings to my son when you get back." And he vanished in the same flash of light; Yuzaki was surprised by everything, he knew that pharaohs were considered incarnations of Horus but he never expected that a reincarnation of a pharaoh would be the same. He looked back at the image of his parents and nodded at Osiris. "I've decide," said Yuzaki, "I'm going back..." His crucifix, which he noticed to be the only piece of clothing he had, started to glow and a flash of white light engulfed him. [OOC: Meanwhile.] The gun was working, it slowly repaired the damaged tissue and Dux was relieved. However, the ugly truth was revealed when the loss of blood became evident. Even when the gun repaired all the tissue Yuzaki needed more blood to live. "No!" screamed Dux, "Osiris answer me! Father please convince grandfather!" As if on cue, Yuzaki's eyes and necklace started to glow incredibly bright. Suddenly Yuzaki ghasped loudly and looked at everyone around him. "Hey guys," he said meekly, "what'd I miss?" He gave a small smile as he looked from Don and Track to Suzume.
Time Psyduck
Disregarding the fact that he had just been shot, Suzume pulled Yuzaki into a tight hug. "You're OK," she gasped. "Thank goodness. I was so worried - don't ever do anything that stupid again," she told him, her voice turning stern for a moment as she broke away, "I don't know if I could forgive you if you died saving me." Don looked at the pair of them. "Yer one lucky kid," he noted, "te 'ave come back from tha' much blood loss. Someone likes ye laddie." Well, 'im or 'is duel spirit. Dark Valkyria dropped alongside him. "We may have an issue," she pointed out. "That recovery is causing suspicion amongst some of the other diners." Indeed, a couple were whispering about how the boy should have been dead. Yuzaki had to leave before people started asking awkward questions - even if he was happy to reveal the healing gun, he was in no state to do so now. "Ladies an' gentlemen, we thank ye fer watchin' oor' performance. We've been the Pyramid street perfomance studio, and you've been fantastic, so giv' yerselves a round o' applause." He slipped over to Track. "Get those two oot o' here. Ah'll settle their bill and get this 'un," he explained, nudging the shooter again with his foot. Ranma124
Track saw that the gun Don was holding had healed Yuzaki. As soon as Yuzaki had got up and began to get hugged by Suzume. Track began to jump around and started doing a little dance. "Oh yeah." Whilst doing this Track dropped the blanket and pillow and then stopped and picked them up, as he heard Don tell him to get Yuzaki and Suzume out of the restuarant. Track went over to them. He bent down and whispered to them. "Okay you two lovebirds lets take this somewhere else." Track began to make his way out of the restaurant. Suddenly there was a loud rumbling noise. He ooked around at the people who were saring at him. "What i havent eaten since morning and i used all my money on these." Track walked out of the restaurant calling out to Yuzaki and Suzume. "Okay lets go guys."
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki couldn't do much to respond to Suzume who squeezed him tightly, though he felt a little pain he was completely cured by Osiris. He looked at Dux and smiled slightly and mouthed the word, 'Thanks.' He then noticed that everyone was confused on how he revived and Don started to say something of Pyramid street performers, ironic considering everything of Egypt. He then looked at Track who called them lovebirds, even dying and coming back wasn't stopping Track from being childish. "Track please," said Yuzaki who was still pretty weak considering the journey from the afterlife and back to life seemed to drain his energy, "could you take this a little seriously, I mean I really did die... Don't worry, I'll buy you something to eat on the go." He gave a weak smile and was very careful not to say the dying part to loud so others could hear him. "Don don't worry about the bill, it's already paid," Yuzaki told him and then returned to Suzume, "hey I'm not stupid, if anything I'm selfless." He gave another smile and as he tried to get up he fell back on the floor but luckily the pillow and sheet broke his fall. "Uh oh," remarked Yuzaki, "um guys I haven't fully recovered so I can't walk or get up..." He looked at the people and noticed that they started recognizing him as the guy with all the new inventions. "Yeah I'm Yuzaki Kinjo," he said trying to cover this up as good as he could, "this is my part time, it's that our performances are very realistic so I have to act this way... Don't worry." He gestured at Suzume and Track and mouthed some words at them as well. 'Help please.'
