Ten years ago, an inscrutable and abnormal territory known as Hell's Gate appeared in Tokyo, altering the sky and wreaking havoc on the landscape. The real stars disappeared, replaced by false stars. During this time, people possessing various special abilities emerged, each capable of different supernatural feats - these are known as Contractors. Each fake star has a corresponding Contractor, which reacts to their activities. As such, Contractors are usually identified by their star's Messier catalogue number. Kept secret from the masses, these individuals are known to murder in cold blood, smothering unnecessary emotions with logic and rationale. Their incredible abilities, however, are gained at the cost of their humanity - Contractors are thus named because of an involuntary compulsion to "pay the price" each time their power is used, which can range from eating particular foods and completing meaningless tasks, to self-harm and having their bodies change in peculiar ways. Various nations and organizations around the world train and utilize Contractors as spies and assassins, resulting in violent battles for valuable objects and information.

Following the failure of the destruction of Hell's Gate, the world's two major underground superpowers clashed for dominance, Pandora and The Syndicate. The two have been for the past several years been trying to secure the end with no end in sight however this changed when Heaven's Gate, the first one, reopened in South America. The force keeping it inaccessible now removed. Now the two organizations move swiftly to control the area in search of it's secrets and the answers to the mysterious circumstances surrounding it.

P.A.N.D.O.R.A. (Physicalquantity Alternation Natural Deconstruction Organized Research Agency) a UN-sanctioned agency charged with jurisdiction of the Gates has grown in power and size since it's creation in order to deal with Contractors and increased activity. However it has become near independent of it's UN “leaders” with it's own forces and facilities. Since fighting between the The Syndicate and itself began, Pandora has recalled quite a lot of it's no-contractor policies and instead use both them and dolls as agents themselves however deep resentment still recides in Humans-Contractor relations.

The Syndicate is a mysterous organization that operates in cells. Their criminal roots strech back far and the appearance of contractors only gave them a new tool to their operations. The leaders of the organization are unknown and each team is given orders via messangers. Although dark, The Syndicate is pro-contractor and thus has attracted a long-standing of Contractor teams. While the goals of the organization are unclear they are detremined to halt Pandora and regain their global underground reign.

Personality: Vance is a well disciplined and loyal soldier, he is very unforgiving of mistakes and very cautious of everyone. He's cold-hearted and tactical genius is counter balanced with his little skill with people, usually assigning aids to communicate as emissaries. His black atmosphere is his public face while alone he shows a small amount of human emotion in searching for his lost sibling. Vance's thinking is very logical and outgoing, seeing people as tools and enemies as objectives in an almost inhuman fashion but his cunning in battle has given him the best survival ratings in the organization stating, "Tools are important so one must take care not to lose them."

Appearance: Vance has his iconic goatee which helps make him look older then he is and a scarred face from many battles as a teenage soldier in P.A.N.D.O.R.A hunting contractors and recon missions. He wears a military Pandora uniform of a white decorated coat with blue accents and the words P.A.N.D.O.R.A sown into side vertically. Hanging out his back pocket is a keepsake antique pocket watch. Standing roughly 6 feet he stands taller then most but only slightly, he sometimes wished he was taller to further encourage people to see him as a leader. Well-built he is about 220 lbs with a muscular body.

Personality: Kyte tries to refrain from using emotions. It's easy because he is a contractor and they are made originally without emotions. It makes it even easier with the assumption that all his emotions just don't exist. He really does have those brotherly connections with Vance still but will try to ignore them if he runs into Vance again.

Appearance: Kyte is slightly leaning on the tall side but nothing to far out of the average. When doing combat/espianoge work that he could be caught in-the-act and get in trouble for, you'd normally find him whereing his blue mask made out of solid water from his ability, this water takes a more metalic form and is a little heavier than if it was made out of ice, the solid water maintian's it's gentle cool from when it was water before and heat won't change that. it is not see-throughable, but has a 3 thin lines for eyes and a mouth-grin mark with 2 small dots for 'nostrals'. He wheres a black cloak with black gloves and boots. The sole's of his boots are made out of solidized air that takes a more fluffly and bendable solid-form, making stepping with these boots hard to make any noise and makes springy jumps more amazing.Kyte has thin and slightly long brown hair and a cute teen-aged face that appears to have a little maturity to it. His eyes have a deep green and unsettling characteristic about them that is scary at first but very hard to remember.

Ability: The Ability to instantly turn any specific object he is touching into another state of matter. Example: Water is a liquid, and if he is touching it and activate's his power while concentrating on the fact that the water is a liquid and thinking about either a gas or a solid, the water will take that form. This Strange ability will create an anomaly, Solid water made by this form isn't Ice, He can turn brick into a luquid, and then turn it solid again so you can be stepping on solid brick that has appeared to be melting like in some kind of fantasy. This works on the certain kind of object he is touching and all foriegn materials in it to a certain extant. He can turn the body of the car, and the class and the rubber on the wheels into liquid-forms but not the interior. The size or form of the object he is changing has yet to be tested for limit because anything large enough to prove a point would raise suspicion and cause more problems than it's worth.

