(IC) 12 Months Chapitre 1: January the Priest

The Sleeping Dude

Recommended Posts

September stood where she was, in complete shock over the really recent event that had just occurred. In her hands was her notebook and pen, she help them both tightly so if she made a get away, they would not be lost when running.. While her body was shaking in fright, she couldn't do anything but watch from where she was. Her thoughts were rambling over and over again about what to do in a situation like this, she didn't want to be near what was going to happen, but there was no way she could move. With that, she was also going on about how to get away from both of her siblings, March and November. But as she was getting patted on the head by March, she began to blush in happiness that someone in her family was not being so scary and maybe she could gain a better relationship with him, instead of having fear. She felt the same way about November.

When the puff of dark smoke surrounded March, he looked at the smoke with interest and when they arrived in the desert, March turned to November with a smile. "Hey that was a pretty cool thing you just did, I never knew you could teleport with that smoke." March said with a smile. March then turned to face the front again. March was a bit more calm now but he was still pumped about battling. March clenched his fists awaiting for the temptations. "Uhh, not to doubt you or anything but these temptations sure are taking their sweet ass time to get over here don't you think? It's pretty annoying having to wait for these things." March said, letting his impatience getting the better of him for a bit. Even so, March trusts that November knows the location of the temptations.

"Be pati-" November was cut off mid sentence by the ground trembling. The ground was shaking violently like an asteroid had just hit the Earth. November stood there looking at the ground. Suddenly the ground bursts open just feet away from where they were standing. Up from the ground came a huge ten foot tall demon like creature. his horns were massive and blood stained. his arms were about as long as November himself. "I did not expect this, I though there were soldiers..are you prepared brother?" The demon let out a huge roar "MMUUAAAARRRRR!" Before charging November and March..

When the ground started shaking, March began tumbling in place. "W-Whoa, what's going on here?!" March asked, confused. Suddenly, a huge, powerful-looking demon creature arose from large cracks created by the violent shaking. Seeing this, March's eyes widened and a large grin formed on his face. March's expression looked like a kid in a candy shop when he saw the creature. "Hell yes! We get to fight the powerful one!" March rejoiced. When November asked March if he was ready, all he could do was smile in response. "Let's do it! Alright, let's see how you'll like the taste of my sword!" March said before reaching for his sword on his back. However, when March reached for his sword, nothing was there. "Gah! I forgot to bring my sword!" March exclaimed, little comical teardrops hanging from his eyeballs.

"Aww screw it, I'll use my bare fists. One more thing November, is this thing a human or is it just a pure temptation? If it's not human, I won't hold back and I'll go all out." March said.

In the smoke that was upon her, she couldn't see through it. She fell on to the ground is a fast motion with her knees taking the hit. Her hands followed to the ground, releasing both her notebook and pen. She moved her hands slowly across the ground to try and find both of them so that nothing would happen to her research. September came across nothing while looking, she left her hands on the ground, but didn't move them. She stopped looking in the smoke because she knew that she was going to get no where if she continued to look for them. If she moved she would most likely to get hurt by her reckless family going at each other.

"I can't tell at this point..." November thrusted his staff in the direction of the beast, dark smoke shot out of his staff at intense speeds into the beast. "The darkness is surrounding his mind! Stun him March! I don't know how long he will be incapacitated with the darkness!" November shot a shadow blast out oh his right hand and it shattered on the beast, the beast stumbbled. November could see in the beast's eyes that the darkness was wearing off.

Hearing November's answer, March turned to the creature. "Well, guess I have no choice but to hold back." March said. Once November gave March the chance to attack, March began to look around the area. "(A punch to his body probably won't do too much to him... What can I use around here as a makeshift weapon? C'mon March think! Use you head damn it!)" March thought to himself. March noticed that the creature was stumbling, and he suddenly knew how to knock it down. Using just the weight of his fist alone probably wouldn't bring the gigantic creature down, but something else can. "Alright, be ready to use that umm- thing were you- Just do something when I give you the chance!" March exclaimed before running back away from the creature. When he was far enough away, like a bull readying to charge, March began kicking his foot back. With a wide grin, March's fiery aura appeared. "GET READY CAUSE HERE I COME!!!" March shouted from afar before running a full speed towards the still tumbling creature.