Wave_Sine
Escher continued his journey back to the temple to give Amathoz that which he had reaped. That had him thinking though; would not a scythe have been a more fitting weapon? Thinking it over, however, it wouldn't have worked as well. He had little practice with the tool, and anyway, it would have been too cliche for his tastes. A few minutes later, Escher looked up at the temple and an insane grin took over his face. The temple, while impressive, with its columns and its statues here and there, was not the reason for the expression: Escher was realizing the implications of his abilities now applying outside of card games. Composing himself quickly, his entered the inner sanctum with his delivery.
Time Psyduck
Suzume leant down and slowly helped Yuzaki to stand. "Just take it easy," she told him, "I don't think anyone could blame you for not being in great shape after that. It's a good job you went and bought this stuff Track, or that could have been a nasty fall." "They're method actors," Don was telling a concerned customer, "they'll stay in character until they go home. No, ma'am, 'ee isn' gonna die. There's a small explosive in the bag o' fake blood. It may a' winded 'im if it slipped, but he'll be fine after a night's sleep." Well, as fine as anyone who was shot can be. It really does look as though he should be dead already. He bent down to pick up the assassin, and, seeing the gun was still on the floor, pocketed it. He then pulled the man up, placing an arm over his own shoulders. "He's just asleep, ma'am. Narcoleptic, but we 'ave to be on oor way. It's fine sir, I can manage him."
Ranma124
Track rested on the wall of the restaurant. He started calling out to Yuzaki and Suzume. " Hey come on you too. Do you think you could hurry up a bit more." Track then stretched and yawned. Then his stomach rumbled once more. Once again making a loud noise. "Im really starting to get hungry and not to mention tired. I'm only a kid and I really need my beauty sleep." Track placed his hands behind his head and then he began to walk away from the restaurant. He turned around and called out to Yuzaki and Suzume. "So are you going to hurry up or what." Drew had heard a loud banging noise as he was walking past the food court. He went to investigate whilst at the same time stabbing a few people and stealing their souls. He the noticed that there was a red headed boy outside of a sushi restaurant. Drew walked away and hid next another restaurant so that he would be able to watch. "Isnt that Yuzakis friend. I wonder what happened" He moved in a position where he could see inside the restaurant. He noticed Suzume carrying Yuzaki and another guy carrying a guy who looked as though he had fainted. "Wait a second I recognize that guy. He is another one of Amathozs servants. It all adds up. He must of tried to kill Yuzaki. That's the only explanation for the bang. A gun." Drew started to seem a bit angry. "How dare he. Has no one told him that the only one to deal with Yuzaki will be me." Drew began to walk away from the scene. Once again stabbing people. lugia61617
Kai's Dream/Half-Vision: Part 3 Doragon and the Bandit tried their best to confort Kai as he felt every lash of the whip his past self took. Thankfully, it seemed that the dream was set to skip to the next major event; the room they were in suddenly became dark and Khai's presence could be felt. The three beings looked to view him and recoiled in horror to see what had happened to him. Kai walked towards his past counterpart to view the damage done in what appeared to be several weeks of the same treatment. All over Khai's body were scars and healing wounds, and he even had a black eye. Kai could barely take any of what he was seeing, but he managed to keep himself together so that he could continue watching. A new man, whom Kai somehow recognised as being the 'Akori' the other man had mentioned earlier, slid the stone used as a makeshift door aside and called out; "You! Get up! It's finally time for you to become useful." Khai rose to his feet and slowly walked out of the room as though in tow of the man. Kai, Doragon and Bandit found themselves following without actually moving. As Kai looked closer, he noticed his counterpart seemed to have lost all the light in his eyes, and it was as though the life and soul of who he used to be had been sucked out. It was upon this idea's dawning that the reality of the situation was revealed to them, as the two figures entered a chamber that was slightly larger