Price of Contract: Every time this ability is used, it can not be used again unless Kyte swallows a pill or small pepple and gags it back up again. His price is supposed to be the pain and fear of chocking and the original submission of swallowing it the first place. There is not a way around this price as it's needs are very percise.

Vance and Kyte are half-siblings. Vance born in America, and their mother's husband died quickly to some fatel illness, causing her to search the world with her young child. Their mother met a young and strong Japanese man with which she fell in love with. 10 years down the road, Kyte and Vance grew up sharring most of their moments together. From there, Both of their parents died in their own ways and oddly fast, Vance taking up a job working in P.A.N.D.O.R.A. without telling slightly younger Kyte. It wasn't long until Kyte went missing and Joing the Syndicate. Now they are close brothers on opposites of this large war.

[spoiler=Personality:] Zinte is a naturally calm young man. After signing into participation for war, which he performed back in Belize, he became mentally insane. He was issued to a mental institute where he was treated for anxiety, and anthropophobia. Anthropophobia is the fear of people or society. He developed this phobia while in the Belizean Army, where turning the corner on your own allies could set you into a catastrophe. A catastrophe which could develop in death. Thus, he felt fear of running into any single person, and ran away from the army. Zinte has been treated for his phobia by kind people, and takes pills to keep himself sane, however, he can be very low-headed sometimes. He is very disobedient, but if he is issued an important job, and if anyone says it's important, he will do the job. Zinte has trust issues ever since his best friend betrayed him in the midst of war, shooting him in his leg in order to escape from enemy fire. Although Zinte cannot stand people, nor society, he is still kind to people, but will question anyone who is anyone, and will take no enemy prisoner. Unlike most Belizeans, he has learned to speak the English language significantly well. [/spoiler]

[spoiler=Bio:] Long ago, on a remote Belizean island, Zinte was born. Zinte was brought to life by his mother, Lilla Fahra, and his father, Zinte Fahra. Zinte received his name from his father whom bear his exact appearance at this same age of 19. Zinte Sr. was bred with the gift of the "Contractors," which is why he died at the young age of 25, when Zinte Jr. was still young. Before Zinte Sr. died, he endowed Zinte Jr. with his abilities, although Zinte Jr. would never learn how to properly use them until he reaches the age of 13. When Zinte was growing up, he was naturally accepted by all, but that was only because no one knew of his powers except his mother and father. In his homeland of Belize, you were listed as a demon or wizard, and were to be executed if you possessed energy that would convince the committee that you had developed powers relative to Black Magic. Zinte Jr.'s birthday was slowly upcoming, unto which he would become a ripe man of age 13. At age 18, like in any country, is when you become a full-fledged adult. It was during his birthday that Zinte would realize his powers. Zinte was playing around with three or four of his friends whom he had been friends with most of his life, when on that fateful day, Zinte had the idea to climb a tree. As Zinte was climbing the tree, he slipped in through it, but he didn't come out the other side. Zinte was moving through the ground at a rapid pace with realization, and when he came out, his friends were petrified with fear. He was diagnosed by all of them as a Black Magic User. This was not true, as he was not bred by anybody with Black Magic, or so he believed. Zinte's mother, Lilla asked him to sit down one morning, where she thoroughly explained the details to him. Zinte's father, Zinte Sr., was capable of moving through objects, and melding with natural atmosphere. What this meant, was that Zinte was capable of combining his cells, with oxygen or carbon cells in the air, thus making certain joints, or muscles or such areas, or organs on his body, almost inanimate and fake. His body could fully function without them being there, but only after his cells had meld with carbon and oxygen cells. Zinte was also capable of melding with water vapor, a transformation called: Condensation or Evaporation/Sublimation. Zinte never attended school after he had realized his powers, and nor did he ever use them in public. At age 15, Belizean Army officials came to Zinte's house, offering him a chance to live past the system that would have originally executed him. While this would go against the Army's residential government, they could not let another power like this slip past their hands, and they decided that they'd exploit in any way possible. What happened with Zinte is a mystery, beside what he had said happened to him in certain occasions. Zinte only remembered a couple of situations in which he was betrayed by fellow soldiers, and made out to be a demon, even in the army, he was not idolized. His powers made him an outcast, and with that feeling bred in his heart, he wasn't much for talking. He was an essential tool, not person, for bringing the war to a raging victory. Other Belizean rebel armys listed him as a demon. Zinte could not stand the abuse any longer, and that was after 4 years in the army. At this time, Zinte had come to manhood, aged 19 years old. A man came to him from an opposing force, having thoroughly wiped out the Belizean army with Black Magic users, and newer century guns. He stood there in survival, his dead comrades battered and destroyed all around him. Zinte had used his power to live through the onslaught, and looked onto the soldiers of the opposing force. The man reached out his hand to Zinte, and offered him a spot in the force of P.A.N.D.O.R.A. With that in mind, Zinte decided that he would join, since fighting wars had been all he'd ever known since he was young. And with that single exchange of hands, Zinte joined a force for a large-scale war. [/spoiler]