March then rammed straight into the creature, literally using his head with a headbutt charge. "Timber!" March shouted as his full weight combined with the charging was enough to stun the creature and sending it falling towards the ground.

November smiled a bit "Hmph." November casually walked up to the beats. November stepped on his chest and rose his hand over the beast's head. Using his dark energy drain he took the beast dark power away from him. A dark purple aura rose from the beast and made it's way into November's hand, the flow stopped and November pit his hand back to his side. the beast started glowing a blinding glow.A metamorphosis was taking place. The glow had subsided and in the beast's place, lied an unconscious human. "Hm. He;s human. WHat do we do?" November asked. He turned his head to March waiting for an answer.

April wasn't in the mood for his family's normal crap. He just leaned against a tree that was near their campsite. He didn't even bother to pay any sort of attention to any of them for longer than a second. He knew what they were doing. So instead he took watchdog duty and looked out while the others did their normal thing. He looked back to the group and saw a lot of smoke. "Oh great. I don't watch them for a second and they do something."

He started to walk over to the smoke. "What'd they do? Set something on fire? That wouldn't be surprising." When he was over to the now clearing smoke he looked down and saw a notebook. "What's this? A diary?" He picked it up and started looking through it. "What the hell is this? I can't understand a single thing."

Seeing the human, March was glad he didn't go all out. When asked what they were to do with the human, March's eyebrow began to twitch. "Uhh well... Can't you just use your magic teleportation thingy to take him to somewhere safe? I'm sure it'll be fine." March replied. "You have enough power to do it, you are pretty powerful so this'll be a cinch. C'mon, let's hurry and get back to the others, I don't want to miss out if they suddenly got to fight a whole army of temptations." March said. "Hey, that was a pretty cool battle November, you've gotten pretty strong haven't you? Next time, we should have a go at it." March said, placing his hand on November's shoulder and smiling.

September took a vial from her jacket and smashed to the ground, shattering the entire thing, but also releasing purple smoke around her. The smoke started to clear quickly, but September was no where around. Foot steps coming from the ground were walking, but no one was found. The sounds were coming from September, but she was completely invisible. While invisible, she started to walk towards April while tugging the notebook he held away from him and trying to make him not read anything else in it.

"Possibly." November looked at the human wondering where to put him. "I don't know where to send him..." November didn't know Earth too well. He started thinking, where do humans like to be, besides sin city? November raised his staff and a puff of dark smoke surrounded the human and he was then gone. November raised his staff again teleporting he and March back to their siblings. November walked back into the shadows and looked back up to the sky.

When November was thinking of a place to send the human, March also began thinking as well. "(Hmm, where do humans live that they will be safe from temptation at...?)" March thought deeply to himself, even placing his hand of his chin to simulate the appearance of someone in deep thought. Suddenly, November thought of a place and teleported the human away. Then November teleported himself and March back to the location of the others. Before being teleported however, March thought of a place. "Oh I know, how about the-" But due to teleportation, March's sentence was cut off. Arriving back, March was surrounded by the smoke and he accidentally inhaled a lot of the smoke. Gasping from fresh air, March comically fell to the ground, unconscious. A moment later, March awakened and inhaled a large amount of normal air to regain his composure. "Oh man... That did not taste good at all..." March said, referring to the smoke. "Sorry for suddenly running off like that everybody. We went to fight this large temptation, it was pretty weak though. Must be because I'm too strong hahaha." March boasted.

While the 12 siblings talked amongst each other and fought temptations, one sibling simply leant against a tree. Her long cloak hid her features in shadow, except her eyes. They gleamed brightly, the only visible feature of her gentle face. She hummed softly, hand in the pockets of the dress she wore beneath her cloak. After a moment more of silence from her, she sighed.