than Khai's 'cell'. Several men stood in the middle, all wielding strange golden objects on their arms. The evident leader of the group, a large and muscular man with long black hair and wide brown eyes, smiled at Akori and Khai. "Okay, now we're all here, the conditioned twerp included, we can begin our attack on the pharaoh, which with the information we forced out of our prisoner here we should be more successful, being able to at least kill most of his defending soldiers." He brandished the gold item on his wrist, and the others did the same. "Thanks to the raids we performed on the palace and several noble homes and tombs, we now have these things, which we can use to summon creatures in these 'duat challenges' the heiroglyphics on the tombs told us of. Remember that these things feed off our life force, so don't overextend yourselves. Also, the twerp here is perfectly conditioned to obey us, and as such will be fighting alongside. Now, men, let's roll out!" The men all cheered and the scene changed for, what Kai assumed, was the last time. Kai, Doragon and the Bandit were now floating above the city, the pharaoh's palace in full view not too far away. Although Kai felt a twinge of nostalgia in his heart, it was short lived as flames began to sprout from buildings and the entire gang of terrorists summoned various spirit creatures to attack the soldiers whom the pharaoh had sent to protect the city. Despite seeming like a one-sided fight, the rebel forces were being successfully forced back when the more powerful servants and the pharaoh Tutankhamen himself joined the frey in a desperate attempt to crush this now empowered rebellion. As the rebels began losing more men to the duat than planned, the leader shouted out; "Seth! Akori! Bring him out! He's out last chance!" The tall thin man Kai who had knocked Khai unconscious and the other man from just a few minutes ago rushed back and left the battle. In only about five minutes they returned with the conditioned Khai. The leader then demanded a ceasefire which was, to Kai's surprise, accepted. "Now then, Pharaoh, I have...a propesition for you; you surrender to us and step down as Pharaoh, and we'll give you your most favoured servant and best friend back." He placed his right hand on Khai's left shoulder. Khai looked at his former master, and although it would normally have been pleasing to see him, his eyes were still lifeless and dead. Tutankhamen opened his mouth and seemed to say something, but somehow the words he heard didn't match the lip movement, and the voice seemed different to Kai. It was as though something had changed his vision, yet somehow these words still made Kai feel a hatred for the pharaoh; "I care not for him." At this point, Khai raised his right arm, which like the rebels brandished one of the stolen golden objects, and he called a chant; "Duat Challenge. Survival format. I call upon the god of darkness and Chaos himself; Apep," His voice was dull and monotone, his spirit most definately broken. Although it surprised everyone, a beam of darkness shot down and hit the golden object, causin Khai to scream in pain. Shadows began to grow around them, and eventually they materialised into a huge snake-like deity. It seemed to display displeasure at being summoned by an amateur, especially one who had no real relation to his usual summoner Amathoz, however anyone who could summon him without using all their life force was worthy of using him. He lunged towards the soldiers, all of which were sent straight into the Duat itself. Only a few managed to survive, and those that did, including the pharaoh, made a quick retreat. The rebellion force that remained cheered in triumph as they sensed their victory was right in the palm of their hands, however it was very short-lived. within minutes of their celebration, lightning began to strike from nowhere and the sun began shining extremely brightly. Another deity appeared before them, evidently under the control of the pharaoh in a final bid to strike down the traitor's creature. The being did not speak, but rather simply raised an arm and created a giant orb. The orb began to glow along edges on its surface as it opened to reveal, to Kai's surprise, the Yu-Gi-Oh monster Winged Dragon of Ra - though he should have expected it considering the name. Ra seemed to fade away before the dragon blasted Apep and the rebel forces, sending the majority of them into the duat. Among the few that remained were the leader, Khai, Akori and