[spoiler=Appearance:] Zinte is a tall young man, approximately 6'2". He has wide, broad shoulders, and a built body, although he appears somewhat scrawny. His eyes are a bright green, almost prairie-grass green. He has short black hair, similar to a military buzzcut, with a blonde mohawk line through the middle. He wears the typical Belizean army uniform, until he has been given a uniform to represent P.A.N.D.O.R.A. His torso and legs are of similar length, giving him a somewhat taller figure. His hands are relatively large, and are capable of holding a newborn baby's head in them. His feet are about 13.5" inches long. [/spoiler]

[spoiler=Ability:] Zinte is capable of melding his body's atomic structure with the atoms of carbon dioxide/monoxide, oxygen, and other materials that contains these substances. Zinte is also capable of moving through solidified structures which are made of constructive atomic matter such as water, steel, wood, or earth. Zinte's body is also capable of doing this, since he can shift certain atoms of his body into the atomic structure of the air, or earth. This is how he moves his body into the ground, as if he were melting into it. [/spoiler]

[spoiler=Price of Contract:] By removing atomic structure from a human body, some atoms are permanently removed from the body, if not all that have been removed. Due to this fact, atoms that have been removed from Zinte's body must be replaced with the atomic structure of another [b]living[/b] object, such as trees. If not, the area of his body in which the atomic structure was transformed, can become permanently deformed. [/spoiler]

- Dante is a very determined and headstrong person. Dante, though a logical is a person who is slow to give trust to someone or associations that stems from his compulsive need to obey someone anytime he uses his powers. He still enjoys the company of some close friends and people every once in a while, but he's adjusted more to living where people can't abuse his compulsion to obey whenever he takes the heat out of some thug's hearts for trying to rob him. He is not moralistic, living and surviving by whatever means like most contractors.
- A very level-headed person, he has a good grasp of reason and logic, a talent shared by all contractors. He can also be quite witty, finding ways of people who don't know him to give him an order without raising suspicions, thus fulfilling his contract in secret. His methods of fulfilling his contract so far is subtle theft, whereby he allows himself to be caught and ordered to give the object back and some other clever methods.
[b]Bio:[/b]
- Early in his life, Dante became a Contractor. Oddly, he can't remember how it happened since it was during a time when he was close to passing out from exhaustion. He was 17 at the time and had lived a relatively peaceful life with a family that couldn't have been more normal. That all ended when Dante found out about his new power via an accident that occurred when he drained a family member of all their body heat unknowingly during a family gathering. It became all that was ever talked about in their household. He also found out about the "obeisance" that he was forced to fulfill any order that he was given afterwards, much to the benefit of his brother and sister.
- His father and mother argued for several weeks about it, while Dante became ever more colder and taking on the "Cold and Logical" traits that are mostly associated with Contractors over his usual demeanor. It eventually led to his decision to leave the house, due to the fact that he had nothing more to gain from the situation that was present within the household and he'd be much better off if he was in control of his own fate, rather than leave it to the chance of him getting sent to someplace where he would have no freedom to act at all.
- Thus began Dante's endless journey of wandering from side alley to side alley. It was winter so nobody would suspect people lying in the middle of the alleyway freezing cold and dying of hypothermia, although the police did get suspicious of the money and valuables being taken off their person, the cause of death was always declared hypothermia and no evidence arose to suggest otherwise. No blunt trauma, no evidence of a struggle, no broken bones, and victims never looked like they'd been restrained.

- Dante reaches about 5"8 tall and weighs about 146 pounds.Dante has midnight black hair, kept very unkemptly with a few hairs in front sticking up. He has dark blue eyes and no facial hair. He is usually seen wearing a black jacket that reaches farther down his legs and covering up his dark blue pants and leaving his black sneakers showing.

[Heat Absorption and Manipulation]
- Dante is able to absorb and manipulate heat through his hands. He is able to suck in heat from the environment at a fast enough rate to cause frost to form around him and spread outward the longer he uses this power or absorb heat in a single direction. The chills usually impede the mobility of those around them and cause them to become cold quicker than normal from the heat leaving their body. If need be, He is also able to steal heat from the human body by touch, but the rate is far lessened. The person will feel their body heat being sucked out from the moment he touches them with the power active, however it takes several minutes of constant contact to kill a person, via hypothermia. He is also gains a higher resistance to cold temperatures due to the heat stored within his body.
- His ability to absorb heat can also be used in reverse; to expel absorbed heat for attacks. He can use the absorbed heat to warm the environment or someone else through touch. This causes his body to lose absorbed heat. It can also be expelled in large bursts. If prolonged, victims can also suffer from Hyperthermia; heat stroke and die.
[b]Price of Contract:[/b]
- Dante's "obeisance" for his contract is obedience. He must fulfill the next order he is given by anyone, no matter who or what it is. He can choose if 2 or more people give him an order at the same time.