"March and November just HAD to go fight, didn't they?" She said softly, just loud enough for everyone to hear. "Shouldn't we be sticking together? Father has important things to do, such as governing Heaven, and as such may be temporarily delayed. We should be waiting patiently, rather than disappearing to far off places to battle those of whom we should battle. Yes, we are meant to battle, but we work better as a group, a pack. United we stand, Divided we fall, right?" She raised a hand into the shadows of her claok and caught on a lock oh her, twirling it absent mindedly. It was clear her mind was somewhere else as her eyes turned to the heavens.

Eleven small balls of light floated towards each one of the siblings as January walked toward the group. "You spend to much time away from me, my brothers and sisters. I'd very much like to see your faces every once and awhile." January said, better known as "J". "Here, March, you left this." J said and tossed him a sheathed sword. "I trust everyone is having a pleasant morning?" J asked, since he was the eldest he was probably the closest thing to order they had; besides father of course.

(Damn, guys. Your mostly only active when i'm not?)
December walked up and smiled at January. "Yes I have, January." His skin retained a healthy glow, and a little light glow, a Human Torch of sorts. Except without fire. "But, January, when did I say you could use Light Magic?" He said it rather playfully. He then turned to May. "Right. And I see where your coming from. Father wanted us to save this Earth. But fighting will only allow Satan and his Associates to destroy this Earth further." He smiled. "Well, look on the bright side, we're all here, nobody unaccounted for?" He chuckled at his own joke. "I can't frown. No matter how much I try." He tries, but it only pushes a smile further.

February took back Marchie the Cat and put him back in the pocket. Sat by the cansio and looked off into the distance. There was a group of red monsters coming to them. February screamed at the top of her lungs to get March to run back to her and save her. She knew that would take awhile so she grabbed her bow and a Wind arrow. She placed it in the bow and shot it at the monsters. The arrow got halfway to the monster then it sent a blast of wind at the monsters, knocking them back a couple feet. "Stay on your toes, guys!"

"Uhh, has anybody seen my sword? I'm pretty sure it's laying around here somewhere." March said before snooping around the area. Then, January tossed March his sword to which March smiled and rub the back of his head in embarrassment. "Hehe thanks J." March said before turning to May. "Sorry bout that, couldn't resist getting into a fight with one of Satan's temptations. I'm sure Pops is going to contact us any minute now." March reassured everyone. Hearing December saying that it is a good thing everybody is here, March smiled and placed his arm on December's shoulder. "You got that right December, I'm glad we get to see each other often now!" March said, smiling happily. However, March suddenly turned irritated and looked towards April. "I'm going to kick your ass..." March said under his breathe referring to April. Out of all the siblings, March and April tends to get into fights, and not just verbal fights but physical fights, the most often. When it comes to combat, they're pretty much on par with each other, and March always strive to find a way to be better than April.

Suddenly, March heard February screaming. "What the-" March became serious and quickly dash towards her position. Getting there, March saw a group of red monsters in the distance. "Whoa, there are more temptations huh? They don't call this Sin City for nothing." March said when he saw the group of red monsters. March then turned towards February with his usual smile. "I'm glad you're alright February, I don't know what I would do if you get hurt." March said before turning to the others. "Don't worry guys, I got this!" March reassured everyone before turning to the temptations.

"You picked the wrong place to be temptations." March said before charging towards the group of temptations. He began to punch away furiously at them, enjoying his time. March then lift one of the temptations up into the air and threw it at the other temptations knocking them off their feet. "Oh c'mon, where are the strong ones?" March asked before jumping into the fray and continued beating on the monsters relentlessly.

"Hehe, good one with the Sin City." December's light magic surrounded him. He readies it. "This one... is for the Temptations." Light forms in his hands, into a ball, and is fired into two Temptations. It disappears inside the skin, and starts to implode. He floats to another, and punches him hard in the Solar Plex. It sends it flying. He turns off the Magic, into his heart. He giggles, and punches a Temptation. "Big things come in Small Packages with us, huh, March?" He turns on his Light Magic again, and grabs a Temptation. He lifts them high in the air, then starts to spin in a Clockwise Motion, like a Rocket. "LOOK OUT GUYS!" He lands in the Rocket formation in the Middle of the Temptations, exploding.