Seth. With most of his life force drained away, Apep was forced to disappear along with the dragon that had attacked him, however he muttered something which sounded like a curse on Khai for letting him get injured. Khai collapsed onto the floor, and the injured leader of the group began shouting for a retreat. "Everyone! Get back! We need to regroup, damn that pharaoh!" "I'm afraid we can't do that." Akori said boldly, a smile crossing his face. The leader went pale as he looked back; Akori and several other survivors had rendered many others unconscious and were tying up their hands and legs. "Wh-What is the meaning of this, Akori?!" The leader spluttered. Akori walked straight up to the leader's face and poked his nose with his index finger. "Well, I'm surprised you haven't worked it out yet; we're moles." "M-Moles?! What insolence--" "We work for the pharaoh and have infiltrated your group to bring you to justice!" Kai felt warm inside to see justice at work, even though these events had already happened. As the leader was also rendered unconscious, the dream faded and Kai woke up once more in a cold sweat. Real life once more: "Damn, again. I'll be lucky to sleep at this rate, but still...Doragon!" THe dragon-like Digihuman appeared beside Kai. It was only in this light that Kai was able to note how similar Doragon's head was to that of Sonic the Hedgehog, but now was not the time to dwell on possible lawsuits Konami will get in future. "I assume this is about the vision you had, master Kai?" He gave his almost usual solemn look, though it was somewhat broken by the fact that his eyes kept averting themselves from his master. "I..I summoned the god Apep...was he the one that caused me to get stuck in this reincarnation cycle?" There was an atmosphere of genuine fear eminating from him. Doragon looked at Kai again, though closed his eyes and moved his head so he would be looking down, in order to show how sad he felt. "It is indeed likely, master. However I do not think you should put too much faith into what you saw and heard." He put emphasis on the last word to trigger Kai's memory. "Oh, the unfitting words, right? That was odd..." "Someone has tampered your memories, and I have no idea who it could be. I suggest you try to find out more about your original life in the morning - perhaps you should visit the museum or something." "I can't, Doragon, I have cards to deliver to that kid!" When he said that, something clicked in his mind. "What exactly posessed me to make cards for that guy...Eh, doesn't matter. I'm sure I can afford to take one day off, it can't hurt too much. I'm sure that guy will come back again. Besides, learning more about the past is more important." He rolled over in his bed and closed his eyes again, this time going into a more peaceful slumber. Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki stumbled a bit as he got up with Suzume and leaned on her so he could walk a bit without forcing his legs. "Thanks Suzume, sorry I'm so weak now but I'll get better soon" said Yuzaki, "Track seriously, if I had to look up inconsiderate in the dictionary your face would pop up." He laughed a bit and stumbled once more but he was able to hold himself up. "I'm even offering to buy you food," Yuzaki continued, "you can't expect someone that came back from the dead to jump all over the place, sheesh; why don't you try it first and then ask me to hurry up and trust me you need more beauty sleep than you realize." He looked and noticed that the people were still looking strangely at him because he seemed to realistic in what he was saying. He pointed back to Don, trying to make them remember what he said about method actors and then winked. "Afterwards we'll go to my house," said Yuzaki, "like I said before. I think we really need to talk now, considering these guys won't hesitate to use extreme measures and you guys wouldn't believe what I saw on the other side... Yeah; this isn't the anime where everything is resolved with card games." He looked to his side and noticed that Dux kept his head down and didn't even think of looking at him. Don't worry Dux, I'm fine thanks to you! If it wasn't for you they wouldn't have found the gun and your father wouldn't have convinced me to return. Oh, and he sends you his blessings. Dux looked up and seemed to smile though his face was covered by the mask he always had and then he nodded. Phalanx kept floating next to Yuzaki always rubbing his head against Yuzaki's face, happy that he was back again.

