[Touhou] 2 Sprite Signatures

I made 2 sprite signatures featuring sprites from the 12.3 (I think) Touhou game Touhou Hisoutensoku. I want to get used to creating sprite signatures. It seems easier and more fun to do so.

I like the first one (Suika Ibuki) more. It's just, Idk how to put this but, better.

Who are you? I've never made a sprite tag so I won't be much help here, but the flow is nice and I like the colors in the first one.

I don't like the sprite crop on the left of the first one, and different colors on the second, IMO, would make it nicer.

Looks like you've found a style you're good at and decided to stick with it without really changing or experimenting.
The text doesn't help much, and the quality could use a bit of work.
Other than that i'm liking it, there is potential here you just have to experiment.

Thanks alot guys. And yeah, I probably shouldn't have added that random sprite crop on the left of the first one. It's out of place. I'll experiment on what I can do differently to improve this style and my text.

I love this style of yours, keep it up. I'm going to agree that sometimes the text is quite excessive and a tiny bit less would perfect your style. I'm definitely not saying make minimalist text as I think a lot is actually quite effective.

What do you use for the light/dust trails - is it a 1 pixel brush, C4Ds, a displace filter or something else?

I totally <3 these pieces though.

Thanks alot. I'll use less text in my upcoming work. For the little dust trails you're talking about, I used a random effect C4D on screen (It should work fine with lighten/linear dodge) and used a displace filter while erasing most of the displaced layer.

Btw, nice signature, lol.