November watched from the distance of the shadows. He didn't know if he wanted to get involved with his one. March looked like he had it handled, after all they were small. November could tell these were pure temptations by looking at them, he could almost smell them. Just to have some fun, November threw one of his shadow bolts at the tiniest temptation. The bolt hit it square in the head knocking him back on his head for a few feet. November laughed to himself at this and though "Worthless temptations. Give us a good battle." November watched his brother, his opposite, December take the temptations. Light was no match for his darkness..

March happily smiled, enjoying fighting alongside his little brother December. "Nice job December, looks like you've been working out huh?" March asked, referring to December being able to lift up one of the temptations. However, March wasn't going to be showed up by his little brother when it comes to strength. "Heh, alright temptations, it's time for all of you to disappear!" March exclaimed as he lifted four of them up all at once and with ease as well. March's aura suddenly materialized to become real flames and began to disintegrate the temptations. Jumping up into the air, March threw the burning temptations onto the ground and let his flames do the rest of the work. Soon, all of the temptations were taken out by March and December, with one being taken out by November. "Yeah, that was pretty fun! Still not what I would consider challenging but at least it helped pass the time. Nice job December, you're getting good." March said with his usual wide smile.

"Thanks, my elder brother. I just used more magic than usual." December smiled. "I wonder.. Why we fight enemies without hesitation, yet the only people anyone else fights are each other... Well, besides November, my polar opposite." December shrugged. I guess it's sibling rivalry, but why would our Father burden us with it when we must be fighting. But, do you have a Opposite, March?" He frowned until the magic returned. Then the smile returned. "I'm gonna look creepy if we're only talking to enemies. I should probably be on a light constant use."

At first, March didn't know how to answer December's question, March isn't as good with words as he is at fighting. "Hmm, well, I think Pops made us this way so we can better understand humans and help them regain faith." March started. "I mean, humans can get scared and become uncertain to things they don't know about right? So imagine if we were perfect beings who doesn't have some types of negative emotions like humans. They wouldn't want to really trust us, but as we are now, humans can connect with us and develop trust in us. So I think that's why the Old Man made us like this." March explained. "Don't worry about it too much December, I mean it's not like we're going to turn on each other. No matter how much one of us have a dislike for another, we won't just stand by watching our family get killed right?" March reassured December.

"And about my opposite, I can't really say I have one, not that I know of anyways, but if you're talking about a rival, there is one of us who I really want to beat up the most." March said before turning to look at April. "Heh, I'm not gonna lose to him." March proclaimed.

November watched the whole conversation. December may be his opposite but he is still his brother. November walked slowly out of the shadows, he stopped for a minute looked up at the sky and back down, he walked next to December and put his hand on December's shoulder and gave him a reassuring smile. Dark and light had always fought, ever since they were created, November knew he still had to get along with the light, meaning his brother no matter how hard it was.

May sighed, tugging at the rim on her hood. More tempations. Why wasn't Father coming? His mere half presence would easily destroy a few simple tempations, couldn't it?

But in any case, she walked over to a small group of the temptations and raised her hood. The temptations stopped in there tracks, gazing at her beauty. She walked towards her with a creepy longing look in their creepy temptatiuon-y eyes, but she simply gestured from them to back away. They back away obediently.

She smiled. It felt good to be in power for a change, rather than being the lone ranger. Her magic wasn't the best, and she could be defeated often by her siblings. Even her younger ones. But she knew how to defeat these temptations. Even if she probably wouldn't enjoy seeing it.

She leant in to the temptations and uttered one word, said so softly only she and the temptations heard.

"Die"

Her command was carried. Each temptation fought itself, killing itself. May grimaced, but continued to look. A waver in contact would stop them. She looked away slightly turning her eyes upward. Still the temptations fought, until finally there was no more noise from below. She sighed, and walked back to the tree, pulling back her hood again. Father would be here soon. Best not seem like she was using her powers maliciously. The boys..... well, Father knew that. That she was sure of.