Ranma124
Track listened to everything Yuzaki had to say. Whilst Yuzaki was talking Track placed his hands behind his head. When he was done Track spoke up. "Inconcide what. I'm the strongest duelists in the world not the biggest geekozoid. Oh and by the way Yuzaki you owe me big time. You know that right. So you can repay me in food." Track thought for a second. He put his down and began to talk again. "I want. Chicken and chips." As Track said what he wanted he shot his fist into the air." Time Psyduck
"After you," Don gestured, allowing Suzume to help Yuzaki out of the shop. As they went, she turned and glared at Track. "What he means is," she hissed, "that you're a jerk. He got shot, and all you can think about is your stomach and your ego?" Suzume then proceeded to ignore the boy as he navigated his way through the door, at which point Don set off across the restaurant. As he passed Track he grabbed the boy by the collar. "Has no-one e're taught ye any manners, laddie?" he asked, pulling both the unconscious assailant and the boy along with apparent ease. "Some-one near enough died tonight - by all rights he really should 'ave, even with 'is 'ealing weapon, so ye just witnessed a miracle laddie - and all ye can think aboot is yerself? Ah've known 'omeless people wi' more empathy than ye." Upon exiting the shop he let go of Track turned to Yuzaki. "I brough' this guy as well," he explained, lifting the unconscious man slightly. "Ah figured he might knew somethin'. Do ye wanna talk wi' 'im, or shall Ah just leave 'im somewhere?"
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki looked at Don and then at the man that had tried to shoot Suzume but got him instead. "Yeah," he said coldly, "I'm not one for prisoners but this guy is going to give us answers." He then turned back to Track when everyone explained what he was telling him. "You are way too self centered and by the way," said Yuzaki not screaming but in a very cold voice, "you can't be a knight when the purpose of your existence almost died minutes ago, never expect to be the leader of the knights with that attitude... And I saved you from getting run over!" He took out his wallet and pulled a hundred dollar bill and pushed it against Track's chest. "Here," said Yuzaki, "take it, buy whatever the heck you want. Just hurry up." He then proceeded to sit down as he saw the man slowly regain conciousness. The man was surprised to see Yuzaki still alive after being shot in practically point blank range. "You-you!" He tried to leave but Don still had him a little lifted up from the ground. Yuzaki looked at him seriously still sitting on a mural that was there. "Surprised to see me," said Yuzaki sternly and hid the fact that he actually did die at least for a moment, "you are a very lousy shot. Now then tell me everything you know about Amathoz." The guy twisted and turned remarking that it was impossible and then cursing that Don was holding him to high. Suddenly he seemed to faint but it was more than that. Amathoz, far away from where they were apparently silenced the servant... Permanently.
Time Psyduck
Dark Valkyria watched the rather stern Yuzaki with some interest. "Angering him is inadvisable," she noted. Don was about to lower the man he was holding slightly - not enough to give him chance to do anything, but enough that he couldn't complain - when he suddenly went limp. Don froze, and a moment later reached to his captive's neck, feeling for a pulse. Pausing for little more than a second, he laid the man down onto the floor and held the back of his hand over the man's mouth. "Nothin,'" he muttered, "an' no pulse ah can find. It seems 'ee's dead," Don explained, a sombre look on his face. "Ah'd be lothe to resuscitate anyway, but what with 'im droppin' like 'e did, a just dinna see it workin. Somehow ah get the feelin' 'ee didn't just go from the shock 'o seein ye still with us."
Kazekage dragon
Yuzaki was still angered with the fact that this guy had tried to attack Suzume, but he was still a little shocked when Don ascertained that he had died. "He's of no use now," said Yuzaki still maintaining a stern composure, "but we can't just leave him-" He was cut off when a voice was heard and the limp head slowly raised itself. However, the voice was very different and the eyes had completely become blood red. "My pharaoh," said the head which was the only part that was not limp of the body, "I am so sorry for your inconveniences. You see this servant could not follow orders... So, I killed him." He chuckled a bit, his voice had a very hissing/snake-like tone to it, he then looked at Don and Suzume, it was the first actual encounter they had with Amathoz at least in this life. "Your majesty and a fellow knight how wonderful," he said wit a rather sarcastic tone towards the two of them, "well you have not deduced who I am let me introduce myself, manners you know. I am high priest Amathoz Ankhrenah Horaapep Bes; or you may call me your doom. But do not worry, I'll make your deaths swift and easy, except my pharaoh's." The he ad turned back to Yuzaki and had a weird smile, not of happiness or any other emotion; more like when an animal shows it's teeth and it looks like it's smiling but just wants to attack it's prey. "Amathoz," said Yuzaki coldly, in any other circumstance he would have been nervous but right now he only felt anger and hate, "one of your lackeys huh. Doesn't suprise me, don't want to do the job yourself considering what happened last time?" Noticeable anger radiated from Amathoz's eyes. "Do not worry my pharaoh," he said with a deeper and threatening tone, "I will take care of you personally, when Apophis arrives he will have the pleasure of eating the dead pharaoh!" Then the body went limp once more and Yuzaki cursed because he could not find out much... Except, he snapped his fingers remarking about something he remembered from reading ancient Egyptian texts. "Apophis," said Yuzaki slowly and with profound anger in his voice, "Amathoz is planning on bringing back Apophis from the Duat... Basically the apocalypse I saw in my vision. Makes sense, god of chaos bringing about destruction... But when?" [OOC: Interrupt on any part of Amathoz talking if you need/want to; also Yuzaki finished by rambling stuff to himself because he does that sometimes. If you need to say something during Yuzaki's rambling you can do so just specify something like that he continued talking like a crazy person or something.]
