Flinsbon Posted July 16, 2011 Report Share Posted July 16, 2011 I celebrate both (mom's side of the family is Jewish, dad's is Catholic) and I have to say that Christmas is better. Christmas is much more joyous and fun. Chanukah is a little too solemn for me. Also, Chanukah is NOT - I repeat NOT - a major Jewish holiday like Christmas is for Christians. Also Chanukah is kinda awkward every year because I can't sing or understand the song they sing when lighting the Menorah.