Wave_Sine
While waiting for Amathoz to return to the inner sanctum of the the temple, Escher had started to tap his foot. This being insufficient to relieve his boredom, Escher pocketed the stone once again, then pulled a cloth from his bag. He pulled one of the swords from its storage on his back, and began polishing the blade. After he finished with this, Escher re-sheathed the blade and began to walk around impatiently, hoping to find Amathoz. A few minutes later, he found Amathoz, apparently conducting some sort of ritual. Escher held back outside the room; he was not yet at full power, and a confrontation would be a... setback. Ranma124
Track was shocked when all three of his friends had suddenly turned on him. Track didn't bother going to buy anything and was about to give it back to Yuzaki when the man began to talk. After Amathoz was finished using the man to communicate Track began to talk. "You know what. So what if all I care about is my ego and my stomach." He turned to Suzume. "At least I don't bottle up my feelings. Unlike you I always speak my mind. No matter how selfish or rude it is. I mean why can't you just admit that you like Yuzaki and that in your past life you were his queen." He turned to Don. "I don't care what anyone thinks of me and actually no. No one has ever taught me manners. It's not like I had any parents to teach did I. "And Yuzaki. I'm sorry for being so self centered. The only person I've ever had to care for is myself. And the only person I've had to care for is. Oh yeah no one. By the way you act as though you never knew your parents one bit. I'm sure you have at least one memory unlike me. Oh and as for the knight thing. I don't want to be the leader of a girl who pretends she doesn't like someone and a guy who has a duel spirit that's a total jerk." When Track was finished shouting at them he placed Yuzakis money on the table. "Oh and here's your stinking money. I'm not hungry anymore. Now can we just leave now." Time Psyduck
"Even if he doesn't do what you want him to, you can't just kill your own people," Suzume protested, but Amazoth's mouthpiece ignored her. When the man was finally allowed to remain as the dead should, Track decided to air his grievances. Suzume was his first target, and as before, the topic was about her and Yuzaki. For a moment she was shocked that he'd found out she was the queen, but she quickly regained her composure. He was only guessing, since she'd told absolutely no-one about the dreams. "Oh give it a rest already," she told him, "Tutankhamen had more than one sister, and I already told you Yuzaki and I are just friends. If you can't come up with anything else, then stop talking." Don sighed. "Laddie, ye must o' had some guardian figure - there's no way ye could o' survived from bein' less that, what, five? At the very minimum without someone to care for ye. But really, if ye dinna care what others think o' ye, then ye should. The real world is all about the image ye give, and if ye come across as a jerk, yer gonna get nowhere. Trust me, ah've made a career on makin' people think ah can be trusted." As Track called his duel spirit a Jerk, Don stifled laughter. Considering we just called him out on that behaviour, it's bit rich of him to call the lassie tha', even if she'd use even stronger terms to describe herself. "I, however, still am," he added, as Track declared his lack of hunger, "so if ye'll excuse me ah'll go and pick somethin' up." With that, he headed over to a nearby food stand, Dark Valkyria shadowing him.
